Alarm Clock apps?!?!?!?!?!?

This is quite ridiculous. The clock app that comes with the iPhone has absolutely NO customization options whatsoever when it comes to alarms, and its just flat out lame. (Apple really outdone themselves to keep everything absolutely simple, they failed, as in functionality, on this criteria this time)
I went on to search for alarm clock apps on the app store and found this free version of Alarm Clock Pro and tried it out, I liked it a bit, it offered a bit of customization than the built in clock app the iPhone comes with. So I went on ahead and bought the Pro version for .99 because the ads on the free version were annoying.
But wait, you have to leave the alarm clock app opened throughout the whole night for it to work to wake you up in the morning? HUH?? WHATS GOING ON?? I always wake up to find that half of the battery from my iPhone is drained because of the alarm app!!!! Ridiculous! I previously owned an android phone and was able to quickly find a free alarm clock app on the market that offered even more customization and all for free, and you dont need to have the app opened for it to work!!
Someone please tell me there is something else for the iPhone that can be like that, while I already wasted .99 cents on the suppose BEST alarm clock app for the iPhone, I'm even willing to pay for a new alarm app that offers the same exact thing the android has to offer.

Unfortunately no alarm clock app will wake you up to a mp3 from your library when it's not open.
This is something Apple has not allowed. We tried to come up with a solution ourselves with our alarm app but as other developers realized it cant be done . We are still working on a solution though; not giving up!
Our app if interested is alarm app that wakes you up and speaks short weather reports to you http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sleep-fm/id388631053?mt=8#
cheers

  • Looking for a specific Iphone alarm clock app

    Hello,
I have been looking on the apple store for an app that I came across a while a go. It's an alarm clock app with a calculator for morning tasks, so it will ask the user how many tasks and how long each task is going to need, and then it will calculate the total time the user need in the morning. It also has an alarm clock to wake you up according to the time calculator. If you have 5 tasks:
    brush up ---------------------------10 min
    prepare breakfast----------------10 min
    eat breakfast-----------------------5 min
    read news---------------------------5 min
    driving to school--------------------40 min
the total time is 1 hr 10 min. Then you enter the time school starts, 8am for example. The alarm clock will wake the user up at 6:50am in the morning on that day.
Does anyone have this app and would like to share the name of the app with me? I have been desperately looking for it and regreted not saving it to my wishlist on the first time.
Many thanks to the apple community!!!

1password is FREE for a limited time, and it allows you to store login info and notes(you can use as journal) and then lock the application with a passcode. And lockbox does about the same thing, it's free too.

  • Trouble with Alarm Clock app

anyone out there use the Alarm Clock app? it looks great its easy to set up but mine didn't go off this morning (good job i had a back up!)
it says to set the alarm and leave it running in the background i did this but nada - nothing
anyone else have this problem and did you find a solution please?
    thanks!

Are you referring to the built in clock app that comes on the phone, or a 3rd party app from the app store?  I've had mixed results with anything other than the inbuilt clock app when it comes to alarms.

  • Is it safe for iPhone to run alarm clock app and be on all night, every night?

Is it safe for the screen to be on all night every night running an alarm clock app? Yes it is plugged in and charging.

I use the builtin alarm clock app all the time without any problems.
I don't plug the iPhone in because it appears to use very little battery while it is sleeping.

  • Is there a way to program my iphone so an alarm clock app starts up when I plug it in to my charger base?

it annoys me that I have to physically start the alarm clock app on my phone before plugging it in. Is there a way i can program the phone to understand that whenever it is on charge, the alarm clock app starts up. Either that or schedule the phone to open the alarm clock app after 11.59pm.

No. Please submit your feature request to Apple at this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback

  • Alarm Clock App Suggestion?

The alarm clock on the Droid 2 isn't working correctly. Or it's just my Droid 2 all together (which is likely). The problem I'm having is that in the morning, when I tap the screen or hit a side button to snooze, the screen freezes on the alarm and the scrolling button on the bottom to Dismiss the Alarm just sits there scrolling. When it freezes like this, no other alarms will go off on the phone.
Fixes I have tried: 1. taking the battery out - I have to do this every other day because my screen freezes during the course of the day. Hasn't fixed the alarm.
                                  2. Getting a new phone - this is the 5th Droid 2 I have had since October 2010, so this is not really the option I would like to take.
What I would like now, is a new alarm clock app. Does anyone know of a good/free app from the market?
    Thank you for any help.

When you turn the phone off it is just that, it is off. There can't be an alarm app that would work with the phone off.
If all you have running is the alarm clock you will only lose an insignificant amount of charge. Or you could leave it plugged in to the wall charger.

    Hello crucify_me,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Since this is occurring with a system application, I recommend restoring your iPhone to factory settings to see what could be causing the issue.

  • My macbook air is updated but now I can't download updates for My Alarm Clock, apps and iTunes.

My Mac will try to download the app to 100%, but then it tell me that it is unable to download. I have tried to turn off the firewall and restart. My itunes will not update My Alarm Clock or anything else.

(iTunes) iOS based apps (for iPhones, iPads, and the iPod touch) can be updated directly from the device.
Tap the App Store icon then tap Updates at the bottom of the display.
    For your Mac...
    -  Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
    -  Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type or copy/paste:    ~/LIbrary/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
    Type or copy/paste:    ~/Library/Cookies
Click Go then move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
    Type or copy/paste:    ~/Library/Preferences
Click Go then move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Try updating the My Alarm Clock app.

  • Any good alarm clock app

i am searching for a good alarm clock app to wake me up ...

  • Looking for an Alarm Clock app where you do math problems to turn it off

Someone told me of an application for the iPhone that is an alarm clock in which you can use a mode that, when the alarm sounds, you need to solve a math problem or other visual test in order to cease the alarm. That way the user is more awake by the time the alarm is stopped. Sounds annoying, yes, but would be just what I need.
Anyone know which alarm app this is? Or if it even exists?

There's another app that got a lot of press recently called *Proactive Sleep*.
It works similarly to the math app mentioned above but you do a 30 second visual game when you wake up. It also records your score as well as your sleep patterns and can give you recommendations and other feedback to improve your sleeping habits.
