AIX - Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 Sofware

Hi All,
We downloaded the AIX version Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 from Oracle WebSite and tried installing the same in our AIX Machine.
But we are getting an error saying that the file has been corrupted. We downloaded using download director for couple of time, everytime we are getting the same problem.
Somebody can provide a different download link/pointer that contain the proper download ? Kindly let us know.

Thanks for your reply. I did a double check on the size that you had mentioned. But while trying to extract i am getting the following error.
cpio : 0511-903 Out of Phase!
cpio attempting to continue..
cpio : 0511-904 skipping 26902 bytes to get back in phase !
one or more files lost and the previous files is possibly corrupt !
cpio : 0511-027 The file name length does not match the expected value.
What could be the problem? any suggestions? or is there any other download availabel for the same.

We are having 2 AIX Servers with AIX 5L V5.1 working through cluster HACMP V 4.5 and Oracle Application Server 9.0.2.3 ported on one of its node se,because of the bug in the AS we have disabled the clustering services on the node porting the Application Server as the AS crashes as soon as the services shift over to the node on which it is installed.
We now want to enable the cluster services so we are upgrading the AS to 10g base release.Can this be done on AIX V 5.1 with HACMP V 4.5 .The certification matrix on the metalink doesnot say anything about this.
any information regarding this would be really helpful to us

I have installed Oracle AS 10g on IBM AIX 5.3.After installation everything was working fine.After some time when i was trying to access the emd console for deploying the application it gives me following error:w/o asking for user name(ias_admin) and password.

Error starting Oracle Application server

Hi I installed Oracle application server 10g. I successfully installed it. But when i stopped the opmn and emctl process and now when i am trying to start i am able to successfully start but when i type the URL of OAS Admin console. I get following error:

Now I'm just thinking with U because error 500 can be result of different reasons. I think (I'm not sure)at this situation it has to do with java version.
AIX 5.3 has java version 1.4.2. .
Would U like to go $ORACLE_HOME\jdk\jre\bin\ then just type ./java -full version or java version.
Which result U 'll get.
also type in which java
moreover can U give me the output of the env command.
the last step before U start any as process just do the following
ps -ef | grep (owner of your as)
if U 'll find any process just kill it kill -15 process id if it does not help then hard kill with -9
try to set your environement variable well then start your opmn components again per-process to see which process is going wrong.

Hi,
we have several developers working with developer suite 10g. Our OAS runs on Linux as yours. All our developers work locally using windows-pc's. We have a samba share we use to move the developed sources to the linux box. On the linux box with have some scirpts to compile the sources and move them to the runtime-directory.
The final integration test in then done using the installed application on the oas.
This works without having any problems for more two years now.
btw: Be aware of the problems you will run into when moving an application from windows to linux:
-> All filename ar Case-sensitive
-> the writing of module-names in OPEN_FORM, NEW_FORM, CALL_FORM must match exactly the filename (in other words: call_form, open_form and new_form is also case-sensitive
-> Attached librarys are also case-sensitive, even if there are shown in uppercase in the module-navigator.

Replica of oracle Application server.

Hi All,
I want to create replica of our production server of oracle AS 10g using Tar command . Our Operating system is AIX 5.3 and Oracle Application server version *10.1.2.0.2*. Is this possible using tar command to create replica of OAS having same hostname (new one) without installation. if it is possible then what type of precautions i have to take During tar command , can i have to stop both the instances *(INFRA and BI)*.

I have one more query... We have one mount having name */oracle* and in that BI *(/oracle/App2)* and Inrfa *(/oracle/App1)* . Can we take tar -cvf for whole oracle mount point or seperate oracle home i.e */oracle/App1* and */oracle/App2* . We install application server using oracle user and group is oinstall . It means that we have both these things exist in newly create server. Any pre-requisite require for new server. And please tell me whether there is installation of AS require or not.

This could be if you miss a library or package, did you follow any note to perform the installation?
Have you read the notes in metalink about 6.1?
There is some information about oracle Aplicaitons 12, even is not the same, the packages and filesets used to be the same. try to look for them.

I'am trying to install oracle application server 10g. During the installation it appeared some messages like these ones:

I do not the reason of these error messages?
Are they related whit the fact tha I do not have de SDK 1.4.1 32BIT SR1 installed?

I am using Oracle application Server 10.1.3 R3 Version. I have installed this application server on my windows VISTA machine. On Concole, OracleAS showing GMT time. I need to set it to Indian timezone.
I have searched a lot but not getting success.

have a look at this document in metalink. might be helpful . i think you to apply a patch based ( download it from metalink according to your operating system and applicaiton server versions). in my case i have download 5632264 patch ( 10.1.2.0.2 AS & AIX OS).

I tried manually to deploy web applications, but not successful. This is my deployment step following:
AIX 5.3: BOE XI 3.1 :
Copy all <INSTALLDIR>/bobje/enterprise120/java/applications/ to Windows Websphere D:\BO_WAS
WebSphere 6.1 location & IP (windows) :
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer1\

Log in to WebSphere Applicaton Server Administrative http://192.168.69.10:9060/admin
1. Under the Applications heading of the console navigation menu, click
Enterprise Applications on the left navigational pane.
2. Click the Install button and navigate to the location of the WAR file to
deploy. If deploying from a remote file system, select the Remote File
System option.
3. Enter a context root for the WAR file (e.g. /CmcApp for CmcApp.war)
(this format (/CmcApp) for Unix OS, have different in Windows ? Could you give me fully path?)
and
press the Next button, followed by Continue.
4. In "Step 1", give a unique name for your web application and proceed to
"Step 2".
5. Highlight the server you created (or highlight server1 if you didn't create
your own) from the Clusters and Servers and enable the Select
checkbox. Proceed to "Step 3".
6. Select the virtual host you created (or default_host if you didn't create
your own) from the Virtual Host drop-down list. Proceed to "Step 4".

How to integrate Oracle Portal running on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2

I have an Oracle Portal running on a Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.
Portal is responsible ( along with OID ) for the users authentication and authorization.
There is a new JEE application that was developed recently, which the Portal users must have access to.
HOW can I put a link into a page of the Portal, that redirects the portal user to a new browser window displaying my new application?
HOW can this new application, running in a separate weblogic 11g (10.3.5) server, automatically authenticate with the same username/password previously authenticated when the user logged into the portal?
Any ideas?
I´ve already thought in a bunch of ways to do it:
- put a link into the portal with a sessionId, then when opening the new app, it automatically tries to use the same session. How can I configure this session id during the creation of the portal's page? How can I use it from the new app to use the same session?
- put a link into the portal with a userid, then when opening the new app, it automatically tries to authenticate using a different authentication provider configurated in WL, which points to Portal´s OID. In this situation, how can I ensure that the user is already logged in and the session has not timed out?
- Should I use OSSO?
- Should I use OAM?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Murilo,
A portletized version of your J2EE app would probably have been ideal for your purpose as it would handle both authentication (through SSO) and session information (through Portal framework as the framework can pass session information to the provider/producer). This would require changes to the application however.
Easiest approach would be to use mod_osso to protect your J2EE application. SSO would then handle the authentication for your Portal and your J2EE application.

Developing for a Oracle Application Server with SSO

Hello there,
I'm developing an application (Java) that will be deployed as a partner application within an Oracle Application Server 10g at my client. This Oracle instance has a SSO already configured, and my app will use this Identity Manager (consuming the cookie). The problem is that at my company we don't have a SSO system configured, not even an Oracle Application Server, just a simple Oracle XE 10g to hold data. So I'm wondering how can I do to develop my application and test it.
I was looking forward to install an OAS and configure an SSO to validate my implementation, but the download link provided by Oracle is broken (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/index.html). Another alternative that I thought of was to install an OC4J and configure a Java SSO to simulate the behavior of OSSO, and make my app the cookie set by it. But OC4J supports only til Servlet 2.4 and my app is using 2.5...
And to complete, I cannot access my client's environment. I'm supposed to write a Deploying document telling him how to deploy my app and then try to access it through Internet.
Does anyone have an idea of how can I develop and test my app in my company's environment?
