Album cover present when the ipod not locked, but not when locked
I bought a new 4rth generation ipod touch, and I bought new music and synced it. The new 2 albums, when I play the songs, I can see the album cover when my ipod is not locked, but when locked, I only see my wallpaper and there is no album cover...
why is this?
Just wanted to say I'm having the same problem. It's not detrimental by any standards but it does bother my OCD a tad. Hopefully it's a small glitch that can be resolved.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

When i add my own album cover it splits the songs up
when i add my own album cover it splits the songs up making it look like that the songs are from different albums...
it doesn't happen to all of the albums that i've added my own covers to...i make sure that all the TAG info is the same for everything with the exception of the song title. and blank all the other categories by checking the info boxes so that it will erase any info in any of the categories...
it'll show that like one track by itself then like 3 by their self then like 8 and back to one....and once i delete the album artwork it'll go back to looking like it's all from one album which it should.I had a similar problem. This may sound dumb, but check the case (upper case / lower case) of every letter of the album name and make sure each song is EXACTLY the same (choose one song and do a copy paste to the rest). I don't know why adding album art causes the songs to appear to be from different albums, but once I matched the album name down to the case, I was fine.

My ipod has been disabled for 22,777,704 mintues and when i try to restore it is says it cant be restored because the ipod is locked. there is no where to enter the password. i font have the computer it was originally synced with. help please!!

Hello, i am having problems! When i am connecting my Ipod to my comp, Itunes tells me that the Ipod is locked with a code. I know the code, thats not a problem! But, i cant type in the code, beacuse the Ipod is deactivated? Help! Resetting it, dont work either!

I recently bought an Ipod touch 2nd gen, (Ebay). It's in great shape and seemed to be wiped clean.
When I connect (via windows computer) to Itunes with usb cord the Ipod icon shows, but the only function you can do is eject. When its in the upper right hand corner and you click on it all you get is a done button, when it's in the side bar right click and your only option is eject, left click has no effect. If I go to "file">devices it's as if there are no devices connected.
I purchased a song with Itunes on the Ipod itself, and it transferred to my library on the computer automatically .
I have an Iphone 5 and a nano that are still functioning with Itunes thru computer so I'm thinking the issue is with the Ipod touch. I've reset it several times, rebooted it, with no change.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Reboot the modem. Just pull the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost. The laptop getting through to the internet is not relevent.

I just restored my ipod touch for the first time because it was unreadable in itunes, and I had manually backed up my ipod to iCloud prior.
The ipod is restored, but cloud not downloading any of my messages and pictures, and the other files that iCloud claims to back up?

I want to import songs frm my Ipod to my itunes library. Songs were ripped from CDs to the ipod not purchased from itunes store...how can this be done?
You would have to let itunes rip the songs from the cd's, or you would have to copy the music from the computer which ripped cd's.
iTunes does not support transferring music from the ipod unless it was purchased from the store. -
Can you vary the Album Art Size on the iPod?
I would like to know if you can change the size of the album art. It currently shows a small picture of the album. I would like to have the album cover most of the screen. Please advise.
While a song is playing, click the select (center) button twice.
This should display the album art full-screen.

I recently purchased a 7th Gen iPod nano which I have downloaded my music to. However, when I try to play this it is showing on the iPod as play but I am getting no sound through. I have checked the headphones and reset it. Any ideas?
Haha I had the exact same problem. Once I had tried it like 4 different pairs of headphones i was ready to give my iPod back. Then I tried pushing the headphones in further and proceeded to kick myself. I seems a lot of people have the same problem, post it on here and realise a few minutes later.
