ALE Fileter setup

Hi Gurus,
I am configuring ALE for material master distribution for a custom message type.
I need to filter Material type(MARA-MTART = YV etc).
I created Filter object type(tcode= BD95) and assigned this object to Z message type using Tcode = BD59.
My issue: How will I actually assign the material type values eg: MTART="YV" etc.
Please reply ASAP.
Thanks in advance.
Rgs,
Ananth

Hi,
You can set the filter on field level using transaction code BD64.
Select the corresponding model view/message type and click on NO FILTER SET option. You will get one modal screen ... click on create button, select the field then set the filter value(s).

  • ALE - WF Setup for Inbound IDoc

    Hi All,
I did ALE - WF setup for IDoc error notifications. If sender port is SAP then it works fine. But if I take port as tRFC then I am unable to receive any Inbound application errors.
Any suggestion for tRFC port? Do I need to do configuration differently?

  • ALE / IDOC setup

I did ALE setup to Send Idoc from R/3 to XI. I generated Idoc and sent to XI. Idoc status on R/3 is 03 - Idoc sent to R/3 System or external program ).
In XI I did setup Port for R/3 system using IDX1.
However the Idoc sent from R/3 to XI did not reached XI. What could be a problem ?. Would someone guide me please.
I did everything one possibly do using step by step guide.

    Hi Ram,
As Bhavesh told, check in transaction sm58 if u can see any errors.
Did u create port SAP<SID> in “idx1” in the XI box and relevant RFC destination for the same from XI Box to sending system?

  • ALE Workflow setup

    Hello Gurus,
I want to setup workflow for ALE/Idoc error handling. Sap version 4.6B.
Can anyone please tell me in detail the steps need to be configured/setup for
the workflow. This is for customer master distribution.
    Urgent please.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rgs,
    Anant

    Hi Ananth,
If you want to know how to activate the workflow for handling the idoc errors then here is the explabatio.
    Go to tcode : WE42.
Choose any inbound processcode: ex : INVC and click on details.
Here usually the events are defined(Start and END event) for IDOC Error handling through workflow.
    For process code : INVC
    Object Type                         IDOCINVCON
    Start Event                         INPUTERROROCCURRED
    End event                           INPUTFINISHED
If any error is occured when IDOC for message type INVCON  is created then IDOCINVCON.INPUTERROROCCURRED event will be triggered. You need to use this event in the start condition of workflow "which in turn will send the workitem to user who is responsible for correcting the errors".
    Reward if it helps.
    Thanks

've also heard that tr is some setting in the ID; in the Bus. Serv i've to Edit the Adapter Specific props...
can some1 ellaborate on that too (If that is the soln in the case) i did c some parameeters here like client, LS name, what shd b given here? the details pertaining to the SAP system??
    hope i made sense.....
i knw ths is a simple config issue but ve been beating everywhr around the bush but not @ the rite spot...
Any Help is very much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Hank

    Hi Hank,
I think the way IDXNOALE works isn't really user friendly at all. You have to play around with it for a while before getting it to work the way you want it to.
    I would proceed as follows...
    1) First check if there aren't any ale acks setup in IDXNOALE that are in fact valid. There might be some there that were setup by someone else that worked on it before you.
    2) If there are valid one's, make a note of them.
    3) If there aren't any valid ale acks or you want to turn them all off then in IDXNOALE enter the sender port & client & click 'Do not request acknowledgement'. That should turn off all acks for that port & client.
    4) Then click execute (or F8) to see the result.
    5) It should say 'No acknowledgments requested for all message types for this system
Except for the following message types' and nothing else.
    6) Then check if you still get the annoying warnings. You shouldn't get them. If you're still getting them then you need to verify that your Sender Port & Client are correct.
    7) Lastly, if there were valid acks (steps 1 & 2), add them as exceptions to this. See 'Exception list' (Add Message Type) bottom half of IDXNOALE screen. You add the valid message types one by one & execute (F8) after each one you add. You should then see something like the example below. Then Idocs that are sent with the message types in the list below will show annoying warnings and any other message types won't show annoying warnings.
    Example:
No acknowledgments requested for all message types for this system
Except for the following message types
    ALEAUD
    FIDCC2
    ORDCHG
    ORDERS
    REMADV

  • IDocs for Invioce and Delivery

    Hi all,
I have to send the customer the Invoice and Delivery confirmation for that order placed by him through an IDoc in background job.
We are going for a standard IDoc for invoice and Delivery also but how to fill the data into that standard IDoc.
1.Do we have standard report like (BD12, BD14, BD10 etc.)
2.Should we develop a report to fill the data into that Idoc.
Please help me to find standard report or please help me to write code for that standard IDoc.
    Thank you all in advance,
    Regards,
    Shalem.

    Hi Shalem,
You need to do the following activities.
    - Setup condition record (t/code <b>NACE</b>) for shipping (V2) and billing (V3).
    - Setup output type (t/code <b>NACT</b>) for shipping (V2) and billing (V3) with transmission medium <b>A</b> (ALE).
    - Setup procedures (t/code <b>NACZ</b>) for shipping (V2) and billing (V3) if required.
    - Once the above setup are done, for any creation of billing and shipping will create entries into table <b>NAST</b> (Message Status).
    - Then you can create IDoc using this standard program <b>RSNAST00</b>. Please ensure your ALE and IDoc configuration have been done such as BD64, WE20, WE21 and etc.
    Hope this will help.

  • Creation of Vendor Master Data

    Hi,
In my company they are currently using this process to create Vendor Master Data: The Vendor Master Data is created in the Production Server and refreshed to Development Server and to Quality Server, using ALE.
Is this the right process? If not can you let me know the steps to create Vendor Master Data.
    regards,
    raj

    Hi Raj,
ALE and IDoc is the best way to transfer master data between SAP system. They have excellent error handling and reprocessing capabilities (Recommended by SAP).
In order to automate the vendor master data transfer, you need to do the following steps.
    1. Create Logical System (if not available) for PROD, QA and DEV system.
    2. Create RFC Destination (SM59) from PROD to QA and DEV system.
    3. Create Distribution Model from PROD to QA/DEV (BD64) for message type CREMAS (Vendor Master).
    4. Create Partner Profile (WE20) for message type CREMAS in PROD, QA and DEV system.
    5. Execute transaction code BD14 (Send Vendor) from PROD to QA and DEV system.
    6. To monitor the IDoc, you can use transaction code WE02.
If you are not familiar with ALE/IDoc setup, please work with technical folk.
Hope this will help and give an idea.

  • Generate DELVRY  Idoc when Post goods issue is done in SAP

I need to generate an Idoc when post goods issue is done in SAP (outbound to SAP) .I understood that I can do this using the message control .The message type DESADV with the process code DELV will support this.
But I didn’t understand how to trigger the Idoc.In the current scenario our Company is doing the post goods issue in SAP for the in three different ways.
1.Manually doing the post goods issue through the transaction VL02N
    2. an Inbound Interface (using Idoc)  which will do Post goods Issue in SAP
3.Another Interface using BAPI, which will, do post goods issue in SAP
I have to run my outbound interface when the post goods issue is done by all the above three ways.  Can any one help me out in this?

You have to configure the output first .
You can use output type LAVA ( avaialble in Std SAP ) .
    ( Tcode is NACE , Select Application V2 -> Outputtypes ).
( Create condition records suitable to generate an output)
    Next is ALE.
Setup a distribution Model ( for DESADV ) and all other setup for ALE i.e. Distribute Dist. Model / Generate Partner Profile .
In the Partner profile in WE20 select your partner system. Double CLick on Outbound Message DESADV ( this wd be there after you generate partner profile , if not add it here in outbound ) . On this screen goto tab MESSAGE CONTROL .
    Application - V2
    Message Type - LAVA
    Process Code - DELV.
Now you are ready to go. The moment a PGI is done in any form an output LAVA would be proposed and processed using process code DELV.
    Cheers.

  • IDoc number generation is random

We are trying to have a ALE-IDoc setup such that IDoc gets written as a text file to a application server directory.
When we defined the port, we defined it as a file port. In the file port, we specified a folder on the SAP application server, where the file has to be created. Now when we generate the IDoc, this set up should automatically create a Idoc file in the specified folder.
The Idoc itself is getting generated with valid data each time but the file isn't getting created always, even when the IDoc generation program is run with same data selection criteria. Interestingly, the Idocs which get written to files succesfully have a number range of 1000 and above, whereas the Idocs which couldn't get downloaded to files have a number range of 2000 and above.
So my question is why are the numbers not serial, for both the successful and failed Idocs? Is there some setting which is forcing the system to pick the 2000 range for unsuccessful Idocs and 1000 range for successful ones? If yes, where is that setting?
I read the following posted at another website "SAP assigns a range of Idoc numbers to each app server, so depending on which app server you hit your message will be assigned a number in that range".Can somebody validate that?
The failed Idocs have the following status message:
Status 02: Error passing data to port
    and the description is
An error occurred when an outbound file was opened with 'OPEN DATASET'. The name of the outbound file is:
/usr/sap/EQ0/put/HCM/ADP/outbound/HROT_UM_00002003 with operating system error msg.:No such file or directory

    We have resolved the problem.
The Basis team had created the folder used for downloading the files only on one of the application servers (where the Idoc number range is 1000 and plus) but not on the other (where the Idoc number range is 2000 and plus). So when the process was hitting the application server, it couldn't locate the directory path and hence the OPEN DATASET statement was failing.
So as soon as we created the directory, the problem got resolved.

  • Base unit of measure is different from Idoc to purchase order toSAP System.

    Hi Gurs,
vendor send a purchase order for confirmation through EDI, the base unit of measure in the Idoc is PA( Parcel). For this same material the unit of measure in R/3 system is PC.( Piece). I got a error on this.I checked in CUNI, In Unit of measurement ST (PC) is already assigned to  unit PCE in EDI. But i dont want to change the  Conversion.I need this also and I want to create a new conversion ST(PC) is assign to PA( Parcel).
    Please help in this.
Is it possible to maitainthe ISO-code PA into table Units of Measurement of Dimension?
Edited by: Vadivel Karalam on Nov 1, 2010 1:13 PM

    Hi,
You are getting the error because as part of the std ( For ALE/EDI) the unit of measurement that is maintained is PC whereas if you look at another unit of measure that you have mentioned, the std doesn't define anything under the ALE/EDI setup.
Because of that all the conversions are coming with PC. So pls goto general settings and check unit of measure menu. There for each of your units, there is a section for ALE/EDI, set up the relevant UoM and the issue should get resolved.
    Hope it helps.

  • E-Rec: PA40 to hire

    Hello Experts,
I am on implementation project of SAP E-Rec, with Ehp5 where E-Rec is on different box. As its the new system which we are trying to setup. I just want to know till we create ALE and setup ECC box, can I use E-Rec box to hire employees (P object)? As currently it just returns error.
I have already referred basic note: 997181, still have concerns. I just want to use the portal to see how Recruiter, Recruiting Administrator tabs can work. However, I get errors. Can anyone guide a wayout?
    Thanks,
    Beginner

    Hi,
in advance I am not fully sure if I understand your question correctly.
If you want to work with eRecruiting in any functional role (apply as candidate, recruiter, manager, ...) you must have a candidate. These candidates are in a production scenario created via registration for externals and via HR Core -> eRec integration for internals.
As this integration for internal is usually not available on project start there is report RCF_CREATE_USER to create a candidate for the implementation team. No PA* transaction here.
In the usual installation scenario for a standalone eRec landscape you use the I2A variant (also mentioned in note 997181). In this variant the eRec system is a WebAS ABAP with only the eRecruiting component installed. So there would be no PA40 at all.
    Kind Regards
    Roman

  • E-Recruiting : How to setup ALE for standalone setup

    Dear experts,
We are implementing eRecruiting with the following setup:
ECC 603 on a separate server from eRecruiting 603.
I know that in such a scenario we have to transfer the data to & from ECC using ALE and IDOCs.
We have setup RFC connections between both the systems & defined the same in the table T77S0 (both ECC & eRec using HRRCF & DTCBA)
After this can anyone please specify what needs to be done?
I am looking for some kind of detailed information or a reference to any documentation will also do.What are the activities that BASIS needs to take care. Some of the things i am looking for answers are :
What are the BADIs that i need to activate both at ECC & eRec level?
How do i set up or build an ALE model?
How do i decide on the meesage type?
When should i use transactions PFAL & SALE & how do i use it?
How do i check that the data is transferred successfully?
Your inputs on these topics will be appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

actiivate following badis and enhancespot implementations on e rec server
    HRRCF00_SEARCH_RANKING
    HRRCF00_DELETE_SPREL
    HR_INB_PROCESS_IDOC
these are important for ALE point of view.
    Steps for ALE
Go to the Sender HCM system Transaction SALE
Define logical system under basic settings
assign logical system to the client
Create an RFC connection to Erec server with the same name as the logical system name
add the user id and password (use system user with SAP_ALL)
Go to Communication under sale tcode
Determine RFC connection for method calls
Create Standard BAPI and DIALOG destination for the Logical destination
In SALE under modelling and implementing business processes
    Maintain distribution models and views
    Create Model View
Add a message type HRMD_A for the model view and add the sender and receiver system
    Then go back to sale
and in partner profiles generate partner profiles put the model view sender system and user(system user)
    go back to sale
goto Maintain distribution models and views
there select your modelview (just hightlight) go to edit->modelview->distribute
in your sender system in T77s0 table for RECFA DTCBA maintain the RFC name of the E-rec system.
    Now login to Erec system
There maintain the RFC connection to E-rec system with system user
Goto T77s0 for RECFA HRRFC maintain the RFC name to HCM system.
Go to PFAL transaction in HCM sender system and for the model view/message type you have created send the data to e-rec
