Not really sure what you mean, you are able to set the alarm but you can't snooze? Or are you not able to set the alarm at all?

IPod Classic alarm doesn't work

I've used the alarm successfully on my old iPod Classic 60GB, now on the new iPod Classic 160GB it doesn't work anymore (I tried every option I could think of (with & without headphones, while keeping it on/off, etc., even enabling the clicker sound which seems to be the solution on iPhones, even after a full restore etc., etc., etc.)… but there seems to be a solution because I found this message:
a certain user "jaz271", had a similar problem, then added "Sorted" but doesN'T TELL HOW… what the use of putting such messages if there is not even a single way to contact the author?

PS: Also bizarre: the function on the old iPod Classic (60GB) vanished since the latest update. SO no more alarm on Ipod Classic 60GB.

I had the same problem -- alarm doesn't work on iPod Classic 160 GB, meaning I can't use it to listen to music to put me to sleep since the headphones block out any external alarm. I assumed it was something I'd done wrong, but viewing this and an even earlier (2007) thread, it looks like an Apple bug that hasn't been fixed in five years. APPLE PLEASE HELP! This is not what we expect from you.

Iphone alarm doesn't work when the phone is charging but works fine when it is not plugged in, any reason for this?

Recently my alarm hasn't been going off on my phone when it is plugged into the charger. This is a problem as i have work most mornings and have been late. When it is not plugged in the alarm works. I know it would mae sense to charge it before i go to sleep, take it off the charger, set the alarm then wake up but was just wondering if there was any reason why I might be experiencing this issue?

This is something peculiar, normally that doesn't work that way
when did this happen? if it just happened, then something probably went wrong with either the software or the hardware
do charge the proper way, and see if it happens again
or try completely draining the battery, and charge it to 100% and see if its gonna solve the issue with the alarm

Clock alarm doesn't work on IPhone 4

Hi guys, I find out that if I set clock alarm on my IPhone 4 and switched off the alarm didn't work, that's a shame becouse all my old phones work perfectly if I switched off them. Any one know solution for it, apart to keep the phone in stay by? Chees

I fixed my powerbutton easily with some
water repellent oil. I dont know what its called, it is that thing you use for locks and hinges anyway. My iphone powerbutton has been working for like 7 months now. There is no difference from when it was new! I can really recomend this. Just remember to turn of the phone and have it upside down when you spray. And dont use to much! Theres no need for more than a few drops.

MSI K8N SLI Platinum: Resume by RTC Alarm doesn't work :(

I would like to make my computer boot at the concrete time everyday. I had such a possibility on my previous system. So I thought that setting this in BIOS will work but it doesn't :(
Well it works but not everyday. But let me tell the whole story. Lets suppose that I want my computer to start at 10 o'clock everyday.
So I go to BIOS and set the following things:
Power Managment Setup ->
Wake Up Event Setup ->
Resume by RTC Alarm [Enabled]
Date 0 (because setting anything else would make it starting only at the concrete day of the month -- right? And this is definately not the thing we want...]
HH:MM:SS 10:00:00
Lets say that when I set that up it was 11 o'clock. So the day passes and the next day machine starts up at 10. Great! I use my computer for couple of hours, turn it off (from the operating system) another day passes and then at 10 o'clock computer doesn't wake up. :(
What am I doing wrong?
I am using BIOS version 3.6 (update date 2005-07-22).

Near as I can recall offhand, replacing the optical drive shouldn't have involved disconnecting any of the video cables (and given that you're still around, you weren't electrocuted by accidentally hitting any of the hot analog/video connectors ); the only thing that comes to mind is to again carefully disassemble the eMac and double check that the internal connectors are fully seated. You can refer to the links at the end of Apple eMac Upgrade Guide (where that site says "very slow downloads", it's not kidding).

Iphone 5 reminders alarm doesn't work

The alarm for my reminders app on my iphone 5 no longer works. I'll put in a date and time and save it, but then on my reminders list it just goes away. How can I get it back?

To further reinforce the point made clear by @hsavage06, I have found that it is better to keep only one "Reminders" list and that that list should always be in iCloud.
I had two lists, my ICloud and and another one. And my problem was that I did not realize that my other list was by default.
It wouldn't keep Reminders Alarms !!!
When I switched (and subsequently erased the old list), everything went smooth because all the list and parameters were only in iCloud.
SO YES GUYS : KEEP EVERYTHING IN ICLOUD
ps: Apple must certainly have a problem with other lists that are not in iCloud though... ;-p

Run Script alarm doesn't work when iCal closed

I have an applescript to remind me to run a maintenance application once a week. I've set a "Run Script" alarm for a weekly event in iCal... But the script ONLY executes if iCal is open!
If iCal is closed I get the message:
"An AppleScript event alarm did not execute properly. The script "run_maintenance.scrpt" that was assigned to the event "maintenance" did not open or did not finish running."
Then, when I then open iCal, the applescript executes.
How can I get the script to run when iCal is closed, just like a normal alarm?
By the way, the applescript is quite straightforward, with a dialog and finder instruction to activate the maintenance program. It runs fine manually (& as I say, if iCal is already open).

Found the problem: The run_maintenance script couldn't be completed without user action (because of the dialogue), so was giving iCal an error.
Solution: I've set another script that simply launches the run_maintenance script as the alarm.
So there are 4 players in this daisy chain: iCal, a script to launch the reminder script, the reminder script, and Maintenance!
Inelegant, but it works.

Delaying iCal Alarm doesn't work

Say you put something on the calendar for June 24th and set a '1 day before' alarm. The alarm pops up the day before as you would expect and you snooze it to 2 hours before the appointment. Well, the second alarm never pops up.
Has anyone else seen this?

iCal Alarm re-scheduling feature behave the same way on my Mac.
In fact, when you ask an alarm reminder at, say, 1 hour before the appointment, the alarm is re-scheduled, but 1 hour BEFORE the CURRENT TIME (in the past!!!!) instead of 1 hour before the appointment.

Alarm doesn't work

My alarm will turn off befor it rings.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

The sound quit working on my iPhone 4s.... any suggestions? I can't play music, my alarm doesn't work, no sounds work!!!!!! Ugh it is less than 2 months old!!!

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you've been through ALL of these steps and you still have problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

Did you check the switch on the side, next to the volume controls? Is it set to turn off the sound in Settings/General/Side switch?
Can you hear sound if you change the settings for your ringtone for example?

Xperia M4 flashlight doesn't work!

Hi Volendrug, welcome to the community!
Have you tried clearing the cache or data for the Flashlight app? If not please try this by going into Settings > Apps > All > Flashlight > tap Clear cache > test Flashlight > if doesn't work > go back and tap Clear data > test Flashlight.

[E61i] Alarm-Clock / buzzer / timer doesn't work anymore
Hey there, I use an E61i with the newest firmware and since some months ago (it seems ~the installation of the new firmware) my alarm clock sounds goes off, but not hearable. It's not loud, it is almost not even hearable if you're near to it.
All my other sounds work just fine, call rings, sms notification, ringtones, music, all fine.
But just the alarm clock doesn't work.
I checked ALL options at least twice, I tried to change almost every option and made several test rounds concerning the alarm clock. I just don't know what happened, why it happened and how I can repair it.
I can provide you with more information, what do you need?

Sony Xperia z1 sound on the left doesn't work

Hello everybody,
I have a problem with my sony xperia z1.
On the left side the sound doesn't work anymore.
I don't know if I put it out accidentally or if there's something broken.
It is only with headphones.
The right side just gives normal sound but the left side is completely shut off.
If I just listen on the speaker there is no problem.
