Akai LPD8 MIDI issue. Logic MIDI hangs at start up until computer power cycle =(
It extremely annoying--Whenever I have my Akai LPD8 plugged in, Logic Pro 8 will not load right with 'checking midi' hanging on the opening screen after my computer is put to sleep since it's turned on. In other words, Logic loads MIDI just fine after a fresh restart. But once the comp goes to sleep and head back to it later, Logic won't load MIDI. When Logic finally loads without MIDI, I get an error message like this: 'Mac OS X Midi not available.'
I searched some forums on here, and saw the suggestion to go into the MIDI Drivers folder and remove them. I had some Line6 driver, an M-audio, and an old eMagic driver. Logic still won't work right with the Akai LPD8 plugged in (I have to restart the comp without it connected in order to not have the issue). The conflict seems to be with the Akai LPD8. It's annoying because it doesn't even have a driver--it's supposed to be completely compliant with OS X. This makes me wonder if there are any other tricks I can try to solve this issue.

HT200084 Logic X hangs on start up. Updating information about audio units plug ins.
last session logic X crashed as I closed down..Logic hangs on every start up.The screen splash says Updating information about audio units plug ins. However it just stays like that. Tried deleting the com.apple.audiounits.cache with no result. The preference/plugin manager is greyed out so can't get to that.. updated Yosemite to latest.
Does any on have any ideas??

i have checked the ~ Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components as well.
the latest is by trashing the cache i have managed to get past the hanging screen and open a project but I have no plugins and also virtual instruments available. ( orange ! icon)
I can now access the plugin manager and tried a rescan but it won't validate plugins that I have licenses for. I should add I am not running any cracks etc, it is all purchased and licensed plugins or demo versions.

Logic Studio 9.1.7 hangs during "Checking MiDI Drivers" when starting up.
Everytime since this update that I've tried to start Logic Pro it hangs during the "Checking MiDI Drivers" process (I use a Novation Nocturn 25). When it finally loads after like 5 minutes I get this message:
Logic Pro has detected a MIDI timeout. Please restart your computer, then relaunch Logic Pro. If the problem persists, update the drivers of all connected MIDI devices (including audio drivers with MIDI functionality) to the latest version. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation.
I've tried going to my HD then going to Library then going to MiDI drivers folder to move them to the desktop, but there is nothing in there. Anyone else have this problem and can help?Hi,

move the contents of the folder on the Desktop.
Start Logic pro.
How many plugins are installed in this folder?
If Logic starts without crashing,quit it and
move back each one at a time and restart Logic to find out which one is crashing it.

I got Logic Express 9 yesterday and have been messing around with it using my Akai LPD8. For some reason I'm having an issue assigning the kick drum. It seems like it was working previously, but I think something went awry after I tried to do a Command + L learn function. Now, whenever I assign C1 as the kick for any of the pads, I'm not getting any output.
I can see that if I use the Logic keyboard method when ALL CAPS is selected, every time I click on the letter 'K', I get the kick sound and I can see 'C1' as the Input in the Transport Bar . But, like I said, when I assign C1 for one of the pads, I get nothing. I still see C1 as input in the Transport Bar when the pad is hit, but no sound.
I'm a complete novice when it comes to using DAWs above Garageband level as well as using MIDI controllers. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks for the reply Brazeca.
I've only got one track in my Arrange window, if I'm understanding you correctly. All the other assigned pads work fine on this track. I'm just not getting anything from the pad with C1 assigned.
As far as the manuals go, the manual for the LPD is pretty non existent much to my frustration. The manual for Logic Express is not much help either. -
MIDI Timeout on start up GarageBand 11
Got a brand new iMac in February, GarageBand will not start up due to a freeze in MIDI the following is the error message I Get:
GarageBand has detected a MIDI timeout. Please restart your computer, then relaunch GarageBand. If the problem persists, update the drivers of all connected MIDI devices (including audio drivers with MIDI functionality) to the latest version. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation.
I have done as suggested, but GarageBand still won't complete start up. I cannot open old projects, I have repaired disk permissions, removed the "EmagicUSBMIDIDriver" as was suggested in a post for the '08 version. Still no luck as far as getting it to work. I continue to get the same messages. I have no MIDI drivers to install. and none that I can find on the web.
I bought a mac mini at the same time, same basic configuration, but it works over there. I have a Casio keyboard that plugs into the USB port and works like a charm on my Mini, but doesn't on the iMac. Anybody have a clue as to what can be done to make it work?Guys,

I got the MIDI TIMEOUT issue all of a sudden while I was using Logic Pro 9.1.5 connecting my Apogee GIO and my Casio keyboard at the same time.
I am running OS 10.7 (Lion)
The issue seems to be due to a Driver conflict between GIO and MIDI
I tried to remove all the Apogee GIO drivers and Plug In (I even removed the Apogee Gio.app).
My Casio model does not need any driver, so I guess it's running by using some default drivers (I only found EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin but I don't want to touch this).
Well, now my Logic Pro and GarageBand open without anymore error, so I fell much better!
I will try to install again the Apogee GIO drivers later...Hopefully this error will not persist!

Im stuck!!To really find out in what frequency range the harshness you're describing lives you should enhance it first making it even more harsh and then reduce it with steep EQ bands. Just dialing in some EQ at 3 k because "they say" that's where the harshness lives will not yield satisfying results. I also found that using dynamic EQs which only react above/below a certain level work wonders sometimes compared to static EQs. The harshness might only occur on loud parts but not on soft parts so why dial out the entire frequency range for good making everything sound dead. Sonalksis has some great dynamic tools for this and I use those in almost every project.

When I try to start my Garageband 6.05,I get a repetitive message that the core audio midi will not start. If I choose to ignore it, report it or reopen it, it just keeps coming up and garage will not load or start up? Any suggestions? THanks
I'm just guessing at this point, but I suspect that you have installed a midi driver on your computer for some external device, and, since GarageBand's midi capabilities are limited in some ways, chances are your audio/midi driver is asking GarageBand to do something more than it's made to do, causing core audio's midi function to crash.
If that's the case, you might want to try adjusting your midi device's driver settings, or uninstalling your midi device's driver, and then see if GarageBand starts up normally without it. -
My MBP 13" Mid 2012 wont start up anymore after Yosemite update
My MBP 13" Mid 2012 wont start up anymore after updating to Yosemite. I tried various fixes but i think this escalated to an HDD problem. Startup disk wont show up both in DiskUtility and re-install OSx via Internet Recovery. Though I kind of doubt that an update can actually harm your HDD or RAM, is it even possible that Yosemite Effed up my unit? Should apple be responsible for the fix?

KDE / gnome hang while starting
Hi,
well, KDE and Gnome hang while starting them, when I change back to console, I can read the following:
xset: bad font path element (#63), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
Directory missing fonts.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax
I reinstalled xorg, kde, gnome, but again it simply hangs, xorg starts up normally, but when changing to kde or gnome it hangs
xfce4, wmi, dr17 run well.
I didn change any config filel...
So any idea what could be wrong ?

After an earlier attempt to move Logic from my other mac (OSX 10.6.8) with the migration assistant to my new mac with OSX 10.8.2. I've re-started the whole start up process by erasing the hard drive from the new machine and build it up from scratch. After a new "out of the box" start, I decided to install LOGIC from my disks : starting with my 2007 package Logic Studio 8 and upgrading with my Logic 9 package from 2009. When trying to start to install 2008 I got the error message : Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported.
What does this mean? HOw do I get this working under 10.8.2 as it works flawlessly under OSX 10.6.8. For sure I didn't buy a new machine to have OSX 10.8.2 but I suspect this is the roadblock to installing my logic package.

I completely lost the thread (I actually got confused between you and another poster on a another forum that was asking the same basic question) and somehow ended up thinking you were trying to install on a PPC Mac
My apologies and please ingnore those parts of my last post relating to the PPC Macs...
You have an Intel Mac and therefore Logic Studio 2 Boxed Upgrade set should install/run on your Mac without issue. As I said earlier.. you do not need to try and install from the original Logic Studio 1 /Logic 8 Boxed set...(It won't work anyhow because you have an Intel Mac and that version had a PPC installer) but just install from the Logic Studio 2 / Logic Pro 9 Upgrade Boxed setof DVDs instead...
Have you tried the "Make Disk Image" solution I gave earlier? That normnally works under such circumstances as what you are describing can happen when your DVD drive cannot read the DVDs correctly... I have had this situation myself where one drive read them okay and another failed to do so for whatever reason. Making and then installing from Disk images of those exact same disks resolved the issue for me...
You can try to reinstall directly from the DVDs of course though under some circumstances it may not allow you to reinstall Logic Pro itself if that part of the original installation attempt was successful... in which case you can also try this... (It's probably the easiest method if Logic 9 was already installed and present in your Apps Folder)
If the Logic Pro App is in your applications folder..
Run Software Updates to update Logic Pro to a version that will run under 10.8.2 (The initially installed version of Logic will not)
Run Logic
Go to the menu bar in Logic and select Logic Pro/Install Additional Content and select all content in there..
This content is basically exactly the same as what is stored on the remaining DVDs of the boxed set so you might not need to use the rest of the DVDs to install from but download it all instead from Apple Servers... -

Post goods issue for deliveries, suppose if the shipment document is created for XXXX country do the post goods issue after clicking the push button loading start on. and if the shipment is created other than the XXXX Country do the post goods issue after clicking the shipment start button(Done by Standard SAP).
There will be validation table in background to identify which shipping point to allow Post Goods Issue before shipment completion. This will require enhancement of Delivery User Exit to incorporate above check based on below mentioned Z Table.

- Delivery Type
Any body please suggest the user exit or any function module and how to start code for this particular requirement.

You can write your own vaalidation on click of loading start button.
Go to include MV56AI_IS_ENHANCEMENT of program SAPMV56A.
Click on the circular button(Enhance).
Then Edit --> Enhancement Operation --> Create.
Create your enhancement giving it a Z name.
Then in this enhancement you can write your code.
For loading start you can write your code in the following fashion.
IF fcode = 'MM_ST03'.
business logic.....
ENDIF.

Jdbc sender adapter hangs and starts showing "Processing Started" forever
Dear ,
We are facing some issues with jdbc sender adapter channel on production system
Environment : XI 3.0 SP 20 + HP-UX 11.23 ia64 + Oracle 10.2
Sometimes it hangs and starts showing "Processing Started" forever on communication channel monitoring .
There is no error log for this.
If i stop it and then start it , no use.
If i copied this to a new one then it works.
I have found few SAP note like 1078420,1083488 , but my system is already at higher patch level.
Can you please advise me something as we are facing in production frequently.

This problem even we too faced in our project and thought of many stupid things finally found that the JDBC adapter is LOCKED.
Check in the Visual Admin >Cluster> "LOCKING ADAPTER"
we get a option of Display Locks .Check for an entry with
NAME : $XIDBAD.JDBC2XI
reset the locks and restart the CC ,now it works fine.
Note 1083488 - XI FTP/JDBC sender channel stop polling indefinitely(04/04S)

HP P7-1240 Computer hangs while starting
My computer hangs when starting. I get a black screen with nothing happening. If I press control-alt-del the task manager window that opens shows a few things n processes but no activity. After awhile the system seems to free itself and processes start to be added and the computer starts. I'd like to skip the hanging. Any ideas?

Windows 2008 R2 DC VM's hang at start-up
I have 2 Virtual Domain Controllers, they login fine for about 4 weeks after a reboot. After about 4 weeks when logging in via Remote Desktop then they stay at the welcome screen, or they hang at the Group Policy phase of the log in.
Now I have one that hung on the Group Policy phase of the Log out.
I've tried a lot of fixes I've found on this site, and others on the internet.

Is the group policy “Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon” enabled? If yes, please disable it to see if the issue persists.
This group policy is under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon.
