Album covers displayed on Video iPod?

How do I get album covers displayed on my Video iPod?

Copy the album artwork from somewhere like Google images or Amazon or where I like to get from http://www.thejosher.net/iTunes/ and go to the song you want with that artwork and right-click to get info and go to artwork and paste it; You can do the same with multiple songs except you would have to press and hold the CTRL button and click on the songs at the same time.

  • My Album covers appear on My IPOD incorrectly.

My album covers are all correct on my computer, but they display incorrectly on my IPOD.

Yep mine is doing exactly the same thing. I've been working for the last several months putting my mp3 collection together and finally uploaded it all to my brand new ipod this past weekend and noticed that every 3 songs or so the album artwork is incorrect. I'm thinking it's some type of bug that Apple needs to correct with this model because I've taken everything off and put it back on several times and I"ve played with the "display artwork" button and I've even restored the pod and to no avail it's still screwed up!

  • Problem w/ album covers of downloaded songs

I just noticed the other day, that my most of my purchased songs on my iPod have different album covers displayed than the ones that should be. For example, if I had the Cheetah Girls Two Soundtrack the album cover displayed is now either Fall Out Boy or Akon. My brother reset it, but I don't know if he did it right or not. I'll do it myself, but in the meantime, can anyone think of how to fix this?
P.S. Sorry if I posted this on the wrong board. I'm going to post it on the iTunes board too. I just didn't know if it was my iPod messing up or iTunes.

theyhre in the computer but not your iPod? ive had that happen some and it is wierd. sometimes there's no album art or you try to download it a second time and you get a black square on your ipod.
if no album art is available even on the computer it's either (a) a cd you can't buy as downloads (EG the beatles), a different version than the one sold on iTunes (EG, the willie nelson/wnyton marsalis album sold in record stores is different from the itunes bonus track one) or (c) particularly maddening there is some error or misspelling in the imported album info that makes iTunes think it is a different album. (i think this happened with my Amos Lee cd.) it's as if you were punished for not buying it from apple =- altho with things iTunes doesn't even sell that's not fair.

  • Does anyone have a sticky iPhone since upgrading to ios8? Scrolling is rough in iTunes (horizontal album covers) and on the iPad it's much worse with photo and video albums! iPhone5s and iPad3 retina displays.

    Lots and lots of questions
The new Photos app in OS X should address much of this - it greatly simplifies syncing stuff across machines. Apple has details on it up here:
    https://www.apple.com/osx/photos-preview/
It says "coming this spring" and a pre-release version has already been made available to developer testers.

  • Ipod touch won't play movies or songs w/album covers

Hi all - Before I left for a very long trip I downloaded a bunch of tv shows, movies and songs from itunes on a 32G ipod touch. I also was asked to update the software to 2.1 - which I did.
Prior to this, everything worked great!! I even had a movie on the ipod that worked fine before, but I hadn't finished watching it, so I left it there to finish now.
Sunday night, I got on the plane for my first leg of the trip, and tried to finish watching the movie and got the error message "this movie could not be played." I then tried every other video I had downloaded from itunes and got the same error message each time. Sometimes it would display the play, pause and volume controls, but never any video - and the error message would always appear.
Then I went to play my music -- nothing!! Except, I realized today, songs that do not display album covers play fine... I know this sounds odd - but it is true. I can only listen to songs that do not have album covers connected to them. The others are silent until they end.
So basically, EVERYTHING (music and videos) that I have downloaded from itunes does not work and every song that I downloaded from a CD does work. And Sunday morning, before doing the software upgrade, it all worked fine...
I have turned the device off and on a bunch of times -- I have reset all settings at least five times. I let the battery drain out and recharged it and still no change... I would even be willing to wipe the device clean and start over - However, I will not be near my computer for several weeks.
Can someone please help me - At 4am PST I leave for the airport to get on another plane for a 10 hour trip and cannot maintain my sanity without my music and videos.
Thank you in advance for your help and thank you on behalf of all of the passengers on my next two flights too!!

    Hey!
I recall encountering this problem myself after the 2.1 update.Albeit only with some of my iTunes purchases(only the ones I'd bought thru my iPT).
I did a couple of resets, which did nothing to resolve the problem.
In the end, I re-connected to my Mac and did another 'sync'.Which then cured the pod of it's problem.
Not much use to you at the moment I know, but it was(in my case) an easy remedy to the problem.
    Cheers,
    John

  • Doesn't display album covers for individually selected songs.  Why?

I just synced up my new iPod Classic and am surprised that it doesn't display album covers when I individually select songs or when it shuffles songs. The artwork is there - it displays them in Cover Flow or when I select songs from the Album list, but not when I select songs from the Song list or when it shuffles.  Why not?  Is there a setting I need to fix?

    You're adding the artwork incorrectly.
Instead of selecting the first track of the album, select the complete album. Then select File/Get Info and answer "yes" to the "multpile items" question. The Artwork box is now on the Info tab instead of its own tab. Paste the artwork into that one box and that will add it to the whole album.
I can't be precise about the detail, but as far as I know, there will be one piece of artwork and iTunes and your iPod will refer to that one picture for each track, so it will not be taking up extra storage space.
Pasting the artwork into each track individually will drive you crazy - and I suspect it will take up extra space.
(If fellow "discussions user" tt2 adds to this post, I'm pretty sure he will confirm {or not if I'm wrong} what I've said about the extra space used if you paste into each track individually.)

  • Album covers in my ipod

Some of my album covers in my ipod are showing audiobook covers not the correct album covers associated with my songs....but when I go into itunes it shows the correct album cover there. Why is this happening?

Try unchecking "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod.
Then check "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when youd iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod again.
This should resync the album artwork to the iPod.
If this does not work, you might need to restore the iPod and reload the songs in order to correct this error.
See: How to restore the iPod to factory settings.

  • Album work display on ipod

I just got the new 30gb ipod with video and i want the album cover work to show up on the ipod with the song. i went to itunes went to preferences and selected that the ipod be updated automatically with the album cover work. then i update it but none of the album covers show up with the songs. what else can i do so that it can show up ?

Go into iTunes and make it so that you can see the little album artwork box in the left hand corner (go to edit and then select show album artwork). From there you can scroll through your songs and see whether or not they have the album artwork. If they don't, you can get the pictures online and copy and paste them into the box (you can select full albums beforehand so you only need to paste once). That's probably the problem is that you didn't have much album artwork before hand, and having the iPod show it won't help if it isn't there in the first place.
Oh, and the iPod itself has an album artwork option I believe. So make sure that's on. Hope this helps!

  • Can't load Album Covers onto my ipod. Keep getting error message

Well, I want to put albums cover art into my ipod to show when play music, and I have all the artwork already but when i go at iTunes and "Ipod Options" and mark "Display album artwork at your iPod" and press OK, it show iPod is updating and suddenly an error message appears and say: "The "X's iPod" cannot be updated. An unknown error occured (-50)".
I only end up getting about 2 albums loaded onto my iPod. Please help. I am desperate here. I have tried everything and I am at the end of my rope. Has anyone else had this problem?
      Windows XP

I'm getting the same problem with my iPod ("unknown error (-50)"). I can get more than 2 albums loaded, but I am still missing many of the album covers which appear on iTunes.
Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Video Ipod Picture Display Issue

    Hey guys,
I have a 30gig Video Ipod that displays album art when it is downloaded from Itunes -- but when I add the album art myself (say it's a local band, or an import CD) it's very sparatic as to which it will display (you'll always see it in Itunes, but very hit or miss when just listening to the Ipod alone).
    Has anyone had similar issues?

My ipod will not pick up all the album art that is obviously available on itunes and it will only display it in one corner of the ipod screen. I can't figure out how to fix this either. So I can't watch my movie or tv shows because they're too small.

  • Disappearing Album covers with iPod Photo

I have an iPod with photo, and I am experiencing something a little odd. It seems that, if I go for a while without docking the iPod, it will stop displaying the album covers. Dock it, and they return. Anyone else experience this, or know the reason?

If your iPod is set to update automatically then try this:
    1. Connect your iPod
    2. Disable "Show Album art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
    3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes. (Disconnecting and then reconnecting your iPod will do the trick)
    4. Re-enable "Show Album Art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
    5. Syncronise the iPod again.

  • Wrong album art displaying for songs on my iPod Classic.

I am having a problem with my 160GB classic iPod. (6th gen. I believe, it's the first 160GB iPod to be released.)
It doesn't happen a lot, but I noticed wrong album art displaying for my songs on my iPod. Then when I check in itunes, the album art is correct. Also, I manually manage my music and videos. So when I check the album art from my ipod's hard-drive through itunes, the album art is correct as well.
I believe the problem happens when the iPod itself tries to find the album art images for the current song being played. It somehow gets jumbled and puts up a random album art image instead of the one it is supposed to.
One thing i noticed is this. Lets say I shuffle all my songs. Once I get up to a song with wrong album art, I skip pass it lets say about 5-10 songs, then I go back to it. The album art often corrects itself, and the right album art is displayed.
I looked around the forums here and see that other people are having similar problems with different kinds of iPods. Maybe it's a firmware issue?

I'm having the exact same issue on my iPod Classic. Haven't used this forum before - do experts provide feedback, or do we just hope that another user can suggest a cure? I haven't reformatted my iPod yet - huge pain, as I also manually manage my music - but will do that if no other solutions present themselves.

  • Displaying album covers

I've had my iPod classic since before New Year, and suddenly the last three albums I've burned onto it do not show the artwork on the iPod. It displays in iTunes without any difficulty, so far I've tried:
    - Deleting the covers, and dragging in different kinds of image file. All display on the PC with no difficulty, but fail to display on the iPod.
    - Converting the file type between mp3 & AAC, all to no avail.
    - Deleting the music entirely, and re-burning. Still nothing.
    - Uploading both directly from iTunes & scanning the cover in, resizing and drag / drog.
Nothing I've tried has worked, so now I'm left with over 10,000 tracks from numerous albums all happily displaying the correct covers, with the sole exception of these three new albums!
    Any idea, experienced users?

    Try these...
*Why is artwork not showing on my iPod when it's there in iTunes?*
iTunes will display a cover in many of it's views provided at least one track from the album has embedded artwork. The iPod appears to load only the artwork from track one to create the cover flow and album views which means that it can sometimes fail to display art for albums even when you can see the art in iTunes. Further, when tracks are played on the iPod, artwork is displayed if and only if it exisits in the currently playing track, so track one may show art while track two does not.
*How to find tracks without artwork*
To find all the tracks without artwork so that you can update them you can try http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs. Use Google, Amazon, Discogs etc. to locate relevant jpeg images. Ideally these should be square, 320x320 pixels or above and borderless to give the best results in the various menus. If you have artwork for some tracks of an album, but not others, select a track with artwork, right-click (Option-Click for Macs) on the art & click copy, then select all the tracks of the abum, use CTRL-I or Option-I to *Get Info* and then paste the image into the artwork box.
I say 320x320 because I believe (from using TouchCopy) that it's the size used in the iPod cache so if you're going to crop or resize you might as well work to that size. Otherwise 200x200 is probably good enough.
    *Rebuild artwork cache*
Sometimes the artwork cache becomes corrupt and fails to show correct artwork, even when this is properly set up in iTunes. To rebuild the artwork cache, connect your iPod to iTunes. Locate the iPod in the Sources pane on the left-hand side, then select the Music tab. Remove the tick from *Display album artwork on your iPod*, sync the iPod, reselect the option & sync again.

  • Album Covers Cannot Display

I just upgraded to the latest version (7.0.1) on two of my machines. It works fine on one, but on the other I can't seem to display album covers in the main window. When I switch to the 3rd view, I get the message "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer". The artwork still shows in the little lower-left corner window, but not the main window. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance.

    Well...
I downloaded/installed the updated iTunes. It didn't solve the art display problem, but it SEEMS to have solved the audio problems that I and everyone else has been experiencing. I say that with great reserve as I haven't been able to thoroughly test that yet.
As for my video drivers, those appear to be as up-to-date as possible. However, this laptop is about 4 years old and it looks like the graphics maker (S3) no longer supplies updates for this particular adapter. So I may be stuck. It seems to work on all my other (newer) PCs, so it may not be worth any more aggravation. Thanks for all your suggestions. I'll continue to keep my eyes and ears open.
