Alarm in beep mode

I tried to set my alarm last night and discovered the "beep" function only works when the "clicker" is turned on. It also only beeps once, not reliable enough to wake me up. Maybe apple will change this with the next software update.

Yeah... it's not very functional as is for me either.

Z10, Alarm and Bedside Mode

Now I've been under the impression that unlike former Blackberry phones the Z10 uses it's Bedside Mode so you can use the Alarm, however I have the problem that the phone despite being in Bedside Mode will turn itself off during the night and thus I don't even hear the alarm. Only reason I've even woken up is my old phone's alarm. So is there something I'm missing or is my phone just messed up?

Z10 Alarm doesn't work when phone is turned off, so I put my phone into bedside mode to charge it overnight. However network provider (so I was told today by mine) push network updates out overnight. Could this cause your phone to reboot etc?
Anyway, if you dont apply the updates your Z10 will slow pushing emails, pulling browser pages, drop calls. If your phone is left on, even in bedside mode, then they wont be received/ applied.
ST options are get a separate alarm or leave Z10 on but (periodically, in the morning) remove battery and SIM, wait, put both back in (Z10 SIM "re-finds" the network, identifies and pulls the required network updates). Did it just now and Z10 a lot happier (probably result in more efficient battery usage also!).
A colleague has an iphone and noted the alarm comes on even when the phone is fully turned off overnight. Time to think about fixing this bug BB - negates the "benefit" of bedside mode cant have phone not performing well because of something like this?

IPhone alarm in lost mode

I left my phone at work and it has alarms set for tonight and tomorrow. I thought I'd set it in lost mode to stop them from going off and disturbing my coworkers. Will this work?

My understanding is that changing the password does not prevent Find My iPhone from continuing to work with the account. However, they may have forced it into recovery mode and restored it. This would have erased it and rendered it unable to be tracked, but it could not be reactivated and used.

KT4V Shutdown with Alarm (not beep)

I put in a new MB (KT4V) and after about a half an hour, the machine suddenly shuts down and an alarm (not a beep) sounds endlessly (until case is unplugged). What is with this? Is this the Continous Beeps (Video or Memory failure)?

I only got it to boot 1 time.. i keep getting this stinking alarm, replaced the power supply, etc.. there is NOTHING wrong with fans powersupply etc.. the autoshutdown "feature" should be removed or at least we should be able to jumper around it!! I am boxing this MB up ab buying a new ((NON MSI) tomorrow

False alarming for Archive mode status

Hi Friends,
In one of our development system(DB node) we are getting alerts as 'the Archive mode is in OFF state', but when i checked in DB level I can able to see the state as ON. Don't know what the problem is? Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?

Please check the output of below command
SQL> SELECT LOG_MODE FROM V$DATABASE;
=> Output should be "NOARCHIVELOG"
SQL> ARCHIVE LOG LIST
=> output should have "DISABLED" under Automatic archival.

Hello,my iMac is giving of 3 alarm type beeps when i switch it on.the screen stays off and so is unusable.the alarm type noise continues until i switch off..any ideas please ?

It's not a daft question . Feel free to ask about anything iMac-related and you're bound to get help on here.
What Mac do you have and how much RAM. You could try reseating the chips, or if you have enough RAM try pulling chips out and testing via a process of elimination.

IPod classic alarm doesn't 'beep'

manual reads
"Choose a sound Choose Tones or a playlist. If you choose Tones, select Beep to hear the alarm through the internal speaker. If you choose a playlist,
you’ll need to connect iPod classic to speakers or headphones to
hear the alarm."
I select Tones, then Beep, and the iPod comes on with a notification when the alarm time comes up, but no 'beep'.

Anyone else having this problem?

A restore (with upgrade to firmware 1.0.2) fixed the problem.
One note, I had used carbon copy cloner to backup my ipod first, but upon restoring my backup, the alarm stopped beeping).
Restored again, and manually copied my music and files, and all is good.

Alarm is not silent in silent mode

Hi,
I have a z3 Compact. After I updated it to 5.01, when I setup an alarm, it ring in silent mode. Does silent mode means keep silent? Are there any solution?
Note: There is no "Alarm in silent mode" option anymore after updated.

I never got my alarms on SW3 and actually I'm happy it doesn't
It takes me like a couple of snoozes to wake up, that's why I set my alarms 30 minutes earlier than normal. If the watch was taking alarms its battery would completely be drained by the time I wake up!
On another note: Setting your SW3 to silent will set the phone with it. I have a mixed feeling about this. As I needed an option to silence notifications on my watch but not he phone, I think that the new theatre mode does this partially. In the meanwhile, it's still usefull to put ur phone to silent mode without getting it out of your pocket in a meeting or so.

IMac suddenly sounds alarm.

My iMac 21" (model 11.2/ 3.6GHz/ IntelCore i5/ system: 10.6.8) suddenly sounds off a loud alarm from standby/sleep mode.
I have searched the net and the alarm sounds like a RAM integrety-test alarm: 3 beeps and a 5 sec. pause etc.) The computer shuts down, but I can restart without any problems.
I have run a hardware-test from my dvd to check the RAM, but no error was found. (I ran both the normal and the advanced test)
The computer is still under the warranty period, but I was told that it does not cover for software errors
Does anybody have an idea as to what this could mean and how I should proceed?
Any help is grately appreciated :·)

This just happened today at my wifes office with her 21inch Imac i5. One of the girls was working and then all of the sudden the alarm as you describe it started. And starts back up upon a reboot as well?
Could this be a hardware / fan failure?

Nokia 5800XM - Alarm snooze - how to cancel snooze...

Hello all,
Im solving little bit annoying alarm feature in my phone. Imagine that you have alarm set as DAILY at 6 in the morning. In the morning I snooze the alarm after first ringing by sliding the bar snooze. In alarm settings, there is a comment that alarm is "delayed to 6:10" (because of my 10minute setting).
The question is, how to remove this snoozed alarm without waiting to 6:10 ? If you choose deactivate alarm, then you have absolutely deactivated your daily alarm, after activating back it is still snoozed to 6:10. The only option is
a) wait until it starts ringing and choose STOP
b) delete snoozed alarm and set the new alarm with 6:00 and daily repeating
Does anyone know how to solve this problem??? How to quickly say to alarm: Cancel snoozing mode and turn back into normal settings ?

Your question is very valid and I can understand the issue. Even I'm facing the same issue with the latest phone of Nokia C7. The requirement is very simple and obvious.
Most of the people on this thread haven''t understood the problem correctly.
Even a simple alarm clocks and basic phones do have such a feature. The lack of facility to come out of snooze loop anytime shows the stupidity of the application engineers of Nokia/Symbian.

Alarm improvements

I'm annoyed that the iPhone is not as easy to manage as my old Nokia Communicator in relation to alarms and silent mode. The hard switch for silent is great but I always forget to turn it back on in the morning. My communicator could simply be set each morning to come on at a pre-set time. Why can't I do this on the iPhone? Also the vibrate mode is too loud. I should also have more flexibility with an "airplane" mode type option which can be pre-set to turn off at a particular time. Even better if I could set up a profile type option to turn silent - and airplane mode on - and turn both off at a pre-set time next morning it would be even better.

I would like to turn off the CAUT ALM (caution alarm) feature

Does anyone know how to turn off the alarm that beep three times when you turn off the car to remind you to take off the face plate? I don't want to take off the face plate, and the beeping is driving me crazy! The manual say you can turn it off by setting CAUT ALM to OFF, but there is no CAUT ALM option in my settings. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I have Sony model MEX-GS600BT.

Continuous Beep sound on UCS c220

Hi Guys,
We just got a new UCS c220 server, we were deploying Esxi on it and all of a sudden it started alarming a beep sound and it is continuous, there are no logs generated either CIMC nor the led indications, what might be the possible reason, an inputs would be helpful, thnx in advance

As Dan stated, it might be an issue with your RAID. In the past, I have experienced similar beeping when there was an issue with the RAID group. Except for the LSI controller, I'm not aware of any other componentt that would continuously beep on the server during operation

Wake-up morning alarm

Hi,
I want to set up my morning alarm in vibrate mode, so that I do not disturb other family members. With my current setting, I receive phone call in vibrate mode, but the morning alarm is loud.... Also can I set up different time alarms for weekdays & weekends?

You can place your device in Vibrate Mode but the Alarm is usally set to override that vibrate and sound anyway, since most people want sound for an Alarm.
So, here is one thing you cando:
Leave your device in normal Profile mode.
Now edit that Normal profile mode and edit the Calendar Alerts.
Set the Calendar Alerts to vibrate, and no sound.
Now, instead of of using the Alarm, to awake you in the morning, you will set a Calendar event to awake you each morning, and you can set that to repeat daily at the same time.
And, as you asked, now you can set multiple alarms in the calendar.
See if that works for you, and post back and let me know.

IPod Beeps When Charging

My ipod touch started beeping tonight while it was charging in the iHome dock, and I was just wondering if the beeping sound is normal, and also does it stop when the ipod is charged?

The iPod beeps when:
-It connects to ANY dock.
-It is disconnected from ANY dock.
-It is alerting you of a timer/appointment/alarm.
Beeping for any other reason (without you doing it), is bad.
