Album that show photos from one year ago today

I want to be able to create an Album that shows pictures from exactly one year ago to the current date. It would be auto updating.
any idea if this is possible?

Set it so that the date is in the last 365 days and the date isn't in the last 364 days. This will show photos from exactly 365 days ago.

  • Who can help me use Time Machine to find some photos from a year ago?

    I need to know how to retrieve some photos from a year ago that should be stored on my ext. drive.  I have Time Machine....Mac OSX 10.9.1.  I have tried to do it and Time Machine tells me there is not enough room to download my old Picture Library.  I don't want to download the whole liibrary.  I just want to locate one event or album that contains the pictures I am seeking.  Isn't there a way to open the Picture library from a year ago and select just the pictures that I want to bring back to my current IPhoto Library?  I need some hlep with this.  I have never tried it before.
    Dick

    The best solution to your problem is to restore the old library to a volume on an external drive, then open it in iPhoto and export the images you want.
    Enter Time Machine and select the item you want to retrieve in a snapshot. From the action menu (gear icon) in the toolbar select Restore ... to... and choose the destination you want. Then click the Restore button in the lower right corner of the display.

  • Since upgrade of aperture, my photos from a year ago are not in library.  On time machine, they are there, but I cant transfer them to todays aperture library because it says the old version is not supported.  Please help!!

    Since the upgrade of Aperture, my photos from a year ago are not showing up.  When I go to time machine, they show up in the library, but I cant transfer them to my todays aperture because it says the old program needs to be updated.  How do I get my pics from a year ago transferred to todays Aperture?  Please help!!!!

    You will be restoring the old Aperture library from TM, having it on the Desktop is fine.
    Once the restore is finished you will have the old Aperture library in that folder. Now you want to open this library by double clicking it (the library). This will open Aperture on it and Aperture will  tell you the library needs to be upgraded. Let Aperture upgrade the library.
    Once the Library is upgraded to the latest version of Aperture you can do want you want with it. Once you have gotten to this point if you still need help post back.

  • Can I view history from one year ago?

    I'm trying to find out what sites I was on one year ago but the history only keeps track up to 6 months. Is there any way to retrieve history from a year ago?

    No, if history is only kept for 6 ,months then older history is no longer available.<br />
    The default in Firefox 3 versions is to keep history for 180 days (6 months).<br />
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.history_expire_days
    In Firefox 4+ that has changed to a maximum number of pages that is kept.<br />
    So you can update to Firefox 8 and it will remember more history, but you can't get back older history.<br />
    <br />
    There is no time limit in Firefox 4+ versions for the history.<br />
    Firefox determines automatically how many pages can be kept without affecting the performance.<br />
    You can see the current value via the reads-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_max_pages on the about:config page.
    See:

  • I want to see events on my iphone calendar that I had from a year ago, but my events only go back 6 months even when I go into settings and put all events

    I want to see events that I had a year ago on my iphone calendar, but they only go back 6 months and if I go to settings and choose "all events" then nothing shows up as an event!!

    Are your contacts stored in an MS Exchange server, in iCloud, or some other source? Setting the Sync to less than All Events should not delete events, but only stop showing them on your device. However, Outlook also has a setting to actually delete events older than a certain date. Have you checked that?
    If you log in to iCloud.com (and you are syncing with iCloud) what do you see? Whatever is there is all you can get on the iPhone, unless you can restore from another source.
    I also suggest enabling iCloud Backup (settings/icloud - Storage and Backup). This will create a new backup any time your phone is connected to power and WiFi, so you will always have a current backup, painlessly.

    Hello,
    Currently we are using the Aged0to30days as well as Aged31to60 days to view changes in our inventory for a particular item. However, I would like to retrieve data from exactly one year go for each day. Is there a formula or function that can be used(that goes hand-in-hand) with the two i had mentioned above? Thanks in advance.

    Just to clarify, you are looking for a 30-60 day report, but based on last years date.
    so  if today is 01-24-2008, you want the data to return APX  01-24-2007 to 03-24-2007

    Just bought a new iPhone 4S 64 gig. When I restored my existing iCloud info to the new device - it only restored photos, text messages, and call lists from 2011. How can I regain the current back that still exists on my previous iphone 4.

    Once the restore is finished you will have the old Aperture library in that folder. Now you want to open this library by double clicking it (the library). This will open Aperture on it and Aperture will  tell you the library needs to be upgraded. Let Aperture upgrade the library.

  • Why is it impossible to buy the LR6 upgrade for the LR5 that I have bought one year ago?

    Hello, I have spent about four hours trying to get the LR6 upgrade for the perfectly legally bought LR5.
    Nothing is possible. The CC contract does not apply where I live.
    It is the only choice I have in France.
    The ID I got from Adobe when I last updated does not pass through.
    Well...I'll either do the things when I go to South Africa or maybe I use a proxy or a torrent.
    This is a crazy situation and not for the first time, either. The LR4 I got in Norway after a similar frustrating thing.
    And no, 'hosts' file has been cleaned already.
    I cannot understand an enterprise fighting against its willing clients.
    Madmen!
    The tech support guy was very friendly but his advice got me nowhere.
    Let's torrent now!

    WOW! Man! And now a short explanation why this link is such a well kept
    secret. While you are at it, explain to me why I had to actually create
    (again) a new, clean Adobe account to avoid the CC deal? In the French shop
    with my old accounts, that was the only possibility available.
    Your sales department must be from another planet completely.
    Once upon a time I only managed to download the LR 4 in NORWAY!
    The French shop did not feel like it.
    LR 5 upgrade was so smooth that I thought you had changed the crew but now
    the LR6 business set another record as it comes to idiocy.
    Yes, I got finally the stuff I wanted. I went to the FINNISH shop and got
    it from there with a brand new account.
    It took me two hours on three days to get this upgrade.
    You must be pretty f proud of yourselves there!!!
    Why do people pirate Adobe stuff? Because it is so difficult to buy it!

    1 Dec 2010 and it just kept on snowing for two days.

    Yours also a nice shot.... reminded me how deserted everything was.
    I pulled back the curtains and saw the car,  thought wow how am I going to dig that out???
    Then looked at the road and thought Naaahhh can't dig that lot out!!!!
    I bought a snow shovel this year and that seems to have kept the snow away so far!!!!

  • Analytic function to retrieve a value one year ago

    Hello,
    I'm trying to find an analytic function to get a value on another row by looking on a date with Oracle 11gR2.
    I have a table with a date_id (truncated date), a flag and a measure. For each date, I have at least one row (sometimes 2), so it is gapless.
    I would like to find analytic functions to show for each date :
    sum of the measure for that date
    sum of the measure one week ago
    sum of the measure one year ago
    As it is gapless I managed to do it the week doing a group by date in a subquery and using a LAG with offset set to 7 on top of it (see below).
    However I'm struggling on how to do that for the data one year ago as we might have leap years. I cannot simply set the offset to 365.
    Is it possible to do it with a RANGE BETWEEN window clause? I can't manage to have it working with dates.
    Week :LAG with offset 7
    SQL Fiddle
    or
    create table daily_counts
      date_id date,
      internal_flag number,
      measure1 number
    insert into daily_counts values ('01-Jan-2013', 0, 8014);
    insert into daily_counts values ('01-Jan-2013', 1, 2);
    insert into daily_counts values ('02-Jan-2013', 0, 1300);
    insert into daily_counts values ('02-Jan-2013', 1, 37);
    insert into daily_counts values ('03-Jan-2013', 0, 19);
    insert into daily_counts values ('03-Jan-2013', 1, 14);
    insert into daily_counts values ('04-Jan-2013', 0, 3);
    insert into daily_counts values ('05-Jan-2013', 0, 0);
    insert into daily_counts values ('05-Jan-2013', 1, 1);
    insert into daily_counts values ('06-Jan-2013', 0, 0);
    insert into daily_counts values ('07-Jan-2013', 1, 3);
    insert into daily_counts values ('08-Jan-2013', 0, 33);
    insert into daily_counts values ('08-Jan-2013', 1, 9);
    commit;
    select
        date_id,
        total1,
        LAG(total1, 7) OVER(ORDER BY date_id) total_one_week_ago
      from
          select
            date_id,
            SUM(measure1) total1
          from daily_counts
          group by date_id
    order by 1;
    Year : no idea?
    I can't give a gapless example, would be too long but if there is a solution with the date directly :
    SQL Fiddle
    or add this to the schema above :
    insert into daily_counts values ('07-Jan-2012', 0, 11);
    insert into daily_counts values ('07-Jan-2012', 1, 1);
    insert into daily_counts values ('08-Jan-2012', 1, 4);
    Thank you for your help.
    Floyd

    Hi,
    Sorry, I;m not sure I understand the problem.
    If you are certain that there is at least 1 row for every day, then you can be sure that the GROUP BY will produce exactly 1 row per day, and you can use LAG (total1, 365) just like you already use LAG (total1, 7).
    Are you concerned about leap years?  That is, when the day is March 1, 2016, do you want the total_one_year_ago column to reflect March 1, 2015, which was 366 days earlier?  If that case, use
    date_id - ADD_MONTHS (date_id, -12)
    instead of  365.
    LAG only works with an exact number, but you can use RANGE BETWEEN with other analytic functions, such as MIN or SUM:
    SELECT DISTINCT
              date_id
    ,         SUM (measure1) OVER (PARTITION BY date_id)    AS total1
    ,         SUM (measure1) OVER ( ORDER BY      date_id
                                    RANGE BETWEEN 7 PRECEDING
                                          AND     7 PRECEDING
                                  )                       AS total1_one_week_ago
    ,         SUM (measure1) OVER ( ORDER BY      date_id
                                    RANGE BETWEEN 365 PRECEDING
                                          AND     365 PRECEDING
                                  )                       AS total1_one_year_ago
    FROM      daily_counts
    ORDER BY  date_id
    Again, use date arithmetic instead of the hard-coded 365, if that's an issue.
    As Hoek said, it really helps to post the exact results you want from the given sample data.  You're miles ahead of the people who don't even post the sample data, though.
    You're right not to post hundreds of INSERT statements to get a year's data.  Here's one way to generate sample data for lots of rows at the same time:
    -- Put a 0 into the table for every day in 2012
    INSERT INTO daily_counts (date_id, measure1)
    SELECT  DATE '2011-12-31' + LEVEL
    ,       0
    FROM    dual
    CONNECT BY LEVEL <= 366

  • Yesterday, as today's deadline for filing tax returns approached, I was paralyzed by the inability to create new IRS PDF forms and to retrieve archived ones from a year ago. My computer went crazy. 24 hours later, I am still paralyzed. Can you help?

    My computer went crazy yesterday on two occasions involving PDF documents. One dealt with attachments to an email from a bona fide corporation. The other dealt with IRS PDF forms & schedules needed for today's submission.
    As both dealt with PDF and had nothing else in common, I suspected my PC had a virus. When I asked a local store technician, he agreed. I turned to Norton, which protects my PC from viruses, and after a few hours of really thorough searching, the computer was found to have no viruses.
    Before describing what I call "crazy" computer behavior, you need to know that I have long had IE8 as my default browser but a few weeks ago switched to Mozilla Firefox because IE8 had beome incompatible with some websites from which I get information.
    When I received the email from AT&T email service and clicked the first of four icons representing attachments, there was figuratively an explosion on my monitor: a series of new tabs, each called New Tab, burst onto the monitor--but no text or picture. The new tabs appeared faster than I coul kill them. I finally decided just to shut down the computer, hoping they would not reappear when I restarted. I was wrong. After 2 repeats, I decided to forget about the attachments and asked the sender to send them to me by regular mail.
    That was no solution for my IRS PDFs. I wanted to complete filling in the various forms and schedules that I had begun months ago so that I could mail them today to the IRS (without having to copy them all in ink). When I tried to open the first one, BOOM. The same thing happened: the blizzard of New Tabs atop blank pages; my IRS form or schedule did not show up. Did the same shutdown/restart routine with the same results.
    When I looked at the list of current forms that had to be completed, I noticed something very strange: the icons that began the listing of the documents' names were replaced one by one by Mozilla icons. When I moused over them, they said Firefox HTML. Why?
    Starting the day today, I had the same experience. What's more, when I started to retrieve 2012 IRS PDFs from a year ago, the same New Tab tabs appeared and had to be killed, and Mozilla icons replaced whatever icon was there before.
    Assuming that the problem arose with Adobe Reader's reading of the PDFs, I contacted Adobe but got no helpful phone number because PDFs are a free service and was directed to use this Forum to get help.
    What do I have to do to (a) read and use PDFs in the normal way and (b) remove the Mozilla icon from those that have appeared on icon documents. If Mozilla is the source of the problem, shall I go back to IE8? (In my 80s, I want eventually to replace my old computer but for the time being I must continue using it. It will not take an IE9. Anther possible default browser would be Google Chrome, but I have unfavorable impressions of it because of its intrusiveness, loading my PC with stuff I do not need.
    Can you help?

    The problem is absolutely not Reader. The problem is that FireFox has stepped in front of Reader and handles all the PDF stuff - wrongly in your case. FireFox is DESIGNED to take over PDF files. But it is not capable of doing IRS forms!
    To start with go back to IE for these forms. When you save them to disk DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK ON THEM until this is fixed. Just open the in the normal way - start Adobe Reader and use Open from the File menu.

    I need to move 1000 photos from one library to another. How do I do that and keep the ratings and dates they were created? I tried exporting them, but it loses all info. Also, how do I move the quicktime movies from one iphoto library to another? They were exported as jpgs

    Add both libraries to iPhoto Library Manager.  Then select the events or albums that you want to copy from library A  and drag them to library B in iPLM.
