Ajax Dynamic Conntent -- pull report from different page

Hi All,
I am reposting my question, the previous thread was hacked by Fifi :-) . I am trying to implement Denes's solution in this Pulling Dynamic Conntent . Somehow I am getting java script error "unknown runtime error". on page load itself. It is giving error at the code html_GetElement('ReportDrop').innerHTML = gReturn;
I believe I am missing some of the referenced java script files.
Any help please ?
I have kept my application on Apex.oracle.come
workspace : edw_apex

Thanks
Manish

Finally I figured out the page template was missing, which was causing the issue. Just overwrote the body and footer of the template from this Make a copy of exiting page template and replace the body part with the code below:
<htmldb:SUCCESS_MESSAGE><div id="SUCCESS_MESSAGE">#SUCCESS_MESSAGE#</div></htmldb:SUCCESS_MESSAGE>
<htmldb:NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE><div id="NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE">#NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE#</div></htmldb:NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE>

  • How to create a report with different page sizes

    Hi,
    I would like to create a report with different page sizes, it's possible to do it with diadem?
    When I change the layout parameters, changes afect to all sheets...
    Is there a way to change page size individually for each sheet?
    Thanks in advance.
    Marc

    Hi Marc,
    You can use the DocStart and DocEnd commands along with the PicPrint command to spool multiple print commands to the same output PDF file using the direct printer approach.  This should enable you to programmatically specify the page size differently for each sheet that you add to the print job.
    ' Print PDF Page by Page.VBS
    OPTION EXPLICIT
    Dim i, Path, OldPrintName
    Path = AutoActPath & "2D Stacked"
    Call DataDelAll
    Call DataFileLoad(Path & ".TDM")
    PDFFileName = Path & " Page by Page.pdf"
    IF FileExist(PDFFileName) THEN Call FileDelete(PDFFileName)
    OldPrintName = PrintName
    PrintName = "winspool,DIAdem PDF Export,LPT1:" ' Set to PDF printer
    PDFResolution = "72 DPI" ' "2400 DPI" , "default"
    PDFOptimization = TRUE
    PDFFontsEmbedded = FALSE
    PDFJPGCompressed = "high"
    PrintOrient = "landscape" ' orient paper
    Call PrintMaxScale("GRAPH") ' auto-max, see alternative margin setting variables below
    PrintLeftMarg = 0.181
    PrintTopMarg = 0.181
    PrintWidth = 10.67
    'PrintHeigth = 7 (read-only)
    Call WndShow("REPORT")
    Call DocStart ' Begin multi-page document/print job
    FOR i = 1 TO 4
    Call PicLoad(Path & ".TDR")
    Call GraphSheetNGet(1)
    Call GraphSheetRename(GraphSheetName, "Page " & i)
    Call PicUpdate
    Call PicPrint("WinPrint") ' Add a page to be printed
    NEXT ' i
    Call DocEnd ' End multi-page document/print job
    PrintName = OldPrintName
    Call ExtProgram(PDFFileName)

  • How to call RDF report from JSP page

    Dear all,
    I want to call a RDF report from JSP page. I am creating the JSP page using j developer 10G.
    Can anyone help me out in this case. Is there any tag or procedure or any other way by of that i can perform this work.
    please help and send the reply on [email protected],[email protected]
    thanks
    Ashok

    Hi Ashok,
    You can use rwservlet - nothing really to do with JDeveloper. Once you have report server up and running (hint: read http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/bi.1012/b14048/toc.htm), you can call a report like this:
    http://server:port/rwservlet?report=my_report.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&p_my_parameter=xxx etcHope this helps,
    John

  • How to print report from JSP Page

    Hi Everybody,
    I am developing a simple project in JSP with MS Access. I hav some tables and reports for them. I hav a JSP page which gets inputs from user and save it in the table. Its working fine. But my problems are,
    1) I hav a button called "SAVE & PRINT" in that bottom of the page, if i click that button, the currently entered data has to save in the table and the same data has to print from the MS Access report. I dont know how to print this report from JSP page.
    2) Another button called "REPRINT". If i click that button, it has to ask a number to print the report page, that number is nothing but a field in that report.
    Could anyone help me to solve this problem.

    Hi Sreekanth;
    Change your output type from PDF to HTML. Then it will give you clear error message in HTML page after fixing it if you able to see/run report fine in HTML then change your output type back to PDF.

  • My ipad is jumping from different pages and it looks like someone is typing on the page.

    Hi my ipad has started jumping from different pages and then the keyboard comes up and it looks like someone else is typing on the screen, can anyone help?

    You can try these things first and see if they help at all.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    Quit all apps and restart the iPad.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • AJAX calling report from one page to another not Reseting Pagination

    I have links on one page that when clicked are calling a report on another page and loading it in a DIV with AJAX. The problem I am having is that the reports on the 2nd page are built dynamicly depending on the link you click. If you are viewing lines 16-30 and go to a report that only has like 5 lines, you get the Need to Reset Pagination error.
    Invalid set of rows requested, the source data of the report has been modified.Reset Pagination>
    In the htmldb_Get line, I thought you could set it to reset pagination when it fires. The AJAX is below. Does the RP need to be somewere else? or am I just missing something...
    function doReport(pC,pM) {
    document.getElementById('report_drop').innerHTML = 'Loading Page...';
    var tableRow = document.getElementById('reports');
    tableRow.style.display = 'block';
         var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'RP',2);
            get.add('P2_CODE',pC)
            get.add('P2_MPC',pM);
         gReturn = get.get(null,'<clip>','</clip>');
         get = null;
         $x('report_drop').innerHTML = gReturn;
       init_htmlPPRReport($x('report_drop').getElementsByTagName('DIV')[0].id.replace('report',''));
         return;
    }So from what I understand the line below should be resetting this
         var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'RP',2);   Edited by: Matt.Smith on Jul 18, 2011 12:08 PM

  • Remotely add and remove Instances from different pages

    Similar to my other post, I have a form that has multiple pages, one being a calculator (OA_CALC) that shows every variable for calculation; the second (OA_PG1), customer facing showing only pertinent information. So both tables should add/remove and show the data being contolled from OA_CALC. I am able to addInstance and source the date to both pages, but for some reason removeInstance only works on the page where the button exists. So rows on OA_PG1 never delete, please advise.
    On OA_CALC i have an ADD ROW button with the following code:
    form1.OA_CALC.Table1.HeaderRow.#subform[0].AddRow::click - (JavaScript, client)
    OA_CALC.Table1.RowItems.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
    OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1.RowItems.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
    and a DELETE ROW with the following code:
    form1.OA_CALC.Table1.RowItems.#subform[0].DelRow::click - (JavaScript, client)
    var vIndex = this.parent.parent.index;
    OA_CALC.Table1.RowItems.instanceManager.removeInstance(vIndex);
    OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1.RowItems.instanceManager.removeInstance(vIndex);
    One thing that I tried was creating buttons on OA_PG1 with the code specific to that table, that seemed to work. So I know the syntax works, but cannot figure out how to control it from a different page. Please help.
    Thanks

    urgh, apparently I am still very close. I have used your sample, but it seems that the execEvent("click") is not working correctly or my syntax is wrong somewhere. Where am I going wrong?
    Button Code on first table:
    form1.OA_CALC.Table1.RowItems.deleteBtn::click - (JavaScript, client)
    var vCurrentRow = this.parent.index;
    OA_CALC.Table1._RowItems.removeInstance(vCurrentRow);
    xfa.resolveNode("OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1.RowItems[" + vCurrentRow + "]").deleteBtn.execEvent("click");
    Invisible Button Code on second table:
    form1.OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1.RowItems.deleteBtn::click - (JavaScript, client)
    OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1._RowItems.removeInstance(this.parent.index);
    Edit: Here is the Console report from the Acrobat JavaScript Debugger:
    xfa.resolveNode("OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1.RowItems[" + vCurrentRow + "]") is null
    7:XFA:form1[0]:OA_CALC[0]:Table1[0]:RowItems[1]:deleteBtn[0]:clickException in line 7 of function top_level, script XFA:form1[0]:OA_CALC[0]:Table1[0]:RowItems[1]:deleteBtn[0]:click
    TypeError: xfa.resolveNode("OA_PG1.ProjectSavingsGROUP.Table1.RowItems[" + vCurrentRow + "]") is null

  • Question - Resetting Interactive Reports on Different Pages

    Hi,
    I currently have 5 pages, each with an Interactive Report. Page 1 contains column links with filters to the other 4 pages.
    Once a user has clicked a column link with the relevant column filtered on the Interactive Report on the other page, the only way I can see for the user to reset each Interactive Report is to manually reset the report on each page.
    Is there any way to perform the "RIR" or "CIR" clear cache setting on all the Interactive reports for a delimited list of pages via one button click?
    Thanks in advance,
    - Stuart

    Hi Simon,
    The scenario could be that the user clicks on 3 different column links on page 1 and the Interactive Reports on those linked pages are filtered. The user is happy with the information and decides that he/she wants to look for completely different data within the Interactive Report on page 2 (3 or4).
    When they go to that page, it is still filtered based on the column link. To reset the report, they need to manually select Reset from IR menu. This would need to be done for each of the other pages with previously filtered reports.
    The Reset I am looking to perform is almost like when each page is visited. It would be similar to performing a clear page cache on multiple pages and you pass the page number as a parameter from one button click using a PL/SQL block. i.e.
    BEGIN
    APEX_UTIL.CLEAR_PAGE_CACHE('1');
    APEX_UTIL.CLEAR_PAGE_CACHE('2');
    APEX_UTIL.CLEAR_PAGE_CACHE('3');
    END
    Ideally, if there was some way to do something similar for all or specific Interactive reports then it would reduce the number of clicks made by the user.
    The application is to be aimed at users, who need to get information with as few clicks as possible.

  • Launching a Discoverer report from jsp page

    Hi
    I have a discoverer workbook created using BI Discoverer (for relational). I want to accept some parameters for this workbook from a jsp page, which will also have a "View report" button. This button when pressed should open up the Discoverer workbook and all the parameters from the jsp should be passed to the workbook.
    Is it possible? If yes, any details on it?
    We do the same thing successfully to launch Oracle Reports from jsps, we simply build the url in the jsp, and from jsp we submit it to a new window, and it opens up the report. Similar functionality we are looking to launch Discoverer reports.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Shalu

    You can open the workbook with URL parameters with Discoverer Viewer much like you would Oracle Reports. Setting anything form the username, password, workbook name, worksheet, and parameters. All the information can be found in the following document:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_11/bi.1012/b13918/urlstart.htm
    The specific question your asking is addressed under 13.5.2 Example 2. Let me know if you have any issues

  • OAF: passing parameters to report from OAF page and running concurrent prog

    Hi Everyone,
    i have an OAF page with 10 fields after filling those fields i need to press "Submit" button.
    On pressing Submit button 5 parameters i have to pass to the xml publisher report to run the concurrent program and display the output in pdf format.(Out of 10 fields on the page the first 5 fields will be passed as parameters)
    How can i pass parameters from OAF page to the report(concurrent program)?
    and how can i call concurrent program?
    and how can display the output of the report in pdf format after calling the concurrent program?
    Any answers will be really useful...
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks.

    Hi kumar ,
    XML report will generate output in PDF format , first you need to try generating report separately , manually submit
    the concurrent program and make sure every thing goes well .
    Once the above step is done you can try to submit the concurrent from controller class . The submitRequest method
    will return the request ID of the concurrent program .
    Now with the help of this request ID you can redirect the page to Oracle standards Request Page( you can monitor
    the status of concurrent program and view output ) this can be done with the following piece of code
    String url = "OA.jsp";
    parameters.put("akRegionApplicationId", "0");
    parameters.put("akRegionCode","FNDCPREQUESTVIEWPAGE");
    String id = "" + return_reqId + "";
    parameters.put("requestMode","DEFERRED");
    parameters.put("requestId", id);
    pageContext.setForwardURL(url,null,OAWebBeanConstants.KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT,null,parameters,true,OAWebBeanConstants.ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_NO ,OAWebBeanConstants.IGNORE_MESSAGES);

  • Creating an XML Report from OAF page

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to create a PDF report from an OAF page. From the below code , I was able to print the XML with the values.
    I know i should map this XML to RTF by creating the Data defiition through XML publisher responsibility.
    My understanding :
    1. Generate the XML from Conttroller
    2. Load the XML to RTF and map the fields
    3. Register as Data Definition and RTF
    4. Output seen
    MY QUESTION IS : If i load the values from the below XML to the RTF and register in the data definition , i will get the same values every time it is right . From my understanding, if the data has to change in the report, ,there should be a way which will directly send the generated xml from the controller to the RTF (Without step2)
    I DEFINITELY BELIEVE, THAT I AM MISSING SOME THING HERE . PLEASE HELP ME
    public void processRequest(OAPageContext pageContext,
    OAWebBean webBean) {
    super.processRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    OAApplicationModule am =
    (OAApplicationModule)pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    OAViewObject vo = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("colorVO1");
    ByteArrayOutputStream outputStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    //(XMLNode)vo.writeXML(4,"")
    try {
    ((XMLNode)vo.writeXML(4, XMLInterface.XML_OPT_ALL_ROWS)).print(outputStream);
    } catch (IOException e) {
    // TODO
    throw new OAException("The value of VO is " + vo,
    OAException.CONFIRMATION);
    System.out.println(outputStream.toString());
    Generated XML :
    <colorVOEx3Row>
    <UserName>abc</UserName>
    <UserId>33102</UserId>
    <CreatedBy>27241</CreatedBy>
    <Clr1>0</Clr1>
    </colorVOEx3Row>
    <colorVOEx3Row>
    <UserName>deg</UserName>
    <UserId>33604</UserId>
    <CreatedBy>1135</CreatedBy>

    <UserId>33643</UserId>
    <CreatedBy>24587</CreatedBy>
    <Clr1>2</Clr1>
    </colorVOEx3Row>
    </colorVOEx3
    Please let me know what should me my next steps to generate the report. if i load the XML above to the RTF , irresepscive of my data from teh page, i will always get the 3 rows.i..e..(abc,def,*** mno).
    Hope i am clear.

    Hi Anand,
    Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the link you provided . It gave me excellent information. But just one clarification , when we create the data definition, dont we have to add any of the files like 'XML Schema','Data Template','Preview Data','Bursting Control File'.
    The reason, i am asking this question is, when i proviously worked with XML reports in 11.10.2, we used to attach a .xml file to the Data Template of the data definition ,which would populate the RTF.
    Now here, if i dont attach that file in the data definition, will the XML data direclty mapped from contrlloer ?. I assume ,The only thing i need to do is to MAP the XML tags to RTF before registering ..
    Please let me know if i am missing some thing
    Thanks
    Sunny
