Album "Edit" function can't be configured to write photos on SD card

Edit function of Album application, as well as other edition applications (Speedseed, etc.) can't be configured to use SD card, and write editing results into internal memory.

A similar issue-- I don't like it that edited pix are saved in an Edited folder and not in the main album. Can I change this? When trying to upload in FB, the Edited folder cannot be seen or selected, but only "photo roll". Worse, that folder cannot be found by Google+ and thus are not backed up there.

Thanks WCMack for your posting. I have been able to verify that the Samsung Charge has an onboard memory of 2GBs and a capacity to carry a 32GB memory card. It cannot old a 64GB card. I hope this helps.

For years I have had no problems editing photos. However, for some reason when I go to "edit" my photo the photo turns BLACK/BLANK. The editing functions appear but I cannot see the photo. When I select "done" the photo reappears. Why is the photo disappearing for editing? Have I hit a command accidentally that is causing this? Really appreciate someone's assistance.

Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #1, Repair Permissions, followed by Option #4, Rebuild Database, if needed.

Can I adjust size of the photos on front page of the photo album template?

When I am working on a Photo Album page, how can I make the "front page" photos larger? I am talking about the photos arranged in rows, not the photos that show in the slide show carousel. Is it a set size in the Photo Album template or is it a consequence of how large a photo I set into the page?
Also, how is "large" defined? Is it about inches, or is it about resolution?

Michael, where did you go to check to see that the large was indeed too large and the small too large? What method of adjusting the size are you using?
If you want them really large, why don't you just
plonk the real photo on the page sized as large as
you wish, and you can always link it to its own page
with an even larger version!!

Michael, actually I misstated in my first post. Actually I would not like the photos in the Photo page to be too large, because then no one will be motivated to click onto the See Slideshow button.
My mind is getting so crammed with input and other people's websites that I now cannot even recall with certainty which pictures I wanted larger. 8-( Oh, this is giving me a cramped-in-the-chest feeling. I had best take a break now and finally eat a legitimate meal.

Thanks for the answer, but the external POP accounts I had in my MobileMe are working in my iCloud! I receive all the e-mails that are directed to those POP accounts, in my iCloud e-mail, since I migrated from Mobileme to iCloud. So, iCloud accepts external accounts, but i doesn't allow us to edit new configurations or to send e-mails using Pop Accounts through it. Very weird. Does anybody have a solution?

Can't get into editing function

Have installed photoshop 12 - registered product. When trying to get into editing function screen come up asking me to sign in to enter registration #. Will "think" for awhile and then brings me back to original screen. Can someone please help me to get into the editing function.

Pixelation in the Edit function

Here are my settings in iPhoto 4:
I'm in an album, in the EDIT function, and I'm using the ARROW buttons to move forward and backward.
Here is the problem:
When the image comes up onscreen, it is very pixelated for 2 or 3 seconds before becoming sharp and crisp, so I find myself looking at "blurry" images most of the time, particularly if I want to move on quickly to the next image.
The question:
Is the prolonged pixelation normal, or there a setting that needs to be changed?

iPhoto behaves the same way for me (I have iPhoto 6 now, but it's been the same in previous versions).
The application is loading images in 2 passes, one coarser initially, to speed up load times, then the full resolution in the second pass. I think you can't change it.
In my personal opinion, it beats the alternative, which is staring at an empty screen until the full resolution image displays.
The good news is that you don't have to wait until the full resolution image is loaded before going to the next one. If you know you are scrolling down 3 or 4 pics, you can hit the left arrow 3-4 times in a row and iPhoto will jump to the last image quickly.

If I just hit play, this doesnt happen. As a result, I have several albums now in which the songs are in the wrong order. Its very frustrating, as this error then transfers over to my ipod every time I sync it. When I choose the info. for the songs, it has them correctly listed (i.e., it lists the songs as being #1 of 19 on the CD, for example). But then the song will have placed by Itunes as #5 of 19 for whatever reason. Itunes does not do this every time, but does it with enough frequency to be maddening. Any thoughts?

The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...

My understanding is that you can click on the phots that you want to move and drag it to a new location within the same album. After i select the photo that I want to move and click on the photo, I get a cirlcle with a diagonal throught it and am unable to drag the photo to its new location. What am I doing wrong? I know this should be a simple thing to do. Thanks

In the Elements Organizer 13
The key to all this is to click on/select/highlight the Album that you have created in Local Albums.
Then make sure that the Sort By: (in the row below the highlighted "Media" header is set for Album Order.
You should see a number at the top left of each of thumbnails.
Then, click on the thumbnail that you want to move, hold down the click, and drag the thumbnail to the wanted new location
in the line up of thumbnails.
Often I had to press down hard on the drag.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
Also, in Edit Menu/Preferences/Keyword Tags and Albums/Enable Manual Sorting Options, I set all for manual.

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPad. If you are having issues accessing your Shared Albums from your iPad (but not from your other devices), you may want to double-check your iCloud Photo Sharing configuration as outlined in the following articles, just to make sure it hasn't changed:

Question regarding editing functions that are no longer showing up in photoshop

Hi!
I purchased editing functions from a company that allows me to use them within my PhotoShop Elements 10 software. I have been using these functions for quite some time & when I opened my PhotoShop Elements software this morning, all of my editing functions were gone.
The functions are still listed in my folders under my C drive.
Any ideas as to how to get them back into my PhotoShop Elements 10 so that I can use them?

Are you sure you're in full edit? Go up to the Edit tab at the upper right of the PSE screen and click where it says Full, to make sure. If that's not the problem, what is missing?

PE7 Edit functions Not Working well after Upgrading from Vista to Windows 7

My PE 7 was working very well under Vista Home Premium - 64 Bit. But after I upgraded (not clean install) to Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 Bit, it appears that the PE7 is working OK except for the EDIT functions.
I am talking about the Tool Icons on the left side. When I select any icon, the Mouse Curser does NOT chnage to reflect the proper shape. For example, when I click the Crop Tool, my mouse curser chnages to 3 little (tiny) crop icons in a row, and the crop functions don't work like they should.
Can anyone please help as to waht I need to do to correct this situation.

How do I get back my edit functions, copy and paste, without doing a restore?

When I switched to Firefox 4 I no longer have the file, edit, etc. functions anywhere. I can't or don't know how to copy and paste websites to emails for instance without the edit functions.

I have checked the toolbar buttons and have MENU ticked, I went to the customize toolbar thing and added (by drag and drop) the cut copy and paste and other buttons I cant find now, and they showed up at first, then they disappeared. The top section seems terribly narrow now and I cant find any way to add the buttons underneath where they used to be...help!
