Albums have vanished from Project! - Please Help
Hello there...
Every few months i create a new Project folder and then create albums within.
My latest Project folder had several albums, one light table and one book (in process).
The other morning i opened Aperture and all the albums etc.within this Project had vanished!
I could not believe my eyes. As i'd been editing until very late the previous night i assumed i must have done something silly without realising...
I created a new album in the same Project and put about 50 images into it.
Today i opened Aperture to continue work on this Album and AGAIN it has gone!
I searched in all other projects, nothing.
So i did a test and created an album in the Project with only one photo in it. Quit Aperture and re-launched and again it's gone, vanished.
This makes no sense. Yes my hard drive is totally full, running slow etc. and i'm about to transfer a heap of files to an external hard drive, but nevertheless i had no warning dialog box from Aperture (as i would expect). And everything else is ok.
I did another test and created a New Project with just one photo and made an album and light table with the one photo. Quit and re-launched and it is there... So it seems to be only the one Project which was fine for weeks...
Can somebody please help me work out/understand what is going on. I've had this version of Aperture (2.1.4) for quite some time with no worries...
Any ideas or thoughts would be most appreciated

Seeing as no one else has any contribution i thought you may like some possible lines of thought.
How many images in the Project. 1000 works, more and things begin to get less predictable, 5000 is asking for trouble. Did you do a lot of work then close while possibly some background processing is going on. Leave it a while before closing.
Is it Project specific it sounds like it may be. Is it File specific, do you format the card in the camera frequently.
Try different options to make the Albums Q field >Album from selection. Drag to Album. Highlight images then Album from selection. etc. Allan

N80 programs vanished from menus - please HELP!

Let me describe the problem.
I have a N80 phone, and a couple of days I came back home later than usual and noticed that the battery was discharged, causing the phone to turn off (not something unusual, as I allow my phone to completely drain the battery from time to time). I connected the charger and turned it on.
While checking, something seemed odd, and entering the menu after the boot I was shocked: most of my programs were gone from the menu without a trace, and the ones that were left just wouldn't start when trying to run them. Even the apps management tool which uninstalls programs couldn't locate the missing apps. All of my programs were stored on my memory card.
Now, I wouldn't be bothered about games too much, but it seemed that all my time management programs, which store crucial data, are gone as well.
I tried everything there is to try:
-restoring an old backup
-re-updating my phone's firmware then restoring an old backup
-hard-resetting the phone
-scanning and defragmenting my memory card using a card reader
No luck.
I tried checking how much free space I have on my memory card, and there wasn't a difference, so I'm guessing my programs are STILL THERE, wierdly my N80 just can't locate/access them.
Please help me, suggest anything or tell me how to fix this situation. I'd be grateful!

I had my X-plore to do just that, and I've installed Y-Browser following your advice.
Still, I have no idea what to look for or where. As I know, the 9.1 system is hidden as opposed to 7.0 where I could simply navigate to e:/system/apps/programname and execute my desired program. Only with a card reader I've been able to see what the phone doesn't show, and still I have no idea what I should be looking for trying to fix this situation. -
I backed my old iphone up to my computer and bought a new iphone. When i backed my new phone up I now I have an icloud photo (from my computer) album that I want to delete from my phone but I do not have the option. Please help.
If the album was synced to your phone from your computer, it can only be removed by sycing it off. To do this, deselect the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync.

It sounds like it still has her information on it, so it might be efficient to navigate to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings. You can then set up the phone again, using your information. This way the phone will be yours, officially, and her data and information will be removed.

Was it purchased from an official Apple Store, not a reseller? Only Apple Stores sell official factory unlocked phones. The others sell hacked to unlock phones, and the unlocking is unstable.
Try these steps, as needed:
1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
3. Replace SIM card (and reset network settings again)
4. Restore Phone in iTunes using a backup
5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup -
After i updated my iPhone i realized i do not have my camera anymore how to get it back? I also using a new notebook so I do not have a back up to transfer it from. Please help
I'm assuming you mean you don't have your camera application (which is not saved on any backup anyway).
One way to find it is to get to your home screen, swipe the screen from right to left, and type "Camera" in the search field. Camera is a core Apple app and cannot be deleted, so it must be there somewhere.
An alternate approach is to do Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout -

iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490 ) and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
Open iTunes.
Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Parental Controls tab.
Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

SCCM 2007 - All clients from primary site have vanished from central site collections
Hi all,
we have a SCCM 2007 R2 setup with one central site, one Primary Site (A) with a secondary site hanging off it and another Primary Site (B). Suddenly all the clients from the Primary Site A (and also it's Secondary Site) have vanished from the central
site. All the clients are still present when we check Collections from the admin console on Primary Site A site server - they have simply disappeared when we check Collections from the Central Site admin console.
Can anyone provide any info on a good starting point for troubleshooting this issue? As a sidenote, we can still push packages out to the Primary Site A distribution point and both the Primary and Central site can communicate/ping each other.
Any help/info would be much appreciated!

iPhoto isn't in my applications to I can't drag it to dock. All images and movies are still on Mac (heart did stop as I thought I'd lost everything and nearly cried) but I don't know how to get iPhoto back. I'm worried about trying different things as don't want to lose anything on Mac. Noticed that I haven't been using Time Machine and bought a couple of years ago so not sure what operating with. I have our 2 CDs from when we bought the Mac - 13-inch Macbook Pro (Mac OS X Install DVD) and 13 inch MacBook Pro (Applications Install DVD). My photos are not backed up so not sure if I need to do this first - can I back up to iCLoud or do I need newer software?

To repair your iPhoto Library you basically select your iPhoto Library in the Finder, hold down the key-combination ⌥⌘ very firmly, then double click the iPhoto library to open the "LIbrary First Aid" panel. Select "Repair Database" to repair your database files in the library. You may also add an "Repair Permissions", if the first repair did not help.
If all fails, try "Rebuild Database", but that should not be tried without a current backup. Did you bring a portable drive with you?
You did not mention your iPhoto version; if your version is not the most recent 9.4.3, look at this document on how to run the repair: iPhoto 6 and later: Rebuilding the iPhoto library

You don't say what your version of Windows you have. Assuming XP, go to Start | Run, type DXDIAG and click OK. Click the Sound tab and run the tests to eliminate a hardware problem first of all. If you don't hear anything, check your cables first of all. Also make sure "Mute" isn't checkmarked in your sound setup. You'll find that in Windows Control Panel.
Which browser do you use? If you have Firefox 4, sign up to the HTML5 trial @ http://www.youtube.com/html5
HTML5 is the latest video standard and doesn't require Flash player. Google is in the process of converting all its files to work with the new format. It may solve you problem. If you don't have Firefox 4, you can get it from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
IE8 doesn't support HTML5.
To clean out your temp files, go to Start | Run, type: CLEANMGR and click OK. Click OK again to start the utility. Tick all the boxes except "Compress old files" because the latter takes too long, and then click OK. You can run this utility any time you wish by the way.

Unfortunately, Adobe has quit support of earlier version. They have a version of AA9 Pro for Windows posted, but not for the MAC as I understand it. You can try Adobe Acrobat X (10) Pro, Reader, and Suite Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools, but again I can only find PC versions. Someone may drop by with a link or you might see if anyone locally has the CD (that you could get the install file from). You will still need to use your original S/N.

DimitrisIt would appear that your system is somewhat mangled, and it is time for some general 'servicing'.
Start here:
Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Leopard.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.
