AJA QT Export Setting Not Showing Up

Hi there,
I'm in the process of delivering a feature to a distributor and they need the trailer exported as a 422 ProRes or something comparable. Knowing that in the past, in 5.0, I'd had very easy success exporting as an AJA Quicktime (I needed only download Windows Software 5.0), I tried to download the proper elements and I do not see a AJA Quicktime in the Export Settings.
One thing that seems to have changed is that the downloads are no longer a one-stop shop. I had to download the Windows Drivers from a random assortment of products and a Premiere Pro 6.0 plug-in. But after I did that, I still don't see AJA Quicktime in the export options.
Any thoughts on this dilemma, or which comparable file I may want to export as?

I would download DNxHD. It's free and is comparable to ProRes.

RAID Set not showing up - 3 severe events

Intelle Xserve running 10.6 RAID Card running firmware v E-1.3.2.0, Two it drives set up with I think RAID 5.
The main person for the system is away as well as his backup. So I'm running on very little information at the moment.
Log:
Called in due to user not able to access shared files (Also shared FileMakerpro databases and Portfolio server). Only access to server was via screen share.
Could not connect. After trying all that I could, powered down the server. Restarted, got a login startup permissions error for an item to run at startup. (I'll have to check what exactly that was). Started the Portfolia server and the FileMakerpro databases. Users able to access and use.
Next day same thing. User lost connection with the server. Restarted, start filemakerpro databases and portfoilio services. User able to access.
I suggest pulling over the files needed to work just in case it looses connection again, User starts to pull over some files which is transfering.
About 15 minutes later I get a call that the user lost connection again.
Restart the once again. This time get errors from the RAID utility:
Non-viable RAID set RS1 and all associated volumes are offline
Drive 3:500 missing - Replace immediately or acknowledge loss of RAID set RS1 and associated volumes
Drive 3:500 missing - Previous drive status was inuse
The RAID utility does not show a RAID set.
The drive appear to be OK
The drive shows up on the desktop but when I go into the drive the folders etc are showing. Access the main folder results in a loop where it bails out and just shows the desktop again.
I'm going to get some files to the user from the timemachine backup for now.
Is it possible that the data is OK and maybe the drive are marked off line for the set but still OK?

Yes the 160GB has the OS. I'm coming into this cold as the main person and the backup are currently away.
I have got the users a work around so they can do thier work. The backup person has very limited email contact and he had thought it was a RAID 5.B But I would agree this looks to be a RAID 0 or 1 since there are only two drive available for data.

Sound Blaster Li've! - Li'veDrvUni-Pack (English) SBLW-XPWEB-W4-US 28-Feb-03
Installed the speaker preset for li've!surround but the only headphone, 2 speaker, 4 speaker, and 5. speaker shows up on speaker configuration of the Surround Mixer
i've played the AC3 files on the cdrom and Dolby pro logic surround, I get sound from all fi've speakers on my Denon D-850 w/ Dolby surround pro-logic
I can't use the surround mixer to test all the speakers, only front left and right speakers work on the test, i have to open to wav files directly to test the center speaker, the rear speaker test doesn't work from the wav file
My Denon system only has analog stereo inputs, so this is my only option for letting Sound Blaster know I have 5 speakers.
I've uninstalled all SB Li've software and drivers from the unipack, and reinstalled the orignal drivers and apps from the CD-ROM SBP5-CDSD-W-US MID : 32680 5-Sep-2000 and the Li've!Surround speaker setting reappears in the Surround Mixer.
Is the Li've!Surround setting no longer available in the new Surround Mixer in Li'veDrvUni-Pack (English) SBLW-XPWEB-W4-US 28-Feb-03 ?

it seems Li've Surround is no longer supported in the new drivers
....so what would be the best setting to play ac3 files or DVD's through my receiver with only 2 analog inputs (left and right) available w/ Dolby surround prologic. Should I set it to 2 speaker or 4 speaker setting in the Surround Mixer in order to send the best signal to the prologic decoder on my receiver with 5 speakers (2 front, center, 2 rear)

Export screen not showing up

Hi guys. Trying to export a photo and the screen with options on where to export to does not show but it IS there. I know this because everything on the screen is unclickable, kinda like being froze but it's not. If I hit enter it attempts to "burn to disc" which makes me believe that is just somehow inivisible? I thought I may have a virus when it tried exporting an image to Outlook but after other program tests and running virus protection software without hits i'm thinkin this must be a LR issue, I am currently using 4.1 64bit version.
My process - tried waiting it out with no results as well.
Right click image > Export... > No screen, clicking anything is disabled. > Hit enter and burns to disc

Do you ever use a second monitor? I'd bet it's trying to show it on a disconnected monitor. If so, either plug in the other monitor, or trash the LR preferences file.

Help! Exported Files Not Showing Up!

For some reason when I export a file through CS4 it will not show up in the folder I exported it to. There are no errors in the process and no matter what style of video I just can't find anywhere. Any ideas?

Verify the location and file name of your export in the Adobe Media Encoder before starting the queue.

FLV export option not showing in FCP

i recently purchased CS5 Master Collection Student & Teacher Edition. i am told that with the installation of CS5, an flv export option should appear in FCP when using "Export QT Movie".
Unfortunately this is not the case, neither does it appear in the FCP export menu, nor does FLV show up in Compressor, when choosing "Quicktime Export Components" from the "add" button.
Can anyone help?

In this scenario, you don't want, Export > QT movie. You instead want, Export > Using QT Conversion. Then one of your "OPTIONS" should be "flv."

In Compressor, same sort of deal: you need to set up a file with "Quicktime Export Components" selected. Not QuickTime Movie. Then set the encoder type to FLV.

Export for not showing xhtml option

my CS5.5 Indesign does not bring up file> export for> Dreamweaver or any other option other than buzzword. I have CS5.5 Master Collection. How do I turn this feature on?

I'd be one of the last people to suggest that it's a good idea to use InDesign for Web design, but if that is where you're starting from, with CS5.5 it isn't entirely hopeless. You can use the Edit All Export Tags command on the paragraph styles fly-out menu to map styles to sensible HTML tags (headings to h1, sub-headings to h2, ...) and add classes where appropriate to hang some styling on. Provided that your documents use a consistent set of styles, you'd then just have to create a single CSS stylesheet that you could use for every HTML document you exported. You could import the mappings into all the documents so you'd only have to do it once.
I didn't see changes to cs5.5 from cs5 listing the feature of dropping "export for" to dreamweaver on the list of benefiots of purchasing CS5.5 upgrade....

Installed LR 3.2, and export does not show any options for exporting to Smugmug, Facebook etc

I fresh installed LR 3.2 on a Windows 7 computer to try out tethering (which worked fine), but then tried to export the photos, but I don't have any options for exporting to non-harddrive based locations. The "export to" drop down at the top of the export page only has "hard drive" in it. The plugin manager says that plugins for SmugMug, Facebook, etc are all enabled.
Anyone have any ideas?

I found too that the publishing services work differently than the plug-ins. Not as intuitive, but work well just the same, For me I had to do the "set-up" for the Facebook publishing service a couple of times. I think this may have more to do with the Facebook security settings than with LR.

Personal export settings not showing in Prelude

I have two computers where the export settings I make in AME doesn't show up in Prelude, the prores presets I have downloaded from Adobe doesn’t show up either. I have tried to uninstall Prelude but it didn’t help.
I found this thread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1410827 but it didn’t help me.
The machines are two Mac Pro (Early 2008), 2 x 2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM
These are the only machine I have this problem with.

There are two ways to fix this: the quick fix and the complete fix. When you installed AME 8.0.1, it should have automatically executed the process described in the complete fix. But, in some cases, the process is not working. We’ve been working to fix this on the next patch release. Till then, please use the following manual fix.
Easy and quick fix: (You need to manually copy each AME presets you created in order for Prelude to see)
Please copy the ProRes presets (or any presets you want Prelude to see) into the following location.
Win: <OS dirve>:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\8.0\Presets
Mac: /Users/<current user>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Common/AME/8.0/Presets
Complete fix: (Once you create a new preset in AME, it should automatically shows up in Prelude. No manual copy is needed.)
Win:
1. Quit all apps.
2. Access to %APPDATA%\Adobe\Common\AME\8.0\
If you see a "Presets" folder, please delete this.
3. Under C:\Windows\System32, right click "Cmd.exe" > select "Run as administrator".
4. Execute the following command.
mklink /D %APPDATA%\Adobe\Common\AME\8.0\Presets "%HOMEPATH%\documents\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\8.0\Presets"
Mac:
1. Quit all apps.
2. Access to ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Common/AME/8.0/
Delete "Presets" folder from this location if there is.

Tab Set not showing for Parent Tab - Bug?

(I figured someone else has experienced this issue, but after searching with multiple words I haven't found a thread.)
Using Application Express 4.0.2.00.07. The application in question is using Theme 7 - Modern Blue
My APEX application has over 20 pages and a lot of tabs, so I decided to create 2 new parent tabs (for a total of 3 parent tabs) and then assign the tabs to different tab sets so that I won't run out of horizontal space for all the tabs.
As best that I can tell everything with the parent tabs is set up correctly. I even had another developer look over everything I set up. The two newly created 2 parent tabs don't show their tab set of tabs when I click them. The parent tab that was first created still works, but not the 2 new ones. When we maintain everything via the tab interface everything looks OK, but when we look at the pages they are still assigned to the original tab and I don't see a way to change the tab set on the page level. We copied and deleted a page and when we did the page and its tab displays with the correct parent tab.
Is this a bug? It seems to be. It seems that creating the parent tab does not cascade down to the page level.
Also, regardless if it is a bug, is there a way to change the tab set at the page level? I hate to copy a lot of pages and delete the orignal pages, but maybe that's the only work around.
Also, maybe this is a theme issue? I know that some themes don't handle certain aspects correctly.

I think I figured it out. There is a section on the page where you can change the Tab Set. It is under Display Attributes.

System preferences default icons set not showing when modifying user account icon

Hi!
I was willing to change my account icon and went into system preferences, accounts and groups, open my account and clicked on the icon in order to change it.
To my surprise there was no default icons showing.
All the icons are in their place in System/Lybrary/User Pictures/ but it seems there is not any info connecting them to the default icon set when modifying the accounts icon. The problem is on all the accounts.
I updated the system to 10.8.2 and the problem is still there.
I already did the permission verification and the only one which is alwasy appearing (even after repair) is someone related to "ruby".
I can give more details if needed.

i am actually using jinitiator 1.3.1.28 with Oracle HTTP Server of OAS 10gR2) calling Forms Server 6i (f60cgi). After setting up according to Bernard's recommended setup steps, the java console showed that it loaded the icon jar file when it could not read the form, but it skipped the loading of the icon jar file once it read and started the form. How do we specify in the form to pick up the icon from the jar file instead from a directory ? Or do we need to specify ? Any ideas ?

Exported movie not showing correctly in MS Explorer

I posted a .MOV file on my web site. It shows fine in a Mozilla browser but in a MS Explorer window it just shows a small piece of the video. The sound works fine.
Any suggestions?

What format did you export the video? Are you trying to view it from Windows in IE, or from the Mac version of IE?
If you exported the file in H.264 and are attempting to view it from Windows, you must make sure that you have the latest and greatest QuickTime installed.
On the Macintosh, you will want to make sure you have the latest (last!) version of IE, and also update your QuickTime to the latest version.

XDcam setting not showing in import

I have downloaded the XDCAM pluggin for Log and Transfer and it seems to be OK, but I can't get it to show in my import settings. I am using FCP 7.
Can someone tell me what I've missed?

You may need to re-state your first question, it's not clear to me.
You use the Log & Transfer interface to import your XDCam files into FCP. Once these file are in FCP you can (and typically should) edit them into a Apple Pro Res sequence.

EASY fix for import/export drives not showing up!

I had that problem that I've heard about around here, where when you go to import or export, you can't select any of your drives, etc. you only get 'Desktop' and your user folder.
I went through EVERYTHING from my registry to, well, everything.
I read a post here that talked about moving your desktop directory; that is a pain and is dangerous for people who don't know what they're doing. Here's a much easier way!
First you need to find your preferences file. I'm running Windows7 32-bit, and mine was here:
C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences
Paths for other versions of windows can be found here:

Once you get there, make sure to close lightroom first. Then you want to open "Lightroom 2 Preferences.agprefs"
Find a section that says something like this:
    AgMRUPopupList_AgExport_destinationFolderPathPrefix = "s = {\
    \"C:\\\\Users\\\\Dave\\\\Pictures\",\
this is a list of where Lightroom will try to export pictures. For some reason having only that one line messes it up. so we add another like so:
    AgMRUPopupList_AgExport_destinationFolderPathPrefix = "s = {\
    \"C:\\\\Users\\\\Dave\\\\Pictures\",\
    \"F:\\\\part 1\",\
Note that the new directory has to be a real one or this won't work. It doesn't matter what it is though. Also note all the slashes, I don't know why they have to be there but they do.
Now when you go into lightroom, and you're at the export dialog, when it says where to export to, click the little arrow to drop a list down. choose your new directory, then you can use the choose correctly, all your drives will be there and everything, and it is almost fixed permanently (see below)!
The same thing goes for the import dialog issue,

Add a line so its like this:

Save it. Now go to import, copy to a directory, then use that drop-down to select f:\part 1 (or whatever you used), and the choose folder is almost permanently fixed!
It turns out this issue arises when, say, all of the previous paths Lightroom imported from/exported to no longer exist. This actually happened to me for stupid reasons (!), but it might just be you left a USB drive off or whatever...So it clears the list and effs it up. It's a bug in lightroom and I hope they fix it, but this fixes it for now (unless you cause it again...)
Yay! I spent about 3 hours on this. Thanks to the other posters who helped pieces of the puzzle!

I'm guessing the ext. drive may have been damaged during the forced shutdown, and a repair is needed. You could also try mounting it in Disk Utility. A PRAM reset may also help.
But you also should try to resolve the Kernel Panic.
Here's the most used site for Resolving Kernel Panics. Please do all the steps in order, even if you don't think you need to do a certain step.

Factory Reset Setting not showing...

I have a fault with my PC and before I send it back to Toshiba for epairs I neeed to fctory reset my computer.
I have already created the recovery disks
I tried to get into recovey mode I foind some problems...
At first I tried to get to recovery from witin windows 8.1 using the 'advanced start up' option...that didnt work...I just got a black screen when the computer restarted...
Then I tried holding F8 and Control at start up and nothing happend
then I tried holding the '0' button at start up and that bought up a question about wether i wanted to go into rcovey option.... i selected YES but then it goes into a 'windows style' menu screen and the only option that looked relevant to my desire was TOSHIBA MAINTENECE PROGRAM but whe i use this it onl give me the option to ERASE and NOT FACTORY RESET...
I know the partition in intact and I has not been deleted
Anybody got any ideas how I get the computer to show the factory reset option

before I send it back to Toshiba for epairs I neeed to fctory reset my computer.

If it's a US computer, call Toshiba tech support at 800-457-7777 for help.
