Album artwork isn't showing correctly

Hi,
This morning, I noticed all my music was erased from my iPhone, so I put the music back on. Problem solved. Except for the fact the the album artwork is having a spaz attack. So for example, my taylor swift album artwork will be cannibal instead. the song plays fine. I took the music off and put it back on. I did this several times and nothing changed. I erased all the music off my phone, erased all the music covers from my itunes library and manually put the correct covers back on. I put the music back on my phone. STILL DOESN'T WORK!!! I've also tried syncing my library.
Thanks in advance
-Ebony

nevermind, I fixed it, I removed everything from my phone once again, went into my itunes library and did what the picture shows

  • Album artwork isn't showing up in album view (where all the albums are) but IS showing up when you drill into the specific album.

The album artwork isn't showing up in the album view where all the different albums are shown but when you drill into the specific album then it is shown.  This seems to be a recent problem as it wasn't happening in the past.

Nope, that doesn't work.  First, I manually manage the music, but even deleting and using auto-fill, doesn't put all the album art in place even though it is all on the songs in iTunes.  Even copying and pasting from iTunes to the iPhone does not get the artwork to show up, despite the fact it shows up in "Info" on the iPhone in iTunes.  Plus there seems no rhymn nor reason as to the missing artwork, some ripped songs have it, some purchased songs do not. Bizarre!  But I've run across this problem every since time I've restored an iPhone and had to redo the music separately, however, previously I could manually drop and drag the song over after the auto-fill to replace (after deleting on the iPhone) and the artwork would show up.  Not this time however.  This is one of those details I find extremely annoying!

  • Album artwork isn't displaying on some songs

I wanted to put a song on my iPod Touch. I still have the 5.0 software. The song wasn't going onto my iPod so I canceled it then it started syncing my old playlists that I had deleted off of my iPod. Then I went onto my music app and the album artwork isn't showing on the songs that I had purchased in the iTunes App off of my iPod. I tried restarting my iPod but it didn't work. Help?

    If not this:

  • Album Artwork won't show on iPod Touch

I am running iTunes 10.6.3.25 on my Windows Vista laptop and iOS 5.1.1 on my iPod touch. I have transferred some new albums to the iPod and the album artwork don't show on the iPod. It does show up in iTunes and if I look on my iPod through iTunes, I see the artwork when I "get info" but it won't show up on the iPod itself. Anyone out there having the same problem?

I have had this problem since iOS4 and I recently (mostly) resolved it in iOS6.
    1. First make sure you do not 'Sign In' into iTunes store.
    2. I used playlists to resolve the issue. Create a playlist with one song, preferably one that does not have any album art.
    3. Create another playlist with all the songs you want to add.
    4. With your iTouch/iPhone attached open iTunes. Go to Device->Music. Under Sync Music:choose "Selected playlists, albums and genres". Choose the one song playlist from those shown. Click on the Sync(Apply) button. This will delete all of the songs.
    5. Once the deletion is complete choose the playlist with all the songs. Click on the Apply(Sync)button. This will install all the songs again and with album artwork.
    6. Once all the songs have been installed click on all the playlists that you want to add (no new songs) and click on the Sync(Apply) button again.
You should now have your songs with album artwork and playlists installed. Hope this helps. The song in the one song playlist won't have any artwork even if it is included. There were some albums whose artwork were not installed. I had a 95% success rate. As I said, it mostly solves the problem for me.

  • Album Artwork doesn't show up in vertical mode but does in Coverflow

I have an iPod Touch 4g and im running the newest version of iOS, 4.3.3, and the newest version of iTunes.  Also running OS X Lion 10.7.  The album artwork doesn't show up in vertical mode but does in Coverflow.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Did you already try to activate the artwork visualization in iPod?

  • Album artwork doesn't show up on ipod

My album artwork doesn't show up for songs that i currently just burned off a cd. it shows up on itunes but not on my ipod

    Hey there,
Make sure that you have "Include Album Artwork" checked under the Music tab screen that you can access when you plug your iPod in. See if that helps.

  • Album artwork does not show on iphone 4

Does anyone have any solutions of why when you sync your iphone 4 the album artwork does not show in your play lists?  This has happened since I have updated to the ISO.5.0.1?  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Which version of Edge are you using?
Please update to the latest version of Edge which is 2014.1.1 if it's not already, and then try to reproduce this issue.

  • Why is my 3GS showing some incorrect album artwork when it is correct on computer?

When using my ipod on my 3GS I have noticed that I sometimes have the incorrect artwork displayed. For example I have 3 Nickelback albums which on my computer shows the correct artwork but on my iphone either doesn't show the artwork or is showing Elton John albums!!! Seems a bit of a strange glitch. Anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it?

I've always assumed those silly strings were recording the results of the gapless playback analysis but whatever they're for it would be better if they were stored in a spare field.
Windows Media Player/Windows Explorer may be less fussy on embedded artwork formats than iTunes or the media file might actually be missing the art but the Windows Explorer cache (Thumbs.db) still shows it. You say removing-reimporting doesn't help but I assume you can still paste new artwork in and have it remembered. If so you might want to use the following tool to at least take some of the effort out of searching out which tracks you need to repair.
*How to find tracks without artwork*
To find all the tracks without artwork so that you can update them you can try http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs. Use Google, Amazon, Discogs etc. to locate relevant jpeg images. Ideally these should be square, 320x320 pixels or above and borderless to give the best results in the various menus. If you have artwork for some tracks of an album, but not others, select a track with artwork, right-click (Option-Click for Macs) on the art & click copy, then select all the tracks of the album, use CTRL-I or Command-I to *Get Info* and then paste the image into the artwork box.
I say 320x320 because I believe (from using TouchCopy) that it's the size used in the iPod cache so if you're going to crop or resize you might as well work to that size. Otherwise 200x200 is probably good enough.

  • ITunes 10, album artwork won't show on ipod 'selected item'

The songs on my computer display album artwork fine, but on my iPod (Classic) it only displays the 'Now Playing' artwork. If I set it to show 'Selected Item' it will only show the artwork of the song playing, if it's selected. It won't show album artwork of any other songs that I select, instead it shows the 'Drag Artwork Here' image, even when the songs already have artwork.
The artwork shows up fine when I'm playing songs on my ipod, or if I click 'Get Info', but it just won't show up in the side bar. I've tried unistalling and reinstalling iTunes and it didn't make a difference. I can't restore my ipod to factory settings because a lot of the music I have isn't backed up. Is there anything I can do?

Strangely I was able to find help myself. I checked one box under the settings that said something like "show album artwork". Strange because it was unchecked before, I had never checked it myself and previously all the artwork was visible properly...
When I clicked that checkbox, to my horror iTunes said something to the effect of "Deleting artwork from 'iPod'". After that it went for a long time into a "Optimizing artwork for 'iPod'" and after that wait all the artwork is shown properly. I wonder what that did...?

  • Is there a way to browse all "poster frames"/"album artwork" for TV Shows?

    Here's the scenario...
I have a LOT of old cartoon shows in my iTunes collection, and I have them tagged and sorted as "TV Shows". Unfortunately, when browsing the collection using "Album View", iTunes only shows me ONE poster frame for the entire season.
This might be fine for some people, but not for me with regards to my collection of old cartoons, because I want each individual show to have its own poster frame that shows the title of that particular episode.
Yes, I know I can do that by playing the clip, stopping at it the title frame, right-clicking and selecting "Set Poster Frame".
That's not the issue though. The issue is that I (currently) have more than 2,000 shows in my collection and it understandably takes a long time to manually set the poster-frames for all of them. So I do a whole bunch every so often when I have the time to do so, and then wait a long time before I get round to doing some more.
Getting on to what the actual issue is though, it's that when using the "Album View" I cannot see the individual per-episode poster-frames of all my separate shows, and so I cannot see what I have artworked so far and what I have not.
So what I'm asking really is, does anyone know of any alternative ways (3rd-party apps) to at least VIEW (in some kind of "browse" mode), if not edit, individual TV Shows poster frames?
By the way, I know that converting the TV Shows to Movies will show me individual poster-frames, but that will kill all the hard work I've put into tagging the shows names, episodes, seasons, etc.
If I'm not making sense here, ask me for clarification on anything.
I'm using the latest versions of iTunes, and the Mac OS, on Intel, etc.

You won't be able to have a page showing 24 charts per host.
I really think that it is a bad idea to create a group per host, just to have the ability to add many charts.
The maintenance effort will be a big penalty.
    Regards
    Rob

  • My album artwork will not display correctly on my iPod Touch

I have a 4th gen iPod Touch. Recently, I've noticed that a lot of my album artwork is displaying incorrectly in coverflow, and sometimes not at all. I can not figure out why this is happening, as the artwork displays fine in iTunes, and actually shows up in coverflow on the iPod occasionally. However, when I turn my iPod to portrait orientation, they disappear, turn upside down and perform various other acrobatic stunts.
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

How are you adding the artwork to the songs?
You should try adding the artwork to the songs in iTunes first, not directly to the songs on the iPod (through iTunes).
If you add artwork directly to the iPod, the artwork is sometimes not displayed when playing songs.

  • Album Artwork won't display correctly.

I've been having this issue for a few months now. My music doesn't have the right cover art on my Ipod touch 4 (running 6.1.6) but it displays correctly on iTunes 11.1.4 for PC. What happens is cover art for other music that i own will be on albums that don't match the artwork. I've tried clearing and redownloading the artwork, reinstalling (the same version) iTunes, deleting my entire library and starting from scratch, and restoring backups of my ipod but to no avail. Is this fixed with iTunes 11.1.5 or am i stuck like this?

i am having the exact same issue right now
on the music list (also in itunes) it'll display the correct album artwork but when i play the song it'll display a different artwork rather than the original :/
i want to find a way to fix it since it's bothering me a bit

  • Album Artwork doesn't show

I moved my music from one computer to another and for some reason I am now unable to view my album artwork, even when I use get album artwork it still won't show.

First, create a new folder on your pc - I created one in my MY MUSIC folder and named it Album Covers. Nest, open your iTunes Library and reduce its size on the screen. Then open up Internet Explorer and go to Amazon.com. Reduce the size of that screen so that you can view both your iTunes Library and the Amazon website.
Once in Amazon, go to the music tab and then type in the name of the cd's in your iTunes library. When the cd cover comes up in Amazon, doubleclick it to view it in its own window, then right click the image and save it as the name of the cd in the album covers folder that you created. Once you have saved all of the album covers, close the internet explorer window and open the Album cover folder. Again, minimize its size so that you can see both your iTunes Library and the Album Covers folder.
Next, highlight all the songs in your iTunes library that correspond to a particular cd and then click and drag the album cover from the Album Covers folder to the album art box on the lower left corner of your iTunes Source window. The album art should appear in that box and it will appear on your iPod as well. Make sure to highlight all of the songs from each respective cd so that you don't have to click and drag the album cover for every song -- this will speed up the process tremendously.
    Good luck!

  • ITunes Album Artwork Screensaver Only Showing 3 Album Covers

I'm trying to use the album artwork screensaver but when it comes on it only shows three repeating album covers, all of which from CDs I downloaded myself and not from the iTunes store. How do I get all my album artwork to show?
I tried FILE > LIBRARY > GET ALBUM ARTWORK and holding down option while clicking the itunes icon and selecting my iTunes library.
13.3 in Mac Book Pro, 2013
    Mac OS X Mountain Lion

    Hi,
so this work's for me. Just recreate all the iTunes stuff. I did it like this:
    - Go to - Music / iTunes / iTunes Media and backup the Music and Mobile App folders
    - Delete everyting in the folder iTunes
Then just open the iTunes and add all the music from the Music folder to the library back again. This will recreate all the library files and folders in the iTunes folder.
    Then try the screen saver.
    Hope it helps.

  • After my last Ipod update my album artwork isn't matching up with the music.

It seems something is corrupted, if the artwork isn't matching up with music. What should I do to restore this?

Sometimes the artwork caches on these device becomes corrupt. Try the following until one works.
    Reset the device.
Remove both albums involved from the device, then add them back again.
Remove all media, then add it back.
    Restore the device.
Your media is all inside your iTunes library, right? If not you'll need to recover it from the device first.
