Album Cover Picture

When transferring album tracks to ipod classic is there away of transferring the album cover into all tracks, or must I transfer the cover into each tracks separately?.
The CD is a classic mix of 146 tracks.

*Why is artwork not showing on my iPod when it's there in iTunes?*
iTunes will display a cover in many of it's views provided at least one track from the album has embedded artwork. The iPod appears to load only the artwork from track one to create the cover flow and album views which means that it can sometimes fail to display art for albums even when you can see the art in iTunes. Further, when tracks are played on the iPod, artwork is displayed if and only if it exists in the currently playing track, so track one may show art while track two does not.
*How to find tracks without artwork*
To find all the tracks without artwork so that you can update them you can try http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=trackswithoutartwork for Macs. Use Google, Amazon, Discogs etc. to locate relevant images. Ideally these should be square, 320x320 pixels or above and borderless to give the best results in the various menus. If you have artwork for some tracks of an album, but not others, find the album in the main music folder, select a track with artwork, right-click (Option-Click for Macs) on the art & click copy, then select all the tracks of the album, use CTRL-I or Command-I to *Get Info* and then paste the image into the artwork box.
I say 320x320 because I believe (from using TouchCopy) that it's the size used in the iPod cache so if you're going to crop or resize you might as well work to that size. Otherwise 200x200 is probably good enough for the iPod. iTunes Store art is generally 600x600.
*Rebuild artwork cache*
Sometimes the artwork cache becomes corrupt and fails to show correct artwork, even when this is properly set up in iTunes. To rebuild the artwork cache, connect your iPod to iTunes. Locate the iPod in the Sources pane on the left-hand side, then select the Music tab. Remove the tick from *Display album artwork on your iPod*, sync the iPod, reselect the option & sync again.

  • How to apply album cover picture to all songs on cd not just one at a time?

i found agreat website with free cd covers for my songs that will show up in the corner of my ipod. but i can figure out how to apply the picture to all the songs in an alubm an dnot just one, i can only drag the picture into the box in itunes one by one.

I highly recommend Album Cover Finder
    http://www.amphonicdesigns.com/albumcoverfinder/
It's not free, but it's worth the small investment of 9 bucks.
I just point it to my iTunes library and it batch uploads the artwork to every file automatically.

  • Album Cover Pictures

Ok, I am quite sure that this has already been answered but I can't find it!!
I spent a long time getting JPG artwork for all of my albums. They are all therre and displayed on my computer. Unfortunately a large number of them have not been transferred to the 160GB Classic or they are just so much rubbish. I have tried three times now to update them and they still will not transfer.
Is there some problem with this new ipod? Or do I have to restrict the size of the JPG software.
Someone please help because I put so much effort into getting the files and spent a lot on the ipod.
Thanks in the hopes of your help.
    Alistair

When iTunes automatically adds artwork to an album it often only does so to the first track. This is enough to display the cover in the various views in iTunes, but to work properly on the iPod each track should have it's own embedded artwork. Provided you can see the cover in the artwork panel in iTunes you can copy this, then open the group info dialog for the whole album and paste the image in.
If you want to find all the tracks in your libray that don't have artwork use http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs.
If you're using Google or other FWSE to locate suitable images they should be square, 200x200 pixels or above and ideally borderless to give the best results in the various menus on the iPod.

this actually just happened to me the other day- some of the artwork was messed up on my Nano. I restored the nano, and then resynced it. Artwork is fine now. So, assuming the artwork is fine in iTunes, you could give that a try.

  • New ipod picture of album cover does no appear when playing HELP

    Hello
I bought a new colour screen ipod over christmas and I thought that when you are playing songs a picture of the album cover would appear on the screen, is there a specific setting I need to set up to get this, hopefully some of you can help me thanks

If you are getting the music from itunes they should have the artwork with them. If you are getting the songs elsewhere then you will have to manually add the art work.
Click the ipod options buttong in itunes and make sure the option to dispay artwork is checked.

  • How do  I add title-cover-pictures to the albums I have ????

    Hi
When using windows Media Player, y can easily add cover pics. But in iTunes I cant find any logic way to do it. It says I have to log in to the store before I can do it.....But I dont have Visa and I dont want to buy anything.
Is there a button somewhere to push-as in windows media player ???
    Yours monsterblaster

You can add artwork manually by embedding the artwork into the music file: iTunes 7 for Windows - Adding artwork to songs and other items
I find this site is a good source of artwork: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Another place for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon. You can also locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name. Locate the album from any of those sources, save the picture to your desktop and drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Alternatively there are programs like these that help locate artwork: iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag

  • Zen Vision: M problem with Album Cov

I've read a lot of intructions on these boards about dragging the album cover into the generic icon (after I select "View" and "Albums" in the Media Explorer. Thing is, when I try to drag a picture nothing happens. Next thing I try is to manually copy and paste the album cover into the same generic grey icon and it says that it won't allow it to be viewed in my device and asks me if I just want to drop it in the folder (which does no good). Anyone else solve this problem in the past? Do I have to use a certain type of image file type? I'm using jpgs.
    Please help me.
?Also, I am using Windows Vista 32-bit Premium Home Edition. Thanks in advance. I really want my album covers to work, it will be so cool.

I found the easiest way is to do it in Creative Media Source 5, highlight all the tracks in the album you want to apply art to, right click, go to "edit properties", click on the last entry on the bottom, "change album art" and assign the JPG of your choice, then update tags and the album art will show on your player, it has worked 00% for me so far.

  • After downloading the latest ujpdate from itunes it is impossible to see album songs individually, the screen is black and all that shows is the album cover.

Trying to find music to download and buy but the screen is black with no facilities to view the records on the album.
When I click on the album it plays and offers a single purchase on that song playing, but no other option to
buy the whole album.  It also displays 4 pictures of the same album cover.
Have tried deleting and downloading again and pressed repair, but the same thing happens.
What do I do now please?

    Hello hsielglad,
Thank you for your question. iTunes 11.1 is required to update to and sync with iOS 7.  If you are still running iTunes 10.6.3, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

  • How do I get mp3 files to appear with album cover thumbnails?

how do I get mp3 files to appear with album cover thumbnails? when I updated my ITunes now all my mp3 files
that had thumbs have no thumbs...thanks

First, you have to embbed picture into mp3 file with idtag editors (tagalicious, musicbrainz picard, mp3tag, id3tag editor...).
Then you'll have to install at least Itunes 10.5.1(42), even if you're not using Itunes at all.
Albumarts will now appear in every folder from the finder.
I closed my topic because I solved it :

  • Thumbnail for Album Cover in E-mail?

When sending an e-mail regarding an album the recepient receives the e-mail ("Check out John's album on Photoshop.com") and can view the album ok but the e-mail does not contain an image - I'm guessing that the album cover photo should be displayed but there is a black picture with the word "empty" in it.  See below.  Album owner's e-mail is @Yahoo and the recepient is @Hotmail.  Any ideas?  Thanks, rcwaszak

    Hi,
The images are actually present but not visible due to the mail clients/browser's security settings.
The user would have to click (Display Images) or (Always Display images from .....) at the top or bottom of the page.
If you are using Outlook as the mail client, right click and select Download images.

easiest way to do it is to go to album view in iTunes and right click the empty album cover and select 'get album artwork' - but you may have to log into iTunes.
Otherwise google the album on wikipedia, right click the artwork and copy - then in iTunes right click the album, info, and paste the picture into the artwork block. It is a little work, but you only have to do it once.
artwork automatically downloads only for albums purchased on iTunes.

  • Album cover issue

    Hi,
Can someone tell me how to fix a album cover error? When i go on my iPad to music --> albums all albums with a video file in it show a picture of the video file not the album cover. How can i fix this?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

  • How do I turn off album cover art on my lockscreen??

I can't stand that when I am playing my music on a train or bus that when I go to unlock my phone the album cover art shows up all over my phone screen like so.
It's annoying. What if I am listening to Backstreet Boys and I happen to go for the unlock while sitting next to some beautiful girl I might ask on a date. Now I have a big picture of the Backstreet Boys on my phone screen and bam! she automatically judges me laughs on the inside and now I have ZERO chance of landing that date before she could even get a chance to know me. Not that I care what people think, but it could be a thing, you know? Anyone have any fixes for this?

Go to Settings > General > Accessiblity and set the VoiceOver option to "off."
