Akamai Client Quits When I try to Download CS5
I keep trying to download CS5 Master Collection for the Mac. The Akamai Client Installer says "connecting" for a few seconds, then it quits.
Zuh?
Try without Akamai, there should be something to click for that...
But if you don't see any way to do it for some reason, this thread could help.

Safari Quits When I Try To Download
Every time I try to download anything, safari just quits. I can download stuff, but only when I control+click and press "download linked file". I've tried to get rid of all the plug-ins like DAP and it still does it.

When I try to download Adobe Flash Player, it says I need to quit out of Safari even when it's closed. How do I fix this?
Apologies for the slightly pedantic answer, but in application terms, "closed" and "quit" are two different things. An application such as Safari can have several windows open, and each of them can be closed using the red button in the corner.
However, even after all windows are closed, the application is still running until you specifically quit it. You can tell it's still running by the small light under its icon in the Dock. If you hold your cursor down on the icon for a few seconds, you should see a pop up menu with the "Quit" option - click that to quit it. Or, click the icon once (this may launch a new window), then either go to the Safari menu and click Quit, or click cmd-Q, to completely quit the app.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
I want to uninstall Acrobat reader. I got support in the community to access my HD and to send to trash the internet plugs in for PDF viewer, but when I try to download a PDF from internet a black screen appears and preview doesn't open

If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:

If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -
Mail unexpectedly quits when I try to open the Mail Application 4.5.

I have tried the suggestions already given on Lists, and nothing has yet worked...10.6.8 is not Mountain Lion.
How big is your hard drive, and how full is it?
Did you happen to download any system cache cleaners? Those can damage its ability to function.
Have you tried repairing permissions?
Is your data backed up?
Is Spotlight indexed?
Is the Mail trying to load an IMAP, POP or Exchange account?

Click Go.
If you see the: AdobePDFViewer plugin in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.

Mac says unknown error when i try to download yosemite
when i try to download iOS yosemite onto my mac it says unknown error and then won't continue. my mac is the macbook pro retina display the thin version. i have 162 GB free of flash storage and says i have an 8GB memory. the last version of iOS mavericks is installed on it 10.9.5 so I'm sure its able to do it. Give this a try:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion or Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu. -
Safari crashes when I try to download

When I try to download using safari, any widget or content form other websites safari crashes and quits , I dont have any problems downloading other stuff with my G5, just with safari . This is what it says about the crash.

If that doesn't help, have a look through 'HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/' and 'HD/Library/InputManagers/' for anything that looks suspicious.

I have purchased a tv series from iTunes for Mac.. When I try to download either the episodes individually or the entire series all I get are the first minute or so of each. What am I doing wrong? ( My Internet connect is strong and good.)

Install the appropriate combo update ...
For v10.6 Snow Leopard > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
For v10.7 Lion > OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo)
Then restart your Mac. That will reinstall the App Store for you.
See if you can download an app.
