AirPrint setup on Ipad2.

Cannot see the AirPrint printer on ipad2.

I went to HP's web support and found that if your bluetooth is turn on, this will not allow your printer to show up. Go into settings/General/Bluetooth/ and turn off bluetooth. When I did this, my airprint works again.

What make and model printer are you using? What app are you using to print?

  • AirPrint setup

    Hello there.
Have just bought a small Canon wireless enabled printer and tried yesterday to set it up to print from my iPad and Macbook Pro. I currently tether my iPhone 4 for internet access but seem to be unable to access Wifi to get the printer to work. What do I need to do? Help please ....

If you get on the Canon website and look up your printer, you will find more information on setup for airprint
Wireless printers usually need to be connected via cable to a computer to setup wireless printing. (Often a firmware update is needed)
again, all this should be on Canon's website.

  • Can I use AirPrint on my ipad2 with an office jet pro 8000 wireless?

I am currently using hp Eprint home and biz but can't print from pages

    Hi Unkljoey,
Are you referring to web pages inside the HP Home & Biz app, or are you referring to the actual app Pages?
Currently the Office Jet Pro 8000 Wireless does not support AirPrint or ePrint. The only way to print from the internet or selected saved files is to use the HP Home & Biz app. Here is a list of ePrint and AirPrint compatible printers.
In order to print web pages with the app it is required that you register the app itself with your eprincenter.com account. You can do this by selecting ePrint in the top right corner on the app, and then choose register with ePrint.

  • Unable to AirPrint on my iPad2.

Have followed all the fixes suggested by HP and Apple. Still does not work. Have learnt via the Talk Talk Community Forum as a result of other users complaints that it is probably a Router problem. Apparently a fix is coming in Feb, 2014.
Anyone else aware of this. A new is in the post but no guarantee of any improvement. Anyone got an interim solution. Have a new Photosmart 7250.

    Hi,
Your printer is NOT an ePrint printer, it also is NOT an AirPrint printer (the 7520 is):

  • HT201184 On itinial setup of Ipad2, it has located my Blekin router, it has accepted the password but it won't go any further with a circle continually spinning to the left of the router name displayed?

On itially trying to set up my Ipad 2. Selected language, then country. On reaching the options for Wi-Finetworks it displayed the name for my existing Belkin router. I selected this and then entered the password. It then went back to displaying the networks showing good signal strength  but to the left of the name for my router there is a circle which keeps spinning and an intermittent circle which keeps appearing to the right of the title "Choose a network."
The option in the top right corner to move onto the "next "screen can not be used.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Remote works on my iPhone 4, but not the new iPad2 I just got.  Both setup the same ios5.1.1 9B206.  remote 2.3 (379)

Remote sharing is on.  Verified my account and password are same.  When I launch remote I get the  "Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer or on Apple TV using the account [email protected]"
If I go to settings, I see home sharing is on, and it says "Remote will autonatically find the iTunes libraries and Apple TV's that have Home Sharing turned on using the account [email protected]
Just to test connectivity, I clicked on "Add an iTunes Library to add a computer that is NOT using home sharing and it gives a code, and under devices on iTunes, you see "iPAd".  So iTunes recognizes the iPad.
But what it SHOULD do is automatically connect, because Home Sharing is on, and I've put in a valid ID and password on the iPad.
I can launch Remote on my iPhone 4, right next to it, using same ID, and it works fine
On both devices, ios is 5.1.1 (9B206)   Remote is 2.3 (379)
It sounds like an issue with the iPad2 itself
As I was typing this out, I got to thinking about any router changes I had made.
I remembered that recently I had changed my WLAN settings from WPA2 Personal and AES algorithm to Mixed WPA/WPA2 Personal and TKP & AES algorithm.  But this was before I setup the iPad2, so it may not have any bearing.  But because I was thinking about it.........
So even though WIFI seemed to be working OK for everything, I removed my automatic connection to my WIFI, and recreated the connection, and Remote came right up when I launched it.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
All of your help is much appreciated, thanks

  • HT2693 My iPhone & iPad can't recognize my airprint compatible printer. My printer: Samsung SCX-3405 HW. Any one help me??

My printer is Samsung SCX-3405 HW that is airprint compatible.
But my iPhone & iPad can not recognize it.!
    Help me please. What's wrong?!
    Thank you

I've just installed this printer and enabled - everything is working on airprint with my iPad2, iPad Air, Macbook and Mac Mini.
The trick was to connect to the printer's wireless network directly (the direct connect box must be clicked when you're setting up with a USB connection) first.  The next time I tried to find the airprint printer, it was there.
There is a password associated to the printer's direct connect network as well (setup utility gives you this).  I'm guessing that once it's in the keychain for the device, it can find it and connect to it.
Anyway - this should solve the mystery.  It's all installed and working.  I didn't have to do a firmware upgrade (not available except as a windows.exe file), but I did install the latest driver off of the support community.  I couldn't get the scanner to work until the driver was up to date.
I'm running OSX 10.9, printer is Samsung SCX-3405FW, iPad software is latest on both iPads.

  • Exchange setup via local address

    Hi Folks
Am trying to setup an iPad2 so that it connects to our exchange server locally via wifi. am trying to avoid it using proxy and external sites.
Has anyone managed to set one up this way as im struggling to get the exchange account setup to work. I can use safari and connect to the local address fine though which is odd?
    thanks

    Thanks for the reply
Its a wifi only model and its connecting to my windows 2008 r2 domain wireless network, we want to avoid using the proxy and letting the user have access to the web. Hence why were trying to configure it to use the local address for our exchange server. As i previously said, that address works via safari yet the mail exchange setup doesnt accept it.
    cheers

  • Can you AirPrint an iPhoto from an iPad?

AirPrinting from an iPad2 to a new EPSON Artisan 730 works very well except I can't airprint a photo directly out of iPhoto.  All other aspects work well even airprinting an email that contains a photo.  It seems to be a problem with iPhoto - the printer spits out an erroneous "paper jam or out of paper" message.  Any ideas please.

  • Enable AirPrint on Artisan 837

STILL getting "No AirPrint Printers Found"
First of all, yes this is an AirPrint printer.
So, I picked this up despite everything in my head telling me I didn't need it.  Well, I'm tired of emailing things to myself to print, so to heck with it.
I've used Artisan printers in the past and know their quirks, but this is my first bout with anything AirPrint.
Full disclosure - Wondows 7 user.  I have an iPad 2 and iPhone 4S running the latest iOS (5.0.1, right?) - just checked and there were no updates.
Artisan 837 is on and connected to my WiFi.  I can print just fine.  I have the latest drivers and went to Epson's AirPrint "support" page to get the latest firmware.
    http://support.epson.net/airprint/fw.html
I went to the printer's IP on my network through a browser and setup Google Cloud print and AirPrint.  Google is working just fine.
    Here is the AirPrint setup...
Bonjour Service Name    - Artisan837 (ususally "EPSON Artisan 837")
Bonjour Location            - is this like a workgroup?  I've tried it blank (defaults to Epson's own thing) and with a custom name
Top Priority Protocol       - two choices, both of which I've tried.  "Port9100" (default and current) and "IPP"
I've also used the browser interface to check for firmware updates - I'm using the latest version!
Despite all of this, time and time again, I get "No AirPrint Printers Found."  And I'm printing from standard iPhone applications - pictures, email, Safari, etc.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
Epson's guides make NO mention of AirPrint.  The only way I knew to check the FW was an orange insert they taped to the printer.  Their site is undergoing maintainance right now and I can't get to any support numbers... not sure they'd help me much, anyway.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've been at this for a while, and am... very irritated to say the least.

I've had the Epson Artisan 837 running for a few months now.  I have been so impressed with it's performance, reliability and functions that I've installed a continuous ink supply system (which is also running brilliantly).  I've also dumped my hp and canon printers, compared to the Epson, they're nothing but money suckers.
"Well, I just got off the phone with Epson, and it looks like I'm not crazy: this thing is defective.  And by that, I don't mean just mine, but ALL Epson 837 printers are defective!  There is a hardware issue that keeps these things from updating their firmware.  Again, this is a hardware defect, so NO updates will fix this.  So I would be able to print to this if I was using version 4.x of iOS, but not 5 or higher."   -   Although I do believe this comment was probably made by an Epson employee,  I completely dissagree, however not surprised.
First thing I did when taking it out of the box was update the firmware.  That was easy, no problems at all.  Didn't fail and it only had to be done once because the firmware updated as expected the first time (unlike some apple and samsung firmware updates).
AirPrint set up was a total breeze, as was the rest of the printer set up.  The printer is visable to every device (and there is a lot) on my rarther large convoluted network covering mutiple houses and half a street.
Every model iOS device works flawlessly with airprint - including every model iphone except the 3G (all running iOS 5.0.1).  There are quite a few flavours of windows machines and a couple of macs (iMac & Mac Pro) and all of the have flawless access to pretty much every feature of the printer.
The one problem I MAY have found, a user on my network mentioned difficulty printing using windows, IE9, however once the user switched to firefox the problem ceased to exist.  I have not verified this because I don't really care, just thougt I'd mention it because I cannot find anything else to fault with this model.
I'm sorry people here have been having difficulties with this printer - for me it has been a dream.  I'll never buy another hp or canon now I've been using this Epson printer.
The desk space, money, ink, maintenance time and paper saved by using the Epson over the other printers/scanners has been immeasurable.
    Don't buy a HP!

  • Airprint ios 7

After updating to ios 7 the airprint on ipad and iphone will not longer find the airprint printers.
    Have reset network settings.
Have confirmed network connection and can enter the printers web page by the IP address.
However,  The printers did show up in the list of airprint printers before the ios upgrade now nothing?
    Any ideas?

If that happened to me, here is what I would do:
Download the (free) Epson iPrint app to your iPhone.  See if that app finds the WF-3540 printer.
If it does, click on the printer and go to Advanced Settings, and go through both the firmware update and AirPrint setup options.
If the Epson iPrint app does not find your WF-3540 on your iPhone, then install it on your iPad and go through the same steps.  Probably the firmware update will make it visible to your iPhone, but you'll have an additional clue from the fact that the Epson app on your iPhone couldn't see the printer either.

  • I can't use AirPrint from my ipad 4th gen to Lexmark Pro915. Any suggestions?

My 4th gen wifi/cellular ipad doesn't see my Lexmark Pro915 printer. They both connect to my network just fine. Any suggestions for a solution?

    Hi, Gangusb.
You may find these articles helpful in troubleshooting your AirPrint issue.  As you Lexmark print is an AirPrint compatible printer, some AirPrint printers will require a firmware update out of the box to become AirPrint-enabled. See the manufacturer's documentation or website for details.
