AirPrint Problem

Hello,
I use a hp photosmart 5510 with AirPrint. I was able to print with my iphone5. But then I had a problem with my router. I had to configure the whole Network new. And since then I couldn't print with AirPrint anymore.
I looked through different websites to find a solution. Some thought it might be a vodafone problem.
Yesterday I had a Specialist who configured aigain everything new - but without solving the AirPrint problem.
Therefore I tried to print out through another Network that uses Kabel Deutschland wifi.
But this was also not possible.
Now I think my iphone might be responsible for the AirPrint problem.
Can anybody help me? It was so easy to print with AirPrint...
Thank you!!

    Hi,
Firstly please check to see if your printer in the list:
      http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
If YES, you can use this to fix
      http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
If NO you have to print using other apps (if applicable) such as

  • AirPrint problems and Canon PIXMA MP495

Checking out the options on the iPhone.
    I have a Canon PIXMA MP495 printer/scanner/copier Etc.
Works fine on the Wi-Fi (Both Mac's & PC)
And with Canon iEPP i can print photos scans on the iPhone over the Wi-Fi.
Now the problem selct the print option in a mail/word/pdf page and reply
    "No AirPrint Printers Found"
    Anyone else see this problem?
    Anyone got a fix?
Currently i have a "help" call to Apple for next Wednesday 0800 GMT.
So if no one comes back with a solution i'll report back then.
    Regards,
    S&F
    alan.

For anyone still searching for an answer to this question (specifically about the MP495 Model), I found the following response from a Canon employee to a similar question posed on the Canon US website:
While Canon would like to extend AirPrint support for other models, unfortunately AirPrint support will be limited to the currently announced models (PIXMA MG5320, PIXMA MG6220 and PIXMA MG8220), and most of the inkjet printers going forward. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and would hope you support our decision.
However, you are able to print with your iPhone to the unit via the free Canon Easy-Photo Print app available through the Apple Store. The app will allow you to print pictures, but not documents.

  • AirPrint problems

I have a AirPrint compatible HP printer however when I try to print from my iPhone or iPad I can't find the printer, Any solutions guys?

    Hi Keyse
Try this from Lynque forum AirPrint with Bluetooth here is the link https://discussions.apple.com/message/16455489#16455489
"You can't print via bluetooth on iOS as far as I know, but you can use a third-party application in Mac OS to enable any printer to work with AirPrint. It's called AirPrint Activator and works with printers on your local network or directly connected to a computer " http://netputing.com/airprintactivator/airprint-activator-v2-0/
I have installed AirPrint Activator v2.1b4 (intel) thanks to Lynque my problem is fixed. "It Just Works" Have fun

  • Hp officeject 6700 premium airprint problem

    Hi,
I can print to my HP 6700 from Macbook no problem, but when I try to print from iphone4 or ipad, it says print job is sent but nothing comes out...
I've restarted the router (BrightBox) many times, along with the ipad, macbook and iphone but still no joy.
Please help before I lose my mind!! I bought the printer purely to be able to print from ipad!!
    Thanks in advance, Helen.

    Hey Helen,
I see you are having an issue getting the AirPrint service to work with your Officejet 6700 Premium.  This printer does support AirPrint and can function with these devices.  However, it has to be connected to a router that has the proper support for the AirPrint service.  You mention that you have a BrightBox router, however I can't find any info about this brand/model of router.  What is the model number off the bottom of your router and do you know the full name of the unit?
The router has to support Multicasting and Bonjour to be able to use AirPrint.  With the information about your router name/model I will search to see if this router can support AirPrint.

  • HP Laserjet M1217nfwMFP Airprint Problem

I have a HP Laserjet Pro M1217nfw MFP connected to a network and the ipad 2 will recogonize and print fine but will not stop printing until I hit the home button twice and stop the printing through the iPad printer queue. I restored the iPad to factory settings but reloaded the backup from my PC...the airprint worked fine until I updated to the most current operating system. I installed the Printer Pro app but the HP seems to have a lock on the printer dialog box and can't get the Printer Pro to pop up. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi,
This is a known issue and you will need to cancel the print jobs manually till a firmware update will be released.
You may find more information about this issue stated below:

Edit: A new firmware been released, instaling this firmware update should fully resolve the issue:

  • Apple ios 8 airprinter problems

We have an HP Photosmart Plus B210 e-printer that was working perfectly with our ipads and i5s phones before upgrading yesterday to the new ios 8 operating system. Now they will not allow printing from these devices. All of the devices recognize the printer but give back an error message of "printer Offline" but it is not. Other non-apple devices print fine on it. Contacted Apple Support but they are essentially clueless about the issue and suggested that we contact HP for a firmware update. I told the them this is not the problem. They supposedly are following up.
I have tried restarting the printer and also deleted the wireless network from tne devices and reestablished it but to no avail. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Evidently this was a problem with the advent 0f ios 7 also.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
Pleae try rebooting any of the devices and check if that may help:
    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Unplug the router for 30 seconds, plug its power back and allow it 2-3 minutes to iniitalize.
    3. Turn the printer on and tery printing again.
If he same persists, I would also ensure the latest firmware is installed for the printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c02838391&lc=en&product=4021935&tmp...
If there is still no change, another step I may suggest is resetting the network settings of an iOS device and check for any difference. That can be done from Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Say thanks by clicking the Kudos thumb up in the post.

  • Airprint problem with iOS 7

    Hello everybody,
My printer is successfully configured on my Archlinux machine with CUPS printing system. I can print with it over the network with windows clients and even airprint with an apple device (with ios 6 installed).
However I have an iPhone with iOS 7.0.4 and I can't seem to be able to print with it, the iPhone is able to locate the printer and even send a print job to the cups service, but the jobs are stuck on "processing since".
Cups seems to be unable to process the ios 7 jobs. Again I'm able to print with ios 7 and windows/unix clients.
    Thanks for the help.

I used this script for printing. How did you configure it?

Recently my Hp B110a doesn't print out like normally.  When I click print and it say 'no printer connection'  I tried to turn off the wireless and set it up again and turn the printer on and off and still doesn't work.  I have give up trying to make it print so I went out and came back to use my laptop normally, after a couple of days the printer just print out by it self.  Is it because of the connection or I have to update the product? and how do I update the product?

  • IPad 2 first impressions

First off I would like to state that I have no question.
I got my iPad today and have been setting it up and playing with it on/off for the last 5 to 6 hours. I actually had wanted to buy an iPad since it was introduced a year ago. I waited because of the experience that I had with purchasing the 1st generation MacBook Air, which was a in my opinion was a disaster. Even though the 1st gen iPad is a fine tablet, I am glad that I had waited.
Everything seems to be fine with this iPad.
    No WiFi problems
    No display issues
    No AirPrint problems
No AirPlay problems (to AppleTV 2)
    No Home Sharing problems
I haven't tried the 3G service yet, but I have tried pretty much everything else.
Photos look great, video is great, and Netflix works really well.
I really like the looks, feel and functionality of this tablet.
The only thing I would like to see upgraded is the cameras.
They don't have to be great, but they should be better than what they are currently.
Now if we could get all the websites to convert their flash to html5 all would be great.
Then I could get rid of my laptop and just have a tablet and a desktop.

My first impression of the iFad II was dismal. Stuck pixels and lots of light bleeding around the edges, even with the level at or below 50%.
I did not like the design of the unit - it's light weight, and the distribution of that weight makes the unit "feel" like with will fall out of your hands very easily.
I took mine back and got a refund for the quality control issues, and then I went to Verizon Store and bought an iFad I - 32g Wifi for $399. The 16g was $299. ATT has a sale for the 64g model at $529 (on-line only).
Those prices listed above make the unit finally worth buying given the functionality.
I am not an Apple basher, been here since 85', but the new iFad II leaves a lot to be desired in many areas....
Also spoke with someone at Apple Care and in the Tech department, and they said that Apple has ceased production of the iFad II model because of the quality control issues I listed above. They said that the factory will resume shipping on April 21st after these issue are fixed.
Just reporting what was said to me . . . .
