Airport working only without using password

Our home network with Macbooks and the Airport (10 years old?) to DSL cable modem stopped connecting. I unplugged the Airport, pushed in the little button with paperclip and powered it up again, still holding the button 20 seconds. Then the Airport was recognized with its original name, and I could connect wirelessly to our Airport with no security set up. When I tried setting up the Airport to it's special name, with WEP password (13 digits), it seemed to set up okay and my Macbook sees the new name and appears to connect to it, but interne does not work after the new name/password are assigned. Network diagnostics says all is green until the last two spots which are yellow (internet and server). If I take the ethernet cord from cable modem out of the airpot and plug it directly into Macbook, the internet works fine.
I reset the Airport again and with the generic name/no password setting I can connect to it wirelessly fine and use internet, but I do not want to use the Airport unsecured. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any tips!!

OK, I have an airport express, so I just plug the ethernet from the XBox into that and use Airport setup utility to 'find' the express and add it to the network, then add the password protection for the network and the XBox should hold onto the network this time ..... ?

Nirav,
The Integer type UDF is the answer.
If you have a large amount of values to convert, you might create a new Integer UDF ("UDF_INT"), and use a GlobalChange to move them. Example: where "UDF_NUM" is not equal to " ", "UDF_INT" = "UDF_NUM".
This will put your values in the new field without decimals.

Otherwise, only a constant buzz, accompanied by regular clicks (repeating 2-3 times/sec) can be heard by called persons or when recording a memo. Okay I just solved the problem myself..
For anyone that may have the same issue:
The microphone used when recording video, is the little dot next to the jack on top of the iPhone 4S (maybe also iPhone 4, don't know). There was some dirt in this tiny little hole, and I simply just removed it with a very thin needle, and now it works great!

Bypass screen lock without using password

When the iphone screen is locked you can use the camera (with new iOS5). When you quit the camera, you have access to the iphone without using the password.
Which begs the question: what good is the password?
Is there anyway to fix this?

Had another play this morning with this one and I don't think it is as bad as I thought.
I had mistakenly thought that if I switched the screen off using the power button that the phone would be locked and would therefore need a pass code entered to unlock it. This isn't the case. The pass code is only activated after a set amount of time (5 minutes in my case). When the pass code is activated then I couldn't bypass the pass code screen in the way described above.
I still think it is a little confusing that when you go into the camera app from the lock screen and try and view pictures that it tells you the phone is locked and you need to unlock the phone, but if you hit the home button you get to the home screen with the phone unlocked (since it wasn't actually locked in the first place), but that is just a bit of misleading text rather than a security issue.

I would like to know why the PUT KEY command to set a new key set only works if a secure channel is opend without secure messaging. My smartcard is GP 2.1.1 compatible.
This is a problem because I'm not allowed to open a secure channel without secure messaging when the smartcard state is SECURED. I even don't know why this is not allowed. Visa Platform 2.0.1 defines this behavior but I can't find it in the GP 2.1.1 spec.

You can't. Your mysterious benefactor must remove the device from her (I guess you know it's a her?) iCloud account by logging into icloud.com, going to Find my iPhone and removing from there.

I would try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Safari and delete cache, history and cookies.

AD is NOT working only when using SMB

We have all our user account defined in Active Directory. Our Xserve (10.4.9) is bound to the AD using the forest and domain name. (With "Creat mobile account" enabled)
All Mac end-users can mount AFP shares and using Jabber iChat with their AD account name and password.
But when Windows user tried to mount the shared points with their AD account, they always got message saying "User name or password is not correct", but we know they are using the right name and password. The only way Windows users (or Mac users using SMB://server_name) can access SMB shares are the local users. NO AD users can use SMB.
The same AD users can use AFP just fine.
Anyone might have any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Regarding the screen issue:
Do you have an problem only with the screen or there is an general table problem using the battery?

E-mail Reply function no longer works -- only when using Firefox. Gives blank compose screen. Have tried settings changes. Have un and re installed firefox.

Problem does not occur when using a different browser.

Is it Yahoo! mail?? Many users have discovered all kind of problems and glitches with Yahoo! mail in Firefox when using an old bookmark saved before Yahoo!'s recent server changes.
