Aladdin eToken Pro compatability with Windows on iMac (bootcamp)

I am in the process of buying a computer for my home office. I am a technical writer documenting maritime chart systems, and therefore I have to run Win 7/8 for the chart system. The chart system uses Aladdin eToken Pro (Java 72k) for licensing purposes, and before I buy I need to know whether it is compatible with an iMac running Windows.
I will be using bootcamp for Windows 7/8, and the iMac I'm looking at is the 2014 base 27" non-retina.
I have investigated this with the chart provider that requires the use of eToken, and they have no idea if there are any bumps in the road.
Looking forward to any insight you could offer me.

Bluetooth compatibility with Windows on iMac?

My wireless Apple keyboard and Mighty Mouse work great under Tiger OS. When I first went into Windows, I plugged in the wired keyboard and mouse and registered both Bluetooth devices under Windows, and they worked fine. The wired items went back to storage.
When I close Windows, go to Tiger, everything still works fine but when I go back to Windows the wireless devices have lost their registration. I've re-set them up several times but it happens every time. Anyone have a suggested way to register the bluetooth devices with Windows so they will stay registered?

Currently, the Apple Bluetooth Radio does not work well in Windows. There is just some sort of incompatibility which keeps Windows from keeping Apple (or Microsoft, for that matter) Bluetooth devices registered in Windows. The same is true if you use Microsoft Bluetooth devices in OS X.
I have the same problems using my Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop set with my Intel iMac in Windows or OS X.
The Apple hardware and software just is not very compatible with Windows, nor is the Windows hardware very compatible with its own software or with OS X.
I guess we will just have to wait until both Microsoft and Apple improve cross-platform compatibility.
Sorry, but I have no answer for you other than that. They just don't work as they should right now.

Using Aladdin eToken Pro for logon to Mac OSX

Hello forum,
actually we are working/using aladdin etoken pro to authenticate to our windows clients by storing username and password (no certificate) to this token-devcie.
Now we are offering macbooks as well and the global aim is to logon to mac osx also with aladdin etoken pro 32/64 K.
Has anyone experiences in these topic ?
any help appreciated for helping me getting the aladdin etoken pro up and running for logon at our macbooks.

SQL Server Express compatibility with Windows 8.1 - Which version(s) are compatible?

We have purchased a new computer that has Win 8.1 Pro. We are migrating an application from a Win 7 Pro machine we are currently successfully using (the vendor migrates it for us) and they have said that the application will require the installation of SQL
Server 2008 Express (which we do have on our Win 7 machine).
In looking at the requirements for SQL Server 2008 Express (on the download page for it), it does not mention it being compatible with Win 8.1
In addition, Installation Instructions says that it requires:
Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1
Windows Installer 4.5.
Windows PowerShell 1.0
I see that 3.5 is already listed as a program feature of Win8.1 and I've enabled it. Do I need to install SP1? I downloaded it, and launched it, and nothing happened.
I also looked at the Windows Installer 4.5 download page, and it's not clear if that is compatible with 8.1. Do I need to download and install it?
Power Shell 2.0 is already installed. I assume that will be backwards compatible with PowerShell 1.0; is that correct?
I saw another question about SQL Server Express Compatibility with Win 8.1 (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/038ec00e-4fc1-41ba-9fdc-21c022aad67e/action?threadDisplayName=sql-server-express-compatibility-with-windows-81) and the response
said that SQL Server Express 2012 will work, but the link contained in the answer led to a page for SQL Server Express 2014.
My vendor has told me that SQL SERver Express 2012 will be backwards compatible with their product. But they said that I would first have to install 2008 first. Is that correct for Win 8.1?
So, the ultimate questions are:
1. What is the link for Sql Server 2012 Express for Win 8.1?
2. Will the SQL Server 2012 Express download require prior install of the 2008 version
3. What other component requirements are required for SQL Server 2012 Express, and how can I determine if they have already been installed. (This is a brand new computer with a clean Win8.1 Install).
4. Finally, can we use the 2014 version of SQL Server Express for Win 8.1? If so, questions 1, 2 and 3 apply, too.

Installing Aladdin etoken Pro

Hello,
I have 64 bit archLinux install.
I am trying to install Aladdin etoken Pro drivers on the archlinux. I have installed pkiclient 5.00.28-1 (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pkiclient/ ), wherein I modified the PKGBUILD to install from 64 bit.
Then I got error about missing file on - libpcsclite.so.1
I added lib32-pcsclite, but then got further errors.
After this I was able to install pkiclient package. However when I run etProps, I get following errors
$ etProps
etProps: error while loading shared libraries: libusb-0.1.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
$ etProps
etProps: error while loading shared libraries: libhal.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I am following a dependency chain down but then got struck at lib32-hal , which just wouldn't compile.
What is the best way to get Aladdin etoken Pro installed and working? What are the commands to use the pkiclient?
If i run following command I get an error:
$ sudo openct-tool list
Error: can't open /var/run/openct/status: No such file or directory

Is PE7 compatable with windows 7 64bit?

are there any versions of Adobe Premiere Elements besides PE8 that are compatable with Windows 7 64bit? I have heard of lots of problems with PE8 and I would prefer using PE7 if possible. Actually I use PE3 with XP home 32 bit and love and don't really want to upgrade but it seems like i might have to. thanks

i downloaded the PE8 trial and have worked with it for a couple of hours and had only one glitch so far. while capturing it froze after about 10 minutes, i had to capture the rest and splice it in. i added some titles and a 2nd audio track that was mono and used audio effects to copy left track to right track, i faded in video and audio and so far everything seems to be working fine.
i have an intel MB D975XBX2
dual core processor,
4 gigs of RAM
win7 pro 64bit
it's taking a little getting used to but probably not as hard as trying to learn a whole other program like sony studio for example. i've got 30 days and i'll keep using it and see how it goes but so far, so good.

My bother (who resides in another state) just purchased an HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer. He tried to connect it to his computer than has XP Pro as the OS, and gets the following error message:

This explaination may help. The CD which came with the printer may not cover for this situation. My suggestion: go to this site to download XP driver & application then install them on the XP machine.

I have removed and re-installed CS2 twice now and still get the same library application error.
DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS 8 ONTO YOUR COMPUTER IF YOU WANT TO KEEP CS2!
Telling us to spend more money to upgrade our software to meet OS does not show trust to the users. CS2 should be able to work with new OS systems and if not users should be allowed to update their current program for free to be able to use it on the new OS.

only play when viewed in a browser (html file) or when

application using ActiveX or similar. So if you are tryting
to play a swf

Are you using Adobe Reader 7 on Windows 8? If so, the message is probably correct and you should download the latest version of Adobe Reader (which is XI).
If you already have Reader XI, maybe you can give us some more details about where you are at and what you are doing when you get this message.
