Alarm clock on ipad/iphone

sometimes I will open my ipad alarm clock and notice that it is showing the day of the week as the wrong day, for instance, today Sunday was highllighted instead of Tuesday, meaning my alarm clock didn't go off for work.  The calendar does show the right day, and if I restart the ipad, the alarm clock will show the right day of the week again.  Anyone know why this might be?

Something weird is going on. Close all apps on the iPad and reset the device. See of that corrects this situation.
Closing apps in iOS 7 works like this. Drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that fails, reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. No data will be lost but all of the device settings must be needed again.

  • Any indicators for  3rd party Radio alarm clock docks and iPhone 5?

Has Apple created any guidelines for the iPhone 5 when using an older radio alarm clock dock, using the lightning to 30 pin adapter ? My iPad is no problem, but my iPhone 5 (when I have it in hand) might be. Any ideas?

  • Alarm clock on iPad turns off when I open cover:

Recently (the last 2 weeks) when I have an alarm on my iPad set to go off in the morning, this is what happens: I hear the alarm going off. I open the cover to hit snooze. In the past, when I opened the cover, I had the option of hitting snooze or ok. (Ok to turn off alarm clock alarm.). The odd thing that's been happening now is, when the alarm goes off, the minute I open the cover, the alarm stops. I can't hit snooze or OK, because opening the cover is triggering the alarm to turn off. I haven't changed any settings. No one else uses my iPad 2. It's not happening every day, just randomly. I have rebooted my iPad, but it still does it. (more often than not!). Thanks

music turns off when i open emails on my iphone 5s. How can I fix this?

  • Does the alarm clock drain the iPhone 4 battery?

My iPhone 4 battery drains overnight and I was wondering if the alarm clock has something to do with it. If this is not the case, is there a way to not have the battery drain overnight?
Please let me know of anything you know to conserve battery life as much as possible.
    _

Leaving it overnight without charging will use small amount of battery. Reason is that it is still connected to a 3G network which draws some power to maintain a good reception. Anything not in sleep mode will use some battery.
To conserve battery life as much, just keep it in the charger overnight. It will not harm the battery as when the phone is fully charged, the charging stops.
I normally keep my phone in my charger when I'm home, but when I go out somewhere I unplug it.

  • ILuv Alarm clock connect to Iphone 5

I have an ILuv Alarm clock and I purchased a lightning adapter but no music comes out when I plug it in.  Is there something else I need to purchase for my Iphone 5 to connect to the 30 pin on the ILuv?  I don't want to have to buy a new alarm clock.
    Thanks

  • How can I change the alarm clock sound on my iPhone

I can't figure out how to change the alarm sound on the Alarm Clock in my iPhone?  Anybody got an idea for me?

What's wrong with you? Oh, now that you realized you made a mistake and I didn't say "Alarming"? The app tited "Alarmed" is the first thing that pops up if you search the App Store using the search term "Alarmed". It is also the name of the app as it appears on the screen of my phone.  Oh, and the developer refers to it as "Alarmed" on his website. It may not have occured to you but, it is possible for more than one app to have the same name. Most of the people here are smart enough to figure out which one is the alarm clock by reading the description. But, we've already covered the reading comprehension thing,

  • Vibrating alarm clock on iPhone 4 did not go off

I set the alarm clock on the iphone to wake me in the morning.  I had it set to vibrate.  I happened to wake up a few minutes before the set time but the phone did not vibrate at the time it was set for.  There was just a notice saying the alarm happened.   But if I test the alarm and set it for a couple of minutes from now it will then work fine.  The sound plays and it vibrates.  I actually would prefer it didn't make any sound but then it doesn't vibrate either.  Weird.   Does the alarm clock get turned off when the phone sleeps?  Is it possible for it just to vibrate without sound?

open your clock app, tap edit, select the alarm you want to apply the sound or song to then tap sound. Any songs available in the preinstalled music application can be used along with any ringtones currently on your phone.

  • Iphone alarm clock didn't work this morning

I set a one-time alarm two days ago and it worked (it went off at 8:20am). This morning at 1:00am, I turned this alarm on again. But it didn't go off. So I did a test: set the alarm time to 10:00am and the alarm didn't go off. Fortunately, I used my wife's phone as a backup.
So the alarm problem is not fixed by itself (The claim by apple that it would be fixed automatically after Jan. 3rd is not true). It seems that this problem only happen during weekend?
The clock app on iphone is just a toy, don't count on it!!! Apple don't have any programmer to fix this problem or just don't care about the users. Apple is becoming another Microsoft.

Apple does care about this issue, the problem is being worked on.
For anything remotely important ALWAYS use a real alarm clock. Never depend on any cell phone for critical functions.
The alarm clock on my iPhone is working perfectly.

  • Does alarm clock drain down our iphones' batteries?

Well, I went to App store and looked for "alarm clock free for iphone." The results appeared are vary. But the question is I don't know if these apps would drain down our iphones' batteries due to the fact that we must run the app through the night in order to show the digital clock and let it wake you up in the morning. Please help me answer this question. Appreciate it!

I have used the phone ( and my BlackBerry in the past ) as a clock, with alarm when and if needed in this fashion for years. ( pretty much all my phones since Lithium ion batteries became the norm, in lieu of NiCad or NiMh ) .... Never had a problem and the original factory battery usually outlived the phone. Battery does get exercised with use in the day, and charge cycles ( the criterion specified for battery life) are significantly reduced.  I suspect one of the 'requirements' to run the battery wayyyyyy down has something to do with re calibrating  the battery gauge , but I personally have never had battery life issues with any phone ( maybe just pure luck, but ..... ). Also, here in the Caribbean, where power black outs aren't uncommon,  its nice to know your trusty cell is charged ....  When the power goes out, it may be 20 min or 4 hrs..... So if/when that happens , I turn off Bluetooth and wifi right away.  With modem & router unpowered, thus no wifi, it will help conserve battery by preventing phone from searching for a signal which ain't there :-)

  • Ihandy alarm clock pro no sound

I have used the ihandy alarm clock for a few years on my 3GS no problems.
It's great as you can set the alarm to your choice of music and give the phone a shake to snooze rather than push buttons
Since upgrading to an iphone 5 the alarm has failed to go off on three occasions... slept in once, wife's alarm got me off the hook the other twice
The first time I thought I had forgot the alarm or had the sound turned off. All other sounds on the phone were silent. A reset fixed things
The second time the display showed that the alarm was running but there was no sound. A reset was required to get any sound out of any application
On both occasions the sound button was set to on.
I wasn't able to reproduce the problem and neither was the person at the Apple store but they replaced the phone THANK YOU
That was a week ago and it has been fine till this morning... same problem, saved by my wife's alarm
There are a few posts about similar irrefular problems but no apparent conclusive solution
    Any ideas please?
    Thanks
    Peter

I've had the same problem with the iHandy alarm clock on my iPhone 4.  Sometimes the alarm works fine, but randomly (twice per month?) it will appear to be alarming, but with no sound.  Once that happens, there's no sound from any app, and I can only fix it by rebooting the phone.
I've tried checking the sound on the phone every night before going to sleep, but even that's not a reliable precaution.  One time the alarm sounded normally at the alarm time - I pressed snooze and went back to sleep - then the alarm failed to sound at the snooze time.
I switched back this week to the "12,24 Alarm Clock Sleep Music" app - it's an older app and doesn't have as many features as iHandy, but I haven't had reliability problems with it.
I wonder if iHandy's "background alarm" functionality somehow conflicts with the iOS?  The 12,24 clock doesn't have that feature, which is one of the reasons I switched to iHandy clock - but it's more important to have a reliable alarm.

    Hello there philp_69,
If I understand correctly it sounds like your phone hasnt been recognized in iTunes on your PC since the last couple of updates. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article which will walk you through the steps one by one.

iHome iD37 Dual Alarm Stereo Clock Radio for your iPad/iPhone/iPod with FM Preset Station Memory
