Albums on i pod
I put 14 albums onto my i pod. On i tunes it shows they are there but when i plug my i pod into my car to play them they dont show up on the i pod. Ive synched them when i put them onto it.
Any ideas please?

You can view the purchase history on your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, on your account's details page there should be a purchase history section with a 'see all' link to its right : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727

Cannot download album to i pod
one of my albums which i previously downloaded on to my i pod is now missing i have added new songs to the library and they all downloaded ok,but one of my original albums wont download any ideas,loads of memory
Because something in the tags differs between the songs.
Compare the tags(right click on song-select get info)-what differs as far as the artist, album artist? -
Where is the 'display album art on my iPod' option?
I only use my iPod in the car, so I don't exactly need album artwork on it. iTunes used to have an option to display (or not display) album art on the iPod. What happened to that option? My iPod is a classic, so it has a hard drive, and I'm getting tired of the constant disk access whenever it wants to display album artwork. I would prefer to get rid of it altogether.
I don't want to delete the artwork itself, because I also listen to music with my AppleTV at home. I just don't need the artwork *on my iPod*. How can I rig it so the iPod won't display the artwork anymore?never mind, I found out that the option no longer exists:

Since the latest update my I-pod is not syncing properly.
Hi Everyone,
My 80GB Classic has not been syncing properly since the latest I-tunes update. I have done the whole '5 R's' thing with no effect, disk mode makes no difference either.
This is what it is doing. I-tunes IS recognising the I-pod however I can only sync manually at the moment. Pretty much 1 album at a time: sync 1 album, eject I-pod, reconnect it, sync another album, eject, reconnect etc.. Because if I try to sync too much at a time everything freezes and I have to reset the I-pod and then I loose everything on it since I last disconnected the I-pod. At this rate it will take me about a month to sync my entire music library!! But now it seems that I can only get about 200 songs on it before it freezes up everytime I try to sync.
Also it no longer works on my home theater dock, bedside radio or car stereo (I-pod direct) it shows as charging but will not play through the stereo/headunit, which has me wondering what the **** was in that last update?. Headphones still work ok though.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.WPR260, I have been having similar problems since the latest SW upgrade! Ity seems to sync for a random time and then iTunes is very slow to respond. When I trying to disconnect, it asks me if I am sure, then stalls some more, I finally have to just pull the docking plug and restart the process but when an audiobook has 200+ tracks it cannot make it through the sync. Very frustrating!
Apprecaite any word you get (if you get any) I will do the same.

I totally screwedup and tried to download an album from another computer. Great, got the album, but erased 1300 songs from i-pod. Got the album onto main computer, erased the album from I-pod. Now, I am trying to reload all of my music onto my i-pod, and I can't get it to do it. So, I have around 5 days worth of music on my computer, but not on my player. All of the songs are still in the Library. What can I do???? HELP!!!!!

Cannot transfer songs to iPod from iTunes.
Please help. I can download songs to my iTunes but the iPod will not update when plugged in. It tells me that it has but when I go to my iPod the songs are not there. I have 3 cds that I have recently downloaded that will not upload to my iPod. Everytime I plug my pod into the computer it tells me that it is updating these 3 albums onto the pod but it doesn't. I tried several times and I got the same thing everytime. Looking at my songs on my iPod from my iTunes it shows these albums are there and play from iTunes but when I try searching from the actual iPod they are not. Oh and everything is updated and I have "Automatically update all songs and playlists" button selected in my ipod options!
I have the SAME problem. "Updates successful" message followed by missing songs on the iPod and next update attempting to transfer these songs all over again. Tried everything, including "strange iPod behavior" suggestions to no avail. This has started since the January installation of the new iPod Updater.

OK ..... just a question to you lot ....Ive got a 3rd gen ,a forth gen, a Nano and a mini ..... All of them of late have had the same problem ,after adding tracks from Itunes,and disconnecting in the usual way .. The libary on the Ipods completly vanishes...If i look at the settings through the pod it says the files are there ,just wont let me play any of them . Then i have to reset and reload each pod ,which is driving me nuts ... ANyone have a similar problem? ...or any ideas how to stop me being a nervious wreck everytime i add an album to a pod???.... Amazon has a downloader, but that doesn't mean that the downloaded songs go into itunes, but rather, directly to your hard drive, usually, into the Music folder.
Then, open iTunes and add the downloaded music to the iTunes library (File > Library > Add files to library.)
Now, if you HAVE trashed Amazon's Mp3's..., you can call Amazon customer service (I had to really DIG to find a number to call, and they will reauthorize the downloads. (By-the-way, for music purchased from iTunes, you can email the iTunes store and request a re-grant to download all your music purchases, BUT, you can only do this ONCE!)
If you either find all your music, or, have been able to restore your purchases (described above), make sure you backup your library! (iTunes has a method of making a backup to CD/DVD, or, use a different backup process, like TimeMachine, to back up to an external hard drive.) -
When playing my i-tunes library through my hi-fi via Airport Express, how can I get i-Tunes to play a single album and then stop, without continuing on through my entire library? It's a problem that doesn't occur when listening on my i-pod.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

Album song order changes when synced to i-pod
On I-tunes the songs in the albums are in the correct playback order but when I sync it to my i-pod the some of the songs are in the wrong order. Everything looks ok when I look at the "get info" section. Any ideas?
looks like I figured out something that worked for me. In itunes I selected a playlist on my ipod, inside that playlist I selected an entire album by shift clicking the first and last song. In this example I'll use "album x" which has always been out of order on my ipod...after I selected the entire album I chose "get info" when the window pops up I saw that the "album artist" box was empty but the "artist" box wasn't. I just typed the same thing that was in the "artist" box into the "album artist" box and hit ok...after a quick resync "album x" which has always been out of order is now all of a sudden in order...and it has worked for multiple albums on my ipod, especially the sound tracks, give it a shot and let me know if it works for you.

Can't Display My Album Covers on My New I Pod Photo?
I just got my I Pod photo and downloaded about 6 albums from cd's. I can't get it to show the album covers.
You need to add the album art.

How do I get my I pod 7 to play the songs from my albums in the correct order? Every time I play an album, the songs are scrambled. This is very annoying, and I can't figure out how to fix it. Thanks for your help.

Are you setting the Shuffle Albums setting here:
Settings>Shuffle>Albums
If you have that last setting = Songs, then it is going to shuffle your songs. If you have it set to Albums, then it should shuffle the Albums but play the songs within the albums in order.

How come my i pod skips songs when played...album art problems...

If that doesn't work, make sure your iPod's software is up to date...

If you updated and the problem persists, try a restore...

Multiple albums' the same' on i-pod but only one in the library.
after i add some albums into my library they appear numerous times on my i-pod.some albums, when opened on i-pod contain the contents of other albums long with the correct tracks.
Everything in the library is normal its just on the i-pod it happens.I've tried deleting and reinstalling but it happens everytime.

I-pod shuts down when browsing album covers
After updating the i-pod touch to the new Op System 5 the player will shut down when I browse the album covers (holding the i-pod horizontal). It will work for about 5 covers but then shuts down. I did a reset but did not help

are you getting any sort of blue screen? if so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)

1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.
