Alarm not going off?

This morning my alarm never went off. I am positive the alarm was turned on, and set for the correct time, etc... It is set for "everyday" and it went off yesterday morning, and I never disabled it - Why would I, if I'd need it again today). I DID update my iphone software last night, and this is the only possible explanation I can think of. Has anyone else had this problem? What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

I have been getting this issue as well...i downloaded a 3rd party alarm - which works - just need to leave it running in the background - had no issues at all so far

Recently I updated my Lumia to WP8.1 and a couple of days later I find my alarms not going off at all, or they do so on random days.
It is really a big issue for me cuz I have to wake up early quite often and without an alarm its impossible.

If its the Built-in Alarm, I don't think there is any Volume setting for it .. Its independent of the Ringer+Notification as well as Media+Apps Volume. BTW, do you atleast see the Alarm screen displayed when the time is reached ? If yes, did you try selecting any other Tone ?
Try a Soft Reset : Press and hold Power + Volume(down) keys until the phone vibrates (about 8-10 seconds). Phone will reboot. Then check whether it gets resolved ...

  • Why are my alarms for my ical not going off

I have alarms set to go off for several ical events.  I have tried many files to be the alarm form my itunes, but im not sure why they are not working, and my daily alarm clock is not going off.  I have tried several different times also

I just spoke to a representitive from Apple and after researching the issue with a supervisor, I learned that once you activate iTunes Match, you lose the ability to have your songs go into a "Purchased" playlist/folder automatically on your phone. They still go to a "Purchased" folder on your computer, however on the phone, they go into the general library after you buy them. You have to individually search for the songs afterwards and add them to a playlist of your choice for easy access later. The rep was uncertain if this was something that would be fixed in the future. I hope they do fix it.

  • Reminders are not going off in my Calendar app

    Hi,
The reminders I set in the Calendar app are not going off/alarming. I'm currently using Gmail as my default calendar, and it doesn't alarm when a reminder is due.
I've already fixed the date-time settings of my gmail calendar to match my blackberry, and I still miss reminders because they don't alarm.
Whenever I restart my q10, the reminders apprently go off/alarm, but as the day goes on, my reminders no longer alarm. does anyone else have the same problem? Any advice? Thanks.

  • My Iphone 5 clock alarm isnt going off when its "on sound", it acts as if its on vibrate and doesnt wake me up. Started with the IOS upgrade. Is there a bug?

My new Iphone 5 clock alarm isnt going off where I can hear it.  Its started on my 4S when I upgraded to IOS6 and even on the Itouch too.  I set the clock alarm, turn on sound (not silent), the alarm goes off, but no sounds comes out.   I have to reset home to get it to recognize its off, but that doesnt always work, it did it on both my Itouch and Iphone5 I almost over slept this morning because never of them went off and woke me up.   Acted as it the sound was down (which it wasnt) and it was on silent mode (which it wasnt)  Is there a bug with this?  I cant trust my phone now to wake me up.  Any help?  Thanks Tracey

Same problem here. Me and my girlfriend swapped iphone 5's (she has white, I have black) in may and I rely on the alarm every morning to wake me up for work. It hasn't let me down.
A few days ago I set 2 alarms very early in the morning to wake me up for an early morning flight. Neither alarm made a sound & I missed the flight!!
We then swapped our phones back & she has just had exactly the same thing happen & has missed an important meeting at work. Again, quite an early morning alarm. The odd thing is I have a black iphone 5, also latest OS,  never had this happen to me...
Has anyone solved this problem. I can't make it repeat (reset the same alarm for a different time & it goes off fine).
Does I need to buy her a dedicated alarm clock!?!

  • Alarm keeps going off on 3GS

My wifes 3GS's alarm keeps going off constantly. There is no alarm set on the phone but it keeps going off dozens of times a day. She has tried the soft reset with no luck. The constant alarm is killing her battery life. Any ideas?

  • My iPhone alarm is not going off.

Ok, so... Several mornings in a row my iPhone alarm has behaved very strangely. If I set it for 7:30, with the "crickets" sound, both occasions I've woken up at 8:00, a half hour late. When I wake up, there are no crickets sounding. Strangely, when I look at my phone there is the interface on the screen that offers to allow me to "Snooze". That, to me, indicates that the alarm has triggered. I just don't get the sound.
I've used the crickets sound for at least a year now. My traditional experience has been that when the crickets start chirping, the generally chirp forever until I tell them to stop. I've even come home to them chirping because I forgot an alarm I set. So... what's up?
Also, no... the headphones are not it. And, the silent toggle is not on (not that it should matter - the alarm goes off even with silent on).

Also I should mention that Apple said it is a hardware issue, but a software issue.

  • 5th generation iPod Touch speaker is not working with music and apps, but the alarm sound goes off fine. Why?

I have a 5th generation iPod Touch and it got a small amount of water in it around the speaker. When I tried to see if my music would play through it, it couldn't. But, when I tried my alarm to make sure I could still hear it, you could. The sound was fine from the alarm, not as loud as it used to be but I could still hear it. Why doesn't the sound work with my music and apps? Also, would I be able to exchange it if I have a warranty?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • 1661 Alarm Clock Goes Off Randomly

I often use my 1661 as a backup alarm clock. I set the alarm to go off at a given time, with the setting "alarm once" (i.e. no repeat.) My problem is that the alarm clock will go off randomly before the set time. For instance recently I set the alarm for 7:05 AM. The alarm went off at random times overnight, for instance 2:14 AM and 4:52 AM (not the exact times, just an estimate). The clock showed the correct time when it went off. Has anyone else experienced this? It's obviously quite a problem.

At another site, it was suggested to turn off the automatic synchronization.
I am trying it right now.
In the USA, given the extremely poor coverage of the T-Mobile network, it does make sense. Basically, the phone gets confused as to what time it is every time it loses updates from the network. The software says: "Hey, an alarm was set and I do not know what time it is... let me ring just in case... " and there goes your sleep!

  • Alarm incorrectly going off since Daylight Savings Time

My alarm is always set for 6:30AM Monday through Friday.
Since Daylight Savings last week, my phone has consistently gone off at 5:30AM, and the 6:30 alarm doesn't go off. If I set a later alarm, say for 6:31AM (in addition to the 6:30AM alarm), my phone will go off at 5:30, and then 6:31... disregarding the 6:30 alarm.
I have deleted my alarms and then rebooted the phone, and then added the alarms back in. Unfortunately, my phone keeps going off an hour earlier than it should.
Last night I set an alarm for 6:31AM and deleted the 6:30 alarm, and my phone went off at 5:31, disregarding the 6:31 alarm.
Any ideas on how to fix this, or am I doomed to wake up at 5:30 the rest of my life?

Or you could expect a product that you pay for to work as it's supposed to.
    I don't disagree with that.
The iPhone, and ALL smart phones are highly complex devices. There are several hundred different programs all interacting with each other, in addition to the phone operating system.
This software is constantly being changed and updated. Certain versions will be stable with certain applications. Updates can cause bugs (like the clock not working).
I am a pilot. I do not use the navigation programs on the iPhone. I use a FAA certified navigation system, because I need something more reliable.

  • Alarm Clock goes off 30 minutes later then expected in IOS 4.2 in Venezuela

The app worked OK under 3.1. This problem appeared in 4.0 but was solved in 4.1. The bug reappered in 4.2. Venezuela is -4:30 GMT. When I set up an alarm at 7:00 AM, it goes off at 7:30. There seems to be a problem with the time setting. I had the correct time in Miami. Then I flew to Caracas (Venezuela) and when the new service provider was recognized, it set the time 30 minutes behind. This was in IOS4 version 4.1 - when the alarm clock was working OK. I had to set the Region parameter in the International Option again to get the right time, even as the time setting is on Automatic Adjust.

Yes, I have tried that, many times. It is frustrating, because after googling about my problem, all I can find is numerous forum threads created by people having exactly the same problem as mine, but with the difference that all of them get their iPads to boot using the 2 button trick.
It does NOT work for me, no matter how I try it (iPad plugged in computer or wall, not plugged in, iTunes open, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, etc).

  • Alarm is not going off every morning

I have set my alarm and it doesn't go off in the morning...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this same problem, and believe I have your solution (at least it works for me!):
    1) Make sure your alarm is set to repeat, ie: MTWTF or whatever days you want the alarm to run.
    2) Click on "Menu", "Settings", and make sure your "Alarm in silent mode" is checked and alarm volume is set all the way to the right.
    3) If your alarm is still not working, exit the alarm function, and go to standard "Settings", "Sound and Display", "Ringer Volume". Make sure ringer volume is all the way to the right.
    4) Set your secondary alarm for 5 minutes from now to test.
I have found that in using my phone during the day, my fingers hit the up and down volume buttons on the side and turn the volume down too low for me to hear while I'm asleep. I check every night!
    Hope this helps!

  • How do I find and disable a rogue alarm that goes off every Sunday morning t 7:15am?

Siri says there are no alarmas.
I cant figure out where it's coming from. It shuts off when I tap the screen but the following Sunday, it's back again.
    Thanks

There are no reminders and no notification apps.... this started 3 weeks ago and occurs every Sunday morning...........
What apps have you installed in the last three weeks? If you can remember that, check the settings in all of them for alarms or reminders. If you can't find anything obvious, delete them all and add them back a couple at a time until the problem recurs. This is going to be annoying as the problme only occurs on Sunday.
    Best of luck.

  • Alarm Clock, Alarm Never Goes off, Please Test

I can't get any alarms I set to go off. Currently under the Nano's clock I have Los Angeles listed. I set the alarm, and it shows a little bell for the alarm on. Nothing happens, no sound, no music nothing. the time just goes by.
If the nano is off it doesn't turn on, and if it's on nothing happens?
Any suggestions? Normally should the alarmclock work if the nano is off?
Can anyone verify that their nano alarmclock works?
Also can I switch between AM & PM without having to scroll through the entire 24 hours?

Sorry for the apparent simplicity, but how do move to the hour part of the alarm function ? I can change the minutes using the click wheel, but I just can't get to the hour part. Please dont tell me I have to scroll around all the way to the time I want to set the alarm for ?
sorry but yes you do, please report feature request as i do to get separate selection for scrolling hour selection.

  • Post updating my 4s handset with ios6 handset is not going off automatically even after 1 min timeline

my handset remains active even after 1 minute benchmark set for auto off.

I've gone through the same process as you've described with a different twist. They advised me that the screen on
my phone was cracked. They are sending me $36 instead of the Appraised Value of $200.  I'm not an Attorney
but I would bet it would be an easy win over Verizon in a Class Action, because this whole process smells
bad. There must be tens of thousands of people getting ripped off and they're not all liars, which is what Verizon would have a judge believe. Contract or no contract, most states prohibit Agreements that would negate consumer protection
    from fraudulent business practices.
Verizon may play hardball with it's disenchanted customers and there isn't much you can do as an individual.
This just happened with me on one phone and I'm waiting for news of a second phone that I sent at the same time.
In the meantime I will visit the Verizon Store and talk to the salesperson who sold me the two new iPhone 6's
and see what he can do. I will also contact my local Better Business Bureau office for their advice. If there's no satisfaction, I will keep the phones, stop paying my bill and get a new carrier. They can take me to court, but I will be there first in@ Small Claims Court. I'm retired so I have time to do this stuff, but most people can't, so the best bet is still a
good Lawyer with a Class Action Suit and lots of negative publicity in the papers and the internet.
