Album Flipper control in iTunes

Hi,
Is there any control available in the SDK, that looks and works like the album flipper in iTunes?
if not, has anyone got any ideas on how it could be acheived?

Of course there isn't. They don't even give us access to alter song playback in iTunes.
What you would probably have to do is have a square view for the album that is selected, and some OpenGL to render the other albums skewed in the semi-side view. I don't know how the animations would work, probably have to define those yourself.

Why is Remote app album view different than iTunes?

I use the Remote app on my iPad to control the streaming of my PC's iTunes music library to my stereo. I like the Album view because I can see most of the album covers. In iTunes 11.1 on my PC, album view displays the albums alphabetically by artist. i.e. all Beatles albums are listed before any Rolling Stones albums. But when viewing the same library on my iPad using the Remote app, the albums are listed alphabetically by album title, not by artist. So each artist's albums are scattered all over. I don't know about you, but when I'm looking for an album to play, I think about artists, not titles of albums. But there doesn't seem to be any way to change the way the Remote app orders albums. Am I missing something? Is there any way to configure the Remote app to display albums in artist order?

ITunes 10.0.7.21 shows a white box instead of artwork for most of my albums. Many of these are albums I purchased on itunes. Also when I hit get album art it deleted the artwork it already had form many albums and says it cant find it.

OS is Windows 7
I updated iTunes the other day and I decided to run "get album art" and instead of finding artwork, it made some of the artwork I already had show up as white squares, or disapear entirely. The ones that are white squares show up under the get info, but not in itunes. I did click in view for show al artwork, no luck. Many of these albums I bought from iTunes. The ones that the artwork was deleted some albums I can buy on iTunes, but already owned, and iTunes found the artwork before, but now cannot. Some are albums that I spent many hours finding and adding the artwork myself. I am very frustrated. I cannot find the time to manually install artwork for thousands of songs.
My work computer is Windows 8, so I really don't want to hear windows vs OSX argument. My company won't switch to mac because you like it better, so I just need a solution to my issue. iTunes it has always worked better for me on my work PC than my macBook, I dont know why, but I don't take two laptops with me when I travel so I have my iTunes library on the PC that has to come with me. This is the first time an update has screwed things up for me.

Well my first guess was wrong. The line that failed is the one that writes out the image to disk. I've not revisited the code for that script for ages, but it seems I did add in an extra test for missing files a little while later, then forgot to upload the change. I can reproduce the error message if I deliberately rename a file to confuse iTunes so that seems the most likely reason for your problem with the script. I've uploaded a new build of CreateFolderArt which should work better.

Remotely control the ITunes on Windows 7 64 bit PC with the new IPad

With the latest version of ITunes for both Win7 and the new IPad, I'm only able to use the new IPad to remotely control the ITunes on Windows 7 64 bit PC through wired connection ( ethernet cable ) to the wireless router. As soon as I connect my PC through wireless connection, the new IPad can not find my libraries.
Is this a known issue or am I missing some settings?

Album artwork is in iTunes but it does not show up on my iPhone, how do I fix this?

I like to have all my albums have artwork so on my iTunes I made sure that they do. Everyone of my albums have artwork in iTunes but when i sync my iPhone none of them show up.

This same thing happened to me, so I plugged my iphone into the computer and I unchecked all the songs so it deleted from my phone and then i rechecked sync music back to the phone and all the album artwork were there.

i have a bunch of songs that either have the wrong album artwork or none at all. the weirdest thing is that some of the albums are SOLD on iTunes. in fact, if i highlight one of my songs in iTunes, Ping sees it and shows me the correct cover art. Albums, artists and complications must match precisely for iTunes to get a hit. If you have a compilation, chances are you have a 'various artists' for an album artists ... there is a bit of a science to it. I've managed to get most of my 'picky ones' to match. This is not a law forum but technically I think your daughter is supposed to own her own copy, not a second copy of the track you bought. In that regard it would be best to use Apple's gifting service to give her the track.

I can no longer add album art work in iTunes version 10.6.0.40

WHY can I no longer add album art work in iTunes version 10.6.0.40? It is maddening. I have checked many boards and discussion groups but no one has a sure fix. Why is Apple not tending to this problem? They of all groups should know the importance of how something looks.

I had the the same problem albeit with an m4v (same hardware and OS rev too!, iTunes 10.6.3). I was able to add the movie to a new library per Limnos' suggestion here, indicating that iTunes wasn't totally busted. However, I was also able to see the movie in the Recently Added smart playlist (another hat tip to Limnos), although it still did not appear in the Movies section of my iTunes library. (It was also in the iTunes Library.xml file.)
So I called AppleCare, and they directed me to move the file from the external drive where it was living, into the /Users/<Your Name Here>/Movies directory, and to "Add to Library" (Command-O) from that location. Sure enough (and much to my surprise), it showed up immediately (duplicated, actually) in the Movies section of my iTunes library. Subsequent additions to my Library have not misbehaved similiarly.

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

How do you change the album sort order in itunes

It seems that Itunes sorts albums by Artist then Album... How can you change sort order to Album name only.

I've been playing with this and discovered it has to do with your personal ratings (ie stars) for albums and songs - seems iTunes now selects the highest rated album to use for the Artist icon. If you have no ratings it seems (but not always) to select the most recent album/song to use fo rthe display.
I've been able to get iTunes to use specific album artowk by rating both the album and all individual tracks as 5 star. You may need to restart iTunes for the changes to take effect.
But I'd be much happier just telling iTunes which image to use - like we used to be able to do. Yet another step backwards for iTunes 11 (one of many).

Photo albums appear in iPhoto & iTunes, but NOT iPhone

Shot a bunch of pics with the iPhone. Imported into iPhoto - those libraries synced with iTunes & now I have five albums that appear in iTunes.
Selected "Sync photo from iTunes" & checked the "all photos and albums" radio button. Sync progress completes without errors.
No albums appear on my iPhone.
Just says "camera roll".
Why won't the albums sync?

Try the selected albums options, or the selected events options, and check all the boxes.
Note that while pics taken on the phone go into the Camera Roll, pics synced from the computer go in the Photo Library.
Do you have 'albums' or do you have 'events'? By default, iPhoto imports pics as events; albums are manually created in iPhoto. If you have synced 'all photos and albums' checked in iTunes and you have no albums, the photos should still show up in the Photo Library.
After you sync, what shows up in your Photo Library (with the generic sunflower icon)?
EDIT: Ok, you tried that. In the Photos app, do you have a Photo Library?
Also, what version of the iPhone OS and what version of iTunes are you running?

Search for shared library is impossible, as far as I know. Searches supported - are local and internet.
