Alarm clock sometimes going off hour early.

I was under the impression that this alarm clock bug was only affecting people in other countries after daylight savings. However, it is happening to me in Chicago right now!
I noticed this yesterday when an alarm I use everyday, woke me up an hour early. it just did the same thing again today. I tried to "trick" it by setting an alarm this morning for an hour later, but strangly it went of at the time I actually set it for.
Anyone else having this problem in the USA?

Yes, since last weekend, an alarm is now going off an hour early every day. Hope you get an answer.

  • Alarm clock that goes off to music on your iTouch?

Is there an application that can do that?

i believe andy's right, it isn't possible due to the software at the moment.
and yes, BE PATIENT. world-wide user forums. people have to sleep/work/live, we don't sit here all day every day (and night) waiting for your post. people who have the answer to your solution might not happen to see your post within minutes. hey, maybe not within hours.

  • Alarms aren't going Off!!! WHY

I have set my alarms to many different times, i have over 10 alarms, half are on repeat, all with annoying sounds to wake me, my phone is on loud, with the volume at its highest level. I want to know why my alarms are not going off at the time i set it too. theyre all on, but are not working. this morning i was not woken up by my alarm and i was late dropping my nephew off to school. can you please tell me why it is not working, this isnt the first time it has happened. Is there a way to fix this problem?
    pplease let me know

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

  • My alarms aren't going off

    AT ALL.
Today was the third time it's happened. And I checked those alarms before I went to bed. They were ON, they were SET for the right times, and they were SET to play the right playlists.
But they didn't go off, and I ended up an hour late for work!
I set three alarms: 7.00am, 7.30am, and 7.45am. I need to set three alarms because I am an extremely deep sleeper, and after I turn off an alarm, I sometimes just nod off again. My iPod, connected to a Bose SoundDock, is the only thing in my home short of my home theater system capable of waking me up through sheer volume.
I have a 30GB black iPod Video, BTW.

Does the bose dock turns on by itself when the ipod turns on?
Or do you have to manually turn on the bose speakers for it to work?
If it automatically turns on the bose speakers when the ipod is turned on, then i have the solution. I have the logitech mm50, which turns on when I turn on the ipod.
All you have to do is make an extra clock in your ipod... go to extra > clock > new clock...
so the trick is this, for every time you want it to turn on, make 2 clocks... set the 1st alarm 1 minute earlier... example... you want to wake up at 7.00... make the 1st alarm to go off 6.59, and the second alarm 7.00... so the first alarm will turn on the speakers and the second alarm will turn on the music...
So if you want to set the alarm to 3 different time, then you need to make 6 clocks...
    Hope this help

  • Alarm clock activates 30 minutes too early

My iPhone 3G with iOS4 is activating the Alarm Clock 30 minutes before the correct time. This is happening when I have my time zone set to Caracas (GMT -4.5). When I set it to Miami the problem goes away.
    ideas???

Same has occurred with our CEO - in Sri Lanka (+5.5 hrs) his alarm goes off 30 minutes early but then in Dubai (+4 hrs) the problem goes away.
The iOS4 manual says: "Some carriers don’t support network time in all locations. If you’re traveling, iPhone alerts may not sound at the correct local time". This despite the fact the his date time automatically adjusted to local times in both locations just fine.
Possibly a bug with half hour time zones?

  • My iPod touch 3rd generation won't play on my iPod dock when the alarm I set goes off. It plays normally and charges, but it won't work with the alarm. Could it be the iPod dock or my iPod?

My iPod touch just recently started doing this: I plug it in to my Sony iPod dock/alarm clock/radio. It charges fine and plays music fine, but when I set the alarm for it to go off, it doesn't go off. I can see that the dock is indicating that the alarm is going off, but the iPod isn't playing music. Could it be my iPod or the dock?
Also, there were 2 times when I plugged in my iPod to charge (once with a wall charger and once with the dock) and it said that it was fully charged. But it wasn't fully charged. I bought one of those iPod wall chargers from Target. It's not an Apple charger, but it is for iPods. Could it be that?
I'm going to try to reset my iPod and see if that helps any.

I have contacted apple support and Bose support.  When I have heard back will post for everyone.  I do encourage everyone to contact both companies until we get an answer to hopefully solve this issue.  The more people who contact them about the issue, maybe the better chance they will help fix the issue.

  • My iPhone alarm is not going off.

Ok, so... Several mornings in a row my iPhone alarm has behaved very strangely. If I set it for 7:30, with the "crickets" sound, both occasions I've woken up at 8:00, a half hour late. When I wake up, there are no crickets sounding. Strangely, when I look at my phone there is the interface on the screen that offers to allow me to "Snooze". That, to me, indicates that the alarm has triggered. I just don't get the sound.
I've used the crickets sound for at least a year now. My traditional experience has been that when the crickets start chirping, the generally chirp forever until I tell them to stop. I've even come home to them chirping because I forgot an alarm I set. So... what's up?
Also, no... the headphones are not it. And, the silent toggle is not on (not that it should matter - the alarm goes off even with silent on).

Also I should mention that Apple said it is a hardware issue, but a software issue.

  • No alarm set, but goes off at 7am on random days.

    Hi all.
After updating to ios6 the alarm on my 4s has started going off at 7am on random days.  It can be 3 or 4 days in a row, or nothing for a week, but it's always at 7am.
When it goes off there is nothing appearing in the lock or home screens to let me switch it off, and I have to switch the phone off completely.
I have alarms set for 7.20 and 7.30, which go off as normal.
There is nothing in my calendar for the days it goes off.
It's driving me and my wife insane!
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    I suspect it's supernatural.

  • HT201401 I set the alarm and it goes off without any sound!  What happened? I can't figure it out.

My iphone alarm goes off but without any sound, how do I fix this?

Looks like there might be a little circular door on the back that you screw off to get access to the button battery

  • 3g iPhone alarms not working - going off at odd times, despite turning off/on and reset...

Hello, My ancient - i.e. more than one year old - 3g iPhone has been affected - again - by Britain fiddling about with timezones. Having had all the weekly set alarms go off at 3am etc and other annoying times, I removed all 16 alarms, turned the 3G off, turned it on again, looked at the time zone, and reset that, just for fun (London, England) and then input all the alarms again... still going off at the wrong time. Any ideas? Thank you.

Oh apologies, I am currently in the United Arab Emirates and my carrier is Etisalat. I have called them and they gave me the reset network and the airplane mode fixes which i have tried multiple times and have not worked

  • My alarm isn't going off in iOS 6. Anybody else? Any fix?

I have had at least 2 occurances where my alarm has failed to go off in the morning. Anybody else have this problem?

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not appear to pertain to. You'll have better luck posting to either the Using iPhone or Using iPad forum.

  • My sound sometimes goes off completely - possibly after computer wakes up.

The problem is that the sound sometimes seems to turn itself off completely, through speakers and headphone socket, with no system sounds. My iTunes etc. will play, but no sound.
I previously thought that sometimes it happened after turning the computer on, but now I'm noticing it happens sometimes after my computer has been asleep, and a restart is required to get the sound back.
Any ideas if it is a sound card issue, or software? A known problem?
    Thanks

I have the same problem on my g5. In my case it started after my wife had an "over-zealous" plant watering incident that drenched the entire machine and I actually had to turn it upside down to dump water out. It is intermittent like you say, and a restart always fixes it. I have noticed though that when using the volume keys to turn up the volume when this happens, that the icon is different to somehow indicate there is no sound.

  • Alarm is not going off every morning

I have set my alarm and it doesn't go off in the morning...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this same problem, and believe I have your solution (at least it works for me!):
    1) Make sure your alarm is set to repeat, ie: MTWTF or whatever days you want the alarm to run.
    2) Click on "Menu", "Settings", and make sure your "Alarm in silent mode" is checked and alarm volume is set all the way to the right.
    3) If your alarm is still not working, exit the alarm function, and go to standard "Settings", "Sound and Display", "Ringer Volume". Make sure ringer volume is all the way to the right.
    4) Set your secondary alarm for 5 minutes from now to test.
I have found that in using my phone during the day, my fingers hit the up and down volume buttons on the side and turn the volume down too low for me to hear while I'm asleep. I check every night!
    Hope this helps!

  • E55 camera flash goes off too early

Just discovered this so I imagine it's developed a fault, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else has the same problem. When I take a picture with flash, the flash fires before the camera shutter opens so the picture comes out dark. Any suggestions, please, or shall I just carry another camera?

    Hi mindmagic,
Sorry to hear about the issue. Please make a backup with Nokia Suite. Then reinstall the phone software. The process is the same as when updating with Nokia Suite, but at the end select "Reinstall".
You can also type in *#7780# followed by lock code (default is 12345). This is soft reset, no data lost. The settings will be restored to factory state.
    Hope this helps!

  • Calendar appointments blocking my alarm clock alerts

    Hey all,
Have imported my Outlook calendar appointments into iPhone so have tons of appointments (and their associated reminder alerts) in my iPhone calendar. It seems as though if an appointment reminder alert goes off when I'm asleep in the middle of the night, the reminder alert is actually preventing my iPhone alarm clock from going off the next morning.
After having missed a few morning appointments because of this, I noticted that upon unlocking my iPhone the next morning, the alarm would THEN go off, even if this was literally hours after it was supposed to ring.
Any ideas as to how to prevent this? Other than literally deleting every appointment out of my iPhone calendar going forward, can't seem to figure out how to prevent this from happening again. Thx in advance for any help.
    -Jose

Nice to know I'm not the only one! This just happened to me this morning and I thought it was wierd too. Make sure you submit a bug report to get Apple's attention on this, it needs to be fixed.
