Album Order in Elements 9 Organizer

In Organizer in Elemrnts 9, under the Media Browser Arrangement Menu the selection "Album Oder" does not appear. Can anyone help? I have tried to drag photos in the album to reoder but it does not work.

Select the album then select album order.
The thumbnails should be numbered sequentially.
Don’t highlight or select the thumbnail frame.
Left click directly in the centre when the hand symbol appears - and drag.
Drop in front of your chosen image when it moves approx 1 cm to the right.

  • Add media in album order

In previous versions of Premier, I could add media from the organizer in album order.  In Premier 12, this no longer seem possible.  Am I overlooking some new and different way to do this, or has this feature been removed from 12?

My main focus has been to get Album photos on the Timeline in the order that they appeared in the Album created in Elements Organizer 12.
In what I wrote previously, I did not offer you companion Project Assets details.
    Way 1.
    1. In Elements Organizer workspace, create Elements Organizer 12 Album
    2. Order Photos in Album there, select all at one time. The ordering of the photos and their file names for the test were
    July 4 2011.jpg
    May 5 2010.jpg
    August 8 2012.jpg
    April 2 2009.jpg
    3. Right click anywhere in the selection, then, in the drop down list, click on Edit with Premiere Elements.
    4. Premiere Elements 12 opens to present all the photos on the Timeline ordered as they were in the Elements Organizer 12 Album
But, the copies of the files in Project Assets are not ordered according to Album Order. If a customized ordering of the photos in Project Assets
is required, then create a folder in Project Assets and drop photos one at a time into the folder according to the Album Order established in Elements Organizer 12.
    Way 2
    1. In the Premiere Elements workspace, Add Media/Elements Organizer.
    2. Select The Album under Local Albums in the left column
    3. With the mouse curse, click on each of the photos in a sort order of by selection technique
    first  select July 4 2011.jpg
    then May 5 2010.jpg
    then August 8 2012.jpg
    then April 2 2009.jpg
    4. When all the files have been selected, then click on Add Files
    Way 3
Order photos in a folder on the hard drive and then import the whole folder into Premiere Elements Project Assets. From Project Assets, the whole folder is dragged to the Timeline where it presents with all the photos ordered as they were in the folder. Ordering of the photos in the folder can be achieved by special renaming or numbering of photos to obtain ordering independent of date taken and original file naming. I prefer this route when I have a Time Lapse Premiere Element project.
    Please review and consider.
    Thanks.

  • How to export an album and keep images in the same order in elements 11 mac

I made an album of my trip to Australia (lots of pictures) and changed the order of the images (not the same as shooting order) and when I export the images in the album to a folder or memorystick, the images are copied to that place but I lost the album order of the images.
How can I prevent that, without having to renumber al 500 images separatly?
    Gr Jos

    Thanks for the tip, Michel
    It worked like a charm…

The order in album is only kept in the organizer database, so the only way not to lose that order is to rename files.
If you are using the 'export' function, select your album in custom order, select all photos and in the dialog, choose to rename with a common base name.

  • How to change slide order in a slide show, in Photoshop Elements Organizer.

In Photoshop Elements Organizer, how do you change the slide order in a slide show?

Start by placing the images in an Album. Then select Album Order.
You can drag the photos into order and they then remain fixed.
Use the Album as a basis for the slideshow.

  • Ordering Photoshop Element Album Print on Kodak Gallery

I have spent many many hours creating an album using Photoshop Element 7,0 and then wanted to print using Kodak Gallery. Did not work. Here is what happened:
Click on the PSE file on the organizer.
Then click 'Order print' and landed on Kodak Gallery site and logged in, I can see my album there but could not find a way to simply order a print copy of it.  Only choice seems to select 'New album' which then would force me to redo all the work, reselecting templates etc...
    What am I missing ?

A bit more details should help here.  Essentially, I am talking about trying to export a PSE album file from Photoshop Element to the Kodak Gallery website to order a print copy. Here how I did it:
    1. Went from 'organiser' to Create Photobook, imported all my pictures and created the pse file using Photoshop Element 6,0 templates, backgrounds etc.
    2. Saved it in Organiser and on a separate file located on my desktop.
    3. Reopen Organiser, clicked on Share, Order print which directed me to Kodak Gallery site. I could see there my pse file or album.
    4. Tried to find a print album function to just order a print copy but did not find anything like it.Always forced to go through their 'New album' function which essentially meant redoing all the work.
    5. Tried to use the print photo function but then would not import or use pse file, only jpeg.
    Hope this help.

  • PS 13 element Organizer changed my album structure

albums filed within album Category changed order. They are not in alpha order any more. This is the third time this has happened and indifferent catalogs.   How can I put albums back in Alpha order

    Hi,
In PSE, there is an option to organize albums in alphabetic order or manual. To bring back your albums in ro alpha order, do follow the below steps:
    1. Go to Preferences.
        Win: Edit>preferences or Ctrl + k
        Mac: Elements Organizer>Preferences or Cmd + k
    2. Go to Keyword Tags and Albums.
    3. In the "Enable Manual Sorting Option", Chose "Alphabetical" for "Albums" category.
    4. Click OK
Please let me know if this doesn't work.
    Thanks,

  • I have 278 photos in Photoshop Elements 13 that I want to upload in album order to Shutterfly for a book.

I am using Photoshop Elements 13 and Windows 8.1.  I have my photos in album order and I want to load them in this order.  When I try to load them to the Cloud they become disorganized.  I can not find a way to upload them to Shutterfly to make a book.  Is there a way to do this?

This is a two part process. First we title the photos, then we export them, using the title as filename.
    To title them
Once you have then in the order you want select them all and go
Photos -> Batch Change. Select set 'Title' to 'Text'
Choose a Title -> Graduation 2013 or whatever, then check the box at 'Append number to each photo.
Now, in the Album all your photos are named... Graduation 001, 002, 003 etc
    Next Export them:
File -> Export, and in the Name option, choose 'Title as Filename' and complete the export.

  • Elements Organizer unable to sign into Mobile Albums

I am using the trial version of Photoshop Elements 12 that I just downloaded and installed.  I'm trying to sign into Elements Mobile Albums- I put in my adobe ID and password and click "sign in" but nothing happens- the login spinner runs but no error message comes up and it doesn't log in.
I first tried this last night when I had never used Revel; since then I've setup and added pictures to my Revel account (there are a few hundred now).  I can access them fine via the web, iPhone, or Mac app.  I have nothing in the Organizer except some system mp3s that it found.
If I put in the wrong password, it gives me an error, so it's not entirely broken.  I tried the "trouble signing in" link and reset my password, but no change.
I'm running on OSX Mavericks; I've not tried any other platforms.

Please checkout the following two KB articles from adobe :

  • Adobe Elements Organizer Albums - Photos not numbered & cannot move photos

In Elements Alpums - Photos not numbered and cannot move photos

When you select an album, the sort by dropdown on the top left corner of the grid has one more option- Album order. Using this you may drag drop media in the grid to re-arrange.
    Thanks

  • Viewing Photos in Album Order

How do I view photos in Album Order I have created in Photoshop Elements album in Revel mobile album ??

    This might help:
in sort by 'Oldest' the arrangement of images in album is same in both adoberevel.com and in Elements  Organizer.
In sort by 'Newest', if it is not the same, and if you want to make it look the same, you can open Organizer preferences, navigate to 'General' category and click the radio button for 'Show newest first within each day' and then close the preferences. Once done, the order of images on adoberevel.com and in Organizer will be same.

  • Photoshop Elements Organizer alphabetic sort

I have been wanting to sort selections in Photoshop Elements Organizer alphabetically by file name.  Does the recently released Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer have that feature or does it still only sort by date?

PSE12 can sort alphabetically in all modes : thumbnail view, My Pictures, Pictures or albums.
In albums, when you open an album it automatically opens in album order sort, except if you have the timeline displayed.
When you add pictures to an album, the added batch is appended to the existing pictures in the order they are shown when you move them.
If you want to create a custom order mainly based on an existing sort (date, import batch, name, old custom order), simply create a new empty album and with the correct starting order, move all the items in your album to the new one. You can then move your pictures around in album (custom) order with less work.

  • How to add media in the album order?

I spent some time to organize the media in Organizer album, but when I open the album to add my media, it appears to be mixed. Is there the way to keep it in the album order?

Seems like this question was posted some time ago, and no one ever replied. So my reply is probably of little use, but I'll post it anyway. When you are viewing the Album components in the PSE Organizer, I assume you are viewing them in the sequence you want to load them on the PRE timeline.
If that is the case, by selecting all of the clips/images, and the clicking on Edit > Video Editor at the bottom of the window should open the clips/images in the same order they appear in the Album.

  • How can I import photos from iPhoto '09 to Elements Organizer 10 while keeping the tags attached?

I have spent a ridiculously long time tagging photos in my iPhotos but I would now like to transfer all my photos to Elements Organizer and preserve all the work I had done.
From Adobe's help website (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/elementsorganizer/using/WS73c05ee9864270ea-417df45c129593bfa05 -8000.html) it says I can import the tags along with the photos but does not explain how:
"Elements Organizer 10 supports importing photos, along with their associated captions, tags, and ratings, from iPhoto. You also have the option to import information such as events and albums to maintain the organization of your library"
When I follow the steps outlined on the website my photos are imported but there are no tags attached to them. I am particularly interested in keeping my facial tags but I suppose it would be useful to know how to keep other keyword tags and ratings as well.
There was a previous question put out on the forums similar to this but it was unresolved and the person decided to just leave everything in iPhoto. I really would prefer to transfer all my photos to Elements Organizer. I don't like the way iPhoto organizes photos but I had to deal with it for several years before I bought Elements Photoshop with built-in Organizer.
    Please Please help!
    Many thanks
    D.M.

You don't import one library to another.  Just copy the library from the iBook to the Pictures folder on shout new MacBook Pro. If you have another library already on the MBP rename it so you don't overwrite it with the old library.
Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select the newly copied library and let iPhoto convert it to the new version.
Do you have photos in the library on the new MacBook Pro that you want to combine with the older library?

  • Max files in Photoshop Elements Organizer

    Hello,
    I have few questions:
    1/
Following this thread, I am wondering what is the limit of PhotoShop Elements Organizer V8 ?? How many pictures can we insert into ONE catalog ?
    2/
I currently have 6000 pictures that I would like to import into PhotoShop Elements Organizer V8, from Adobe PhotoShop Album V1.
Is this possible ? I tried with the trial version, but I have an error when converting the .psa file from PhotoShop Album V1, asking me to try to consolidate or repair the file in the previous program (but it works well in PhotoShop Album V1).
    Any idea ?
    3/
Is the trial version the same than the paid one ? I mean: if I start using the trial, inserting tags and so on, should I uninstall it when buying the full version or could I just buy a serial number and inserting it to unlock the trial ?
    Thanks a lot,
    Kamayana

    John,
You are just MARVELOUS !!!! That's awesome: your website, the informations listed in it, the work you do here on the forum !!
Wow !!! I will purchase this product just for your support. Can I pay you to obtain a support and pay you the software ? Lol
You replied to all my questions !
For 2/, I read before your FAQ (I thought it was Adobe FAQ, I did not pay attention to the URL), I tried it without success (excepted item 9/ which is not possible for me, since PhotoShop Album does not allow writing metadata to files, but maybe your small program can do it ?) ...
But since I do not give up like that, I done the following, you might add it to your FAQ ?
1/ I used the dichotomy method. I was sure that some files gave problems. So, my 6000 pictures have been separated into 6 albums (1000 each). Then, I run the converting tool on each one. All worked, excepted one. This one, I share into 500 pictures each. I run the tool on each one. One was OK, the other one fail. The one which fails has been separated in 250 pictures each... And so on. Until you see which pictures cause problems... In my case, it was some modified pictures (2 of them).
Then, I eliminate this 2 pictures from my initial 6000 catalog, I do the import again, and... SUCCESS !!
Hope it might help someone else.

  • Lightroom versus PhotoShop Elements Organizer and Bridge

This is directed to the Adobe Developer Team
I hope someone of the Developer team is reading this!!
For my understanding the three products out of one house (PhotoShop Elements Organizer, Bridge and Lightroom) doing about the same, should ...
work the same (same idea, same behaviour, organizing by path/subfolders instead of cataloges etc.)
maintain the same database and files (LR should recognize the collections from BR and Vice Versa, use the same cache files etc.) and should
be compatible to each other (e.g. Tags, Collections etc)
    Actually I suggest ADOBE
to eliminate Organizer and integrate the good functions into BRIDGE (e.g. albums, upload to flickr, webpage generation etc)
give BRIDGE as the free of charge picture organizer to PS Elements and to PS CS
change LIGHTROOM into an payable upgrade of BRIDGE with enhanced functionality of the free of charge BRIDGE, (which can work as a stand-alone software as it does today
better integration of PSE, PS CS into Bridge/Lightroom (e.g. Panaorama function opens only PS CS but the version of PSE works much better, so I want to choose in the menu of Bridge/Lightroom)
I am really struggling with the three of them.
Beside that I suggest to get rid of the Catalog idea of Lightroom with it's import/export and synchronization needs and instead use or at least integrate the idea of BRIDGE to get pictures structured and organized by path and subfolders, as this is anyhow how the way pictures are stored already for most of us... I asume. I doubt that anybody just throw all files into one big subdirectory and get the organized into cataloges. But please keep collections as they are helpful to quickly collect some pictures to commonly work on them. by drag & drop. The Catalogues of LR drives me crazy but LR have a lot of nice functions (e.g. Webupload interfaces to flickr and others, nice noice reduction, nice albums and webpage functions, etc.)
    Thanks
Merry X-Mas and a Happy New Year
    Georg
PS: Please all of you comment your experience and opinion on this matter ... I am interested what you think about it.

    Hi George,
Whereas Bridge and Photoshop Elements (and most non-LR users) base their organisation on the file / folder structure, Lightroom uses files / folders simply for storage - the catalog is used for organisation. This 'catalog based approach' provides far more flexibility, both in organisation, and in recording a complete, fully-reversible record of all edits made to each photograph.
    To suggest that Adobe "get rid of the Catalog idea of Lightroom" and "get pictures structured and organized by path and subfolders" would remove almost ALL advantages Lightroom has over Bridge & PS Elements combined. To fully appreciate Lightroom, you need to appreciate that files and folders are not the only way to organise photos. Why not watch a few of the Adobe Lightroom Tutorial videos? This link below takes you to a video explaining about the Catalog;
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/george-jardine-on-lightroom/the-lightroom-catalog/
    However, if you really want Adobe to hear your views, why not raise a Feature request with them, at this link below;
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
I'm sure if you call your feature request 'Remove Catalog from Lightroom, and organise by Folders instead', it'll get noticed, as will any forum posts of the same name...
    Cheers,
    Alan
