Albums not showing up - help!

Some of my songs were deleted from my iTunes Library so I reinstalled them and put them onto my iPod Touch 5th Generation running iOS 7.0.3 and they did not show up in the "Albums" list. They are only showing up in the "Artists" list but I want them to show up in the "Albums" list so that I can play them all as one.
Also, one of my albums is showing up as two different albums even though I installed it at the same time and the album is not a compilation.
Is there any way to fix these problems?
  Many thanks in advance

Does the songs you installed say they have an album title? Mine didn't have album titles so they never showed up till I added a title.
For the 2 album problems, have you tried retyping the album and artist names in again? They tend to be confused in apple and will be 2 until you retype them again.

  • Purchased albums not showing in the Albums view

I purchased an album and it is not showing up in the Albums view on the iPhone. It does, however, show up when I go to the Artists list or the Songs list. Can anyone help with this?

It looks like no one has responded, but I think I may be seeing a similar problem on my iPhone, but not in iTunes. I have three albums titled "Greatest Hits" (Journey, Pat Benatar, and ZZ Top). Any mode that doesn't have artwork associated with them, they are listed separately, but with Artwork displayed, all of the songs are listed under Journey. I'm not sure if this is the same as your problem, but it is odd how the iPhone groups songs by album name and not artist.

  • Certain artists, albums not showing on ipod but do show in Library.  Why?

My 60 gb ipod is synced with my Itunes library - which has all my cd's downloaded into it. However, even though an artist or album may show in my Itunes library, it doesn't show on my ipod.
For instance Maroon 5 Songs About Jane CD doesn't show when I search Maroon 5 in Artists or Maroon 5 in Genre but it does show when I look up the album name in Album. With nearly 1000 albums on my ipod, I'm not always able to remember an album name.
    How do I fix this?

This is a very annoying problem that I have encountered myself. The only way I found to fix this is in iTunes (when the iPod is connected) to go into the iPod's music list to where the artist is and edit the artist's name (this can also be done with the track title as well). Sometimes there is an extra space at the end of the name, or even before hand. Just make sure it's the proper name/title and that there aren't any unwanted spaces added to it. Once you do this, the iPod should recognize that the song is there when it's disconnected.
    Hope this helps you.

  • IPhoto : photo wihout album not showing up

    Hello,
In iPhoto, i use Smart Album "Album not any" to class my photos in different album. Lately, when i am syncing iPhone with my Macbook, no new photos shows up in that album (they pop in Library though), as if they had already an album...
I wanted to see if there was a problem with iPhotos, so i deleted all my albums. Then I created a smart album "Album not any", and only 2000 photos shows up (library has 3000).
Would you know how to fix that issue ?
    Thank you!
    Jinme

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Previously downloaded album not showing up

I downloaded a album not to long ago, it has since vanished from my library and I can't re-download it. It also does not show up on my previous download tab. If I search for it in the store it says purchased, but it does not have the icloud function so I can get it. It only has the gift or share tabs next to it. There has got to be a way for me to get it. At this point I can't even purchase it again. Any help???

    Hi again tyonan,
You should be able to access your past purchases in the Purchased section of the iTunes Store.
    iTunes Store
Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you'll see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
Click the Download  icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.

  • Newly imported albums not showing up on aTV

I am running iTunes 9.0 on a Mac Mini and aTV 2.4. I do not store any content physically on the aTV drive. I stream everything wirelessly from iTunes. All of the albums, artists, etc. that were in my iTunes library when I first set up my aTV are showing up in the My Music section of my aTV; however, I just added a few new albums to my iTunes library and they are not showing up anywhere on the aTV. I would think that the aTV would automatically refresh its list to mirror what is in my physical iTunes library on the Mac Mini, but obviously it is not doing that. How do I get it the aTV to refresh what it's list so that my new imports show up?
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Why is my Complet My Album not showing up for purchases I made 2 days ago?

I was wondering why after only two days the complete my album for my new songs went away and why my brand new purchased songs do not show up on my itunes store purchased section but they appear in my itunes and I've received the email from apple telling me what I've purchased so I was just confused as to what is going on. Can anyone help?

    Hi everybody.
Same thing is appening to me
    The rss feed is: http://www.nente.it/Podcast/NenTE-Podcast.xml
    The iTunes URL is: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=268671382
My feed has been approved about 10 days ago and still it doesnt appear in search.
    Plus it happens the following:
The first days I checked iTunes with the phobos link. The page of my podcast looked correct.
But now, the podcast image seems missing. It has been substituted with a broken chain.
I didn't made any change to my xml file. The linked jpg it hasn't been moved or changed. It can be accessed normally at: http://www.nente.it/Podcast/Nente-Podcast.jpg. I've checked if the <itunes:image> parameter is still correct and if it links to the right file. And it does!
So what happened to my podcast? Why does not appear in search? And why there is a broken chain in my podcast page?
Ooops, just forgot. My feed seems to work properly. Episodes can be downloaded in iTunes and in other Podcast services. The image is displayed properly in theese services.

  • IPod Classic no music, freezing iTunes, not showing up, HELP????

I have a used iPod Classic 120GB. I bought it off my friend. I took it home and added my files (about 5,000 songs and 13 videos) to his stuff (about 6,000 songs) and ended up with it being about half full. I let it sync, then ejected and disconnected. But it said there was nothing on it. I went back and reconnected it to my iTunes. The iTunes froze, and I couldnt access the iPod in anyway. I disconnected it, and when I did it unfroze everything, and popped up in iTunes, saying that the iPod was missing.
I checked the iPod's "About" section and it said that it had 56GB of "Other". I took it back to my friend and he said he deleted the folder with everything in it. It is empty now except for 1.2 GB of who knows what, but still freezing my system and not showing up.
I have tried restarting it, and putting it into disk mode. Nothing worked.

HI, i am having the same issue with my ipod. Can you please tell me what you mean by putting on "disk mode" and deleting the files? Thanks
First let's make sure the drive is physically OK...
*Check your iPod with Diagnostics Mode*
It's possible that your iPod's hard drive has started to fail. Take your iPod and place your right thumb on the centre SELECT button and your left on the top MENU button. Press down both thumbs for about 6 seconds until your iPod reboots. Immediately move your left thumb around to the rewind button |<< on the left and hold this down together with SELECT for a further 6 seconds. Your iPod should now switch into Diagnostic Boot mode. Press MENU for *Manual Test*, then select *IO > HardDrive > HDSMARTData* to reveal your stats. For comparison here are mine for my 2 year old 6th Generation Classic:
    Retracts: 889
    Reallocs: 12
    Pending Sectors: 0
    PowerOn Hours: 2202
    Start/Stops: 894
    Temp: Current 24c
    Temp: Min 10c
    Temp: Max 50c
Take a note of your results. When finished press *SELECT & MENU* for 6 seconds to reset the iPod again.
With modern disc drives sectors are no longer marked bad by a disc scan, if the SMART firmware detects a sector it has trouble accessing it will attempt to invisibly reallocate it to a spare area of the disc.
Note that I've only 12 remapped sectors and none pending. To help explain what the numbers mean here is an extract from the Wikipedia S.M.A.R.T. article:
    *Reallocated Sectors Count*
Count of reallocated sectors. When the hard drive finds a read/write/verification error, it marks this sector as "reallocated" and transfers data to a special reserved area (spare area). This process is also known as remapping, and "reallocated" sectors are called remaps. This is why, on modern hard disks, "bad blocks" cannot be found while testing the surface – all bad blocks are hidden in reallocated sectors. However, as the number of reallocated sectors increases, the read/write speed tends to decrease. The raw value normally represents a count of the number of bad sectors that have been found and remapped. Thus, the higher the attribute value, the more sectors the drive has had to reallocate.
    *Pending sector count*
Number of "unstable" sectors (waiting to be remapped, because of read errors). If an unstable sector is subsequently written or read successfully, this value is decreased and the sector is not remapped. Read errors on a sector will not remap the sector (since it might be readable later); instead, the drive firmware remembers that the sector needs to be remapped, and remaps it the next time it's written.
Large numbers of Reallocs or Pending Sectors would suggest your drive is failing and that you may need to repair or replace your iPod. Check your stats after another attempt to update your iPod. If the numbers increase that again points to hard drive failure. While it won't be good news at least you'll know it isn't some random software problem and you can decide what to do next.

Assuming you've ruled out a physical problem with the iPod's drive we can now move on to check for logical problems...
    *Check iPod hard-drive for errors*
Hold Select+Menu on the iPod for about 6 seconds until it resets, then hold Select+Play as soon as the Apple logo appears, again for about 6 seconds to put the machine in disk mode. Open iTunes and in the Sync tab of the preferences menu check *Disable automatic syncing of all iPhones & iPods*. Now connect your iPod to the computer, wait until it connects, then close iTunes. Browse *My Computer* and right-click on the drive for the iPod, click Properties, then click Tools. Under Error-checking, click *Check Now*. Under Check disk options, select *Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors* (Optional - takes ages but a good idea if you've reason to suspect physical damage). Click Start. Mac users should run *Disk Utility / Repair Disk* for the equivalent process. This should find and correct any errors in the logical & physical structures of your iPod's hard drive. Once these have been fixed you can reset the iPod (hold Menu+Select ) and should stand a better chance of a successful restore. It might also pay to check the status of the source drive containing your media, particularly if no errors were found on the iPod.
And if that still doesn't help try Erase your iPod - The Super Fix for most iPod Problems. Basically a low level format of the iPod’s hard drive to get around whatever problems are stopping iTunes from restoring it.
Once you've restored your iPod don't rush to dump all the data back exactly as it was before. I have found that lots of large or complex smart playlists can sometimes trigger constant reboots or dumping of the iPod's library. In addition, larger transfers can fail leaving data in an inconsistent state. Try this technique for populating the iPod in stages.
    *Break up large transfers*
In iTunes select the menu item *File... New Smart Playlist*. Change the first drop-down box to Playlist, the next to is and the next to Music. Tick against *Limit to*, type in say 10, then change the drop-down to GB, and set the last drop-down to artist. When you click OK you can enter a name for the playlist, e.g. Transfer. Now sync this playlist to your iPod rather than your entire library. When the sync is complete modify the rule ( *File... Edit playlist* ) to increase the size by your chosen amount, then sync and repeat. You can experiment with different size increments, if it doesn't work just choose something a bit smaller until it works each time. Before long you should have all your music on your iPod. Once that's done you can move on to other media such as podcasts, videos, photos, playlists etc.

  • Albums not showing up in "Artists" category

I have a second generation iPod, a few moths old. I have been having no trouble synching albums to the iPod, until now.
In iTunes, both albums show up fine in both the "Artists" category, and the "Albums" category. But on my iPod, these two albums only show up in the "Albums" category, not the "Artists" category.
All the relevant information is on the albums (ie; Album Artist, Album Name, etc).
I recently did the update to v 4.2.1, and lost all the music. I thought that when I re-synched, that perhaps these two albums would appear in all the relevant categories on the iPod. But they didn't.
    Advice, Please?

Seems the problem was with how the artist was named; What iTunes and the iPod wanted was for the artist's name to listed in "Properties" as "Contributing Artist". I did this, and re-synched, and now the albums show up in all categories.
    Yay!

  • Albums not showing photos

I am just learning about IPhoto 5. I made albums and all was great for days with slide shows and all. Then I added some new photo's to albums, now my albums will not show photo's. I can only see my photo's in IPhoto folders that are of various numbers, 01, 02, 04, 10 etc... what are these numbers and why did my photos disapear from my albums?

    Hi cazam,
I am not sure if you are talking about seeing the albums within iPhoto or if you are talking about seeing the album folder in the Finder. The album folder in the Finder that was present with iPhoto 4 is no longer used by iPhoto 5. This is why you don't see it in the Finder.
This is a view of how the iPhoto 5 Library looks in the Finder.
It is organized by Year folders. Inside the Year folders are Month folders. Inside the Month folders are the days of the Month. Inside the day folders are the photos you took on that day. If you imported video clips and RAW files on that day they will be in an Originals folder. If you have edited any photo imported on that day, the original will be in that folder also.

  • Albums not showing in library after import

Just install iTunes 10.4.1.10 on Win XP (have same issue on Win 7) it auto added my music folder but its all messed up due to filenames etc so I deleted everything from library with the intention of manually importing everything.  Albums are not showing in library after going File -> Add Folder to Library...
    Any ideas?

Note that Pause and Resume can be found in the right-click context menu of an item (toolbar drop-down list).
Do you have the .part file or only the (final) file with a byte count of 0 bytes?
If the .part file and doesn't have the expected file size (2 GB) is missing then you won't be able to resume this download anyway. You can check the temp folder as well.

  • Albums not showing up on website

I have twelve albums with numerous pictures in each one on my website. for some odd reason when i added three photos a few days ago to just one of the albums 11 of the 12 albums quit showing up on my website (thecolorblindphotographer.net). when i look at iweb all 12 of the albums are there and all pictures in the albums are there as well. nothing i do gets all the albums to publish now. anyone else seen this happen?

I am experiencing the same frustrating issue with the 'my albums' page. I decided to switch from using the iWeb 'photo page' to using the iWeb 'my albums' page for photos of my visits to motorcycle rallies in Arizona. I think it was one of the worst decisions I have made since building my website two years ago with iWeb..that was the first mistake I made.
I transferred all of my photos from my photo pages to albums on a 'my album' page and renamed the 'my album' page 'photos'. I then deleted my main 'photo page' that linked to all of the various motorcycle rally photo pages. It has been a real heartbreaker! The new 'my albums' page doesn't always display all the 5 albums and then some of the links from other pages on my site to the new photo page try to send you to ....photos/photos which doesn't exist....! When I go to one of my pages http://www.centralarizonabikers.com/banner_links and click on the 'photos' image on the menu it gets hung up..searching..until I have to go off line. Then when I try to get to my website again my website won't come up until I try several times.
I have deleted the image link for 'photos' on the banner links page and made a whole new one and linked it to the new 'my albums' photo page but it still doesn't work. The other pages seem to work just fine when I click on the 'photo' image link on the menu on that page.
Maybe I should not have changed the name of the new 'my albums' page to 'photos'?
    My website is http://www.centralarizonabikers.com
The page that cannot seem to find my new 'photo' page is http://www.centralarizonabikers.com/banner_links
The 'my albums' page is http://www.centralarizonabikers.com/photos
Can anyone take a look at the site and give me some direction?

  • Albums not showing up correct on my iPad iOS 5.0

I have an origianl iPad with iOS 5 updated. Some of my music albums are showing up as two albums even though iTunes is showing them as one. How do I correct this. Keep in mind I have already selected all the songs in the albums and did a "Get Info" edit to make sure the album artist and album title were matching. I've even played around with the sorting options but have had no luck. Any help would be great. Running iTunes 10.5 on Windows 7

  • Full Albums not Showing up in Music App

I've been having problems with my album tab in the music app. In some albums not all of the songs appear in the album and say "Show Complete Album" when I tap that the songs that are not on the album appear in the album but have the "download" button on the side, but it's not clickable.
When I go into the songs tab the songs that are missing in the albums tab are there. I'm really not sure how to fix this.
Maybe it's an iTunes problem.I'm not really sure.

This could be related to the tags the album(s) are assocated with. Are they albums you purchased from the Apple Store, transferred from CD, or something else. If it's "something else," it could be that your iTunes library doesn't have the tags needed to manage the sound.
In any case, post with your comments. Interesting problem.
