Album art on ipod

Hey
This is no biggie but today I noticed that with the album art on my ipod it shows up fine with the song, i'll double click the centre button to show a bigger picture of the album cover and it comes up as a blank box. This is really wierd coz like half of the songs in the same album will do this, but half will show, so this is really random. Does this mean its a problem with the ipod? Everything is set to have album art displaying in itunes so thats no problem...

Have you tried resetting your iPod? This could be just a temporary glitch in the iPod that restarting would fix:
Press and hold the Menu and Select (middle of clickwheel) buttons together for about 5-10 seconds.
You might need to try this several times.

The next time you connect your iPod, and you are automatically syncing, the iPod will be updated with that information. If you are manually managing the songs on the iPod you may need to re-add them.
In another thread when the songs were not loading the artwork, it was resolved by unchecking the album art option, and rechecking it.
Your iPod needs to be one with a Color Display to support artwork. This includes iPod Photo, iPod w/Color Display, iPod 5G, or iPod Nano.

No ALBUM ART on IPOD (already tried many fixes)

I used iTunes Art Importer by YVG Software to import album art for most of my music. I can see the art in itunes/winamp/etc but not on my ipod. When i first loaded all of my songs onto my ipod it would show up for every song without problems. I then put my ipod back in its dock (connected to computer), let it charge, then disconnected. After that all the album art disspeared. I have already tried these fixes:
-Disable album art in ipod options, disconnect, reconnect, enable
-Uncheck all of my songs in itunes (select all, right click, uncheck)
Now when i uncheck all of my songs on the ipod in itunes it temporarily fixes my problem and all the album art will show up again after a disconnect. As soon as i plug my ipod back into my system and open itunes the songs will be checked again. Of course, this disables my album art. It takes about 15 minutes to uncheck all of the songs again and really bogs my computer down in the meantime. I find this to be completely unacceptable for a $300 piece of equipment. Is there anyone else out there with this problem and is there any known fixes for this? Hopefully this is addressed in 1.2...

Most albums missing album art on iPod Touch after updating to iOS 7

Hi there,
I updated my 5th-gen iPod Touch to iOS 7 yesterday.
As the activation servers were overloaded for most of the afternoon, the update failed for me and my iPod touch ended up wiped and in recovery mode.
I installed a blank iOS 7 and then restored my settings from the previous day's iCloud backup.
I then reuploaded all my music from iTunes to the iPod.
Most of the album art is missing from the iPod and it's making me very sad. All the album art is visible in iTunes, so this is rather confusing. There seems to be no consistency to it, between albums I bought on iTunes or albums I bought elsewhere and ripped to MP3 and added to my iTunes library, or albums for which I got the art directly from iTunes or by adding it myself.
I'm using a PC with Windows 8 and the latest version of iTunes, if this matters.
Any ideas?

That happens sometimes
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Album Art on iPod touch gone

On my W7 PC I moved my Music foder to a different drive. From C to D using a W7 tool to do the move. Everything is perfect in my iTunes, the music plays and all the info and Album Art covers are OK.
However, on my iPod touch, although the music is all there and plays correctly, the Cover Flow just shows the Note icon. No album art. I tried all kinds of syncing but it does not show up.

No, the backup should only cover stuff like the data & settings related to your apps. The apps themselves and any media remain in the iTunes library. After restoring the iPod it should be possible to restore the device from the backup and have all the settings and data come back. I've done a full restore once on my iPhone and that went OK but there's always a risk that you'll have to go back to an "as new" setup. Once the device is restored the media library will be rebuilt from scratch which should repair any issues you currently have with the artwork cache.

Album art on iPod Touch

Help! I've downloaded Album art for every song on my iPod Touch - although the album art matches each song correctly in my iTunes library on my desktop, about 1/3 of the songs have the incorrect album art on my iPod. For example, a song by Chicago that has Chicago album art on my iTunes library, displays album art for Flo Rida when that Chicago song is playing on my iPod. Some songs have the correct album art, but others do not. I've tried to delete the album art, re-download it and then reload the song to my iPod, but it doesn't always work. Any suggestions?

Fixed my problem with the artwork. I just went to amazon.com and searched for the albums where the artwork was getting mixed up on my iPod Touch. I would right click on the album artwork on amazon.com and select copy. Then I would select all the songs from that album in my iTunes and right click to get info for all the album tracks. Then just paste the album artwork. It took two syncs (for some reason), but at least now all my album artwork is right in both my iTunes library and iPod Touch. Easy to do, but time consuming. One downside, some images on amazon.com aren't the highest quality. In those cases I would do a google search of the album name and click the images tab to find the best quality images. Then use the same copy and paste technique.

Can't get album art on ipod classic since iTunes 9

Hi there,
I have an 80GB iPod and since iTunes 9 i've had artwork issues.
On the first sync i did since iTunes 9 the artwork got mixed up on many songs (i.e. while playing one song it would show the album art for a different song on the ipod).
So I re-formatted the iPod and re-synched everything to it (which took hours since I have almost all 80GB used). Now there is no artwork at all on the iPod and I can't figure out how to get it back! I see no option anywhere saying to sync album art as well as music, and I swear I saw it in a previous iTunes.
The artwork is definitely in iTunes and definitely written into the ID3 tags of the songs so I'm not sure how to fix this, any ideas?

same experience here, looks like itunes 9 doesn't edit id3 tags for album artwork coz it has a separate cache or folders where artworks of the songs are stored. so when i play an mp3 in itunes it shows that it has an album artwork but it wont show up when i use to play the same file via wmp or winamp. as of now, the work around that i know of is to manually add the album artwork in ur ipod via itunes.

Play multiple album art in ipod G5

I can see multiple album art for a single song in itune by clicking on the right arrow above the image, but when I transfer the songs to ipod I can only see one of the images. and that is a reduced sized image, even if I double click the center button on the click wheel. Can I increase the size of the image on the G5 ipod, or show several images?

How to get album art on iPod?

How do you get a picture of the front of an album to come up on your iPod when you play that album? The computer I am loading the songs onto it with has no internet connection, however I do have another computer with iTunes also that does have a web connection (but no firewire, so I can't use it to upload the songs). Anyway, is there somewhere I can download the art for all the albums in my collection and then transfer that to the iTunes on my offline PC and get it to put that album art on the iPod 5G?

Here are a couple of methods.
First off, make sure you have "show album art" enabled in iPod options.  Go to Google Image Search and type in the artist/album name and click on search images.   Double click on a picture you like, then at the top of that page click on "see full size image".   When you get that image, simply copy/paste it into the space for album artwork in iTunes.   Make sure you select the album in the browser of iTunes before you copy/paste.   You'd be surprised what Google Images can bring up. There are literally millions, and even obscure album artwork can be found.
In the unlikely event that Google can’t find an image, you can also get artwork from Amazon.
If you’re happy using images from Amazon, and don’t want to copy/paste, then iTunes Art Importer is a nice free program to do it for you.

Doesn't matter anyway since the iPod 5th gen (video) cannot transfer songs etc via firewire only USB.

Incorrect Album Art in iPod (G5, 80g)

Some of the album art is incorrect on my iPod. It's OK in iTunes.
The last time this happened, I had to restore.
Is there another way?

How do I display Album art on iPod 20GB color?

In iTunes I set the album art for each song, but I can't seem to find out how to display it in the iPod itself. Please help.

Downloading album art to ipod

I have an ipod video 20 GB. I can get album art on to itunes with no problem, but I cannot get the image to appear on my ipod when the song plays. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Make sure you have the preference enabled to view album art on your iPod. You have to connect the iPod to your computer and check the iPod preferences through iTunes.

Missing album art on iPod

All the time my iPod does not recieve the album art pictures that I match up with each individual song. It happens at random. Some songs have no picture and others are assigned the wrong picture. This is real frusterating. I have everything in order on iTunes (pictures with their songs), but my iPod does not seem to get the pictures right. If my iTunes is all in order, then why is my iPod not in order too??? I spend way too much time trying to fix these problems and not enough enjoying the program.

Have you tried resetting your iPod? Doing so has fixed my iPod album art problem (though it's not the same one you are having.)

Multiple album art on iPod

Has anyone tried viewing multiple artwork per song on their iPod? I've got several albums that have bland cover art, so I put the cover art and some other photos on indvidual songs. I can view the mutliple art in iTunes but can't see it on the iPod. I do see the cover art just not the indivaul art. any help would be much appreciated?

Yes i am a windows user. I don't think you are fully understanding me though.
I know very well you can add artwork to a song and to a number of songs at once, like you say NetBuzz. But adding MULTIPLE artwork to MULTIPLE tracks all in one go. It is not possible from the way you explain NetBuzz, you can only add one piece of artwork with multiple tracks highlighted/selected. You can not add mutliple artwork with multiple tracks highlighted/selected.
I was wondering whether there is a way of adding multiple artwork whilst multiple tracks are highlighted....
