ALE Capability for License Data (VX01N)

Dear All,
Would you know if there is any possibility to send the License Data maintained under VX01N via a regular ALE interface?
Is there a message type to hold this information?
We have made some researches on our SAP Enterprise platform but we do not find any evidence of an existing ALE layer.
Are we overlooking something?
Is there maybe a new module or OSS or something to install to be able to interface this information through ALE?

Hi there,
1Password cannot 'read' licences automagically from installed software. I suspect because each developer stores this in a different manner (some may not store it all). However, if you have your software licenses in email, then you can re-enter them into 1Password

ALE Configuration for Transactional Data (Purchase Order)

Dear Experts,
I want to configure ALE for Purchase Orders(Transactional Data).
For that:
I have done neccessary Condition Records at NACE with necessary Output Type Configuration. Configured Port and Partner Profile with Message Types: ORDERS and ORDECHG (as Outbound Parametrs) .Assigned those Message Types against defined Sender and the Receiver at Customer Distribution Model . Configured Port and Partner Profile at the Receiver System also.
Now I have 2 queries.
i) Is this much of ALE configuration is enough for Transactional Data for communication between 2 systems or I have to do something more?
ii) For Master Data we configure Change Pointer(we can see field assignments against Change Document Object at BD52 for Master Data Messaage Types) . Is it necessary to configure Change Pointer for Transactional Data or it will autometically handled by the system(field assignments cannot be seen against Change Document Objects at BD52 for Transactional Data Messaage Types)?

I need ALE Configuration for PEXR2002(Basic Type) IDoc , it's message type PAYEXT.
I don't know ALE Configuration for sending data from SAP IDS to SAP XI.????
I need ALE Configuration doc/pdf??
Please give me some guidline for this..

I was wondering if you have had any luck creating the configuration for PEXR2002 Idoc, PAYEXT message types, and sending the result set to XI.
I need to perform the same task within our R3 environment using the FTP protocol in XI to send the file to the Bank to be processed.
Any help or direction would be great.

Hi All,
I have to make a report. I have to find users which are using only EP. I think i have to search them through license data. Can you please tell me how to search users with license data.
I have tried SUIM. There is no field for license data. There is a report RSUSR080. But its kind of empty. it is not executed

Hi,
Actually the licencing thing you have to maintain while vraeting the user in the Licence Data tab . You can do this in su10 or su01.If this data is entered during user creation, the table usr06 will display the same in the LIC_TYPE field.
Pl refer Tcodes license_admin, USMM etc for measuring users licence data. For details on licence pl refer the documents at https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/licenseauditing.

If you do get 3G, you only use cellular when wifi is not available. You pay by the month for a 3/4G plan.

License for Oracle Data Guard

But i just wanted to know if a standby database means new license.
I mean, when the primary database works, the standby database do nothing except get the archive redologs.
And when the standby database is on, then the primary is down.
So i didn't see why we'll need futher licences.

Need to rebuild Outlook 2011 for mac identity for exporting data file.

I was exporting outlook for mac data file (to import it into apple mail), and suddenly Outlook email client crashed and when I tried again it said that I need to rebuild the Outlook for mac database using rebuild utility. I took help from some professional technicians but it was a dead end. They said that my outlook for mac database was corrupt and they could not help me any further. I had years of emails in outlook for mac that I needed to move to apple mail as I was fed up of these frequently occuring outlook 2011 errors. Please if anyone could help me in this case then it will be very helpful.

Outlook for mac stores archives its data in .olm format and it originally stores its mails in .OLK format. If everything has failed then you can seek help of a tool that can recover these .olk14 messages. One tool I know that is capable of doing so is http://www.outlookmacdatabaserecovery.com/.
Look for the trial version first and see of it works and recovers you emails.

Why we are not using "Message Control" for Master data ?

We are using Message control as output determination for Transactional data, what is the main reason for not using the msg control for Master data.Please explain with details...

 Listing down those I know -
 1. Master data is expected to be changed/created less frequestly.
 2. Transactional data is expected to be chnaged/created more frequestly.
 3. Transactions to create/change/display master data do no have message control integration, since you are not supposed to print/fax/mail master data to your partners.
 4. Distribution of master data in generally supposed to happen within Enterprise boundry and typically you will have one central server maintaining master data which will be distributed to multiple downstream operation system (Some thing where MDM fits). So ideally when distributing master data using ALE you will be sending it to multiple systems.
 5. Distributing transactional data PO/SO etc is same as sending fax/print which fits with the requirement of message control.

Taking much time for loading data

Dear All
While loading data in PRD system (for master data and transaction data), it's taking much time. For ex., 2LIS_05_QOITM, I am loading delta data only in PSA from R/3. Some times (yesterday) it's taking 2 mins and some times (today) it's taking 5 hrs not yet completed (it's yellow). Actually yesterday, we went to SM58 in R/3 side and executed that LUW for some other data sources. Now also we can do but we don't want to like that. Because we are expecting permanent soulution. Could u please advice me. I am getting below message in status tab

Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can access this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Error handling:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI
Diagnosis

Data packets are missing from PSA Table . BI processing does not return any errors. The data transport from the source system to BI was probably incorrect.
Procedure
Check the tRFC overview in the source system.
You access this log using the wizard or following the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> Source System".
Error handling:
If the tRFC is incorrect, resolve the errors listed there.
Check that the source system is connected properly to BI. In particular, check the remote user authorizations in BI.
In detail tab, I am getting below message
Info IDoc 2 : sent, not arrived ; IDoc ready for dispatch (ALE service)

I actually have to perform a BDC for change license data some times for Multiple items for single Sales Document number at a time.

ALE Settings For File-IDOC Scenario

Hi All,
While Doing IDOC-File Scenario we have to do the Following Settings
In XI
1) Create RFC Destination towards R/3
2) Create Port
3) Load Meta data
In R/3
1) Create RFC Destination towards XI
2) Create Port
3) Create PF
Q1) Coming to File-IDOC Scenario do we need to do the Same Settings ????
Q2) In this File-IDCO Scenario do we need to create RFC Destination in R/3 towards XI ????

for IDOC TO FILE
We need to create the rfc destination at XI side so as to send the acknowledgement to sap r/3 as soon as idoc has been received.This is the reason WHY WE NEED RFC DESTINATION AT XI SIDE
There are are only 2 major difference in Ale settings for FILE TO IDOC AND IDOC-FILE
i.e for FILE-IDOC
1) No need to Distribute the modal view
2) For partner profile Specify the INBOUND PARAMETERS
FOR STEP BY STEP U CAN SEE THE SETTINGS GIVEN BELOW
We need to do the following settings in XI
1)   Create an RFC Destination to the Receiving System in transaction code (SM59)
a)   Choose create
b)   Specify the name of the RFC destination
c)   Select connection type as 3 and save
d)   In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#
e)   Enter the Gateway host as same details above SID/URL
f)   Gateway service is 3300+system number#
g)   In the Logon /Security tab, enter the client, user & Password details of Destination system
h) Test the connection and remote logon.Both should be succesful
2) Create Port Using Transaction Code IDX1
a)   Select Create New button
b)   Enter the port name as SAP+SID (The starting char should be SAP)
c)   Enter the destination client
d)   Enter the RFC Destination created in XI towards R/3
e)   Save
3) Load Meta Data for IDOC Using transaction Using Transaction (IDX2)
a) Create new
b) IDOC Message Type
c) Enter port created in IDX1
                    SETTINGS IN SAP R/3
     We need to do the following settings in R/3
     Logon to Sap R/3 System
1)   Create an RFC Destination to XI in transaction code (SM59)
a)   Choose create

a)   First Select Transactional RFC and then click create button

3)   Create Partner Profile with Inbound Parameters (WE20)
a)   Create New
b)   Create the Partner no. name as same the logical system name of the destination system
c)   Select Partner type LS
d)   Enter details for Type: US/USER, Agent, and Lang
     Then Save
e)   Select Partner no. and LS which were create above
f)   Now we have to give some Inbound Parameters.So click on ADD TO Create Inbound Parameter
g)   Select Message type
h)   Double click on Message Type and Then Enter the details for Message Type and Process Code.
I)   save
4)   In Transaction SALE, Create Logical System
a). Go to Basic Settings-> First Define logical systems
     and then assign logical systems
b)   Double click on Define the logical systems
c)   Give data for your Logicaal System and Name
d)   Now click on Save.Here one window may appear just click on Continue.Now the Logical System name is ready
e)   Assign the logical system name to the client
ALSO WE NEED TO CONFIGURE THE IDOC ADAPTER AS RECEIVER TO CONVERT THE IDOC-XML TO IDOC
