Alarm Appears to be working now

Hi,
I am pleased to report that the Alarm appears to be functioning properly again…
So it looks like we had to wait for the 3rd January 2011 to roll around…

There seems to be a slight misunderstanding regarding Restart, Reset, Restore…
Unfortunately the misunderstanding comes from the assumption that one had already deleted old alarms… then recreated new alarms… and was still having problems…
If that were the case then the first step would be to try a Restart…
If that didn't resolve the issue then the next step would be to do a Reset…
If, unfortunately, the first 2 steps did not resolve the issue, then a Restore is in order… Firstly from a Backup ( so you don't lose data ) and then, if the problem persists, a Restore as New…

    Move the incompatible iPhoto version to the Trash, before you try to reinstall from the AppStore, but don't empty the Trash.

    The main idea is to move the iPhoto app to the Trash, so Spotlight does not see it as installed, reload the AppStore Purchases tab with ⌘R, and then to try to download again from the App Store - from your Purchases tab, not from the main page, since you can neither buy iPhoto nor update it, but you can reinstall, if your AppleID is associated with it.

    Downgrading the iOS is not supported. If you are using Safari this try clearing its cache via Settings > Safari.
    If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Anyone Running iTunes 4.9 Notice It's Not Working Now?  Any Help?

    I've just noticed that my version of iTunes 4.9 is "barely" working now (Saturday 2.3.07). It will do a search and sample play listed music found on a search, and also allow to purchase .... but that's it!
    I can't select any of the home page selection buttons, or albums shown ... everythings just dead. This along with both the up and down scroll bars, and horizontal scroll bars for the iTunes Store window.
    In other words just about EVERY selectable button or selection text on the pages is dead in iTunes 4.9 .... and this is even after quiting out and resatrting.
    What's happened to this version? It was worked great and fully functioning a few weeks ago.
    Any suggestions or info would be appreciated. Thanks

    on the left side scroll bar for the various play lists, and the lower box where song "search" results appear (I am able to use the scroll bar for the songs lists, but not the scroll bar above with the various "albums" shown (When I click on any above listed albums (from a song search), nothing happens .... while previously it would take me to just the songs in that album. Most of my iTunes music store pages are just "frozen" from my using any scroll bars, buttons, or text activated actions on the iTunes music store pages.
    I have tried "swapping" out the iTunes preferences in my user folder, but nothing different happens, except I would not even be connected to the iTunes Music Store anymore (kept getting box message saying the store was busy and to try back later). So I put in the old iTunes preferences and I'm back to "square one"!

    Hi all,
    My iMac mouse right click does not work now.  It was fine a couple of days ago. 
    Right click is definitely enabled, I have checked it several times.
    A Google search revealed that in Firefox it could be that I'm not using the latest version of Firebug.  I have auto updates on and Firebug is the latest version 1.11.3
    I use right click for correcting spell checked words, instead of a suggested correct spelling I get the 'open in a new tab' menu.
    In Firefox when I right click to open in a new tab I get the menu but it does nothing.
    It is driving me mad
    Any help will be greatly appreciated,

    I don't use Firefox so I can't test it, but it might be something to do with a preference setting. Have a look at this link (ignore all the instructions), just look at the image of the preferences, there appears to be a setting in Javascript preferences relating to contextual menus. Check to see what your settings are:

    Try this. Start up Itunes. Click on Home Movies Videos in the movies section. If you have a movie her, right button click and select "Get Info". On the options tab, change the media kind to movie and select OK. Your other movies will slowly start to appear!

  • PUSH NOTIFICATIONS CAUSE ALARM CLOCK TO NOT WORK?

    Beware: If you have push notifications turned on and you are using your iPhone's alarm clock as your personal morning alarm clock.. you could be in trouble sometime in the near future.
    I've noticed this happening with the AP app: If the AP app sends me a push notification during the night when I'm asleep and I don't happen to wake up and clear the push notification.. than when the time comes for my Alarm to go off at 4:45AM Mon-Fri... because the push notification is sitting 'in front' waiting to be cleared, the alarm doesn't actually go off until you clear out the push notification that is in front of it. This has caused me to be late for work twice before I realized what happened.. so until Apple provides a bug fix for this, I had to turn all push notifications OFF.
    Please fix this Apple!

    wow. that's a really interesting observation, CTU agent.
    i'm having a similar problem -- my alarms, which previously have worked flawlessly, have stopped working. realizing this, i opened alarm clock and saw that all 3 of them were all set to "off." i never did that, myself. but, ok.... so, i turned them all back on.
    today, one was supposed to go off at 3pm -- but it didn't. just now (7pm), i opened the alarm clock and noticed that the 3pm alarm was set to "off," again! but i hadn't even opened the clock app since turning them all on, yesterday.
    so, something, is causing them to turn off! your theory about push notifications is an interesting one. i'll see if this has any effect on my phone and report back.
    either way, this is painful, because i've come to rely upon the iphone for these alarms, since it's always with me. i don't want to have to start wearing a watch that has an alarm, just because the iphone's alarms have stopped working. i hope this issue is identified and fixed pronto.

  • Only preinstalled apps work now, how do I get to use my other apps again? I have 3GS with newest update but all of my itunes apps crash directly when I try to launch them. Reboot doesnt work, email wasnt loading before this issue so I reset now this.

    My phone is not jailbroken and I have had no problems until now. I updated the firmware a few weeks ago with no problem. I noticed yesterday I wasnt getting all of my emails because I get some of the same emails on multiple accounts and they were not showing up. The refresh pinwheel just kept spinning but I did not think much of the problem because there is not good service in the building and plus I hava a number from the east coast but since I'm on the West coast I get subpar service comparred with the local number people, is this true? Anyways I got home and my email would still not ever finish loading so I turned the phone off but it wouldnt turn off. After 15 miniutes the shutdown pinwheel just kept spinning so then I did a hard reboot and it quickly shut down. I started it back and my email works now but none of the apps from the app store work.

    Go to your App Store application and under the Featured section, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on you account.  Sign out of the account, then sign back in from the same section.  Download a free application (any free app should do the trick) and that should make all of your apps work again.

    Hello. I sent my WRT1900AC V1 to Linksys four days ago (Monday) via UPS with a RMA. Linksys paid the shipping and everything. The router is still in route, and it should arrive to their offices tomorrow. Once they receive the WRT1900 AC V1, they are going to send me an EA8500 as a replacement. But I have been reading the comments about the EA8500 here in the forum and it seems to have the same problems. I guess the firmware is extremely flawed in both routers (maybe it is almost the same code?). Anyway, I will try the EA8500 and I hope it works. I bought a temporary router from Walmart and I paid $35 for it. It is a Belink N600 DB. I can't believe that a $35 router is working a lot, lot, lot better than my previous $250 WRT1900AC router. Unbelievable. If the EA8500 doesn't work, I'm going to try and get my money back from Linksys, or contact The Consumerist or someone to get my money back and get a Nighthawk instead.
