Alarm clock refuses to be set to AM

I just exchanged my 4th Gen iPod for a 5th Gen iPod because the alarm refused to be set to anytime in the AM no matter what I did. My brand new 5th Gen does the same thing. Does anyone else have this problem? For example, it is 6:19pm. If I try making a new alarm for 6:30am, I will enter that in and then hit back to view my recently created alarm and it is now showing that the alarm is set for 7:19pm. I don't know why this is happening.
If you guys don't mind, could you try setting an alarm for anytime AM and let me know what happens? Both of my iPods refuse to be set to AM.
Anyone else have this problem?

I HAD this problem with my Power Mac G5. The "before date" was different and my date and time were correct in the menu bar! The message appeared on December 16, 2011 and on January 16, 2012. Then on January 21 I pressed the button to turn the g5 on. The light came on then went out. SILENCE.  I tried again but NOTHING. I didn't do the SMU thing as I assumed it was the power supply which I had allready replaced once (in about 2007). I hope it wasn't just a battery, because I had the hard drive put in a cradle and am about to gut the G5 so I can use that beautiful case for something else! Did you ever figure it out?

Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

  • Alarm clock not working in iOS 7 with multiple alarms set.

I usually have two alarms set on my phone, both using the stock clock app.  One about an hour before I need to get up (so I can turn the heater on and crawl back under the covers), the other for the time I am supposed to get up.  The second alarm works just fine, but the fist one has not gone off for several days.  They are not recurring alarms because I need to change the time each day due to my work schedule.
The phone is *usually* in a speaker dock which is plugged into the wall, and works just fine for the purpose of playing my second alarm or any of my music.  When not in the dock, it is still plugged in to the charger but uses the built in speakers.
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know of a possible fix?
    iPhone model:  iPhone 5
iOS Version:  7.0.2 (will be updating to 7.0.3 when I return home from business on Nov. 1st)

Use IHome Sleep. It is great!! You don't need an IHome either!!

  • Any way to set snooze time on the Alarm Clock

The default snooze time on the Alarm Clock is 10 minutes. Any way to set it to 5 minutes?

No, but there's and App for That.  Try Garage Bank for iPad in the App Store.

  • Is it possible to set a new default ringtone for alarm clock?

Just wondering if it is possible to set a specific ringtone to all alarms in the alarm clock without changing each alarm individually?  My husband needs a MUCH louder alarm tone than the default.
    Thanks.

    Thank you for posting.
When you say "Is it possible to set a minimum sale amount for eCommerce - $20 for example?", are you saying the customer should not be able to check out if he has less than $20 in the shopping?
If so, then it is not possible. I've not seen such kind of custom set up in BC yet. However, I'll leave this post open. If any of our partners have done it before, they might be able to help you.

  • HT5463 If using Do Not Disturb feature, will the alarm clock still notify me if set to do so?

If I turn on Do Not Disturb, will my alarm clock on my phone still sound to wake me?

Remember, if you do try and test it as randers4 says, you will need to make sure you put the phone in sleep mode for DND to work. If you set an alarm, turn on DND and the phone is still awake, it would work since DND does not work with the phone awake. So, set the alarm, turn on DND, put the phone to sleep and see if the alarm goes off.

  • How do i set the alarm clock noise to my voice?

My room mate got an iPhone 4 and uses it as his primary alarm clock.  He has it set as some obnoxious warning noise but it doesn't wake him up for work.  When I open his door and yell at him, he gets up and turns it off.  So how do I set up his alarm noise as my voice so he will wake up?

I'd say get a new roommate.
Barring that, record your voice, create a ringtone with it and sync it to his phone.  Google for how to create ringtones... there are dozens of easy, free ways to do this.  There are also a few apps that do this.

  • After I set a repeating alarm clock to off, it goes back to on after a few seconds.

After I set a repeating alarm clock to off, it goes back to on after a few seconds. What is happening and how do I fix it? I have an iPod touch, 4th generation, iOS 5, no jailbreak whatsoever.

    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • Alarm clock volume should be an independent setting

I oversleept more than once, since i switched from blackberry to iphone, because the iphone "rings" muted, what makes completely no sence.
An alarm clock need a separate volume setting, independent on current volume settings for other apps and independend of if the phone ist muted.
Hopefully a apple guy will read this and they will fix this bug (in my opinion it IS a bug) someday...

    No, there is not.

  • Can you set a song to go on at a certain time like an alarm clock

  • Is there an app for the iPhone that allows you to syncronize alarm clocks or even set an alarm for you friend?

Is there an app for the iPhone that allows you to syncronize alarm clocks or even set an alarm for you friend?
Would appreciate if someone could help me with this. It doesn't have to be a free app.
    Thanks!

Since there is no "drafts" folder on an iPhone for SMS's, not sure how something like that would work anyway. You can always copy to the notes app, then paste back yourself.

  • Alarm Clock won't work. Please Help!

My alarm clock won't work. When I set it to the time and it goes off , the sound does not come on. Can someone please help me.

I have the same problem. The iPod is only a week old and the alarm worked on 30th of December, but today (1st of January) it has refused to work.
I've tried restarting the iPod, force quitting the clock, changing time zone and I've even tried setting an hour ahead & behind, in case the problem was connected with the daylight savings setting on my Mac.
The alarm won't work and I'm stumped!
Edit: just found this on another thread about this very subject...

  • How can I turn my Mac using iTunes into an alarm clock?

Here's my question: How can I turn my Mac, using iTunes, into an alarm clock?
I want to be able to put my Mac to sleep but have it set up so that when it wakes up at the predetermined time iTunes will open and start playing the music I've selected....
    A "musical alarm clock"...
A friend suggested using the Energy Saver option in Sys. Preferences to wake the computer at the right time. He said that then I could use iCal to start iTunes. I would then have to use an Apple Script to get iTunes to play the song I want.
But is there a SIMPLER way to do this? Are there any programs out there that do this already??
    Thanks for any help....

I recently got a copy of AlarmClock Pro from MacWorld UK. It is shareware, I think it is (USD?)19. I haven't had a chance to try it out much, but it does look quite good. I have an older version. The latest version looks even better.
I'm sure there's plenty of freeware apps out there. You might also want to try looking here for an applescript here Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes

  • Since I upgraded to the new iOS 7 operating system for my iphone, I can no longer adjust the volume on my alarm. No matter what setting the volume of my phone is my alarm is always full blast. Since I hate being startled awake, what can I do?

Go to your home screen, and then press the volume down or up button. It should say Ringer instead of volume. If it doesn't do that, try going into the clock app and try it there.

  • WINDOWS 8.1 ALARM CLOCK DOES NOT HAVE SOUND

WINDOWS 8.1 ALARM CLOCK/TIMER DOES NOT HAVE SOUND

    Hi:
    Works fine for me.
The machine need to be ON for the alarm to be heard & sound/speakers needs to On & Volume turned up to audible level.
Laptop can be in sleep mode but not powered off.
Try right clicking on the speaker icon. This should open a window that is titled "Sound". When you select the playback tab -> it will show icons of the audio devices you have connected to your computer.
You will need to select your stereo speaker device and then click the button "Set Default". This should enable your stereo speakers to play the sound.
