Album View and Cover Flow View are not available in iTunes 7
Hi,
When I connect my iPod, in the iTunes 7, the options for Album view and Cover Flow View are disabled for the song list on my iPod. I only have a list view for them. However, at the same time, the songs on the library can be viewed in any of the three (3) views.
What might be the possible reason and is there any options to view your iPod songs in Cover Flow View in iTunes (while it is connected)?
Please solve this query of mine.

There are a few tv shows that played this week that are not available on itunes from tnt. Why are they not available for download. We watch these each week, and I have checked to be sure that there was actually an episode this week, and there was.
Under other "sync-able" players, there's usually the "Sync only checked items" radio button. Not for the 2.0 Apple TV. There's no option, but acts as though that option ("sync only, etc...") has been selected. Figured it out after an hour of walking back and forth from my Mac to the TV. Argh.
Try it. De-select the shows, sync the AppleTV and look under the "TV Shows" and the one's you've unchecked will not be there.

Annoying bug: Duplicate albums in the Cover Flow view
When viewing my music via the Cover Flow view (sorting Album by Artist) I frequently come across an album that appears twice. For example, I see two copies of Florence and the Machine's "Lungs" side by side. The first copy contains the first track on the album and the second copy has the remainder of the album.
My first thought was "Oh, I must have mislabeled the album field of that first track so it's being saved as a different album... maybe I put in an extra space or something." But when I view the album in the Finder, all the tracks are in the same album folder. Just to be sure, I selected all the tracks on the album in iTunes and made sure the Album info field was correct, checked the checkbox, and clicked OK. Still nothing changes.
I was finally able to fix this by selecting all the tracks on the album in iTunes and changing the Album info field to a completely NEW name (in this example "Lungs TEMP", then selecting them all again and renaming them BACK to the CORRECT name (Lungs). Ta da... Yea. Now there's only one "Lungs" album in Cover Flow.
No big deal if I only had to do this once, but this bug exists all over the place! 11,000 songs is a lot to sort through. It's almost like iTunes is caching bad data somewhere, but I don't know how to delete this cache.

Unable to view microsoft office files (2011) with quick view and cover flow
I am unable to view office for mac 2011 files in quick view or cover flow. All I see is the generic icon and not the preview. I've searched a number of forums but haven't found a solution.
ThanksYea, I did do a Time Machine restore not too long ago. Perhaps that was the cause. In any case, I went by the apple store day before yesterday to see if they could help me (I use quick look a lot!), and the tech's opinion was the my whole system was running slow and buggy, so he suggested to go ahead and spend the time doing a clean install of the OS. I did this yesterday... quick look for office docs is back, and my system is soooooo much faster and problem free now. Looking back, the ability of OS X to reinstall without erasing the boot disc is a blessing and curse. I upgraded instead of cleanly reinstalling when I got Snow Leopord, and recently did a time machine restore when I was having some problems. With windows, I was doing a clean reinstall at least once a year. Perhaps doing it once every two years or so is a good idea for mac. The biggest headache is importing all my old mailboxes into mail, and sorting through the duplicates that get created.

For all people struggling with connecting their iPad to their router, constantly getting 'Incorrect Password' even though you have entered the correct one - this may be your solution as it just resolved my issue.
In your router settings online (usually found at 198.168.1.1) change your security from WPA2 or WEP to WPA. For my iPad it for some reason only accepts WPA but now it is running without problems. Let me know if this helps.

Album view and Cover Flow problem
Well, im going to get one of the new ipods soon and they have that Cover Flow feature which is pretty cool. Anyway i have a problem, when i try and sort them by album, i go to Album View and even if the album names are the same, they arnt in the same box, because they have various artists. Ill show some pics now.

See how they arnt in the same box because of their artists? Then when i go to Cover Flow tab, to see how it will look on my ipod it comes up like this

All the ones without artcovers so far, are all the songs from the album "MOS" like you saw in the previous picture. So does anyone know how to fix that problem? Because i dont want like 20 MOS albums showing up on the Ipod with only 1 song in each of them when i can have them all in one.
ThanksYou need to select the "Compilation" button on each to overide the fact that there is a different artist for each song. think about it, the chances of two different artists having the same name for an album is pretty big. How is any music jukebox supposed ot know that they're the same....
select all the songs, open apple/control "I" and click on compilations on bottom right. -
I can't sort using other columns because the sorting is stuck/ locked on release date. This is only true for my iTunes U Library. My other libraries and playlists for Music, Movies and TV Shows, Books can be sorted.

After performing Export and Import in SharePoint 2013 for a subsite, metadata is missing in document library. 404 error triggers on clicking both View-properties of an item and /Forms/DisplayDocument.aspx.

Why iPhone 4s and iPad 2 mini are not recognized by iTune.
I have and iPhone 4s and a iPad 2 mini who have been upgraded to iOS 7.1.1 both and now that i want to sync them to my computer who is running windows 7 premium family edition, they are not recognized. I get this when i plug in my phone or pad ( this iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes). I have done that twice and nothing is happening getting frustrated please help....

Date, time and other possible items are not available in menu bar
My menu bar is not visible at the top right corner of the screen. Spotlight has also disappeared. This is true for all users and even when I reboot.
System caches have been cleared, prebindings rebuilt and all applications using the sidebar have been deleted from the system.
Is there any way of recuperating the menu bar without re-installing OS X?

My purchased items are not available in iTunes
None of my purchased items are showing up in the iTunes Store. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? Thanks! This problem shows up on my iPhone 4S (with latest software update), Apple TV 3 (latest software update) and my MacBook Pro (latest software). I am getting the message, "You do not have any purchased movies available to download." The same is for my TV Shows and Music. I know for a fact that I have a lot of music, movies, and TV Shows purchased, and I have been able to view/listen to them before on my Apple TV.

TS3697 Most of my photos are not available in iTunes
When I sync my iPod or iPhone to iTunes, only approximately 600 photos are available for syncing....I have almost 7,000 photos. All the photos appear in iPhoto. All my software is up to date. I tried clearing out the iPod Photo Cache as suggested by others.
I have recently cleared out the following Cache to free up disk space:

/Library/Caches

I called Apple, they said the problem most likely is a corrupted iPhoto Library. (I remember getting an error message regarding my photos after I installed the latest version of iPhoto.)
He began to walk me through the process. He said to first export my library. He recommended that I put it on my desktop. Not enough room so I plugged in my external hard drive. It was taken forever so I made arrangements to call back. Well I left for awhile and when I came back I got an error message that it could not be completed.
BUT, when I plugged in my iPod/iPhone I now had 1700 photos available for download.
I called Apple again. This person agreed it was a corrupted iPhoto file. She believed that it probably got corrupted when I updated iPhoto most likely because my harddrive does not have enough room. I have maybe 5GB left. She recommended copying my files and trying to rebuild them.
I am debating whether to migrate my iMovie files to another disk to free up space and try again. Or waiting for the new iMacs to be released which might be as soon as this week and then try. -
Rentals (How come some movies are not available on itunes but on apple tv?
Was going to rent a movie on itunes however it said it was only available on apple tv? Does that mean I can only watch it on apple tv and not on my mac? What is the purpose?
It's just the way it is - previously HD rentals were only available via AppleTv though this seems to be changing and there may even be some HD films to purchase now. There may also be a difference with SD content.
How Apple can sell/rent movies/TV Shows will be strictly governed by the movie companies/studios who own the rights, and they or Apple for one reason or another may have limited what can be rented where either for commercial or logistical reasons.
I suspect there was partly a case of Apple assuming no point allowing HD rentals from iTunes because they assumed there's be no benefit for iPod/iphone users whose devices would not be HD capable - of course they may have discounted people who want to watch a movie on their laptop or computer.
It could also be a case of limiting demand while server backbone architecture is improved - AppleTV users will be a minority compared to other iTunes users so treading the water with say HD rentals on this device will have less of an overnight impact on demand/capacity of servers to deliver the goods.
Truth is, it's just the way it is, but is likely to change to a more logical model over time, but there'll stil be widespread differences in content availability/pricing from country to country. -
How to show one album art image for a compilation album in cover flow view?
I just finished getting album art for my entire music collection. Now I go to the Cover Flow view or the Album view and individual songs in compilation albums each have their own album art instead of being grouped together under the same album art. For instance I have a "Buddha Bar" Album with various artists. Instead of having one image for the album, each artist has his or her own image (all the same Buddha Bar album art). So a compilation CD with various artists ends up having 15 images instead of one image in the Album art or Cover Flow view which makes it harder to look through my albums. Does anybody know if it is possible to change this?

"Bob Dylan", "The Band" and "Bob Dylan & The Band" are three distinct values that can't be linked together. Sort values can change where in a list things are displayed but shouldn't be used to attempt to merge different values as results are undefined and unpredictable.
