The Full Access permission allows a user to open the mailbox as well as create and modify items in
it. The Send As permission allows anyone other than the mailbox owner to send email from this shared mailbox. Both permissions are required for successful shared mailbox operation.

Outgoing mail - cannot send just stopped one day
I hope this has not been asked and answered (which I'm quite certain it has). I have a business cox mail account and Yahoo plus and cannot send emails. But I can receive incoming. I deleted both accounts and put set them up again and the same issues keeps happening. In fact Yahoo is an automatic set up with mail. I am quite frustrated. Mail remains in my outbox and I get no messages regarding how or why they are not sent. They just sit there. Can anyone offer assistance? Thank you

No. Get used to it. It's called progress. No offense, but generally I get the impression that you are looking for something that nobody realyl will be able to help you with. If your whole workflow is based on outdated trial versions (and that includes your old AutoCAD), it begins to smell like you have done that for a while now and only now it doesn't work and then we are quickly approaching the sign that says "Piracy town, next crossing left". Either that, ore you are stuck with a 10 year old computer, in which case you will have to straighten out that first.

I cannot select more than one message at a time to delete from the trash. I did not have this problem before I updated to Maverick. What am I doing wrong?
This works in many different ways and in lots of apps.
Hold down the command key and you can select from a list (leaving some not checked) to exclude them from the delete process.
To empty all of the trash folder use command-a keys to "select all" and then the delete key to remove them. -
How do I stop calendar from setting a second alert one day before?
I have iOS 7.0.6 with calendar synced to my gmail account with CalDAV. When I create a new event in the calendar on my iphone, I set either a single alert or none. When I check back a few seconds later, the alert I set has become the "second alert," and the first alert is set to "one day before." Google calendar correctly shows a single alert, the one I set. If I then delete the first alert, it stays deleted. But then if I edit the even in google calendar, the "one day before" alert reappears on the iPhone. (Though still not on Google calendar.)
It's driving me batty with all of these false alarms that are actually for tomorrow's activities. Is there a way to set alarms in iOS 7, or is that just a sacrifice we have to put up with to fix the iOS SSL bug? Should I set the current date in my iPhone to be one day late?Settings > Mail Contacts, Calendars.
Scroll down to Calendars and this sets default alert times.
If you add an alert to a new appt, it is in addition to the default alert time.
Either turn off default alert time or set the default alert time to when you want you want & don't add alert to the event when you create it -
Cannot reference this before supertype constructor has been called
I'm confused. I would like it easier for a user to use a class where one item can be determined from another, but I'm having a problem with the constructors.
First, one constructor that works fine:

The problem is with this one:

It'd be a lot easier to have this collectEdges() method in this single place than in any class that's using this one.You HAVE to call the super constructor before you do anything else in the constructor. You can make calls to this but the final constructor to be executed has to make the super call. I am assuming you are subclassing something here because this should not show up as an error if there is a default constuctor. The reson for this is that a subclass is built on top of its parent classes meaning it can access information in them methods in them etc. Even in the constrcutor it can do this so the super class MUST be created before the subclass.

2 HP laptops appear to be connected...cannot download updates to one while the other is on
Hello...I am stumped.I have 2 hp laptops (one is an envy ts m7 and the other is a hp stream), both are currently running windows 8.1. I recently movedand since the move it seems that the laptops are connected, as in I cannot seem to use one while I am also using the other. I do not remember this being an issue before my move. I was having difficulty connecting to the internet at the same time, however that seems to have resolved after some updates installed. I did look up my IP address and both laptops seem to have the same IP address (but I did not get an error saying that there was a conflict...my printer however does give me an error saying that another computer is connected). The whole reason that this issue came to my attention is because I have been trying to get the windows 10 update. I was using my hp stream and got a notification that it was ready. I started installing it and decided to check my envy to see if it too was ready (i requested the update on the envy first). The update was not there on the envy, but i did have some other updates waiting. I got an error saying that other updates were installing...ie on the stream. I checked the update history and it gives me a sequence of updates from both the envy and the stream as if they were installed on the same computer. I concerned that this will interfere with my update to windows 10 on my envy (the envy is my main computer), because it will think I have already installed it. It is also annoying not be able to use both laptops at the same time. As a side note, we decided to purchase our own router/modem (instead of renting one through our cable company) I did a search on this topic here on the forum and found a few similar things, so I tried to release/renew my ip address on one of the laptops, but that did not change the ip address at all. I also tried to log in to my windows account thinking that they were connected through that, but it has no other devices listed in my account. Thank you for your help!!

Some of the birthdays I have entered in Address book appear in my Ical one day and one year earlier than the date I have given. Eg. I have entered a birthday in Address book as 23 March 2011 and it appears in Ical as being on 22 March 2010. Other names have no problems. There are only some that do not appear with the correct date and year. Why is this? Has anyone found how to correct this strange problem? I have Time Zones ticked.
Bronze2011I'm having this exact same problem, but it's doing it with a bunch of birthdays. I also did 0001 when I didn't know the birth year, so I went back and did a more current year, but they still aren't showing up where they should be...or at all. It's completely bizarre.

Cannot open more than one window with Firefox
I've been having this problem for a couple of weeks, now, and I've run out of ways to try and fix this.
One day, after starting my computer up, I opened Firefox. No big deal, everything looks fine, tabs are working, etc. Then, when I went to open a second window, nothing. The first window still works fine, I can open tab upon tab, but it just won't open any more windows.
As much as I'm a fan of the browser tabs, I still prefer to have them spread out over more than one window.
I've read through a ton of different troubleshooting walkthroughs and whatnot, reinstalled three or four times, restored settings, but nothing works.
Well, not entirely, I guess. Here's the part that I can't quite figure out. When I disable every single addon, Firefox works just fine. I've done the checking down the list, trying to single one out, but it's *any* addon. Even something as simple as a dictionary search ([https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/68/]) causes this to happen.
I've checked with an older computer with an older version of Firefox, and it still seems to work fine with addons enabled, so I'm wondering if this is an update issue?
Would reverting back to a previous version of Firefox solve this, and if so, where would I be able to find downloads for a previous version?
So, like I said, I'm at a bit of a loss here. Sort of at a crossroads for trying to figure out what to try next, so I'm hoping someone a bit more knowledgeable can help steer me in a direction.

I need to set up an image viewing program (Olyvia) to allow students using Macs and iPads access to this windows only application in order for them to get their work done. We may have 12 or more students accessing and trying to run the Olyvia application
at any one time.
All works good, except that I cannot run the Olyvia application (setup as a remoteapp program) more than one instance at a time. That is, when I start up "olyvia" on a Mac, it works great. If I leave it up and running, and then try
and start up "olyvia" on an iPad (using different accounts), I get the following error message:
"Cannot run more than one instance of this program simultaneously. Either the program is already running, or it has not been terminated completely."
I need to understand the root issue.
1. Is this a licensing issue? So, I need to add some CALs to the RDS server?
2. Is this a application issue with "olyvia"? So, no matter what I do, it is not going to be able to be used by more than one person at a time when configured as a remoteapp?
3. Did I not "publish" the application correctly?
4. Is this happening because I followed the "quick start" guide?
Appreciate any help I can get on this. We have no problem getting CALs, I just need some help with the root issue.

Each application uses different techniques for determining if multiple instances are running. If you can determine what method it is using then perhaps you could use App-V or other virtualization software.
In the best case you really should direct your question to the maker of Olyvia. The reason I said that is they specifically designed their software to prevent multiple instances, so the first question is, why? Is it related to Licensing?
Compatibility? If you knew the specific reason(s) why they are doing it and the technique used then at the point using a virtualization technique may be the best option.

Some web pages did not load correctly. (on Imac). Deleted Firefox and moved Profile to another drive to backup.
Downloaded new Firefox. When I try to install, I keep getting this message-"A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time."
I went in and searched for all occurrences of Firefox or Mozilla and deleted.
It will still not load.I cannot get Firefox to run now. I backed up my Profile to another drive. Cannot create a new one as Firefox will not run. It says there is another copy running. However, I have deleted all Firefox and Mozilla files and downloaded new. When I try to run it, I get the message to close Firefox as two cannot run at once.
I did create a new Mac account logon and can run Firefox there, so something in the other account is showing Firefox is running.
I also checked in ACTIVITY MONITOR and in SETUP and there is no Firefox or Mozilla running.
So, where can this bug be hiding???? -
Since downloading iOS on my new iPad, I cannot downlaod more than one pdf from mail into iBooks. I have to shut down my iPad and restart it to save a second pdf. Wasn't a problem with the old operating system. Any suggestions?
It seems that I have solved my issue by performing a full factory reset (erasing all content, something which I had hoped to avoid) restoring from an iCloud backup did not alleviate the issue, I had to set up as a new iPad.
Hopefully anyone else else who has this issue in the future will be able to find this. -
I have two separate iTunes libraries on different computers and I would like to compact into one. But I cannot without completely erasing one of the libraries. How can I do this without deleting anything?
Copy the content from one computer to another and import the media into iTunes.
Any playlists, playcounts, etc on the computer the content is being moved from will be lost.
