Alarm Messages

I am trying to see if Crystal 2008 will work with MP2 Access 2000.  When using the report wizard I get the error messages "Failed to retrieve data from the database" and the error message "Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report".  I am pretty sure I do have the proper path to the MP2 database because I do have the option to pick and choose the MP2 fields.  Does this mean that Crystal 2008 will not work for me?

Hi,
the problem may be due to the query itself and not the connection. Have you tried creating a very simple report, say pulling in a number of fields from just one table?
what is the underlying database, SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle, etc,?
I'm aware that MS Access, for example, doesn't support Right Outer joins.
regards,
Dom

  • Ipod Touch 3G no longer plays clock alarm sounds and just pauses and shows alarm messages.

All of a sudden, I am no longer able to hear clock alarm sounds like I used to.  Until recently, I was able to just play a music file, set the clock alarm with any sound from the selection while being able to preview the sound before I saved it, and then have it play at the time I set the alarm.  Now, whatever music I'm playing just pauses while the alarm goes off and the alarm messages are visble on screen. I went to settings--->general-->sounds and everything is on.  What happened here?

Yes, I did. All I needed to do was raise the volume from zero to above using the *actual buttons on the side* of the device instead of just the touch screen volume control. If you try to adjust the volume using *only* the touchscreen volume control, the sound of your music and videos will be affected directly as you desire, BUT if the volume control from the *actual buttons on the side* is completely down, the alarm clock will not sound.
I hope this helps. It may not make sense right off the bat but do give it a try.

  • Including Interface Description in Cisco PRime Infrastructure Alarm Message

    Hi all,
i succesfully configured a Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1 applliance to display an alarm and to send me an e-mail when switch uplink ports goes down.
The text displayed in alarm message is :
port 'interface_id' is down on device 'device_ip_address'
I'd like to include in this text also the interface description so the text will display :
port 'interface_id'  'interface_descriprion' is down on device 'device_ip_address'
    Is this possible?
    Thankyou in advance

    Hi,
    i followed these steps :
    SWITCH SIDE
    - configured Prime Infrastructure as snmp-server host;
    - enabled snmp-traps for linkup and linkdown events globally;
    - disabled snmp-traps for linkup and linkdown on non relevant interfaces using the no snmp trap link-status command
    PRIME INFRASTRUCTURE SIDE
    - under "Deploy/Monitor Deployment" i deployed template "Interface Health"  for all the interested switches
    -  under "Administration/System Settings/Mail Server Configuration" configured my internal SMTP server to make Prime Infrastructure able to send e-mails
    - under "Operate/Alarms & Events" click on "Email Notifications" , then on "Switches and Hubs"
       - check the "critical" box ,  insert the destination e-mail address into the "To" field then click "Save"
     -  check the "switches and Hubs" box and then click Save
As i know is possible to avoid to configure every single not-interesting port on the switches with "no snmp trap link-status" command (it's a bit annoying when you have tens of switches), using Port Grouping configuration on PI but i tried it without success.
    Hope this helps.

  • ISE alarm message - HIgh EPM Db usage Replication Stopped

    Dear experts,
I have the following alarm messages on my ISE monitoring Dashboard
Has everyone experience the same problem ?
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Rian

     High Memory Utilization -
Cisco ISE system is experiencing high memory utilization.
Check if the system has sufficient resources. Check the actual amount of work on the system for example, number of authentications, profiler activity etc. Add additional server to distribute the load.
    High Operations DB Usage-
Cisco ISE monitoring nodes are experiencing higher volume of syslog data than expected.
Check and reduce the purge configuration window for the operations data.

  • Security Alarm message

    Hi.
I'm connected to my family's internet connection (DSL) through my Mac's Airport Extreme wireless card. In the past few days, I've received several alarm-type messages that pop up on the screen when I'm online. Often it kicks me off the internet, and it will take several minutes before I can get a connection again. The message reads thus:
    "IP Connection!
192.168.1.101 in use by 00:14:a5:d1:3e:61, DHCP Server 192.168.1.1"
It then requires me to click "OK" before the box will go away.
I don't know what this means except that it relates to my internet connection, so I called my service provider for info and amazingly, they were pretty clueless. They only said that perhaps someone was trying to use use our wireless connection.
If anyone can help shed some light on what this means I would very much appreciate it.
    Stevie

Your ISP won't be of much help in solving this problem, since the problem is internal to your own private network.
What seems to be happening is that the IP address being used by your Mac is also being used by another computer on your wireless network. While this could be someone attempting unauthorized access to your wireless LAN, that is a very unlikely possibility if your wireless LAN is password protected (it is, isn't it?).
Unless someone you know has been playing with manual IP address settings on computers that use your LAN, this problem should simply go away if you shut everything down and then restart both your LAN's router as well as all the client computers.

  • Prime Infrastructure NCS Alarm Message: CPU: 85 crossed down threshold: 90

    Dears,
We have Cisco Prime NCS Ver.2.0 running on plad. Since yesterday the alarm give us severity major message (Message: CPU: 85 crossed down threshold: 90).
Please advice what this problem and how to solve it.
    Thanks,

    Hi Jeremy,
SNMP traps are shown in the events and alerts section of PI.
SNMP config looks fine. Can  you run the SNMP debug (debug snmp packets ) .check the logs and see if the device is actually sending the TRAPS to the PI server.
    Thanks-

  • Duplicate iCal alarm messages

Since we started synching our machines with Mobile Me I'm now getting multiple alarm notifications from iCal. If I set an notification to email me a reminder about an event on one computer, I get a message from every computer that synchs to Mobile Me... even one from my wife's machine using her email address. We have four computers and an iPad synching to our Mobile Me account, so I get five notifications for every event. Not only that, I get iPhone alarms, possibly because the iPhone is synched with that calendar. So does my wife, and she doesn't want the alarm at all (neither did I want the one that woke me a 4 AM). Is there a way to tame this to get only one email and no iPhone beeps? There must be a simple fix. Either that or Apple has started hiring software designers from Microsoft.

I am having duplicate events on my calendar...EVERYTHING is duplicated.
Fortunately, I don't have alarms set for just everything on the calendar.
It occurs to me that Sync-ing means to do just that. It seems that iCal's definition of Sync-ing is to just just put everything from both devices,(my iPad and my desktop), into a single pile and call it a calendar. If each calendar has the same info, well....it just goes in there twice.
I can't find a "Report Bugs" option in the drop box, either.
As for alarms...can your wife select which calendar she receives alarms from in the settings?
I think that, as long as you have all of your devices synced, you'll get notifications from any device "attached" to your calendar. I think that's the purpose of syncing.
I mean, that is the point of having a sync, so you never miss anything you've placed on the calendar.
So I think that your issue is more about feeling TOO synced.... But I don't know how you'd stop the notifications, aside from turning off the sync on each device that you don't want to receive the info. I am not sure that you can be as selective with how the mobileme service sends your events to your devices so much as you may have to select how you receive those events to each device.
I guess maybe not sending alarms for 4am is a good choice if you don't want to be bugged by that?
Good luck, I am going to see if there is any other thread regarding the Events Multiplicity issue. I also get these VAST duplications of contacts in my contact list and I don't understand that one, either.

I delete this messages in order to fix this issue.

    Hi !
About point #4, yes, I know ... thanks anyway.
I have a great news for Nokia guys. I deleted all jobs alarm... I mean, I'm not using N78 alarms, and the date issue seem solved !
Unfortunately this is only a workaround, I'm using the alarm of my great N73
I'm an Analyst/Programmer Senior... Nokia, please, check your alarm application that most probably caused too much problem.
    Thanks.

    PS
I found many fault on this SW release; related to the background light, phone keypad lock, keys that seem locked... etc etc... this is the worst update released.

  • ICal Alarm Message Is Almost Off The Screen.

After a couple of years of having a weekly reminder message, I have recently started getting them 90% off the screen.
Although I drag them to the middle before closing them, the next one always appears 90% offscreen.
I did update to Tiger but I am sure I received "normal" ones at first.
    Any ideas?

  • ICal setting default message alarm for all events

I want to change when I get message/alarms for all events (birthdays, etc.) from 2 days before to 4 days before. I find that I can only change this for single events (e.g., a specific person's birthday rather than all persons' birthdays). Is there a way to change the default so that I get my warning alarm message for all events 4 days in advance instead of 2 days?

I miss appointments b/c of this too.
And no, Apple does not read these forums UNLESS you comment on how pathetic and Mickey Mouse certain elements of their software is - like no 'default' setting for alarms in iCal, and not being able to resize windows from all edges (vs. the little annoying corner) etc etc.
I hope they fix it with the new software package in Leopard. I'm somewhat afraid it's going to be 'Leper' at first though. We'll see...

  • Error:Message could not be delivered will remain in Outbox

The error message further states that "The server*** cannot be contacted on port 25" This happens when the computer is sleeping and an alarm is sent from iCal. On my older computer, the mail would open automatically and display the alarm message as soon as I opened the computer. No it opens but gives the above error message. Do I need to change a setting of some kind?
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Thanks for responding
Is this email account and SMTP server provided by your ISP used for connecting to the internet or an email account provider only that is not associated with your ISP?
This email account is associated with my ISP.
I have no other problems forward, sending or receiving mail on this account. The only problem remains when iCal sends an alarm and my computer is in"sleep" mode. Then the message stays in my Outbox and won't be delivered.

  • How do you set a calendar alarm for a specific time on the day of the event without it being an all-day event

Does anyone know how to set a calendar alert at a specific time on the day of the event.
So that the alert date adjusts accordingly if you were to copy and past it to another date.
The custom alert function kind of does this, but because it is an absolute alert (not relative) it will still refer to the date you initially set it to when you copy and paste it to another date. So this creates more work where you would have to go and manually change all the custom alerts. I have potential
Anyone know how to set this kind of calendar alert?
    Thanks in advance

Greetings: Set the alarm to message you (on your screen) and then snooze it every day for 15 days, or, set 15 separate alarm messages. There is probably an AppleScript somewhere on the web too, try searching that way as well.

  • Can't get alarm to work on new ipod--never had trouble with old ipod

    Greetings all,
I just got a new Classic 120GB and it is great but I can't get the alarm clock to work...when I set a time for the alarm clock, it doesn't seem to remember this time but it instead defaults to an hour later than the current actual time...I tried several times to reset the alarm for a minute or two in the future so I could test it and see if it made any sound...I have reset the ipod and the normal time and date display is correct. I also can't get the beep sound to work, although I can hear the clicking when you scroll through things and so the internal speaker is clearly working. I used my old Ipod Photo for years as my alarm clock and I never had a problem with it...anyone have any idea how to fix this? I have the most recent ipod software, am using an older 17" G4 powerbook running 10.4.11. is there something obvious I am overlooking?

update: I can get an alarm message (you have an alarm) and a choice to dismiss or "snooze" but the internal speaker is still not kicking in and obviously a silent alarm is not ideal in this instance. When I try to hear the "beep" under tones, it doesn't make any sound but bounces me back to "sounds"...I can hear the clicking when scrolling and so the speaker seems activated but is muted somehow for the alarm. My old Ipod had a nice little alarm sound and I was hoping to use my new Ipod as an alarm clock as well...not a life or death thing, but I can't figure this out and I have read everything I could find. Help!
