Alarm & Notifivation Ringtones

After ICS Update , i cant put my favourite songs as alarm or notification ringtones.....is there any solution for this problem.............

This should be an easy fix,
Simply go to the Alarm > select the alarm you wish to edit > Tap Advanced Alarm Settings > Turn off Style Settings > Tap Alarm Sound > Select Sound Picker if this option comes up > Tap the musical note in the top right hand corner.
That is how this is achieved.

Alarm Clock Ringtone Changed after Upadting to iOS8

Hi there,
I have been having this problem and I wonder if anyone is also experiencing the same problem as well.
My alarm clock ringtone has been changed ever since I updated my iPhone 5s from iOS7 to iOS8. The ringtone is really short, which only lasts no more than 5 seconds.
In iOS7, it repeats itself for the alarm. However right now in iOS8, it only rings once, and only once, and that is it (which causes a problem for me to go to work because before it would repeat itself and now since it only rings once I also miss it. And I have been using this ringtone forever so I do not want to change).
So I am wondering if this is a bug, or if the features of the ringtone havebeen changed for iOS8?

My alarm continues to work exactly the same as it did under iOS 7. However, a few people seem to have had problems with alarms. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? You might also try deleting your alarms and redoing them.

yes did you buy it of somebody or a well known company such as apple or carphone warehouse?
and i mean the phone would have been activated in the first place with the sim card you get given when you first get the phone.

It sounds like even though the Mute switch is not on, sounds are not making the, well, sound they should, and the volume buttons make a blank volume indicator appear on the screen that does not show the volume level.
I wanted to recommend a couple of things.
First, I would reset the phone:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If that does not resolve the issue, then you may want to try backing up to iTunes, and restoring the iPhone again but this time do not restore the backup and set it up as new to see if the issue persists without the previous configuration.

Error when trying to change ringtones/alarms on E9...

Has anyone had the following problem? When I try to change a ringtone or alarm, the list of music files usually fails to load, due to the sheer number of music files on my phone (I have an 8GB card with quite a lot of MP3s on it). The easiest solution is to make sure that all of my alarm/ringtone files are stored in the phone memory, and then to remove the memory card before trying to change an alarm or ringtone.
There is another solution for ringtones, which is to use Gallery (which is usually pretty slow in itself), and then to use the Use Tone menu item, to allocate a track as a ringtone to a contact. However, this approach does not work for alarms, as it is not possible to set a tone as an alarm from within Gallery.
The question is, am I missing something somewhere, or is the S60 approach of creating a single list of all music files on the phone simply not able to deal with a large number of files? If this is the case, it kind of makes a mockery of the idea that an S60 can be used as a fully-fledged music player...

Volume inconsistency: ringtone and alarm

After a sistem update I have been having volume trouble: if the screen is locked the volume for both the alarm anr ringtone is too low and I can't hear it, but as soon as I touch the screen to dismiss the alarm/snooze the alarm or answer/reject the call the volume goes up and it rings as it used to before the update. My boyfriend was going throught the setteing and although he did not ghance any settings, the volume went back to normal. Then, a couple of days later, the problem emerged again. Today I have restarted the phone and the volume is back to normal again but it is not okay for it to out of nowhere get very low and then back to normal withour any aparent reasen. Both times when I troubleshooted it or went to select the ringtone, the volume was normal and talking during conversations it was okay too, so I am guessing the problem only happens when the screen is locked... anyways, it is such a pain Anyone got any ideas on what might be causing this and how to make it NEVER happen again???

Ringtone transfer - Droid Rookie needs some help

Just bought a Razr M when they came out last week.    Still on a steep learning curve from BlackberryLand.
Downloaded some FREE ringtones from the Internet and have them stored in a folder on my laptop.   mp3 format and proper length.
Question:   How do I transfer (or copy) them from their current location to the phone?   And, in such a way that they reside in the proper location on the phone that I can select whatever one I want to be my ringtone?

try this file structure on your SD card (assuming that's where you plan to put them):
     media
          audio
               alarms
               notifications
               ringtones
then you could also use them as notifications and alarms, if you want; just put the mp3 file in the appropriate folder(s)

4.3.5 and No Ringtones!

I've just spent nearly four hours trying nearly every suggestion on the web for getting custom alarm sounds into my Touch. In one of these the author goes on about how the feature is included since 4.3.3, yet my 4.3.5 settings have no such feature. Under Sounds I have just the old volume slider and four or five noie-making things, none being alarms or ringtones. I've bought (from iTunes), and made using all the methods gleaned in said four hours, including three Mac Apps. When I try to sync the ringtones thus acquired, in m4r format, I get a "can't be played on this iPod." I Deauthorized and re-authorized my Mac and got the same thing.
I pray someone has something helpful and my hours this evening were not in vain.

This was related to my Wacom pad. Still waiting for Apple and Wacom to come up with a new driver. Until then, only the Mac mouse allows the drag over to my phone, ipod, etc.

Alarm won't ring if I get txt or push notification fix pls

I've had this happen alot and for a person who lives and travels with iPhone I need it to b more reliable please fix I love iPhone just a bug n also seperate volume for alarm and ringtone very anoying having it on low volume durring the day after I wake up cuz no one likes to jump to an alarm so I keep I on low plz fix

Ringtones and other features

Hi everyone. I Just got this droid razr on Saturday and I am unable to download the ringtones that I got from Google play. Why is that If I want ringtones do I need to get them from Verizon.
Also why is that when I call someone I have trouble hearing the phone ring clearly.

I don't know about hearing the ringer.
Mine isn't the loudest at times either. Other times, it'll scare the bejezus outa you.
I use mp3's that I downloaded to the phone for my ringtones. I simply created a MUSIC folder on my SD card and loaded the songs to it. Then when I have a alarm or ringtone I want to select, I point it to that folder. I've never bought anything from Verizon - ringtones that is.

Alarm clock volume, Nokia 2730 Classic

I cannot seem to find a setting to adjust the volume of the tone that the alarm clock makes. The alarm volume is very soft and not loud at all. It doesn't wake me up!!
Could someone please show me how to adjust the volume of the alarm clock? Please??!?

Furious with IOS8. Morning alarm doesnt ring anymore

Hi guys,
After so much money spent with Apple (3 ipads. 2 ipod, 3 iphones), I am extremely annoyed that for such expensive devices (supposed to be top of market) you get bugs like that!!!!
since purchasing Iphone 6 IOS 8.1.2, I arrived late at work 4 time this week!!! Alarm doesnt go off even I set 2 alarms with different ringtones,
I did: reset alarm, deleted all alarms, change ringtones, set 2 alarms.
Just NOTHING. no ring, no vibrate.
since a few updates back , I am really not happy about this once great company !!!!

No i checked it too. It does only if i will set alarm clock for waking me next morning. For example if i will set it now (18:00 p.m.) to ring at 20.00 it will works as I set it... So i think its problem of that Alarm application from Nokia that some users have it wrong like that... Will Nokia do something about it??

7100 Supernova alarm clock volume too loud

How can I change the volume for the alarm clock, it's way too loud! I tried different ringing tones for the alarm, but they are all very loud. Changing the ringing volume doesnt seem to effect the alarm volume. Is there any fix or other solution for this?

IPad mini will not play ANY audio or video

My daughter's 1st gen iPad mini worked great until about 2 months ago. The symptoms are best expressed in a list:
No audio at all. No music, no game audio, no alarms, no ringtones....nothing.
No video will record or play. Both cameras work and can take pictures but neither can record full motion videos. Slow mo video will record (and play), but I'm assuming that is because it is actually a series of pictures and not a video...No video from the Internet or previously recorded video will play.
Siri can't transcribe, so I'm assuming the microphone doesn't work either.
FaceTime doesn't work.
The oddest part of it is that the Ipad "thinks" it has full functionality. the music files "play" for half a second (no sound) then insta finish and go to the next song, in a turbo silent loop of her music collection. If you hit record on audio or video it will "begin" recording, bit actually not record anything, and in fact freezes up and requires you to leave, then close the app.
Now, we took it to the Apple Store near us and 3 or 4 techs looked at it and all said they've never seen anything like this before. We have tried resetting it and reinstalling it as a new iPad. At the genius bar they plugged it in and did a firmware upgrade and it made no difference.
Did I mention the warranty JUST ran out a month before this...
Any help at all would be appreciated....

Try this:
1. Close all inactive apps. Double-click the Home button and hold apps in the Task Bar down until they all wiggle then tap the minus sign to close apps. Tap the home button to return to Home screen.
2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

What is master volume purpose?

I am having difficult time distinguish between "regular sound indicator" and "master volume?
1.What is Master Volume?
2.What does it affect? (Alarm clock volume?)
3.Does it only affect apps or the maximum volume of the device in general?
(for example if I set it to half..Regales if I have set the ringtone volume to Max... It will only play half the power due to the master volume being set to half?)

Master volume is the general volume level that is adjusted when you use the volume buttons on the side. It controls the speaker volume for music, videos and calls.
Other types of volumes can be set independently in the settings, for things like notifications, alarms and ringtones.
