Airport non configuré

Bonjour,
Cordialement Patrice

  • Airport Utility 5.6 will no longer read Airport Express Configuration; no longer able to stream from MacBook Pro

I have an old airport express ( 1st one ever I think)  up until today I was able to use it with iTunes and also Airfoil to stream music.  Today I cannot stream music from my MacBook Pro 2008 ( OS X 10.8.3)  Airfoil sees the Airport Express but cannot connect, iTunes see it, but will not connect.  When I try to connect with Airfoil the error message is "Airfoil was unable to connect to the remote speaker "little fish". Please check the remote speaker and try again."
iTunes just tries to connect and then times out.
I have AU 5.6 in order to use the old AE.  It sees the AE and give me a summary page.  But if I try "manual set up" or the "continue" button - I get "reading the Airport Express configuration" and then eventually "An error occured while reading the configurarion.  Make sure your Apple Wi-Fi base station is plugged in and in range of your computer or connected via Ethernet and try again.  (-6753) "
I tried a soft reset, no help.
I tried a hard reset and I was able to see the new airport express and it allowed me to set it up again, then it restarted and everything was the same as before I reset.
I can stream to the Airport Express from my iPhone and my iPad
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?

It appears that the printer is OK and is on the network.  Eventually you may want to set a static IP address for it, but let's get things working first.
The first thing I would try would be to reset the printing system on all the problem Macs:
    - Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    - Right (control) click the print queue area and select Reset Printing System.
    - Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
If this does not do it there may be something going on with the router.  I have a few ideas if this is required.  Let me know.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Is there a way to automatically backup the Airport Extreme Configuration file (.baseconfig)?

Is there a way to automatically backup the Airport Extreme Configuration file (.baseconfig).
I know (in hindsight) that I can manually export it from the Airport Utility, but ideally I would like to include it in my Time Machine backup. I had a situation where my Airport Extreme (3rd generation) just stopped working (no lights, no power). I had not exported the config file. I bought a new Airport Extreme (5th generation) and had to manually configure the new router.
    Thanks

One option would be to use Automator and record the actions to run the AirPort Utility; save the configuration file to the desktop (or any other location you want), and then, close the utility. You can then either make this a part of your login startup programs. Time Machine then should be able to make backups.

  • Non-configurable materials with EK02 costing

    Hi all,
We have a range of non configurable manufactured materials which, when used in standard sales orders, generate a production order and BOM. Presently the cost is automatically generated from the material master and is populated as a VPRS cost.
As these materials have a BOM we want the cost to pick up from the BOM instead, ie as an EK02 cost. If we enter such a material and do a manual recost the EK02 populates in the sales order item conditions but we cannot get it to populate automatically as it does with configurable materials with BOMs.
In the define item categories section in SPRO we have removed the determine cost tick. This has the desired effect of removing the VPRS cost but the EK02 cost still doesn't pull through. In the Bill of Material / Configuration section of the item category we tried setting the structure scope to A (Explode single-level bill of material) and B (Explode multi-level bill of material) but this didn't work. If we set it to D (Configuration, poss. with BOM explosion), then we get the "item can be configured but there is no configuration" error when used in a sales order which is expected as these products have no configuration.
We also tried deleting the standard cost held in the material master to see if, as that value was now blank, it would pick up the EK02 instead but, alas, this also ddn't work.
Any help / suggestions would be most appreciated.
    Kind regards, Rob

    HI,
We are maintaining the Service masters for the services we render, there is no valuation of Inventory as only service is being rendered.
But we have maintained BOM and Routings for the services we render.
Even there is no valuation class in the serivice masters as this is non valuated.
Can you guide me more on this pls.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Airport: Not Configured after 10.4.7 update

I just bought a new macbook 2.0Ghz, proceeded through the first-time installation wizard setup my wifi settings, and everything worked fine.
At first boot in macosx i had my wifi working and i was able to browse and download things.
I installed the 10.4.7 macosx update, restarted, then lost my wifi connection.
    The signal indicator reads
    Airport: Not Configured
and in the network settings under 'Network Port Configuration' I see a greyed out 'AirPort' configuration. I can"t enable it. I can't add a new one either since the only choices are Bluetooth, Builtin firewire/ethernet, 6 to 4
I found a knowledge base article describing a similar problem:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303437
But the described workaround doesn't seem to work.
I also tried to reinstall the 10.4.7 update using the combo installer, the issues remain.
I ran also the permission repair utility at various stages in the process, it never detected any errors.
In the System Profiler under network/Airport section, i see:
    Airport Card Information:
    Type: AirPort Extreme [..]
    Locale: Worldwide
    Firwmare: 0.1.24
Current Wireless Network: AirPort is currently turned off
I know the card is there and working, since linux happily uses it when i boot in linux.
Has anyone any clue about what's happening ?
Is there a simple 'enable' button somewhere, or is that a known isse with 10.4.7 updater, how can i revert to 10.4.6 then ?
    Thanks a lot!
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

It's actually a bit more weird:
When stepping through the first-time boot wizard, it asks to select the wifi essid from a list, the scan is ok and shows my network, and i type the WEP key in the box, click next. The 'Configuring your computer' blinks then the setup goes on and asks for my .Mac account and so on.
After the wizard completes i'm able to surf the web and connected BUT !
The signal meter is always empty and clicking on it states 'Airport: Not Configured'. When i open the network preferences it says under 'current status' that i'm using the builtin ethernet device ??!!
The IP and dhcp re-lease stuff work in the UI even if it's clearly not the builtin ethernet card that i'm using since the IP is from the wifi router, and there is no cable plugged in, and i can access the internet.
No mention of Airport port in the setup, so i can't configure it.
As soon as i restart the connection is gone, and the setup created by the first-time wizard is gone.
So the situation is now i have a 10.4.6 os with no airport..

  • Implementing Variant configuration with Non-configurable assembly

    Hi Gurus!
I have a scenario but don't know how to implement it.
My header material is configurable and has 3 semi-finished components under it. One of the semi-finished component contains a BOM with 2 raw materials, but this component is not configurable. I mean my model has a multi-level BOM but single a single level configuration. I want to implement an assemble-to-order manufacturing process for the header material. The component with 2 BOM items is manufactured in-house and the other semi-finished components are procured externally.
What kind of planning strategy should I use at the header level and should I maintain any special planning strategy for the non-configurable assembly?
I am new to SAP and also to variant configuration. So please give detailed explanation.
I have read the Planning strategies in the link SAP Library - Demand Management (PP-MP-DEM) but it is too confusing to me.
    Best Regards,
    Thileepan P

    Hi Caetano Almeida
Thank you for the links. I got a few more questions after reading that.
    1. In order type settlement profile which order should I check? I am creating a sales order (OR) for a configurable material in MTO strategy 25. In that case should I check "SD1    Sales Order MTO Production"? If so, am I looking at the right screen (refer screenshot below) and  are the settings correct in my system?
    2. As you have mentioned in the other links. Is it fine to make changes in material valuation in OMS2? Have you come across any situation in which this change has led to other inconsistencies?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Thileepan

  • Reading the AirPort Extreme configuration...

    AirPort Extreme: 7.4.1
    AirPort Utility: 5.4.2
    OS X Version: 10.5.7
When using AirPort Utility of my 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro I get a long wait (either Manual or Continue) while the pinwheel spins next to "Reading the AirPort Extreme configuration..." After about 5 mintes a get a dialog box
"An error occurred while reading the configuration.
Make sure your Apple wireless device is plugged in and in range of your computer or connected via Ethernet and try again. (-6753)"
The Airport Extreme shows up in Finder, but I cannot access it. I'm connected to the internet just fine (I'm posting this).
Any ideas how I get to actually access the AEBS? I've read other threads on this (they're old and closed) but did not see a conclusion.
    Regards,
    John

Just went through the same thing myself. Set everything up, it worked like a charm, then I clicked on this innocent little button: Allow setup over WAN. I unchecked it because I don't want to allow WAN connections to configure my router, thank you very much.
However, what that checkbox really means is, "You are screwed, you can never configure your router ever again, regardless of whether you are connecting over the WAN, the wireless network or even the LAN (direct ethernet connection).
The other thing I discovered while researching this is, If you want to reset the router as you will absolutely HAVE TO DO to get around this problem once you've clicked and saved that one setting, and you have a blinking amber light, and holding the reset button for minutes doesn't appear to have any effect, what you do is: unplug the router, push the reset button and hold it, plug in the router while holding the reset button. 5 or so seconds later you will get a quick flashing amber like and you have successfully reset it.
Now I need to figure out how to file a bug to Apple. I assume this is a bug. It's a huge security whole and I am really ****** off about it.

  • Air port won't turn on, it says AirPort:Not Configured why? how do i fix this help!

I dont know what is going on! My kids did something while I left it charging. It won't let me connect to the internet, its saying Airport off and at first when I tried clicking Airport on, it would'nt work now its in grey saying 'Airport: Not configured'. How do I fix this? help!

  • Airport not configured under snow leopard

whenever I select my wireless connection in the menu bar, it states the following 'airport: not configured'... i tried to re enable it within network preferences, but I couldn't. what should i do?

That wasn't my issue at all. what had happened was that somehow or another, the service 'Airport' (in the list of network connections) became corrupted, so I made a new 'Airport' connection file for the list. it was the weirdest thing, but it actually happened, so go figure!

  • Non configurable Assembly and Configurable Assembly

    Hi
Can somebody correct my understanding of these two concepts.
Non Configurable Assembly: The header material will have child components but it is not activated for configuration.
Configurable Assembly: The header material will have child components and over above these the header item is also elgible to be configurable.
    Kind Regards
    Chakradhar

In the standard R/3 System, the following item category groups determine which item categories are assigned to configurable materials in the sales order:
    · Item category group 0002
Pricing and transfer of requirements for header material
    · Item category group 0004
Pricing and transfer of requirements for components
The BOM of the configurable material may contain configurable assemblies, which are copied to the sales order as subordinate items. The item category group of the materials and the item category of the superior material determine the item category of these subordinate items.

    Bonjour,
    Cordialement

  • AirPort Utility hangs on "Reading the AirPort Extreme configuration"

Our main router is our AirPort Extreme. We have two other AirPort expresses on the WDS. Everything was working fine till tonight. All the computers can connect with the router and with each other, but the AirPort Extreme doesn't want to connect to the internet or let the AirPort Utility connect to it. When you click on it for either Auto or Manual config, it just hangs with the message, "Reading the AirPort Extreme configuration". After a while it will time out and say, "An error occurred while reading the configuration." I've tried connecting with both a MBP over wifi and a G5 tower via ethernet. Same result each time. Finally I did a factory reset on the thing. After a while of reconnecting I was able to load up a saved .baseconfig file and reinstall it onto the APExtreme. The AirPort freaked out again. It still gives out IPs and routes network traffic, but it wont connect to the internet and it wont let me connect to it via AirPort Utility.
    Any ideas?

Check the firmware of the airport, versus the software of the airport utility on the computers in question, the 2 should match reasonably; the latest of the 2 are airport utility 5.4.1, and firmware 7.4.1. So for instance if you have airport utility 5.4.1 and airport firmware 7.4 the 2 will not read correctly and may hang in random spots, or give you other weird problems. Assuming this does not fix it connect the airport directly to the computer through one of the LAN ports and configure it that way

  • Stuck on "Reading the airport extreme configuration"

Strange problem here. I have an AEBS with a Win7 PC and my Mac Pro connected to it, sharing a USB printer. All good until yesterday when I needed to troubleshoot a printer problem and tried to verify settings on the AEBS via my Mac Pro. It won't allow me in, just says "Reading the airport extreme configuration"... I let this go on for over 30 mins.
I tried restarting from Airport Utility. No luck.
I tried unplugging it, then waiting, then plugging it back in. No change.
I tried re-setting it using a paper clip. No change, but...
Airport Utility popped up on the Win 7 PC, and it allowed me in, no problemo. I restored and then verified my settings, etc.
But on my Mac, I can't get in. Any insights would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Add me to the list of users who are having the same problem. We are a school district that has 125 airports in 6 buildings. 70 of them are the new Airport Extreme Dual Band units. Of the 70 new units, 18 are having this problem.
"File -> Configure Other" does not change the behavior of the 18 unresponsive units. They can be programmed after a factory reset, and sometimes connected to shortly after the initial "Update" but after few hours, they cannot be accessed anymore.
I have been in contact with Apple support. Their only solution was to shrug their shoulders and tell me to start replacing them. After replacing 2, I had the same problems with 1 of the two replacements.
Something that may also be related. We have occasional short term power outages (3 seconds or less). After an outage like that, a significant number of the airports will reject clients until they (the airports) are properly rebooted.
Sounds like they need to fix the firmware.

  • Difference between configurable and non configurable finished goods master

    Hi
Pl explain the difference between configurable and non configurable finished goods master data.
    Thanks
    kamala

    Hi,
Configurable material are used when you have a large number of combination of parts that go into a product. It means different combinations of the parts for same material. If you maintain a unique material code for each combination , you require a large number of material numbers. KMAT is used in such a case where you maintain just one generic product code. You assign class to this material having all variant characteristics.
A super BOM is maintained for such a material consisting of all possible alternatives. A super routing is also maintained consisting of all possible operations that could be used.
Typically configurable material is used in Made To Order (MTO) environment. However frequently ordered configurations may be planned with a material variant which needs to have a material master record. Thus Material variants may have stock and value. Depending upon characteristic values chosen at sales order entry Sales Order BOM is created. Routing operations are also chosen depending upon which BOM components are assigned to them.
Non configurable materials are like finish, semi finish materials having fixed BOM.  A separate/single BOM exits for every finish material.
    Revert back for more info.
    thanks and regards,
    Man

  • Can't read the airport express configuration

    hi there,
i've got an AIPORT EXPRESS (b/g) V 6.3, which has been working marvellously for 4 year, with 3 different laptop ( powerbook, macbook pro and PC).
since last week end, my connection on internet was really slow (with the ethernet cable the connection is really fast as usual).
So I've reseted it. then reconfigure it. no problem.
then this saturday my girl friend couldn't see the network on her PC.
    so I've resetted it again!
since then my macbook pro see it, also my airport utility, but it can't connect to it....
airport utility says :reading the airport express configuration... and nothing !!!!
EDIT: also iTunes can't see the AE anymore...
i just don't know what to do.
    thank you for your solution
(hope my english not to bad)

Hello Relaxxx. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Although I know you have tried several resets, please try another "factory default" reset to get the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) back to its original factory configuration so that we can administer it.
After resetting it, connect your MacBook Pro directly, using an Ethernet cable, to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then, run the AirPort Utility to configure it. Where you able to access it now?
Once configured, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable. Using the AirPort Status icon in the menu bar, verify that you are connected to the AX's wireless network. Are you now able to both find it and connect from the icon?
Once you verified that you can access the AX, both via wire and wirelessly from the Mac, try the PC.
