Album art mess

HY. I recently updated my ipod touch 4g software to version 4.3 .3. The problem is that it messed up my album art pictures. So now when I listen to a song from let's say marilyn manson instead of seeing his album art I see another one from another song like mozart or any other song. And if I delete the album art it replaces it with another random one.Is there any way to fix this problem?

I don't have the music in my itunes library. And when you sync the content of the ipod gets replaced with the content from itunes library. Is there a way to copy the music to my pc and into the library folder so it will sync the same content ?

  • Album Arts messed up

    Hi,
a percentage of my album artworks appears completely messed up, that is, some tracks have the album art of other trucks, and for some of them the album art is completely missing. On iTunes, album arts are set correctly for every track.
Already tried restoring iPod to defaut settings, deleting all the content and "Show album artwork on iPod" (I'm Italian, so I don't know if it is the right translation).
Also, is there a way to report this bug to Apple in a decent way? I can't find e-mail support or anything except for hardware problems

Hey I am having EXACTLY the same problem. Any help out there??

  • Ipod album art messing up

The album art i put on particular songs keeps getting mixed up on the screen with other albums that i have. This only happens on my ipod. Is there anyway to prevent/fix this?

Go to iTunes, and then go to "About iTunes". If you're using version 9.1.1 (11) you may need to download the newest version here http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install it. That will fix the problem.

  • IPod Album Art Messed Up

For a few months now, my iPod has been showing incorrect artwork for many of my albums, and some of my album art disappears. Unfornately I lost my 70GBs of music to a hard drive crash 2 years ago, so my music is only on my iPod (not in my library). Is there any way to correct this without doing a restore, because I have some things on here I don't wanna lose.

Try this thread:- http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6062086 for an earlier discussion of this issue. There are a number of potential causes however making sure each album title is unique and appears only once seems to be the key to clearing things up. At a guess you're going to find the same album title has been used by more than one band, changing the titles, e.g. *Album, Artist*, should help. Reset & resync isn't likely to help as this is a fault/feature of the firmware.

  • Album Art Messed Up

I have Dancing Queen By ABBA on my iPod, and on Cover Flow, the art is correct, but when i switch to the song itself, it shows a Sugarland cover. I tries resetting my iPod, and even replacing the artwork with teh same image and resyncing it (it was an wav file that I converted to an ACC). That didn't work. Any suggestions?

When in iTunes right click on the song and select Get Info. Then go to the Artwork option and check if there are more than one photo tagged to it. Could be a shot.

  • IPhone Sync issue (and album art messed up)

Whenever I sync my iPhone with iTunes, instead of just updating the media I have changed, it will randomly add anywhere between 30 to 300 songs that were already on my iPhone. It doesn't cause any problems with using the iPhone other then the fact that it takes a really long time to sync even when I don't change anything or add new media to sync with the iPhone.
    So far I have:
-made sure I have the latest updates of iTunes and all software
    -re-set iSync
    -done an archive and install
-had a genius appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store and
    -they replaced my iPhone
...but my problems still exist. And on top of that, all of the album artwork on the iPhone is jumbled up. It looks fine in cover flow, but when I switch to the normal mode it will be the wrong artwork with the wrong song. My album artwork in itunes is not jumbled up, but all of the artwork for the movies and tv shows I have bought and downloaded from the iTunes Store has disappeared and I can't get it back by searching for album artwork.
So, to recap, my 3 main problems are.
    1) iPhone Sync issue
    2) Album artwork jumbled up on iPhone
    3) TV Show and Movie artwork disappearing on iTunes
If anyone can help your time would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
    Andrew

  • Album art on nano messed up

hey my friends iPod nano sometimes shows the wrong album art on the iPod...for example she will be playing a Linkin Park song, and the album art will be something else (e.g. one time it showed Dane Cook instead) and i was jus wondering wha's wrong.... imean the album art is correct on itunes, but usually the same songs show messed up album art, and it is never a full album, it is usually one or two songs off of an album, while the rest of that album is correct......
thanks ahead of time for any help

Restore the iPod and reload the songs from iTunes.

  • Nano + iTunes 7 = Messed up Album Art

when I updated to itunes 7 my album art now is messed up. About one of five of every piece of album art is just a bunch of random colored pixels.
Anyone else experiencing bugs like this?
I am running the latest version of the updater. It also occurs when I use the previous version of updater (which I've had to do to get my audio books to function without hangs (another bug).
I'm hoping these get addressed in the next versions of iTunes and the updater. I love my nano, esp when it is functioning smoothly.

Is the artwork messed up in iTunes, on your iPod, or both?
Also, the iPod Updater doesn't really exist anymore. The iPod Updater is built into iTunes. So, when you connect your iPod up to your computer, update its software through iTunes.

  • Sync Messed up Album Art

The last time I synched my iPhone, album artwork from a few of the songs was transferred to podcasts.  For instance, "Car Talk" podcasts now have the "Speaking in Tongues" (Talking Heads) album cover art.  How can I fix this and restore the NPR Car Talk logo?
    Thanks.

I have had a similar issue, but much more...started with the messed up album art, and now the following problems are happening (5th Generation 30 GB ipod):
won't play video - Just black screen for 10 seconds, then back to menu
sometimes won't play podcasts - when clicking on podcast it goes to the play screen and then without the timer moving it acts as if it's played the entire podcast, and goes back to menu.
also, sometimes the music or podcast gets terribly garbled almost like "electronic noise"
I have restored 2 times, and reset numerous times, but it continues to happen!!

  • My Album Art on my iPod is so messed up!

Please Help! On my library on my computer, my album art pictures are on the right songs, but on my iPod, different pictures show up for different songs. Let's saw for Mika there might be a picture of Fall Out Boy or even a movie still! I'm not sure how to fix this, so please help! I've tried unplugging and plugging my iPod back in, but nothing seems to work!
iPod Video 5th Generation   Windows 2000

Try unchecking "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod.
Then check "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when youd iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod again.
This should resync the album artwork to the iPod.
If this does not work, you might need to restore the iPod and reload the songs in order to correct this error.

  • Messed up Album Art

The album art for my Queen greatest hits 1, II, and III were the way they were supposed to be origionally, but I transeferred my files onto another computer and now when I try to get the album art from the files of mine that I've imported Itunes retrieves the wrong art. This is puzzling because I can see in the store that they have the appropriate and origional artwork that I had. for greatest hits one I get Queen Ekanem greatest hits and for greatest hits two I get the artwork for #3, which is as it should be.

Can you please describe in a little more detail?
Did you restore to factory settings on the iPhone? (settings-general-restore-restore all settings)? Then syncing again?
I see some suggest to disable music syncing (removing all music) the reenable music syncing. That will take long time!
I also see some suggest first disable "show album artwork on iPhone", syncing, reenable "show album artwork" and then syncing again.

  • My new iTunes messed up my iPods album art

I updated my 5G video iPod... and everything seemed fine until I tried playing an album on my iPod after the update. Apparenlty if I'm playing, lets just say the song "One", by U2 on the album Achtung Baby, for example... it will play fine, BUT IT WILL SHOW ANOTHER ALBUM'S ARTOWKR WITH THE ALBUM. For example instead of showing Achtung Baby's cover for the song "One", it shows the cover for a Pearl Jam album or something.
I have no idea how to make it stop, and just show the normal album art. I've played Mars Volta, Pearl Jam... etc... and they all show other bands album art for the albums. It seems to be entirely thrown off and doesn't know how to show an albums PROPER album art.
Someone please tell me they know how to fix this.

Highlight the ipods name in iTUnes. Hit the "Music" tab and UNCHECK "Display Album artwork on your ipod" then hit "Apply" in the lower right corner of itunes. THis will update your ipod. Wait for it to finish updating.
When its done updating just CHECK the box again and hit "Apply" again and let it update.
What happend is the ipods DB (Database) got allittle "Fudged up" and doing these steps makes iTUnes rewrite the ipods DB. Its not an issue with the update or iTUnes, its happened in other versions

  • Album art is distorted or messed up and music does not play correctly

I recently restored my iPod touch 2g to 4.2.1 and my album art looks mispositioned and distorted as you can see here:
    http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b188/kalvin126/IMG_0001.png
    http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b188/kalvin126/IMG_0002.png
However, album art is displayed correctly in Cover Flow and in iTunes
Another issure I have is that every song on my iPod Touch does not start at the beginning, it starts at the middle and plays for a few minutes then goes to the beginning of the song.
Is there anyway to fix this?
    Message was edited by: kalvin126

Yes they are correct in iTunes
I have tried that but it would reproduce the problem
I also get the error messages "The iPod cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found." and "The iPod cannot be synced. An error occurred while writing to the device."

  • Album art all messed up

The album art on my iPod (on iPhone) is all mixed up. On iTunes (on my computer) it's all correct. How do I fix this?

What happens if you remove both albums involved in a mix-up then add them back one at a time? E.g. the U2 & John Legend albums... Do these albums share a title by any chance? iTunes & iPods have issues with albums that have the same name but are by different artists, e.g. "Greatest Hits". Various forms of tag inconsistency such as mixed casing ("The Album" and "The album") or using Sort fields to merge different values of artist may cause also indexing problems. If you can't find any other resolution then you could delete the *Album Artwork* folder and force iTunes to rebuild the album artwork cache from scratch, although this will remove any store downloaded artwork.

  • A late majority of the album art on my iPod Touch is mixed up.

I put a CD in my laptop to import it to iTunes. I unplugged my iPod and all the album art in my music (all of which I had purchased on iTunes) was mixed up. Say, a Lady Gaga song still played Lady Gaga but the album art was one of my Katy Perry songs. I've tried restoring all settings but it's still messed up. I need help, please.

    You are not alone. Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
