Aldiko Adobe DRM sign-in difficulties

When I try to sign in with my Adobe ID in Aldiko, it says, "Connecting to server". Then the sign-in screen dissappears without giving an error message! When I try to read a book, it prompts me to sign in again! What's going on? This worked before my device forgot all of my saved password data!

It was working great for the first week that I used it, but now it doesn't give me the converting option. I am very frustrated as I have done nothing to change anything, and I was thinking this was so great...now I am just pulling out my hair and do not have the option of calling anyone since no phone numbers are listed. I am VERY busy and do not have time to sit and wait over a half an hour to "chat", which I tried to do yesterday. All I want to do is very simply, convert pdfs to Word. I have paid for this and am not getting any help. I am not very savvy when it comes to Adobe this program and Adobe that program...I feel I am being scammed as I do not get simple answers for something that appeared was going to be simple. You can't even call customer service to talk to someone live to help walk you through.

Please let me know if you have tried converting any other PDF to word with Reader.
Alos, please sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials. Click on 'ExportPDF' tab and upload the PDF that you want to convert to Word.
Let me know if this converts fine.

My Adobe DRM user is active since 2006. But I can't open and read my books, that I have bought with it. Now I have created a new user, but this is not registered for the old ebooks. How can I activate my old user and connect it with the new one?

Is it just too much to ask to read an Adobe DRM protected epub document in a nice metro-friendly Windows 8 interface (which Adobe Digital Editions most certainly is not)?
I have spent hours today looking for that little Holy Grail The only Windows applications I could find that would open Adobe DRM epubs (in addition to Adobe Digital Editions, of course) was Neosoar and Copia, neither of which qualify as a nice metro-friendly interface. Don't get me wrong, lots of nice Windows epub readers out there e.g. Freda, Kobo, Calibre but they'll be damned if they're going to interface with Adobe DRM!
I've bought the book; I just want to read it without fighting Adobe DRM at every turn. Any light on the horizon?

Unable to open eccouncil Adobe DRM

Hi,
ADE used to add eccouncil DRM protected pdfs to the library OK.
However with CEH v 8 pdfs, ADE v 2 reports this error:
"Unable to add document
Errors were encountered in this item"
Any help?

Real answer is I don't know; but a few random thoughts that may help.
Are they Adobe DRM documents?
If they are not DRM open them using a normal PDF reader such as Adobe Reader.
ADE should be able to open non-DRM PDF, but maybe they use a later PDF version than ADE supports?
Or maybe they use some special CEH v 8 encryption rather than standard Adobe DRM?

Adobe Fill & Sign for iPhone

I just back from the official product launch of Adobe Acrobat DC in Hong Kong.
During the launch, one speaker said that he got the job from Adobe in eight months ago and the witness of his employment contract is signed by his wife during office hour and is signed through her mobile phone. I found that the app is quite convenient and so, I try to download the app to see the real power. However, I just found an app called "Adobe Fill & Sign" for iPad.
After that, I search here and check what is going wrong. I found a user that facing same problem with me. One of Adobe staff replied the app "Adobe Fill & Sign" can use in iPhone & place a link of that app Q & A sheet to that user. I also checked but no any solution on the page. After a while, there have another staff from Adobe and told the app is just for iPad with no any reason for explain on the issue.
It totally mess. Can anybody clarify the issue? If there have an app for iPhone, why we can't found on iTunes? If the app just serve iPad, why the guy made a fake story to promote your brand new Adobe Acrobat DC product in an official product launch?
Please clarify.

I do apologize if there was marketing that showed or stated that it supported iPhone but Adobe Fill & Sign is currently iPad only, there is also an Android version that does support Android phones (Lollipop). The team that works on the app is definitely aware of the requests for iPhone support, maybe that will come soon but I can't say either way.

Hi - have you made any progress? I have a very similar problem. When I uninstall Reader 9.3 I do not get the error and when I reinstall the error returns. My log is below. I'm running on xp and my problem occurs each time I restart the computer. I thought UAC (user account control) was a Vista function? So, I'm puzzled to see it in an xp log...

I've deleted all the CC apps from my computer and re-istalled CS6 but can't get rid of the Adobe CC sign-in. It appears every time I launch a CS6 app.

YOu did not properly deactivate your CC. Delete the SLstore and PCD folder stuff.

I am new to this whole world of on-line books and am trying to download a PDF file for one of my textbooks at my on-line college. I have Adobe 7.0.9 (they told us not to use 8.0) and have attempted to "authorize" my computer for two days now. Everytime I try it, I get the same error message "the adobe DRM activator is not responding". I have turned off my pop-up blocker and disabled the firewall. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I was told that I needed to load Adobe DRM which I did. When I contacted Booktopia they told me that when I authorised my Adobe DRM I should have "select 'Booktopia' next to Vendor ID, and then log in using your Booktopia account details ie email address [email protected] and your Booktopia password as the password."
I erased my Adobe DRM software from my computer and reloaded it but I seem to be unable to convince your software that I want to start over... it keeps telling me that I am using an ID and password that was used to authorise another computer!
What do I do?

In order to make your posts easier to read I suggest that you not type in all caps.
The operating system on your Gateway system is Windows based, as are all of the applications that you had installed. Your iMac uses the Mac OS X operating system. The applications on your external hard drive that you pulled from the Gateway system will not directly run on your iMac. One option is to purchase Mac OS X versions of the software where possible, or your can install Window's on your iMac and have the capability to use both Mac OS X and Windows.
Since you are a new Mac user it may be best to go back to your place of purchase and spend some time learning about your options for transferring your data and options. According to the Stamps.Com website, they apparently don't make a Mac OS X version of the software, but they supposedly allow you to print directly using the Mac's web browser. Microsoft sells a Mac OS X version of their Office suite which you can view at http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products.
Here's some more information that helps people like you who are converting from Window's to the the Mac OS X environment. There is some learning to do, but like me, I think you'll like it once you have everything configured correctly.

Adobe DRM Activator error (server code 24)

I updated to the most recent version of digital editions, but uninstalled it due to the fact that it does not support Palm.
I reinstalled the old version of Adobe Reader 7.0. All of my ebooks show up, but when I try to transfer my ebooks to my Palm I receive an error message stating:
Your Adobe software cannot be activated.
A bad session ID was used in the header.

Soap Info: Client: A A bad session ID was used in the header.
Adobe DRM Activator error (server code 24).
Fault location: 12
Contact customer support.
The knowledge base states that Adobe is aware of this issue and I have to contact support.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program a couple of times but I had the same error message.
I have open two open web cases (#0180655783 on 1/8/09 and #0201592044 on 12/22/09). They both state: "open pending response from Adobe", but I can't get a response (although my case do note that they have been updated???).
When I contacted Adobe via phone they informed me that I could only get assistance by opening a web case. I was assured that I would get a response within 24 Hours! What a bunch of crap!
I really have to have access to my ebooks. I have quite a lot of money invested in books that I cannot access. Some of them I need
for school.

Adobe ID Sign In Required

Hello,
We are in the process of packaging and deploying Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 via SCCM to our (education) organization. Both products install from SCCM fine, however we are unable to launch either without provided the Adobe ID our organization uses and unfortunately it has to be done on every machine it would install on. The serial numbers we were provided with from the overarching group of school boards that signed the agreement all work fine.
Using AAMEE to build CS6 we were able to get around the Adobe ID sign in on every computer, but there is no packager for the Elements products that we can find.
Is there a tool like AAMEE that can package Elements 12 such that the required sign in is removed, or can anything be done as part of the install or afterwards? If we can't this will be a no-go for us on over 6000 computers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had to reinstall Adobe Digital Editions after a hardware failure. Now I get this message. I can't read any of my purchased PDF books. I hate Digital Editions. Hateithateithateit. Can't escape it however. Too bad there isn't a better alternative product out there.
Does anybody know what in the world this error message means and how it can be fixed?

Also it's worth checking your firewall isn't blocking visits to the activation server at http://adeactivate.adobe.com. If you can see a 'Welcome to Digital Editions' message then your firewall allows access.
There may also be more information in your firewall logs.

What a truly awful policy.
So, here I am coming back to an ebook I purchased three years ago, only to find that it's *my* fault I cannot access the book I paid for, because I should have been studiously following the intricacies of your petty updates and server migrations, or else I simply lose my rights to access the book (access rights, by the way, that are apparently now controlled not by the author -- whom I know personally -- or the publisher, but by you clowns at Adobe!?!).
Really lame, adobe. Really lame.
I should have bought the hard copy, which I could have taken off the shelf whenever I wanted, years after purchase, without having to worry about whether or not I migrated my license to whatever server, etc etc.
Really appalled by this.
