Album art sometimes doesn't display in grid view

The album art now displays erratically in grid view. If 10 albums are showing, maybe 4 will be missing art. All art seems to display properly in every other view. Is this a bug introduced in recent upgrades?

have the same problem. some artwork doesnt show up in "Albums" view but in all other views. curious to hear if somebody knows something.

  • Album art - increase size on display?

    I've just started using the Nano and I've been enjoying it tremendousl. One of the huge benefits of this device over my old players is the ability to display album art. However, the size is really small. I understand that it will be small when it is displaying song information alongside of it. But when you scroll to where it only displays the album art, it doesn't cover the entire screen, the way a photo is displayed. Is there a way to increase the size of the album art so that it does show across the entire screen?

    Not sure if I have the same problem or not. My album art work shows up fine on the i-pod and in the small "now playing" window on the lower left of my pc but the main view window shows that "Itunes is unabke to browse album covers on this computer". I was always able to view this for as long as I have had the i-pod in the past before but now cant. On my PC (I tunes)the "Cover flow view" is selected and no matter what preference is selected the same message comes up and can not see album art work anymore on main window above song list.

    Hello,
    All of a sudden, the icons in folders no longer display in Grid view, but only in the other kinds of view list etc.
    Please, I need your help since that is the preferred method I use to display my icons
    Here is a link to the screenshot of what I see for further reference:

  • WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT sometimes doesn't display the generated PDF file

    Hi all,
    I'm using the following code to generated my report from Forms:<br><br>
    V_REPORT_ID := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT(V_REPORT_NAME);
    V_REPORT_SERVER_JOB:= RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(V_REPORT_ID,P_LIST);
        V_JOB_ID := substr(V_REPORT_SERVER_JOB,length(:GLOBAL.REPORTS_SERVER)+2,length(V_REPORT_SERVER_JOB));
        V_REPORT_STATUS := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(V_REPORT_SERVER_JOB);
    LOOP
       IF V_REPORT_STATUS = 'FINISHED' THEN
          V_TMP_PDF := :GLOBAL.APACHE_HTML_FOLDER ||'rpt'|| V_JOB_ID  ||'.pdf' ;
         COPY_REPORT_OBJECT_OUTPUT(V_REPORT_SERVER_JOB, V_TMP_PDF );
        WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT(:GLOBAL.AS_HOME_URL ||  'rpt'|| V_JOB_ID  ||'.pdf' ,'_BLANK');
        END IF;
    END LOOP; <br><br>
    Everything works fine except the WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT part. In some clients, this command does what it required from it and opens a new browser window with the PDF report displayed on it. In some other clients, this command does nothing: now window dispalyed. When I refer to the Application Server, I see the PDF report successfully generated there. When I put the URL of the generated report manually in the browser address, I can see the report.
    <br><br>
    <b>Why the WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT doesn't display the generated PDF report in some clients?</b>

    I agree with the previous 2 posters.
    Also firefox and ie handle it differently. Make sure you test on what your clients use.
    Sometimes acrotray.exe is completely retarded and doesn't work.

  • ITunes 11.1.5 Album Art Work Does Not Display in Vehicle

    Since iTunes 11.1.5, none of my album art work displays in my vehicle (Honda Civic 2013).  I'm fairly certain the fault is with iTunes, since I tried a new iPod Classic AND an iPhone 4 in my vehicle, with the same results.
    Is anyone else having this problem?  Has anyone found a fix?  Or do I need to wait for an iTunes update?
    Last question:  Apple Support seems like a ridiculously LONG, convoluted process.  Is there a "bug" link where I can easily report?
    Regards,
    Nancy

    I somehow doubt Apple would even see technical support for playing their devices in third party players as their purview and you first step would be to go to Honda for this kind of issue.

  • Album art window doesn't follow selection

    In the Windows version of iTunes, the Album Art window is updated simply by selecting another song by clicking or using the arrow keys, without neccesarily changing the currently playing song.
    In the Mac version of iTunes, it seems that you have to actually play the song to get its art to show in the Album Art window. Any idea why or how to make it work like the Windows version?
    thanks!

    when in iTunes look at the box that displays the artwork for the songs. At the top of that box you will probably see something that says Song Playing. To the left of that you should see a small arrow inside of a circle. Click on that arrow and the album artwork ox will switch to the displaying the selected song, instead of the one that is playing.
    I hope this helps...

  • Album Art work does not display

    So, in my iTunes my album artwork is not displayed. The files are on my computer, they just don't show up on my iTunes. I noticed the problem after I upgraded to Leopard, but in all honesty I could have had the problem before that without noticing. So, anyone have any ideas of what might be going on?

  • Artwork sometimes doesn't display properly in iTunes 10

    I'm seeing that in iTunes 10 when you choose 'Album by Artist' mode and display Album artwork as 'Large' it will not display at all if the there are not enough songs to create a high enough area for the artwork to fit. It seems to be when you have 6 songs or less this happens. What I would expect to happen in is case would be that the artwork size chosen would dictate the height of the area for the Album. In other words the Album area would resize to accomodate the artwork even if it meant that there was blank space after the rows of songs in the list.

    Katrina, Thanks very much! That does exactly what I was looking for; I guess I overlooked that one in the menu.

  • V2.2 bug: Album art sometimes appears as still frames from video podcasts

    I subscribe to the CNN "in case you missed it" video podcast. I have noticed that intermittently, the album art appearing on the iPhone screen for the playing song is a "stolen" frame from one of the CNN video podcasts. I have taken screenshots when this occurs and I can post them if desired.
    This is a question that I will mark as answered when I see that the problem has been corrected in a future firmware.

    This bug seems to have been fixed in IOS 3

  • Song name won't display in grid view

    I have long had a problem whereby the song-name column was missing when viewing a single album from the grid view. There is an archived, unanswered question on the very same question here: http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1818126
    I have never as yet found a conclusive answer to this problem, and I've watched several new versions of the software come and go with no fix.
    Well, for the benefit of those still suffering that problem, I'm here to tell you today that I have a conclusive fix!
    For those impatient among you, just do this: http://bit.ly/gf8P0m.
    For everyone else, let me tell you unequivocally that it's NOT (directly) a problem with the software. It basically seems to be down to library corruption of some sort. I know it sounds strange that an entire column could go missing due to data, but I have proven it as follows:
    I created a new test account on my Mac, opened up iTunes and started to import my music from my main account. After a few albums had imported, I cancelled the import and looked at the library - fine. Then, I completely uninstalled iTunes from my main account and reinstalled a fresh copy. This did not solve the problem, but it proved that even with fresh software, the problem persisted and the previous test showed that the software was fine with a fresh user.
    So, next I tried to rebuild my library, and that's what worked. Basically, you need to delete your itunes library xml file and the (compiled?) itunes library file (.itl) BUT DO NOT delete the iTunes Music Library.xml file... this is the key to it all...... you're gonna use that file to import the whole library as a playlist so you're not starting from scratch.
    Here's the instructions from Apple: http://bit.ly/gf8P0m
    Hope this helps anyone that's still stuck with this problem.

    Thanks! I have long had this problem, but before I do this... am I going to lose any data from my music library (ratings, playlists, play counts, custom artwork, etc.) if I follow these steps carefully? I have a large library and it won't be worth having to re-enter/lose a bunch of things just to retrieve this column.

  • LR2 - multiple image exif doesn't work, in Grid View

    In Grid View, I need to place the same information in EXIF Label and Caption fields in multiple selected images. It doesn't matter if I select them all first and then type the information, or enter it into one image, select the others, and then paste the information. Only 1 image will accept the information at a time. I have to cut and paste the info into each image individually.
    (I know I posted this question earlier, but it seems to have gotten lost after one response that did not solve the problem, sorry....)
    bill

    To start off, you can't change any EXIF data using the metadata panel in LR. All the EXIF fields are "read-only".
    You didn't indicate your OS, but here's the procedure on the Mac version (I think it's indentical on Windows):
    Be sure you are in grid mode in the library (the G shortcut key).
    Select the images to be changed.
    Enter the info in the caption field in the metadata panel on the right, and press enter.
    How exactly are you doing it?

  • JPanel sometimes doesn't display correctly

    I have this JFrame which contains a single JPanel as its content pane. I have the paintComponent() overriden so that the panel paints a background that creates the basis for the GUI. The problem is that sometimes when I run the program (I've tried it on different computers too) instead of the background showing up with the text field on top of it, the background turns grey and only the text field that recieves focus by defualt shows up. I can make the other stuff show up too by clicking on it. It's as if I hadn't set setVisible() to true and it only happens some of the time. Here is a watered down version of the program but it still has the problem.

            dev.setFullScreenWindow(PF.interfaceFrame);
            PF.showLoginScreen();
        }//end of main
    }You'll need to suplement some of your own images. loginImg- a background image (if you haven't figured it out already this is a login screen for a program). exitButton and exitButtonPressed- any old 'X' like image that pleases you!
    Also, do I need to put a setVisible(true) for each component or will doing it for the frame alone be sufficient? Should I be using another format for the background image, ImageIcon seems less like an image and more like a Icon. Any other things that I have that are repetitive, missing, or just plain stupid?
    Thanks in Advance
    Colin
    P.S. The most helpful person will recieve 3 duke dollars! Good luck.

    Answer to your reply 1: we're using a (GridBag) layout manager in this one. The layout manager takes care of locating components under varying conditions. The only tricksy thing in this layout is the cooperation of the two gbc.weighty constraints in determining the height of the three&#8211;component group (of the two textfields and the wrongLogin label). Using a lower number for the top constraint and a larger number for the bottom weighty will move the group higher on the screen. The opposite settings will lower the group. It really depends on the height of the exit button. Once you get the height of the group set where you want it (with the constraints) it should resize nicely in different monitors.

  • Browser plugin sometimes doesn't display PDF, just a blank region

    Hi,
    I'm running Slackware 13.37 (32-bit), with Adobe Reader 9.4.2 and Firefox 5.0.1. I have the browser plugin installed, but sometimes it does not work. As in the thread title, the document fails to display, with just a black region appearing in the browser. Sometimes, if I refresh the page a number of times, I can get the document to display. Sometimes just waiting seems to help, but not always. This isn't restricted to one particular document. It happens (seemingly) at random. sometimes a given document will display in the browser, but not at others. I can't seem to reproduce the problem consistently, making it harder to fix, I suppose. This does not seem to be a problem with my Firefox profile; I started with a new profile and the problem still occurs. The Firefox error console gives no messages pertaining to the problem :/.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    I'm seeing the same on 32-bit Fedora 15 with:
    firefox-6.0.2-1.fc15.i686
    nspluginwrapper-1.4.4-1.fc15.i686
    AdobeReader_enu-9.4.2-1.i486
    If I kill any pdf plugin process like the following:

    then it works again.  I'm going to try running without the wrapper for a bit.  Won't help my 64-bit users though.
