ALE: FM 'MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE' without receiver

Hi all,
I am trying to use the FM 'MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE' without passing the receiver in the comm control structure. I've read somwhere that it's possible but I have no idea how to do this. I read that the ALE layer determines the receipient.
Any help on this would be great.

Match a po to an invoice without receiving

Hello,
Please read the following issue and advise on a solution.
PO 381: column "segment1" in table "po_headers_all" is an approved purchase order of 9 lines,with po header id 797,
in a foreign currency of the reporting set of books of the company.It has a record with revision 1 in our first implemented organization X1 which it's primary set of book was in currency1.
In organization X1 the po order date was on 2007 and it had two receipts 359 which has transactions of the first 6 lines and 450 has the last the receiving transactions of the last 3 lines in 2007.
The 9 lines represent 5 items; same items lines might be different in prices.There are no matched invoices to the po in x1.
A new organization X2 was created because we changed the primary set of books currency.
The inventory items balances were moved at the begining of 2008 as open inventory balances to organization X2,
and the po 381 was moved with po header id 1577 with revision 0 to the new organization still with foreign currency s its currency.
In the new organization the PO was moved in 5 lines each one of them represents the total quantity of one of the items in the original PO.
One of the items was moved to organization X2 with total quantity less by 10000, and the price doesnot reflect the original lines in organization X1.
A receipt was made by mistake in the X2 organization and the items were returned to vendor so it will not affect the inventory balance .
Now we have the following issues:
1. How can I compare the ending balance of the item in organization X1 to the opening balance of organization X2;
with a query from the database or a standard report, to ensure that the balance was copied correctly?
2. How can we pay the supplier in the new organization X2 and match an invoice to the PO without receiving all the items again?

Setup of ALE Audit in SAP Receiver System

for a scenario JDBC -> XI -> IDoc, I have to setup ALE Audit in the receiver SAP sytem.
I have followed the steps in the How-To-Guide (Handle acknowledgements for IDocs):

However I just want to have acknowledgements sent back to SAP XI for a specific type of IDoc (source coming from the database) and not all received IDocs as there are different sender systems sending IDocs (some of them via XI some of them directly).
Is there a way to configure ALE Audit in a way ALEAUDITs are sent just for specific sender systems / IDoc types. I want to avoid that the SAP XI system receives ALEAUDIT for all inbound IDocs.

Yes this is fairly normal. When you have wifi on the phone, it drains the battery life of the device.
Here is an article that has some tips that you can follow so you can modify the settings on your device to extend it's battery life to the fullest.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

BPM Fork Processing without receiving all required messages

Hi
I am developing a BPM which receives 5 different messages.
I am putting a block with Local Correlation with Block Start = New Transaction and Block End = New Transaction.
Inside this block, I am using Fork with Necessary Branches = 5 , using local correlation for each receive step with Use Correlation and Activate Correlation.
When I am adding Receive Steps to Fork, there is an extra branch getting added to the Fork. So now I have 5 Receive steps with Abstract Interfaces and one extra step without having anything. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of this extra step. I know there is way to get rid of this extra step in Fork...but not sure how
Now, when I am testing, after receiving any 4 messages process is coming out of the Fork block and going to the next block.
As in the next block I use all the 5 messages, I am getting error there.
Can you please give your inputs what could cause this problem?
How do we get rid of extra branch in Fork which we do not use..

Hello Ramesh,
When you Drag-Drop any process step in the Fork, it will create a new branch and will sit inside that branch. If you want to put the step on some specific branch then Drag the process step and take it to the desired branch and only drop when [ ] appears on that branch. To insert new branch in fork you can use Right click on Fork->Insert->New Branch.
Now for ur problem, you have set the necessary branches as 5, when u receive the 4 message(4 branches executed) and fifth branch(empty branch) will make total count to 5. Therefore, ur fork step will be executed and will not wait for the fifth msg.

Could you please provide me some idea when why don't we go with ALE configuration to exchange IDOC from PI to Target system instead of configuring receiver IDOC adapter at target side.

Point 1:
When we send IDoc from SAP system to PI ,it used ALE connections nothing but using RFC destination and Port it establishes the connection IDoc will reach PI ABAP Stack.
Point 2:
When we send IDoc to ECC using PI IDoc adapter it uses the same mechanism(RFC destination/Port),but the only purpose of IDoc comm8unication channel is to call RFCDEstination and Port created in PI.
i.e: There is no difference in communication(Point 1 and Point 2) both uses TRFC calls.

How to "hack" a contact to simulate an email received without receiving it

Hi everyone,
This may come off as a weird question, but to explain briefly: in a lead nurturing campaign, contacts are being sent an email every 2-3 weeks, but every time they flow in the program, they pass through the decision rules *received first mail?* -> *received second mail?* -> and so on, until they haven't received one, then they are being sent that one.
If a contact has received 3 or 4 emails already, and then decides to use another email address, I realize that by changing it, that email will become fresh in the program, and will go through email 1, 2, 3, etc. again. The program is done and is already live, so there's no changing it.
Would anyone know of a way to simulate that this new email address has received particular emails, without having to send them to this contact? Or is there really no choice than to let the new email address flow through everything again?

Thanks Allan for your answer - the "new" email address to use is actually already in our database, but it looks like the old one was entered in the program instead, and has already received 3 emails so far. Entering the other email address in the program will make it have to start from email #1. The contact has alerted us with a simple email reply from his older email.
I'm still thinking of a solution that would make things seamless - a dirty one that could work, again, is to just send all first 3 emails in a row to that contact's new email address after notifying him, and moving him in the appropriate step, but again, it's not the cleanest.

ATV2 - connecting speakers without receiver

I am planning to buy ATV2. I am interested in streaming music through ATV2. Is it possible to connect speakers to ATV2 without using receiver, I mean whether speakers can be directly connected with ATV2. During listening of music TV should be turned off.

You wouldn't need a receiver if you have powered speakers with an optical input. However you may find that if you turn your TV off while playing music that the Apple TV turns itself off and won't play.

Received HP Keyboard & Mouse without receiver... TWICE.

HP, I purchased the HP Envy Phoenix gaming desktop through Amazon May 6. The HP Elite Wireless Desktop & Mouse arrived without the HP Link-5 receiver required to pair the keyboard/mouse to the computer. I thought perhaps it was my fault, I didn't dig through the box carefully enough to find all the small parts. I went out and bought a cheap wired mouse/keyboard combo and have been using that since May. I could not find the HP Link-5 for sale as a standalone item, so I purchased an ENTIRELY new HP Wireless Elite Desktop v2 Keyboard & Mouse, order also fulfilled by Amazon. This one also shipped without a receiver. I have used HP desktops/printers/auxiliary devices for the past 10 years and have never had such a flub. Amazon informed me that they cannot just send me the missing part and that I should contact HP. Please advise.

Hello Wrongenvelope, You did open the battery compartment of the mouse? Its stored there from the factory. HP does not sell any dongle receiver's by themselves.If the box did not include the dongle, I would assume Amazon would need to give you one that does regardless of how many times they RMS'd it already. How to establish BGP Neighbourship without receiving BGP routes ?

I would like to establish BGP Neighbourship between my internet router and ISP router.
However I would not like my internet router to receive millions of bgp routes from the ISP router but my inside users should access internet via my internet router.

Also depending on you setup with your ISP, you might not need BGP at all. Sometimes the ISP will advertize your public IP space (i.e. you don't need to), and if they do, all you need is a default route out.
PS:
Also BTW, often for basic ISP connectivity, even when BGP peering with your ISP, the ISP will not send you any routes but a default (because with a single link, there's no need for them).
