AJAB(Asset is incomplete and has to be completed)

Hi All,
While closing AJAB with test mode we are getting error'Asset is incomplete and has to be completed.'
below is reason for above issue:
We have run depreciation for co.code xxxx for the month of March period with final mode 2 days back.
Today we have transferred some values for the 2 Assets(poting back date 31.03.2011) which have been alreday run depreciation for the month of March.
When we ran depreciation with repeat mdoe for 2 Assets, depereciation was run sucessfully and alos depreciation posted sucessfully in the Assets also.
What can we do for this siuation?

Hi Ajay,
While checking the Asset explorer for the 2 Assets 'depreciation was posted sucessfully for the month of march, when we ran AFBP in the repeat mode.
However while checking 'AFBP'(Depreciation log) it showing error log, when we click error message, we are getting below.
Restart not required in the specified period 012.(message no AA713).
Processing terinmaned beacuse a restart was requested for the period specified but is not required
System response:
The restrat function is not required in this period, therefor processing is not continued.
Processdure:
Correct the period, if a restart is required:
My query:
When we see depreciation log(AFBP) 2 Assets are showing red mark.
When we run 'AJAB' there is no error shows.

I opened the transaction code AUVA
I got incomplete assets list with depreciation start date for 15 depreciation area.Please find the below asset details which i got from AUVA transaction code.

Could you please any one tell me how can I change the asset depreciation start date in display mode or complete the asset from incomplete asset status
Now my year end activites are pending due to this incomplete asset statues.
I can not nopt delete the asset as already capitalaized the same.

AS23 group asset already maintained depreciation area.
depreciation start date is not maintained for main asset 15 depreciation area not for group asset
for main asset we are maintaining 01 and 15 depreciation areas.for 01 depreciation start date has been given for 15 area deprecition start date has been given

Asset value date and posting date are not in same fiscal year

Our business user has created an asset under an incorrect asset class, which he is trying to transfer to a new asset whcih was created under correct asset class. However system is restricting user with the error message "Asset value date and posting date are not in same fiscal year". Can you please advise me how we can proceed further with this error.

Hi,
To transfer one asset to another asset within a company code can be done through ABUMN only.
While doing this transfer you have enter the document date, posting date, and value date for the transaction, but all these dates should be in same fiscal year only.
In your case you must have been entered the dates for asset value date and posting date , and these two dates are in diff financial years.
Please make sure that both the dates are in same FY.

Differing asset tax book and accounting book when the currency is foreign

Hi Asset Gurus,
My company has this requirement that when the asset is acquired in foreign currency there will be acquisition posting on Accounting Book (area 01) but zero on the Tax Book (area 15). They said this is in conformance with the reporting standard. Can anyone give me an idea how can this be done in the asset accounting? Do I need to setup new depreciation area just for this requirement?

Thanks AP for your reply. Please bear with me a little bit as I still don't see the complete picture. Currently this is what's happening:
When the acquisition is made in foreign currency, both depreciation area 01 (accounting book) and area 15 (tax book) gets updated with local currency value (APC). Now the requirement is to make tax book area not posted to everytime this situation happens. We don't really need to have the foreign currency amount reflected in the asset.
Given the requirement description above, do you still think parallel currency in FI and additional depreciation area would be the solution? If yes, could you kindly expound further on that solutions please?

Tracking Fixed Assets between receipt and invoice processing

We have encountered an issue while using Oracle Fixed Assets that we are trying to solve. The issue involves asset tracking from the time of receipt until the invoice is processed and the asset record created and posted.
As you're probably aware, assets don't appear in FA until the invoice has been accounted and transferred to GL. We can have assets that are received and deployed before we even get the invoice for processing.
We need the ability to record and track where the asset has been deployed(Employee Name and asset Location) and to later update the appropriate asset records after they are created and posted in Oracle.
Right now we are doing this manually which means someone is entering data twice for the same thing. Has anyone come up with a workaround to cover this gap between asset receipt and asset creation?

Than, posing by F-90, SAP gives me the worning message no. AAPO168:
"Enter quantity in KAR asset S001 1000049-0 has quantity update"
I think I should fill in the quantity posting by F-90.
I can't find where I must do it in F-90. Could anyone help me?

Had the same problem this morning after updating to 10.8.2. Mail was finding my dot-mac account as always, but System Preferences popped up and said my iCloud password was incorrect. Did the "forgot password" reset, but still had the same problem. Then I went to icloud.com in Safari, logged in with the new password, it worked no problem. So I went back to the icloud preference pane, signed out of icloud, answered yes to all the warnings about data being deleted from my mac, blah blah blah, then re-signed in to icloud. Everything worked. I did have to set up my icloud account in Mail again, which now lists the account mailbox as "iCloud", and not "mac.com" as it did before. But so far, everything is working (fingers crossed.)

Tecra S1 boots correctly but does not work properly and has BIOS error beeps

Toshiba S1 has started to crash regularly after a certain period of use.
Sometimes: BIOS error beeps: Short-short-long.
Sometimes: Bluescreen of reduced screen size/reduced resolution.
Sometimes: Just crashes (frozen) and has to be shut off manually.
As Toshiba uses its own BIOS, does anyone know what these beep sounds mean or can provide support?

did you tried to make a memory test? If not, I would suggest you to make it. For such tests I would prefer using "memtest86" (www.memtest86.com)
Otherwise I would assume that your mainboard is malfunctioning and you will have to bring your machine to an local ASP.

My Apple TV does not work and has never worked. I replaced it twice and replaced my router and DSL modem but no luck. I spent hours on tech support with both apple and my ISPs with no luck. Any ideas? Is the Apple TV a donation to apple? I have had the device for 8 months but it will not work for longer than 15 minutes before it drops with network errors. All of my other devices work perfectly on the network including 2 iPads, laptops and an old wii. I love apple products and this is the first real disappointment I have had. The Apple TV seems like a major dud of a product.

Seems unlikely you have had two faulty replacements, and more likely that there may be some network compatibility issue or problem with reception in the location the AppleTV lies - anything close to it that might be interfering?
I am assuming you are connected via wifi - if you can try an ethernet connection to rule wifi issues out.
Could you try it at somone else's house maybe? If it worked there it would point to something specific at your location.
You could try replacing it again I guess or seeing if they can offer you credit or a refund.
