pertaining to your issue - there is no difference between cf8
editions.
your error is likely due to a wrong path to your cfc, but
without seeing
your code and more details on cfc location on your dev server
it is
impossible to say for sure...

  • Differences between Soalris and Solaris Express /Developer Edition

    Hi
Thank you for readingn my post
What is different between Solaris Express (Developer Edition) and solaris OS?
Are they the same and with same capabilities?
Can I install S1 Grid suite in a Express edition?
    Thanks

Solaris 10 (with several updates) is the current release version of the Solaris operating system.
Since the release in '05, Sun has been developing the "next" version of Solaris. Using the OpenSolaris code as a base, this version is codenamed "Nevada". Periodic builds of this version are available as Solaris Express. So you get more up-to-date drivers, features, and bugs from it. Because it's under development, there are no patches. Instead you'd need to upgrade to the next release (or create your own patch).
I haven't looked specifically at S1 Grid, so it very likely will install. However installations on Solaris Express may not be a supported configuration if you need that.

  • CF 9 to 9.01 Developer Edition

    Hi Folks -
I am looking for some help, ideas, or just a confirmation that it can or can't be done.
I'd prefer the help though. ;-)
I am currently running a Win 7 box with Apache 2.2 and CF 9 Developer edition.
I just d/led the CF 9.01 update to get the cleaner S3 functionality.
I install the .jar file into the updates folder (per the instructions and all the other changes),I restart my apache server, and the CF server (several times at this point), and the version still reads 9,0,0,251028  not 9,0,1,x.
Any ideas or help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Doug

    hi Doug,
Sounds like you are trying to install a cumulative hotfix rather than update 1. You are on Windows so I expect you need to download and run EXE
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/coldfusion/updates/901/ColdFusion_update_901_WWEJ_win.e xe , see:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/downloads_updates.html#cf9
All the best with that, Carl.

  • Programmatically create objects and formulas in Crystal Reports XI Developer edition?

<p>Is it possible to programatically/dynamically create a text, line, formula field object, etc. in Crystal XI Developer edition?  I have been programming with the Crystal .Net reports component that came with VS 2005 for the past 6 months and know for a fact you can&#39;t programmatically create those objects although you can programmatically control their properties.  My intention is to create a dynamic report that can be reused extensively.  My current work-around for this was to create a generic report with about 40 formula field objects which draws data from 40 corresponding formula fields that I can programmatically set it&#39;s formula thus imitating a report field.  I want to update to the developer edition because I heard with this edition we can programmatically create and manipulate these objects but I found no reference or examples anywhere that proves we can do this?  Does anyone know for a fact or point me to the right place to look for documentation?  TIA</p>

    Hi,
How can I programmatically refresh list of values status on CR server XI R2?
Currently, after I modified the data source in the data connection, some of the LOVs in the report prompt window became empty when I tried to generate the report. I have to use Business View Manager to log onto the Crystal reports server XI R2, find and double click the list of values object to bring up the Edit LOV window, and then click on "Refresh Status" button to make the LOV available in the report prompt window.
What SDK should I use to create a simple application (preferable a desktop application) to find all LOV objects on CR server XI R2 and to refresh their status? That is an application similar to the "Refresh Status" function in Business View Manager.
I found Report Engine SDK has the Lov.Refresh function to refresh LOV. On the other hand, Report Engine SDK seems to be for BusinessObjects Enterprise, not for Crystal Reports Server. Can this or other function achieve what I want, i.e. to refresh list of values status on CR server XI R2? If yes, can I use it to develop a self-contained desktop application instead of a web application? I only need to run this application after I modify the data source in the data connection, so I prefer not need to deploy it as a web service.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Lost Developer Edition theme color when I ran sync and restarted, how to get it back?

I started using Firefox Developer Edition and I turned on sync so I can sync with current version of Firefox I have been using until now. The sync worked fine but when I restarted Firefox, the developer edition came up with the look of the non developer edition version of Firefox. I went in the customize setting and turned on "Use Firefox Developer Edition Theme" and it changed everything but the color. Instead of being the default black that it was originally installed with, now uses the default greyish tan color that is the default of the non developer version. How do I get look of the Firefox Developer Edition back to it's default look?

There are also a few choices for lightweight theme (Persona) via the Themes button in the Customize palette window.

after mozilla firefox crashed and a restart, the Firefox Developer Edition opend - how to open the normal firefox browser ?

See if this works for you.
Open up Tools > Options -> General and toggle the first preference - '''Allow Firefox Developer Edition and Firefox to run at the same time''' - to get back to your previous Aurora Profile. It will tell you to restart Firefox.
If there's a check-mark in the box for that pref it shows the Aurora Profile, if you remove that check-mark it shows the Developer Edition Profile.

  • What happened to Aurora? It suddenly became Firefox Developer Edition on my computer. My bookmarks and addons all disappeared.

I think Aurora updated before I turned off my computer. When I booted up again, Firefox Developer Edition appeared in place of Aurora. My bookmarks and addons all disappeared.

  • Can be Cold Fusion Developer Edition used to develop the product and deliver to client?

Can be Cold Fusion Developer Edition used to develop the product and deliver to client?

The two IP limit not withstanding, the EULA for ColdFusion prevents you from legally using Developer Edition in any production environment.  Using it for development is fine, though.

Also check if the environment variables are set right on your Windows machine.

  • Difference between Productive edition and Developer edition

    Hi,
what is the difference between SAP NW CE 7.1 installed in Developer edition and Productive Edition.
1)If we are planning for a three system landscape like SAP ERP instances with dev-qas and prd which edition
should we be going ahead with ?
    2) In productive edition, can't we install sap nw developer studio like we can do in developer edition.
    3) In a 3 tier landscape can we have a mix of editions ie DEV with developer edition and PRD in production edition..
    Please reply.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Hi,
The difference is mainly that the productive edition is compliant to the usual SAP system layout(sapmnt/saploc shares, users, groups, etc.) while in the development edition these are skipped. From the functional perspective they should be identical.
In addition I AFAIK 32 bit windows is generally not supported for production (because of memory management issues) while 64-bit is not supported for development (IDE).
    On your questions:
    1) I guess development for developers, production for the rest.
    2) I don't think the dev studio is supported on 64-bit.
    3) No problem here. However if you're about to need system copy (for example to clone productive system data into dev/qa environment) it will not work for development edition. Have this in mind when you plan your landscape.
    Hope this helps !
    Best regards, dido

    Hi,
This 3rd time I followed this link. But nothing new, same error.
Can you please tell me how to do follow, I cannt do the 1st step, how to change the local system to windows level account, vice-versa. It is shown mine as
    Server Configuration Manager(Local)
From here I folllowed the steps ---[I cannt insert link/image :-(]
SQL 2008/R2 setup fails with "Wait on the database engine recovery handle failed"
If I right clicked on SQL Server Service, there is no option to change the account.
    Hello,
Thanks for your patience, did you tried stesp mentioned in below article
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqljourney/archive/2012/03/16/sql-2008-r2-setup-fails-with-quot-wait-on-the-database-engine-recovery-handle-failed-quot.aspx
To resolve it, follow these steps:-
When the installation throws this error, click on OK and allow it to proceed. It will fail for Database Engine, but the SQL Server service should have
been created. Check the Services console.
If the service is present, perform the following steps:-
    1. Go to SQL Server Configuration manager, right click on the SQL Server service, and change the service account (if it is local system, give
it a windows level account, and vice-versa). It might throw a WMI error but you will see the account getting updated anyway. If not, then use the Services console. Change the account for SQL Agent as well.
Use this link to change sql server service account
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345578.aspx
    2. Next, try to start the service. It should come online.
    3. However, you will not be able to log in to the SQL Server
    4. Now stop the service and start it from the command prompt using -m -c -T3608 parameters.
    5. Now try logging in to the server using admin connection from sqlcmd (sqlcmd admin:<server name>\<instance name> ...)
    6. Once logged in, use the sp_addsrvrolemember '<domain\username>','sysadmin'.
Also add the builtin/administrators to the sysadmin role
    7. Now stop the service from the command prompt and start it from SQL Server configuration manager
You should be able to log in to the server now.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • SQL Server 2014 Developer Edition

Microsoft is no longer offering version 2012 developer edition. So, is SQL Server 2014 developer edition ok to use with SQL Server 2012? Thanks.

AFAIK you can ask/purchase  developer edition in local MS office.. But it is certainly OK to use SQL Server 2012 Dev Edition to manage servers from different versions.

  • Ann: Jinspired Provides Free JDBInsight 1.2 Developer Edition License

    Press Release
    ===================================================================
Jinspired Provides Free JDBInsight 1.2 Developer Edition License
    DUBLIN, IRELAND - 14 April , 2003 - Jinspired (www.jinspired.com), a leader in
J2EE™ transaction analysis, today announced that it is providing a free license
for the Developer Edition of its innovative performance tuning product, JDBInsight
    1.2.
J2EE™ developers using JDBInsight 1.2, can now acquire a greater understanding
of the transactional behaviour of their J2EE™ components from day one. With the
early adoption of JDBInsight in the development life cycle, many of the common
performance problems can be prevented. JDBInsight's unique and powerful information
visualizations of SQL and JDBC™ transactions, make it an ideal tool for those
development teams looking to reduce the risks of incurring future performance
and scalability problems with their J2EE™ applications.
"The feedback from the development and performance testing community regarding
JDBInsight's low overhead, transactional behaviour data capture, and user interface
has been phenomenal.", said William Louth, CTO & Product Architect, Jinspired.
“The reason for providing a free Developer Edition license is to encourage the
early adoption of Java application performance and monitoring products. Typically,
Jinspired is called in to resolve performance problems too late in the development
lifecycle, resulting in increased development, hardware and software costs to
the customer that could have been prevented.”

    About JDBInsight
JDBInsight is an innovative enterprise development product, aimed at simplifying
the performance tuning and testing of J2EE™ applications, which access data through
the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC™) API. JDBInsight analyses the access of
enterprise data by J2EE™ client-, web-, and bean containers. The analysis can
encompass transaction executions, from multiple J2EE™ containers. JDBInsight captures
timing and execution information for enterprise data accessed by Servlets, JavaServer
Pages, Session- and Entity Beans using JDBC™ or an Entity Bean using a container's
persistence engine. JDBInsight can also profile non-J2EE applications that access
enterprise data through the JDBC™ API.
    About Jinspired
Jinspired located in Ireland, delivers JDBInsight, a comprehensive solution for
Application Performance Tuning and Testing that focuses directly on early identification

The two non-localhost IP address for the developer edition
    are set to
the IP addresses of the first two systems that connect to it
    after a
    ColdFusion service startup.
If you restart the ColdFusion service the current IP
    addresses will be
cleared and the next two to connect will then be allowed.
