Album's hide feature must be password protected

Hide feature of album must be password protected.. As currently via navigating to the hidden folder its very easy to retrieve & view the hidden images..
or either the hidden folder be password protected.. To view the content the user must enter the password first..

It wasn't designed for a 2nd user to start going through user files and enabling show hidden files and folders - It was designed and brought to us as a feature by request - The reason is members or owners didn't want to show friends etc photo's and then accidently show photo's that are private - If you really want to hide and password protect folders then use a Pc with winrar and password protect them that way

  • Can the default image for a password protected album be changed?

    Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked. I have created a number of photo albums to my web gallery and password protected each of them. When I navigate to the main web gallery page however, each of the galleries appear as a black and white graphic of two photos. Is there any way to change this to something else?
    Also, is there a way to send out an invitation to view the gallery as a whole and therefore let people view the albums they want? I just really love the invite card that is created when the album is published from iPhoto.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Can not  open  a  password protected file from OSX2.8 in OSX4.x

    I have a few files that I password protected in OSX2.8 that will not open now in OSX 4.6. The are not part of the vault type protection. It seems that the feature of individually password protecting files in the earlier OSX system do not open, nor give the option to even give the password. In the get info window there is no option to change or type in the password. The password is not related to the administrator password and it seems that it was a feature that did not follow through to the later OSX version. The only alternative I can think of is to install OSX 2 on an external and hope it gives me the option.
    Does anyone know how to deal with this type of individually protected file in OSX 4.6? I have tried the vault, and the get info, but nothing seems to work to even give me the option to enter a password for an individual file. They are jpeg, and QuickTime, and Photoshop .psd files.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Then it's probably not 100%-compatible with the PDF security standard. You
    should post this question on an iText forum.

    Below is the list of steps from the Adobe KB article for installing the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in 6.2 on PSE 8:
    Link to the KB article: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/863/cpsid_86312.html#main_Install Camera Raw 6.1 for Photoshop Elements 8 on Mac OS
    #Install Camera Raw 6.2 plug-in for Photoshop Elements 8 on Mac OS
    Close Photoshop Elements 8 and Bridge CS5.
    Download Camera Raw_6_2.dmg from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4809. Opening the downloaded file mounts the disc image containing the following two files:  Camera Raw.plug-in and cameraprofiles.mpkg.
    Put the new version of the Camera Raw.8bi file that was downloaded into the same location as the original version.
    Navigate to the root of the local disk (not your home folder).
    Navigate to the following location: Applications/PSE8/Plug-Ins/File Formats.
    Move the original plug-in from the location listed in step 5 to a backup location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure that you keep this version in case you want to revert.
    Copy the downloaded copy of the Camera Raw plug-in into the installation location listed under step 6.
    Launch Photoshop Elements 8 or Adobe Bridge CS5.
    To install Camera Profiles, double-click CameraProfiles.mpkg and then follow the on-screen instructions
    Are you following the steps as mentioned above?

  • I can't play password protected vzaar videos on my iPad 2. Any solutions??

    It seems like password protected videos on a variety of online video sharing business platforms no longer work on the iPad 2.
    Unprotecting videos is not an option.
    I believe this was first introduced with iOS 5.
    Does anyone have any solutions to this???

    Hi there,
    I'm afraid the lack of password protection on the iPad with vzaar videos is a limitation of our HTML5 player, so rather than allowing the protected videos to be played on these devices we simply block them while we work on our implementation.
    Our HTML5 player is still relatively new and we're constantly adding features, but obviously password protection is a sensitive issue and we want to make sure we get it right.
    For now, I'd suggest using passwords at a page level to protect the videos, using .htpasswd for instance.
    In future, if you contact us directly at vzaar.com/help we'll be able to get back to you much quicker.
    All the best,
    Dan

  • Does the macbook pro have a password protect feature?

    i'm debating whether or not I need the Kensington ComboSaver Notebook Lock for college. if the macbook pro has a password-protect feature... maybe i don't need the lock

    How would they know there was a password?  Are you hoping to be able to say, "Excuse me, sir, but please don't steal my laptop, it's password protected."  A thief wouldn't care, even if they slowed down to listen... they'd just erase your hard drive and sell the machine.  (Or maybe not even erase the hard drive.)
    Password protection is possible on many levels, some more secure than others, but none will discourage theft.  Password protection's role is to protect against things ranging from casual snooping to determined spying, and the method used determines what can be protected against.  For true data security, you must use encryption.
    However, if you're looking to keep your laptop from getting stolen, you need to simply keep it close, or locked up when not adequately close.  A security cable would be a good investment for leaving a computer unattended in a dorm room or apartment.

  • Can you password protect your mail so when you want to access any mail you must enter a password?

    Can you password protect your email so when you want to access any of your mail accounts you must enter a password?  In other words before I can see my mail I must enter a password.

    On Oct 10, 2007, Matthew Morgan answered this question (discussion is now archived). I wanted to inquire further to his comment:

         Cherster,
         You could go to Settings>General>Passcode Lock and set a password to secure all your      personal data.
    Matthew - in which program are our suggesting going to Settings?
    Thaks.

  • How to password protect "Find My Mac" feature?

    Anyone know how I might password protect the "Find My Mac" feature that's accessible in the iCloud System Preference Pane?  My reasoning is that if someone stole my computer while I was still logged in, it seems far too easy for the thief to simply navigate to the iCloud System Preference screen and uncheck "Find My Mac" to prevent me from tracking down the computer.  Many of the other System Preferences can be padlocked -- seems like this feature should be as well.  Any ideas?

    Old Toad,
    If I password protect my user account, then the person who has stolen my macbook would not able to login. Hence the macbook will not be able to connect to the internet because it could be a new WIFI network that my macbook has not logged in before. If it is not connected to the internet, then we cannot locate it.
    Ideally, we should allow the thief to login to the macbook and allow him to use the WIFI. The iCloud settings should alone be password protected so that the thief will not be able to tinker with that. This way the macbook will come online (which ever wifi network it is) and we will be able to locate it.
    Thanks

  • HT4113 Can I password protect a photo album on my iPhone 5s?

    I want to password protect a photo album, can I do this?

    You can only put a passcode on your phone, not the Photos app.
    There might be an app you can buy that allows for a password - try taking a look in the App Store

  • Password protect iPhoto albums when viewed on an iPad

    Hello - I use my iPad to showcase work to a range of clients. Curiosity is a wonderful aspect of human nature, but we know what it did to the cat!
    Is it possible to create a password protection for albums so I can happily handover my iPad to clients for them to browse their visuals/photoshoots etc. without them being able to open albums with creatives in for other clients.
    Thanks

  • How can I lock / password protect an album?

    I have iPhoto 6. Is there any way I can lock / secure / password protect

    2. Specific Albums and Slideshows I have created?
    Thank you,

    HDP,
    There is a Mac 101 tutorial that may help. Try this page first, then scroll down to where it says "About User Accounts". A bit below that is "Creating User Accounts". It may or may not be useful for you, as I think the tutorials are based on Tiger, and your specs show you on Panther. But take a look, since it might be close enough to help you figure it out on your Mac.

  • Is it possible to password protect albums in iPhoto

    Hi all,
    some of the albums I have in iPhoto contain material not suitable to everyone having acces to my Mac. So I would like to password protect certain albums. Is that possible?

    Ehhh indeed, there are a couple of very easy ways to do this:
    Have two accounts: one for you and one for everybody else.
    Or
    Put these files on an encrypted disk image.
    Look at it from a programmer's point of view: you want everything to be open and accessible except for the bits you don't want open and accessible. These bits that are not to be shared are arbitrary and defined by you alone and based on content. iPhoto may know that Jpeg is a photograph, but has no way of knowing what it's a photo of. The only way to protect things is to change their format. So, you encrypt the file. iPhoto doesn’t offer encryption - it's a $15 photo app and does not claim to offer everything -  so you use the two options the  OS offers for doing the same job.

  • Password-protect and hide one form field

    Hi there,
    I have been browsing through old forum discussions in search of an answer to my question.  A code George Johnson posted was really helpful, but there's  one more function I need to add to it and am struggling to figure it out on my own.
    I am creating a PDF with form fields.  Different depts within the organization will review this PDF and pass it back and forth.  The Admin dept needs one text field called "internal comments" that they can password protect.  They'd like to be able to add text, then password-protect that one field so it's hidden for other depts who review this PDF.  Admin will need the copy to be visible to them when they enter their password.
    The script I found works really well (see below).  I set up a button to house the script, and when you click it, it locks and unlocks the "internal comments" text field with the password.  However, I can't figure out how to HIDE the "internal comments" text field after someone in Admin inputs their information.   I tried setting up a Show/Hide Field action, but I can't get it to work.  And I'm just not savvy enough to know how to alter the Javascript.
    How can I specify that the "internal comments" text field be HIDDEN when a user enters their password for "deactivate this field", and VISIBLE when they enter a password for "activate this field"?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    (function () {
        // Get one of the fields in the group
        var f = getField("private.name");
        // Determine new readonly state, which
        // is the opposite of the current state
        var readonly = !f.readonly;
        var readonly_desc = readonly ? "deactivate" : "activate";
        // Ask user for password
        var resp = app.response({
            cQuestion: "To " + readonly_desc + " the fields, enter the password:",
            cTitle: "Enter password",
            bPassword: true,
            cLabel: "Password"
        switch (resp) {
        case "your_password": // Your password goes here
            getField("private").readonly = readonly;
            app.alert("The fields are now " + readonly_desc + "d.", 3);
            break;
        case null : // User pressed Cancel button
            break;
        default : // Incorrect password
            app.alert("Incorrect password.", 1);
            break;

    You could modify the section of code to something like:
            case "your_password": // Your password goes here
            getField("private").readonly = readonly;
            getField("private").display = readonly ? display.hidden : display.visible;
            app.alert("The fields are now " + readonly_desc + ".", 3);
            break;
    So it toggles both the readonly property and the display property.
    Edit: corrected typo.
