Alarm on Samsung Brightside not working

My Samsung Brightside phone alarm does not work when I set it to go off  in the  mornings it will not work, but when I set it  later in the day it will work. Has anyone else had this problem with their Samsung Brightside?

CallieGP: Your Samsung Brightside could very well be one of those "batch" phones that were defective when sold. It has nothing to do with the internet being blocked, either. The phone may be defective and Verizon refuses to issue new phones because they aren't any "new" ones that have been fixed or manufactured to actually work as marketed, as sold for profit. Verizon does not care about the customers who bought these alleged defective phones - they are too busy marketing and selling the higher priced smart phones.
Check your calendar function. Do a test calendar event - set a test even for 3 different days and see if the calendar function works. If it epic fails, then you most likely have a defective phone from the original batch. Verizon won't refund your money and it will try to give you a "certified like new" Samsung Brightside which is a used phone that is most likely from the original defective batches that were mass produced, marketed and sold to the unsuspecting and "sucker" public. Let me know about your calendar, please. The more people that state they have a problem(s) with the Samsung Brightside, the more defense i have to bring a lawsuit against Verizon. But it will counter with "oh, it's the manufacturer's problem" even though Verizon continues to market and sell these phones for a profit. keep me posted!

  • Samsung brightside not connecting to computer properly.

    I am trying to get my samsung brightside to connect to my computer for data transfer and can't seem to get it to connect. I plug it in and it goes to charging mode, this is telling me that 1 my cable is good and 2 my ports on my computer are good (I also plug it into another computer and it does the same thing). I checked the USB Mode in settings >USB Mode and made sure it says USB Mass Storage still nothing. I also made sure that im on the "home" screen when im plugged in. the last thing I should mention is that this has worked before.

    I must not be clear enough in my description as to what is going on. Or you guys don't understand windows all that much. when you plug in any memory device you are able to see the device in "My computer"

    now when I plug my phone in having it on USB Mass storage as advised here (your site's instructions where down when I posted this) the phone is not showing up in the screen above as shown below. my phone is only charging when plugged into my computer. and I have plugged it into different computers with the same results.
    How can I fix this so I can get at the micro SD card that I do have inserted and to be able to see the Phone again.

  • Video out to Samsung A650 not working correctly

    I have a MBP 2.2Ghz, and I recently purchased a 46" Samsung LN46A650. I used the DVI to VGA adapter and a VGA cable for the first week and it worked. then i wanted to move further from the tv, so i bought a VGA extension cable. tried it, it didn't work right because the image on the tv was somewhat distorted, and it was over towards the right side of the screen.
    eventually it worked after i was just restarting. now it is not working again, but worse, is that now even when i dont use the extension cable it still isn't working.........how do i fix this? i just want it to output the 1080 resolution correctly. i would be able to post a picture of the screen if you think that would help.

    just a follow up, i am now pretty sure that it was an issue of signal loss. i now use a dvi to hdmi adapter instead, and a 12' hdmi cable. it works well.

    Hi - I have purchased a samsung skype camera (model CY-STC1100/XC) which when I connect to my samsung TV (model UE32D6500) does not work: the blue LED does not come on at all. I have already returned one as faulty so this I don't believe the issue is with the camera. Any ideas?

    Hi- its working now.  The problem is that all your contacts needs to update Skype and have the latest version and then bingo - it works.  Its fab now.
    Problem solved and set for Christmas call around.

    Hello My net printer doesn't allow me to connect to it. It is working on other macs in the office (with Mavericks on not) but not on mine. The air print option in preferences panel seems not working (displays error when adding through the preferences panel), but works on other macs. The printer is SAMSUNG M2675FN

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.

    /var/log ▹ cups ▹ error_log
    from the hierarchical list on the left side of the Console window. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the time of the last failed printing attempt. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
    If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.

  • ICal alarms on my iPhone not working correctly?

    With my iPhone turned ON, any alerts that are set for any of my calendars show up in the correct way. If my iPhone is turned OFF when an alert was due to sound, with the previous software version 2.2.1, when I turned my iPhone ON it would still alert me, but since I've updated to version 3.0, this doesn't happen anymore? I'm sure it should do, I've always received alerts from my iCal on my iMac when I switch it on in the morning for any alerts that should have sounded whilst my computer was off. Has anyone else noticed this or have, is it a glitch or have I just been unlucky when I updated? If that's the case, any ideas how to resolve the problem, other than a full restore!!

    Every since my wife and I upgraded both of our iPhones with the iPhone 3.0 software, calendar alerts do not work. They do not work with "all day" events. They do work if you put a specific time. The alerts were working before the 3.0 upgrade.

  • Samsung LCD not working in Vista, but fine with OSX. Help!

    Ok guys. I have read some of the posts on this topic, but they really haven't been helpful, so I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a Samsung 4671 TV, that when connected through DVI to HDMI on my MBP on OSX it works fine, on Vista my TV says mode not supported. Since, it works fine with OSX, I kind of doubt it is the TV. Has anyone had this problem with a similar setup and gotten it to work? Thanks.

    I suspect it's the Vista DVI driver that is at fault. A Google search with 'Vista DVI driver apple' shows that others are having your same problem.

  • Fix for Samsung Monitor not working after 10.6 install

    This quick fix solution worked for me. Hope it works for you:
    I have an 15inch MacBook Pro that I've just installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 on.
    Prior to this install, I've had it hooked up to my Samsung SyncMaster 2243 via an Apple MDP/VGA adapter and a third party VGA cable. It has been flashing on and off a black screen every now and then for the past 2 years and I googled that it was just a crappy communication between the MBP and the Samsung... but now since installing 10.6.3, the Samsung display just flashes the desktop for a second then turns black for good - occationally flashing analogue/digtal prompt display. Tried everything for hours. Nothing worked, thought I was gonna have to buy a new all Apple VGA lead then came across this solution. Tried it and it worked IMMEDIATLY!!! And the monitor doesn't flash black anymore AT ALL!
    WHAT TO DO TO FIX:
    Go to => System Preferences  => Energy Saver => change graphic settings to Higher Performace.

    I figured it out.  NVIDIA has an update specifically for 10.6.8 and several of their video GPU's.  go HERE to download the driver. It also took away the slow response and flicker I was experiencing.

    I have a new Samsung u740 cell phone and I set it up to sync my contacts b/w the computer and the phone. I also set it up so when someone calls me it pops up on my computer who's calling, but when someone calls it just says "unknown caller". I have synced the contacts on both devices. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

  • Rss Feeds on Samsung Continuum not working after Verizon Update

    I have been wondering for awhile why my Samsung Continuum will not recieve Rss feeds when I subscribe to them. I have read very little on why or how to fix this. This sucks as those Rss feeds are really useful. My bro's and my phone (both the same phone) have this problem. I have not reset my phone. Anything would be appreciated!

    I'm having this same problem. Any word on if a patch is coming? I would be happy with Verizon just admitting their update was worthless and gave us an update letting us know they are actually aware of the issue rather than saying they dont know whats going on and offer to replace a perfectly good phone because they wont listen to their customers. Simlar to what raphana said...for what we pay they could have atleast tested the update before putting it live!

    After having an iPhone4 for a few years from AT&T, I have decided to switch to a brand new fresh phone. I decided on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and I am now on the Verizon network. It seems I am not getting any notifications (notifications such as direct messages, mentions, favorites, retweets ect.) from Twitter account on my cell phone. I have all my settings checked to be on my Galaxy S5 as well on the Twitter website. Is there something I am missing here? Please help! Thank you in advance!

    Make sure this notification box is checked. Settings, Applications, Application Manager, Scroll over to all, Scroll down to Twitter, Click on twitter and sure the show notifications box is checked.

    installed mountain lion 10.8.2 on samsung 512 830 SSD and it boots perfectly in an external enclosure (using it now) but when I put it internally, it doesnt boot at all I get just the grey boot up spinning wheel
    can anyone please help me with this ive read various things about replacing the SATA cable and covering it with tin foil but no one seems to give a definitive answer.
    Please help as I don't want to have wasted my money

    I had purchased one 512MB Samsung RAM with PC133R-333-542-B2 Configuration, when i place my RAM in slot, there is no change in my total RAM ( I already using 256MB+256MB RAM in Slot 0 and Slot 1).
    I placed 512MB as single, the system does not started. It didn't give any error messages, or beep. It keeps silent. And I am using the latest BIOS from MSI site.
    Please Help to me. I am afraid of this problem.

  • MBP 2011 - HDMI - Samsung HDTV - Not working

    Hello All,
    I wanted to be able to watch my computer on my TV so to show some streamed programing so purchased a HDMI cable from a Mac reseller.
    When I plugged it in to the recommended port (have since tried the rest of them) I was not able to see my screen on the TV. Despite asking to detect displays I have never managed to have my macbook ackowledge the fact that it is connected to the TV so options such as mirroring are not available to me since the tab is still suppressed.
    I have spent the last 2 days digging through these forums and trying to find a solution so have tried to reset the PRAM, plugging and unplugging, changing resolutions etc. I was running snow leopard but since upgraded to Lion and still nothing has changed.
    The only thing I have not done is go and buy a new cord but given the number of people reporting this issue and the fact that it is a new cord that should support both audio and video and was recommended by the dealer I doubt swapping it will change much.
    Can someone please help me, I see endless posts about this problem but no clear cut solution. I really dont understand how with the number of people that seem to be facing this issue that apple is not more present in bringing it to a resolution.

    Finally got a chance to update.....
    I went to the store where I got my cable and tested the following:
    1 - My Computer and the cable to another TV = same result, no video on TV and acknowledgement on my computer that there was a connection.
    2 - The stores macbook Pro and my cable to the TV = WORKED FINE (so the cable does not seem to be the issue)
    3 - My computer and the same cable to a Mac monitor = worked fine (would suggest that in some capacity my port on the computer is working)
    I am not sure what to do here. My guess it has something to do with the discussions I have seen about there being the dual graphic cards and the resolution with the TV but I have not found a answer that would make it work. My cards are:
    AMD Radeon HD 6490M & Intel HD Graphics 3000
    So if there are any ideas about how to fix this please let me know. I am trying to avoid taking it up to the apple technicians and have them open up the machine since I have some bad experiences with things starting to fail once this happens....
