Alarm Clock 2 not working, any suggestions? Help!

Hi everyone,
Alarm Clock 2 didn't wake me up this morning, I tested it, and it seems like the clock on the computer is going to sleep when the computer goes to sleep! Are there any free alarm clock programs out there that work with mountain lion?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Yes indeed ddanielsun is encountering  the same problem that led me to initiate this thread ... If you try to install any of the available 10.9.x from 10.6.8 the installer exits with an error "10.9 required for this update" ... seems strange that 10.9 is so very hard to find ! ! !

Clearly you can not update 10.9 if you do not have 10.9
It is very easy to find, it is in the App Store as the picture I posted earlier displays. Follow the same instructions. If you can't then use THIS LINK which will take you there.
The current version of 10.9 is 10.9.5 and that is what you will get.

  • My iPhone alarm clock is not working. Anyone else?

My iPhone alarm clock is not working. I have the latest software: 6.2.1. I set my alarm at 11:30 pm to go off at 12:30 am and 3:30 am, neither went off. I actually wok up right before 3:30, open up the clock app to see if my alarm was on and both the alarms were set to off. I have been having trouble with alarms similarly the last week or so.

    Hi Homer,
I would suggest a re-install of the iPhone to fix this issue.
Make sure to do a full backup of the iPhone before you do this otherwise you may lose some of your data

the return button on my macbook is not working, any suggestions?

By the way, if you are still interested, I found a solution. It's a bit crazy, but basically I have insulated the parts of the keyboard connector corresponding to the power button using some thin tape and then used a very thin wire going from the logicboard (where the test pads for startup are located) to my eject key, this way the original power button does not respond anymore and the eject key can be used as the power button, just like in the new Airs
I can provide photos if you want.

  • My external speakers are not working, any suggestions?

My external speakers are not working, any suggestions?

try different audio or USB cables.
try the speakers with a different computer.
go to the speaker manufacturer's website and see if there's some troubleshooting info or a new driver that you need.
check System Preferences > Sound > Output
see if the speakers show up in the sound output device list
make sure the mute box is unchecked.
Check Applications > Utilities > Audio Midi Setup
see if your speakers are selected in the column on the left
make sure the mute box is unchecked

  • Alarm Clock won't work. Please Help!

My alarm clock won't work. When I set it to the time and it goes off , the sound does not come on. Can someone please help me.

I have the same problem. The iPod is only a week old and the alarm worked on 30th of December, but today (1st of January) it has refused to work.
I've tried restarting the iPod, force quitting the clock, changing time zone and I've even tried setting an hour ahead & behind, in case the problem was connected with the daylight savings setting on my Mac.
The alarm won't work and I'm stumped!
Edit: just found this on another thread about this very subject...

  • So my home button stopped working due to water damage. I put it in the microwave(for real no joke) so the water can evaporate. 2 seconds in and the screen sparked blue and now its not working any suggestions on helping me fix it?

Please help me guys itll be a great help

Hey Peter, I think your missing the big picture. Your iPod is past repair, corrosion, is a real issue with water damage, but your problem took a turn for the worst when you attempted to use a microwave to dry it out. I see you found another post from July 2012, where someone else tried to nuke there iPod, and got the same results you have-- a dead iPod. The blue sparks, burnt smell and still not working all confirms one thing... Your iPod is not repairable. What the water didn't damage the microwave did. By attempting to microwave, you for all intensive purposes hit your iPod with an EMP, (Electro-Magnetic Pulse), in the first split second you overloaded the workings of your iPod and burned it up! There is is no way of known which circuits and components have been damaged and to what extend. You may be able to get a refurbished iPod, but it is unclear that Apple will allow it, because of the type of damage, it's not like this was an accident, you deliberately put it in the microwave in a misguided attempt to dry it out. when the microwave turned on it hit ever chip, diode, capacitor etc. with more power than it was designed to handle, in short; you baked it, burned it up, fried it, call it what you want, but it's not going to work! To attempt to repair is a meaningless gesture, (and probably will cost more than it's worth), chalk this one up as bad ideas 101-- learn from it, move on, and get yourself a new iPod. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

  • N82, sys ver 20.0.062: Alarm clock does not work o...

Anyone had this problem? Alarm just does not come up on "some" days .. Not sure why, but I regularly (once a week) notice that it just does not want to work sometimes, and restarting the system does not help.
Normally, when you set alarm, message pops up saying how many hours you have left till alarm.. And on some cases it does not, and alarm never happens when you want to to be (annoying if you setting alarm for work on Monday morning but it does not come up).
I've tried restarting phone, resetting all alarms, delete/create new alarms, nothing, n o t h i n g helps. The next day it suddenly starts working again..
I've carefully checked all settings (like, work days only, etc..)
but found nothing to explain this problem.

Unable to set weekly alarm for my nokia 5320, any idea..? once save the day turns to other day....
Als o sometime do experience the ringing become very very very very soft... and need a reset of the phone to make it normal... Nokia, what happen to the software/firmware... so far trying to update the version but no latest version for Nokia 5320...
    Pls assist... thanks thanks tahsnk...

  • Shift Command 3 Not Working, Any Suggestions?

Hello, My Shift, Command, 3 does not take a screen shots any more.  I tried to delete (com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist) and reboot but it did not work.  Im using OS10.8.5 on a Mid 2007 iMac. Also I bought this from my friend and I changed the Name of the iMac & Disk, But the "HOME" Still has my fiends name why is this? Can anyone help me here? Thanks!

The first thing you should do after acquiring a used computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.

  • Disk warrior not working - any suggestions?

I recently purchased a mac mini, to keep everything working smoothly I tried installing and running Disk Warrior, it wouldn't work so I called their help desk and was informed that Disk Warrior would not work because of its intel processor and they are currently working on a new version, does anyone have any suggestions for a utility software (one better than first aid) that can be run on a intel machine? Also, I tried drive genius and it's not wanting to cooperate either. thanks.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions !!!
    I agree wholeheartedly with Tim.
    Wait for Alsoft.
Also, if you could add to your computer specs that you have a
Intel Mac Mini, that would be very helpful to anyone trying to
help you down the road . . . The Intel macs are a whole new
ballgame, and people need to know that up front when responding
    to your questions.
    Thanks.
