Alarm App on Nokia 2520

I've just bought a Nokia 2520 Tablet and am VERY pleased with it. The battery life and screen image is simply amazing! Windows RT seems really good too - I really don't know why some users knock the product so much.
My only slight problem is that I can't get the Microsoft Alarm app to sound the alarm! When I test the sound in the app it works fine. When I set the alarm everything looks OK and when the set time is reached the alarm shows on the screen but ........... no sound! If the 2520 is asleep the alarm wakes the tablet and the screen illuminates - but ......... no sound!
Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Thanks for your input, psychomania. On this occassion the volume is turned up!
There was no info on the Microsoft site you suggested so I had an on-line chat with Nokia care in the UK.
"Rose" suggested that I reset the 2520 using the option to retain all files and settings. That worked a treat and I'm no longer late for breakfast!
Great service from Nokia Care for a great product. I strongly recommend both.

I was never a fan alarm clocks, the awful alarms they sounds are certainly no way to start the day. My CD radio alarm clock is slowly starting to pack in and I figure my iPhone4 can do the same thing. Looking for a weather alarm app

Hi all. I am looking for a voice alarm app that tells me what the weather is currently and what the forecast is for the day when the alarm time comes around.
The closest I have found is "morning report" but it does not give the forecast.

I accidentally deleted my "clock/alarm" app. How do I get the icon back?

I was moving apps and accidentally deleted the clock/alarm app. I can "search" and get my alarms, but I still can't get the icon to move it to my home screen. How do I get the icon back?

I've looked in other folders and screens and can't locate it. I understand that there are apps that can't be deleted and this is one of them....I've tried several ways to locate it and can't.

Have you tried keeping power button depressed for 8 seconds until 3 vibrations felt which is synonymous with removing battery if it was feasible and then trying to re-boot normally?

I have a subscription package consisting of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Lightroom (CC). How do I install them into my Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet. Are there any known issues?

Doesn't the Nokia 2520 run the cut-down tablet version of Windows (Windows RT)? If so, I don't believe that any of the CC applications you mention will work on it... You need a tablet with the full version of Windows 8.

If you have problems with remembering a new password then make sure that you remove all entries from that server (look for an empty name as well) and also check the exceptions to make sure that the site is not listed there.

totally wrong place to ask. has nothing to do with Nokia. it is up to the developer whether they develop the app for a particular platform or not. you will need to ask WhatsApp and enquire with them regarding availability of WhatsApp for your device.

Calendar alarm APP that will continue to sound until turned off?

Is there a calendar or alarm app that continues to sound alarm or reminder until you actually turn it off? Many cell phones have voicemail reminders and my Palm TREO (R.I.P.) had one for calendar alarms.

Most Android phones can be made to do this with their own settings, however you can go to the Play Store and download others. This type of alarm will be very hard on your battery life as a rule.

Mail App in Nokia X2-01

Mail app in nokia X2-01 is not working. Is there any option to upgrade it to working mail app. Current mail version is 2.0.24.

The Nokia X2-01 did not get the direct E-mail client, it stayed with the proxy E-mail client; which the proxy did turned off. Furthermore, you got the direct E-mail client via a firmware update only. Only via the Nokia Suite (= update of content package). Finally, the server for app updates is down for several months now, therefore, you are not able your client. Anyway in any case, it would have stayed at the proxy variant which is defunct.
However, I attached the direct E-mail client from the Nokia 207. Never tested that with the Nokia X2-01. You have to rename the file extension from DOC to jad; and from PNG to jar.

Alarms app that work when they aren't open?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I am looking for an alarm app I can use (besides Apple's) that works even when it isn't open and I am doing something else on the phone. Most apps I've seen only work when they are open, but I am looking for one that can work when it's closed. Thanks!

Try restoring your iPod via iTunes. First from backup and it the problem persists restore to factory defaults.
If still a problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it is likely that your have a hardware problem.
