Alarming battery Drain, possibly Advanced Calling?- Droid Turbo

Hi all, I haven't had any issues with my Droid Turbo since I got it, and it's actually the best phone I've ever had.
Here's my issue though: Usually overnight it will drain around 3-4%, but last night something bizarre happened. I charged the phone up to 100% and went to sleep, when I woke up it was at 60% with something called RCS running all night. I have no idea what that is but I want to inform Verizon that this happened to me. I think it's something to do with Advanced Calling so I turned that off. So far the phone is normal, but I wiped the cache partition to be safe.
Has this happened to anyone? How do I fix it? I hope Lollipop comes out soon....I heard a VoLTE fix of some kind was coming, hope this is it.

Low volume and fuzzy feedback? Ouch. Funny how it was just consuming resources. Not good. Might be at root cause for other people having battery issues after upgrading to Lollipop. Where did you disable it?
I think on other devices, people found it dropped calls, so I think they disabled it to improve call reliablility. Guess it's a Work In Progress sort of thing.

Droid Turbo Inaccurate Battery Percentage and Fast Draining

As of yesterday, when my Droid Turbo needs to be charged, and I plug it in, the battery percentage will go from 20 percent to 100 percent in under 5 minutes. Then will drain super quick. I spoke with Verizon's Tech Coach who instructed me to clear the partition which was done. I then completed a factory reset, and even tried a different charger to see if it was that and I have the same problem. Has anyone encountered this issue as well?

We want to make sure you have the power, Rip4luv! Are you using the original charger? Does this happen on multiple wall outlets or USB ports? have you recently installed any new applications or updates when this began?

Droid Turbo Advanced Calling/ Internet Features Do Not Work!!!

This is my 2nd Droid Turbo since the phone came out last November. The first one had to be replaced because all the apps and the phone kept crashing. Let me just say that VERIZON and MOTOROLA both have some of the WORST Tech support I have ever experienced with a phone. I know more about these phones then they do. I even already know all the troubleshooting that they are going to make me do and waste my time!
I clearly tell the Level 2 tech support person that yes, Advanced Calling is enabled on my phone and on my account. Yes, it worked fine on my last Droid Turbo. As soon as I make a phone call the 4gLTE disappears and the phone says I have no Data Connection. I can't get on the internet unless I'm using WiFi. So ofcourse they try to trouble shoot it and that doesn't work so then they get Motorola on the line and this girl knows even less than the last one. On top of that she can't even speak English. Are you ************ kidding me! What a wast of my time. In the end they couldn't fix ********
I'll never buy another Motorola phone and I'll probably just cancel Verizon since they don't have service in my area anyway. Which btw, I live in LA but my house is on top of a hill where Verizon has no service so they told me I can cancel my contract anytime. Too bad for them!

When you say "does not work," what does that mean, exactly? What happens? Any error messages?

Updated Droid Turbo this morning to Advanced Calling now the phone keeps freezing and restarting - why? - and how do i fix

I have had my Droid Turbo for less than a month. This morning I downloaded and installed the upgrade for Advanced Calling. Now my phone has basically quit working. The phone keeps freezing and/or automatically restarting. Why and how do I fix it?

Unless I am wrong, ErinW_VZW, the upgrade for advanced calling is NOT an app - it is a system update and therefore cannot be uninstalled. Kinda scary that you do not know this.
LLATOO - My advice to you is to perform a factory reset. Look under System Settings -> Backup and Reset -> Factory Data Reset. This will obviously delete your entire phone so backup what you need.

I still can't be on a phone call and use data without wifi on my Droid Turbo. I thought this was going to be fixed by late November.

I am so disappointed. I am a long time Droid user and research the Droid Turbo for several months before purchasing. I even read the reviews that indicated that there was a issue when attempting to use the phone calling feature and data at the same time. I called Verizon and talked with a rep. who indicated that he had the new phone and assured me that this issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, when I received the phone this was not the case. Even an update shortly after purchase still did not fix this issue. All of my Droids before this did not have this issue...how can a newer more improved phone? I even called Motorola and the English of the representative was so bad that I could not overcome the language barrier therefore no solution was reached. Wish I had my Razr HD back :{

I can understand the concern CCONLEY. Go to Settings>Advanced Calling> and select Activate Advanced Calling or contact Customer Service to get the features added. Once added Reboot device and go back to Setting>Advanced Calling>and ensure the Advanced Calling switch is set to On. Ensure you are in a 4G LTE service area and test again. Does the alarm clock drain the iPhone 4 battery?

My iPhone 4 battery drains overnight and I was wondering if the alarm clock has something to do with it. If this is not the case, is there a way to not have the battery drain overnight?
Please let me know of anything you know to conserve battery life as much as possible.

Leaving it overnight without charging will use small amount of battery. Reason is that it is still connected to a 3G network which draws some power to maintain a good reception. Anything not in sleep mode will use some battery.
To conserve battery life as much, just keep it in the charger overnight. It will not harm the battery as when the phone is fully charged, the charging stops.
I normally keep my phone in my charger when I'm home, but when I go out somewhere I unplug it.

Droid Turbo defective battery?

I purchased my 64GB Droid Turbo on the 30th and have tried everything I can think of but I can't seem to get more than ~8 hours of battery life. I have already been in contact with motorola and performed their recommended "clear partition", done a factory reset, turned off data and location when not in use, only sync over wi-fi, etc.. Ideas? or bad battery?

Like Tidbits pointed out a Li-ion battery needs to have a rebuild charge sometimes. Do a full 6-8 hour charge with device in sleep mode, next run it down to about 45-50 % and then a 4-5 hour charge. After that use your Droid and take it down to 30%. Another 6-8 hour charge and then down to no lower then 20-25% and one more full 8 hour charge. At that point your battery should be rebuilt back to a normal life cycle. This should eliminate your battery as a possible problem.

Droid Turbo missing calls, delivering texts late, not capturing call history, not updating e-mails

My wife got the Droid Turbo Ballistic Nylon just before Christmas as a replacement for her iPhone. She has been complaining that she is not getting calls, e-mails, text messages, voice mail messages. Last night, my son called her twice from California and there was no answer. Checking her phone there is no voice mail from him and her call history shows no attempts. I re-booted the phone and she suddenly got a flood of e-mails, call history, texts messages. She uses this for business and this is negatively impacting her buisness.
This morning I did a test. I forwarded an e-mail from her phone to me and then I replied to that e-mail, which is set up as IMAP on all devices. I could see my reply on her PC but nothing her phone minutes later. This test is being done in my home with all devices on the same Wi-Fi network. I re-booted the phone into Safe Mode and the e-mail came through. I don't know if it was just the additional length of time or putting it into Safe Mode. Based on the number of issues with multiple applications (she also says she is losing contact information) I am beginning to think that this is a hardware or OS problem. Anybody have any ideas?

I know that IMAP is sometimes set to auto-sync only every 15 min or more, according to default or user set amount of time. When you rebooted, the phone auto-synced with the email server. As far as missed calls and those not showing in logs, I'm not sure. I can say this though, I was missing calls and voicemails and came to find out that the Advanced Calling HD Voice VoLTE updates had negatively impacted my phone's service. I have since disabled and service is better. Perhaps the Turbo also has HD calling enabled and is experiencing similar issues because of that.

Alarm clock draining battery

It appears that after I use the alarm clock (as countdown timer), the alarm clock continues to run even after the alarm is finished. I can see it on the usage timer: even when I know I only used the phone for a few minutes, it may give me 4-5 hours usage, and the battery suddenly drains quickly; it appears the alarm clock prevents the phone from going to sleep. It happens when I stop the alarm using the off-button on the top of the phone. If I go in and exit alarm clock, it stops correctly.
Anybody else experienced this? If you have a quick battery drain, it *could be* alarm clock, weird as it may sound. I was very puzzled with why my battery suddenly drained quickly, until I narrowed it down to alarm clock.

Droid Turbo battery issues

I have had my Droid Turbo for 3 days now and the battery has not been very impressive. I have switched networks from global to LTE/CDMA and WiFi scanning off along with screen on auto brightness and after I unplug phone from a charge it drops 2% within 10-15 minutes and continues to decrease gradually with little to no use. Any ideas?

Even new phone Li-ion batteries need to have build charge lifecycle sometimes. Do a full 6-8 hour charge with device in sleep mode, next run it down to about 35 % and then a 3- 4 hour charge. After that use your Droid and take it down to 20%. Another 6-7 hour charge and then down to no lower then 5-10% and one fuller 8 hour charge. At that point your battery should be built to a normal life cycle. This should eliminate your battery problem if all is working normal.

Droid Turbo: Calls and Internet

One of the only and biggest complaints of the new Droid Turbo: not being able to browse the internet or certain apps while placing a call. What is up with that?? Who can I complain to specifically?? This is a big setback.My Plans & Services DROID TURBO

Droid Turbo 64gb call volume qualitity

Just got my Droid Turbo 64gb Ballistic Nylon a couple days ago. All great except call volume. Even at max volume I can barely hear the caller. But the caller hears me fine. Same thing when using speaker phone. My Moto X Xt1060 that this phone replaced was much better on call volume and clarity.
Anyone else having this issue?

Turning off Audio Effects in apps/settings/sound/audio effects worked for me.
And I do not have a case or screen protector as yet for this phone. Make sure neither cover the speaker slits on on front
top of the phone.
