Alarming problem with alarms

One of my kids thought it would be amusing to set a raunchy .aif file as an iCal alarm. While it was funny the first time (and at home), it's not something I wanted to keep. I deleted the .aif file and thought that was the end of it. The problem is that the audio file still exists in some sort of cached form somewhere. It still appears as a sound alert in iCal and I can't seem to find any way to delete it from the list of available sounds. Worse, it seems to have taken over the alert sound from every other calendar event. For example, I have a recurring event set to alert me with the Basso sound, yet this vulgar outburst plays instead. It's very embarrassing in the office. I've taken to muting my MBP, lest I get an iCal alert while I'm away from my desk.
Does anyone know where I can find the iCal audio files and how I can blow it away once and for all?

This is what I was fearing, but I guess it's the only option. It's strange though that this possibility doesn't exist. Alarms from PLCs and other equipment is often transferred as bit information in for example some kind of integer. I guess NI has some improvement potential on this one.

Nano problems with Alarm clocks(lik e Luna or others)

I have a new nano 4gb, and an Xtrememac Luna... My old ipod 2nd gen worked perfecly, the new nano has problems instead.. When my alarm function lit the ipod, it does not play the song, but remain in pause... The nano wakes up, but old nano started to play the song, this stands in pause. Why this? Can I hope in a fix or something? many people have this problem...
Possible solutions?

Since there was no reply from Apple so far I called their service today.
The claimed that this problem was not known with the devices which they are selling and that they can't tell about 3rd party alarm clocks.
Big news! Who would have thought of that answer?
Well I then called the manufacturer of my alarm clock which is called "auvisio", one of these cheap copies. They knew about the problem with the nano 3G on thier device and said that they can't offer a solution so far. They offered RMA which I would say is quite nice of them but it doesn't help me much with my wake-up-problem in the morning.
I already settled with the thought that I would have to buy the more expensive Apple stuff but as I read above even Bose seems to have the problem. Complete confusion.
Hopefully firmware 1.0.3 will be released soon and can finally solve these problems. Release 1.0.2 definitely was a step into the opposite direction...

Problems with alarm

Hi,
Have had a problem with the alarm on my iPhone since I updated my 3GS to IOS4. The problem is I had about 10 recurring alarms before I updated that have literally multiplied by thousands now. There are so many i cannot even get into the alarm part of the clock app with out it crashing. This is very annoying because so many go off at once that it causes the iPhone to crash because of RAM shortage and this happens every day, a solid hour of my iPhone going crazy between the hours of 7am to 8 am. Worse still when i upgraded to the iPhone 4 the bug came with it!
Would anyone have any idea how to fix this? I keep praying for a patch!

Problems with Alarm/Alert (app MicrosSalat)

A few days ago my Nokia Lumia 820 had some issues that ranged from apps closing abbruptly, frozen screen, frozen app (once i opened the app, the phone would freeze and the calibration for the touch screen suddenly wasn't working right) and when I got a call the screen would freeze and I would be unanble to answer the phone.
Because of that, I switched off my phone and then took out the battery and waited a few minutes before putting the battery back in and starting up my phone. Everything seemed to be working except the alerts for the app Microsalat. This is an app that lets me know when the time comes to pray. The alerts should only be one, but two alerts would go off in tandem. I had even uninstalled the app and the alerts still go off (though without the alarm sounding, it would just pop up at the time of prayer). The app worked fine before this issue happened and there wasn't an update issued for the app (but i did update other apps prior to the original issues the phone had faced).
Is there a way to fix this double alert/alarm problem?

Nokia 5800 Updated Firmware - Problems with Alarms

I have just updated to Custom Version 40.0.005.C01.01 and have a similar problem to other owners.
When my phone is locked and a reminder comes on, linked to the Calendar, I have no way of Stopping the alarm.
I have tried removing the battery, as suggested for other problems, but that doesn't work.
Any advice welcome

Problem with alarms in clock app

I set an alarm for 7:30 am for Saturdays and Sundays, but the alarm sounds at 6:30. it shows up as "weekends" properly, and my phone is set to the correct time and time zone and daylight savings is correct. I checked to make sure that it was from the apple clock app by changing the sound, and I tried deleting and adding a new alarm, but it keeps going off an hour early.
is there a better solution than switching to a 3rd-party app?

Problems with 'Alarm Clock'

Good day.
I use my Ipod as Alarm Clock - it's pretty good to wake up while listening to the favourite music. I made it to start playing playlist without beeping.
I don't know why, but sometimes (after watching video, listening to the music before I go to bed) my alarm clock doesn't work correctly: when it's time to wake up, it just shows a message *wake up* as usually, but without playing music, so I'm being late for some times already...
Please, tell me what to do, how to fix this problem, 'cause I hate ordinary beeping alarm clocks.
P.S.: Sorry, if my english isn't very good.

Pick a sound, song, etc. for the alarm and make sure it is not the default one.

E71 date problem with alarm on working days

I've a E71 (firmware : 110.07.127)
I use the alarm function to wake up me during the week. There is no alarm on week-end. I switch of my phone off every night and on the week end when on saturday i switch it on the date is the friday date. The time is the good one.
It's a problem because this morning my phone alarm does't work and when i turn my phone on the date was the last sadurday one

5800 alarm problems with v40 firmware

After doing the update to v40 my alarm does not work properly (on both my 5800's), when the alarm goes off and the stupid orange and red bars come up saying snooz and stop they do nothing ! I hit them and the alarm just keeps going and going, I have to hit the red menu button and it goes to snooz mode, is there a way to revert back to v31 as I really do not like this newer v40 firmware.

You have got to be kidding me. Everybody else was complaining about the keyboard not switching to full qwerty when rotated now you are complaining why it does that. Its not dumb, its called market request. And I like it better actually. I hate the landscape alphanumeric, and I know a lot would agree with me. Its not intuitive enough, the lansdscape alphanumeric.
The connecting to wireless network is probably due to a messaging application your wife has on the phone. Its a normal thing since messaging applications like that do that since they are meant to be always connected to the web.

Nokia 5800 - problem with alarm

Hi,
I set up the alarm for 6am, from Monday to Friday (workdays) but everyday it goes off at 6:04 (4 minutes later)!
No matter when I want the alarm to go off, it's 4 minutes late.
What can I do?

or you can just set it up for 5:56am so you can hear that lovely alarm at 6am haha. gee come on, this is not that big of a problem

Problem With Alarm Clock and Ringtones

Two nights ago i set my alarm for 5:00am on my Blackberry Storm2. The next morning the alarm did not go off. When i checked the phone i tested the ringtone associated with the alarm and it came back with an error message that said the phone could not find the ring tone. I then noticed that all ring tones did not work, my phone did not ring when called, the phone also did not make any alert sounds. I tried several different ring tones and I received all the same messages.
I did a battery pull on my phone and that seemed to fix all the issues so I did not thing anything of it. I tried it again this morning and the same thing. I did not do the battery pull this morning as I was going to leave the errors on the phone to bring back to Verizon. I even tried calling the phone this morning and it would not ring or sound any alerts. All of a suddent about 3 hours later my phone starting ringing from a phone call and alll the ring tones started working
I have not added any ring tones to my phone all of these ring tones are the factory installed ones. Both nights I have the phone on my dresser face down and not attached to any charging wires. I did add music to my media card 2 days ago using the ITunes Snyc but have not created any ring tones at all.
Would anyone know what is causing this issue?

in my opinion this is a media cache issue.
activate Mass Storage mode and connect your device to your PC.
using the Explorer of the PC, view the Storm's two harddrives and especially the hidden files. You should see a file named BBThumbs.dat in every folder that contains a media file. Delete all those BBThumbs.dat files.
those files are media cache, and they may sometimes get corrupt. Deleting them will force the Media Manager to recreate the cache entirely.

Screen lock problems with Alarm, etc...

The Alarm notification window goes away too quickly.
I have the screen lock setting ON (so I have to slide the yellow ball up). I also have the screen lock time set to one minute.
When the alarm goes off (IF it goes off, which is another bug) the screen turns on with the slider indicating an alarm is going off, but it quickly goes away.
It doesn't stay active for the minute I have set.
Thus, I have to hit the button, then unlock the screen to snooze the alarm.
Also I noticed that the screen lock, well, works whenever it wants to. Sometimes Im asked to slide the ball, other times I am not. I should be qued to do this every time I tap the power button.
All these little bugs are making me a little leery of my Pre purchase...

I was on vacation this weekend and set my Pre alarm to go off both mornings. The first morning it went off, but the touch screen, volume buttons, unlock, etc. were all frozen. Nothing had any effect on the Pre whatsoever. Had to completely shut down the Pre.
The next morning, it simply didn't go off at all. Triple-check the settings, and all were correct. Just deecided to not work.

Problem with Alarm

My Q5 started acting weird last evening...Whenever I set the alarm, an alarm (clock) icon appears on the top left of the screen. But now after setting the alarm, the icon does not appear. The alarm also fails to work even when one has set it. I am updating the OS now but does anyone know any help on this?

You must activate the alarm
You can configure it but you need to activate the alarm.
Slide your finger from top to bottom goes into alarm
You see a clock and time settings
You must activate the alarm 1 button activates the blue.

Alarming problem with MSI RX3870

First of all I would like to apologize if I posted this on the wrong section.
Anyway here is the problem It all started when I started to play Tom Clancy's HAWX and Wanted Weapons of Faith. I dunno whats wrong I updated my video card driver, Checked the connection and even cleaned my Video card. But still after a few minutes of playing the game my Graphics gets messed up. I was unable to take a screenshot since i cant open the paint coz i cant read anything on my screen so I used my cam phone to take pictures of it. Here's what it looks like.
This only happened a few weeks ago. dunno if my video card is messed up or anything. But if I ain't playing any games this don't happen. Need help guys

Also after I restart my Computer everything is back to normal and if i started to play again. same thing happens again :( Also just ignore the window in the middle of the picture its just a program I recently installed for deamon tools.

N82 - Alarm problem

Hi,
I bought a N82.
I have a bug : my alarm clock doesn't work when my phone is off.
In my calendar, all my tasks with alarm work correctly.
I have only problem with alarm in the "Clock" application, to wake-up.
The alarm didn't turn on the phone, sometimes the Nokia logo has been on the screen and seems to get jammed during the bootup process..
Does anyone else have this issue or have any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Something must be causing problems during startup.
Have you installed any 3rd part apps? If so remove them one by one to find out which one is causing the problem.
Or you could try a hard reset if you want a quick fix. You will need to backup everything from the phones memory that you want to keep.
Hard reset:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. Release when the phone shows the nokia logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
