AJAX Features Removed From CF9?

Hi again all. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this
but all of the cfajax tags (except CFGRID) seem to be missing from
Dreamweaver CS4's code completion logic -could this be a sign of
things to come? Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't believe they updated the dictionary used for the code
completion as the likes of cfimage etc wasnt there either so looks
like they are still using the dictionaries for CF7. Just install
the ColdFusion extension for Dreamweaver and you will be good to
go.

I've been mostly focussed on the UI, but have also noticed many posts pointing out that useful features have been removed.
On this thread, I'd like to see if we can crowdsource a definitive list of features which were in 6.xx, but have been removed from 7.0.
If you're missing a feature, could you post it below (it would be nice if you could check for duplicates first), possibly with your use case if it's not blindingly obvious.

A bug, or a feature removed from iTunes 11? Every playlist folder shows entire library

Hi folks - wondering if anyone else has come across this issue (have searched, can't find references...) In older versions of iTunes, if you selected a folder containing playlists, the main window would show all tracks contained in those playlists - for example, if I have a Jazz folder containing 10 different playlists, each with 10 tracks, I could click on the folder and see (and play) just those 100 tracks.
I just got a new Mac Mini and haved moved all my stuff to the new machine, all working fine with iTunes 11 except now when I click on any of my playlist folders, it shows me every sinlge track in my entire library. If I click on any of the playlists inside the folder, they're fine, just as they should be.
So, does anyone know - is this a bug, did something get messed up with my transfer from the old machine, or did Apple just remove a handy feature?

Well wouldn't ya know it - a few hours later I check again and it's acting like it always used to, now showing the correct number of tracks. I didn't quit iTunes or reboot, relaunch, sleep, or anything - so I guess it was just taking its sweet time (like, 4 hours) to sort itself out after the move!

I have upgraded my Mac to 10.10 and of course that meant upgrading Pages as well. I have a document which has been a work in progress over the past year. It is
a large formate document with illustrations, a double sided pages requiring the Facing Pages feature. I've also need to re-arrange whole groups of pages as the project evolves. The removal of Facing Pages and the ability to re-organize my documents by dragging the thumbnails is a HUGE disaster. WHY would Apple remove such functionalities. WHY? This was a STUPID STUPID STUPID idea.

Pages '08 (updated to v3.0.3) still works on Yosemite. But there may be a way to resuscitate Pages '09.
In the Finder, make a new folder in your login directory. Just call it Pages9. Copy /Applications/iWork '09/Pages.app into this Pages9 folder. Do not remove Pages '09 from that iWork '09 folder.
Now, download and install the iWork 9.3 updater. This will give you the latest Pages '09 v4.3, which is recommended for Yosemite. If this version of Pages now works, then drag/drop it to your Dock for single-click access. Try opening your critical document in this new version of Pages.
If you get a message that states that it cannot find the index.xml file, then it has been already converted into a Pages v5 document — and not be the same document as you worked so long on. See if you have a backup in Time Machine, or elsewhere.
Export any documents that you have saved in Pages v5.5.2 as Pages '09 documents. Then, make another folder in your login directory. Call it Pages5. Move /Applications/Pages.app into this Pages5 folder. Right-click on this Pages5 folder and compress it. In concert with this effort, also click on System Preferences > App Store and check only the following:
You can now double-click to open your Pages '09 documents as v5 is no longer available.

Was the network sharing feature removed from the latest version of iphoto?

After upgrading to the latest version of iphoto (9.5.1) it seems I can no longer share my photo library to other computers on my home network. Does anyone know if this feature was removed? And if it was, is there a work around? This feature is very useful to me.

Features that are not supported by Excel in the browser and interactive reports will be removed from the saved copy

I Created a power view in Excel 2013 and uploaded to my Power BI for o365 site.
But when i click on my excel file it opens in browser,After that i click on File tab its showing me two option
1. Save a Copy
2.Download a copy
When i click on save a copy its showing me an warning below
Features that are not supported by Excel in the browser and interactive reports will be removed from the saved copy.
Continue with Save?
If i continue saving it only saves an excel files with data only not the power view which i want to save with applied filters.
Please help me for this

Just to clarify, when you hit the option of Save As Copy, the whole experience goes into a "read-write" mode in Excel services, which currently doesn't support authoring, just consumption of PowerView sheets.
Two mitigations that come to mind:
1. Download the copy (as Brad suggests), rename the file and upload.
2. Use the send to option of SharePoint online, give the file the right target document library (can be the same as source) and rename the file:

Features Recently Removed From iMovie '11? (Resolved!)

Ok so I remember, prior to updating to Lion (don't know if this has anything to do with my problem) within' iMovie '11 there was a feature that, when you drag one clip on top of another clip, you'd get a pop-up menu that would give you some options of what to do with said clip, such as green screen, picture in picture, overlay ect. Now, however, I get much fewer options. I now only get Insert or Replace, which doesn't give me the effect I want (PIP).
Has this feature been removed from iMovie '11 recently?
Here's a pic of what I mean. That list previously had MANY more options.

Oh my, thanks! That worked... I don't know why it was disabled by default. When I installed iMovie '11 when it was first released it was already enabled, then I did a clean install of Lion and had to re-install iLife '11, not sure why it wasn't enabled this time.

Feature Request - Do not unlock automatically when removing from Holster

Currently, when the device placed into a BlackBerry OEM holster and then removed, it will automatically unlock the screen unless you have a password set, in which case you'll be prompted for the password instead.
I would like to see an option added to disable automatic unlocking upon removal from the holster, regardless of whether a password is set or not (so that when you remove the phone from the holster, you must still manually unlock it using the power/lock button, swipe up from the bottom of the display, or using the U+Enter keyboard shortcut).

Workflow 2013 is not removed from library after retract

Hello.
I created a test workflow 2013 in VS 2013, while adding this workflow to the project I selected document library for it and also selected pre-created tasks and history lists.
I deployed the worklow from VS project menu, then started it manually in the library, worflow completed successfully.
After it I called "Retract" from VS project menu, it completed without errors, but teh workflow stayed in library. Then I deployed it again, went to the library workflow settings, removed the workflow, retracted it again using VS project menu.
But, now when I go to library - workflow setings - add workflow, I still can see there my workflow option (though the solution is retracted and feature is removed from site collection).
What should I do to remove it?

Images Removed from Vault Folder

So if I try to import any of those images in "Images Removed from Vault" with the box checked don't import duplicates, and I check each and every image and none show up in Import window then these must be duplicates and then safe to trash? Correct?

Yes it is a normal but unreported feature. When you run the vault command the vault created is a snapshot of the current state of the library. If there is a previous vault for this library then images that are in the vault but no longer in the library are moved to the folder you referred to.
If you are certain you do not want any of those images anymore you an delete them.

Why was RSSI removed from iOS4?

It appears that the Field Test Mode has been removed from iOS4 which also prevents owners from accessing their RSSI levels. The RSSI level provides a much better indication of the cellular wireless service signal strength than the signal strength bars. Why has this feature been removed from my 3G phone with iOS4, and is there a better way to monitor signal strength that will not use bars that work on a faulty algorithm?

If you developed a phone that had "signal strength issues" that you were blaming on a mis-calibrated "bars" display, would you want to have a direct signal strength display as well, letting users verify that claim for themselves?

Should cancelled mailbox moves result in any moved mail data removed from target server?

I was moving mailboxes from 1 DB to another. 3 out of 120 were left running for 12 hours; they were the biggest ones and it was very slow to process the items. There were also reports of slowness on the server so I had no choice but to cancel the moves.
My question is should cancelled mailbox moves result in any moved mail data being removed from the target database? It doesn't appear that my disk as increased in space again so I'm wondering if it's there as whitespace maybe? There is an event logged to say
the mailbox has been deleted from the target.
Would appreciate if someone can clear this up and possibly explain exactly what occurs during this type of scenario.

In Exchange 2000, 2003 and 2007 mailboxes become unavailable during movement, when a mailbox move takes place, the mailbox isn't actually moved, it's just copied to the destination location. Once that copy has finished, AD is updated to point to the new location
and the old mailbox is deleted from the source EDB file.
The most different between Exchange 2010 and legacy version in move mailbox is that allows end-users to be online in their email accounts. On completing the move users just needs to reopen their Outlook clients.
Mailbox Move Requests are a new feature set of Exchange 2010 and requires running a series of Cmdlets to perform asynchronous online mailbox moves with the help of a service agent called Mailbox Replication Service (MRS). MRS is available on all Exchange 2010

Spaces in Expose on OS X Lion - feature removed/updated?

Was the spaces feature updated/removed from Expose? I can't seem to get the multiple displays grid you get with spaces. It's all jumbled up in one big window looking very messy. Please help - many thanks!

I also miss the grid layout of spaces. In fact, I'm considering downgrading back to Snow Leopard just to get it back. I used to use command+arrow keys to move around in my grid of spaces. I used to use a hot corner to initiate spaces, then another hot corner to initiate expose while "zoomed out" in spaces. I used to be able to click any window of any app in any space and move it to any other space. I used to be able to move an entire space to another location.
Now I've upgraded to Lion and I cannot do any of that. Serious downgrade, serious loss of efficiency. I've taken the time to learn how Lion handles all this. I've taken the time to change options to try to make MC more efficient. Simply put, it's a downgrade that breaks something great from Snow Leopard.
For example: Initiate Mission Control while on desktop 1 and I see a window on desktop 2 that I want on desktop 3. In order to move that, I have to first switch to desktop 2, initiate MC, then move the app. Not to mention, if that window were under another window, I'd not be able to see it at all!
For example: In SL, to go from space 1 to 9 on a 3x3 layout, I could use command+right, down, down, right. On Lion, I have to use comand+right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right. seriously? Sure, I could use command+9 (if that's even where Lion decided it wanted to keep the app!), but I prefer the efficiency of using 1 hand to do the keyboard shortcut.

Why was the link button removed from the piano roll?

Why was the LINK (chain) button removed from the piano roll? This makes Logic X useless to me as I can no longer compose or perform new lines based on previous midi performances. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

I miss that button too and just filled out the LX Feedback form (Menubar -> Logix Pro X-> Feedback) with the following text. Maybe if you guys did the same, we had a chance revive this essetial feature!!!

it seems as if the Link Button (Yellow chain symbol) has been removed from the piano roll for no reason. In Score View it is still there.
I (and probably more users) absolutely NEED that Button to decouple the content of the piano roll from the selected track/region AND to use multiple piano roll windows with independent content.
- For transscripting (Mute/Solo Audio regions while editing a Midi-Region)
- For arranging. Edit 2 different midi regions both in separate Piano Roll windows
- For recording. "Reading" Drum-Patterns while recording the Bass e.g.
Please bring that button back or explain why it was removed
