Nope, that doesn't work. First, I manually manage the music, but even deleting and using auto-fill, doesn't put all the album art in place even though it is all on the songs in iTunes. Even copying and pasting from iTunes to the iPhone does not get the artwork to show up, despite the fact it shows up in "Info" on the iPhone in iTunes. Plus there seems no rhymn nor reason as to the missing artwork, some ripped songs have it, some purchased songs do not. Bizarre! But I've run across this problem every since time I've restored an iPhone and had to redo the music separately, however, previously I could manually drop and drag the song over after the auto-fill to replace (after deleting on the iPhone) and the artwork would show up. Not this time however. This is one of those details I find extremely annoying!

You can't view your photos in the iPhoto library in Time Machine vis the Finder. You must enter Time Machine, go back in time to the library you want to restore and restore it?

After I updated my 2 Iphones and one Itopuch the bluetooth on one of the phones and the Itouch will not stay on. When you go to the general settings to turn it on it shows on but the icon disapears when you go to home scree or leave general seetings.

After I updated my two Iphone 4's and my Itouch bluetooth problem occurred on two of the three devices. One of the phones and the itouch will not keep the bluetooth on. When you go to the general settings to turn it on it show on and the icon pops up but as soon as you leave the general settings the icon disappears and will not show up in the home screen. It will not pair with any devices. It will search for and find them but won't pair because the icon will not show up meaning it is off. Sounds like we have a similar problem. Four days ago I was playing music through a wireless Bose speaker via bluetooth and everything was fine. Then I was texting while listening and got 2 texts about the same time as I was typing one and my phone went black. I pushed the home button and it worked, went into my texts and all were there. However ever since then the time isn't right, so it can't keep time no matter what I do. The bluetooth works only at times, the wifi keeps jumping on and off, sometimes my data won't work and the other day I couldn't even turn it off, so had to wait until it died. The battery life display at that moment wasn't correct either. Took to Verizon, they couldn't help. Suggested a factory reset, which I did last night and still the same issues! One day I couldn't even text my husband on his iPhone. Just wouldn't work at all. Did everything suggest and still not good. Seems like after stalking these pages today a lot of people are having this problem in Dec/Jan and of course also I'm 3 weeks out of my 1 year warranty and so were many others, by days. Very strange, and all on the 5C. What did you do? Is it working now?

Do you have the option checked for ''Show Tab Previews in the Windows Taskbar''? If not, just go to ''tools->options->tabs.'' You can find more information on what each of these settings do in the Knowledge Base article [[Options window - Tabs panel]].

Album artwork isn't displaying on some songs

I wanted to put a song on my iPod Touch. I still have the 5.0 software. The song wasn't going onto my iPod so I canceled it then it started syncing my old playlists that I had deleted off of my iPod. Then I went onto my music app and the album artwork isn't showing on the songs that I had purchased in the iTunes App off of my iPod. I tried restarting my iPod but it didn't work. Help?

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.

If you want to duplicate your Folder Tree in iPhoto:
Start at the bottom of the hierarchy and drag a folder of images to the Album Heading in iPhoto. The pics will be imported and an Album of the same name created.
You can then create the Enclosing Folders in the iPhoto Window (File -> New Folder) and drag the Album to it. Folders can contain other Folders (Nested Folders) and Albums.
However, is your folder system date based? Then this form of organisation is a bit pointless in iPhoto when Smart Albums or the Calendar tool (Click on the wee magnifying glass in the Search Box) mean you can find the photos taken on any day, month or year at a click. With Smart Albums it's easy to find photos from specific range - say, June 3 to August 25, 2009 etc.
If your folder system is theme based - Xmas pics, Birthday pics etc, then you'll find Keywords are much more flexible, and can be used in conjunction with other criteria for making Smart Albums and searches.

Wow, I have been using Applescript for 15 years but I can't get this to work. I just want to make a script that brings a JPG image into iPhoto '09 into a specific album, but it seems set against letting me, and I can't find specific examples of what I'm trying to do so far.

This doesn't give an error and it makes the album, but nothing else. Nothing is imported into iPhoto.
Eventually I want to add a title and keyword data to that picture also using Applescript (hopefully not UI scripting), but since I can't get the barest basics of importing to work properly, I thought I'd see if anyone here could help.

I’ve never seens an AS that can do this. Hazel can and it might be worth examining it to see what you can learn.
Automator can do this too, but there’s no way in that to add keywords or titles in that - though it is possible with Aperture and Automator.
Given that we can go months on here without mention of AppleScript I wouldn’t be surprised if you get a better response on the AppleScript forum.

It is just the newest version of Firefox because it works fine on my other computer that hasn't been updated and it also works fine in IE.

Hello! My macbook pro just recently stopped streaming videos from facebook, youtube, hulu, etc... The videos are choppy and show static. The sound play back is fine but the picture is definitely unclear. I was hoping that there was a simple solution to this as I have never had an issue with this computer before.

Thanks, Lawrence. I figured that was what I was going to have to do in the end. I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.

Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again!
